Dark Matches:

Show starts with DWN in ring boasting about himself and how he´s going to be the first ever King of the Network champion. This draws Van Pelt from the back who declares that Newton´s road in the tournament ends tonight because Van Pelt himself will go to finals and prove everyone that not only does he deserves to be here, he´s one of the best there is in ESE. Newton laughs that off declaring that only thing Van Pelt deserves to be is another stepping stone for him in his way to stardom. E

http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/7710/kcglenn.jpg vs. http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/1629/benwilliamsalt3.jpg

KC Glenn vs. Cowboy Ben Williams

This was a decent starting match but there was little question on who´s going to win this one as though Williams did get sone offence in, Glenn never looked to be in any real danger and eventually he finished the match via Tune Up The Sunshine Band.

WINNER: KC Glenn by pinfall in 5:38 E+

ANGLE:

http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/7710/kcglenn.jpg

Glenn takes a microphone and challenges Cerberus for singles match, declaring that he´s not afraid of Cerberus just because some sneak attack, because he has already beaten him twice before and will gladly do it a third time too. F+

1 vs. 1

http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/3851/maddogmortimer.jpg vs. http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/4003/evilspirit.jpg

Mad Dog Mortimer vs. Evil Spirit

Evil Spirit is up to his usual tricks, which means a lot of stalling and mocking his opponent by mimicking his actions. It works this time too and Spirit collects his second win in ESE after he puts Mortimer down via Death Calm Drop II.

WINNER: Evil Spirit by pinfall in 5:22 E-

1 vs. 1

http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/3696/cerberusx.jpg vs. http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2306/brendanidol.jpg

Cerberus vs. Brendal Idol

Idol shows he´s experience here as he had fought against plenty of big guys on his career and know how to deal with them. Unfortunately for Idol, Cerberus isn´t particularly patient and after several minutes of hit-and-run attacks, Cerberus finally snaps and gets himself disqualified after he finally catches Idol and relentlessly attacks him with closed fists and shoving referee off from him instead of stopping his attack. Idol eventually managed to fight Cerberus of from him but he did take quite a beating and the question is will he be on full condition on next month´s tournament final?

WINNER: Brendal Idol by DQ in 5:42 E

2 vs. 2

Ant-Man & Outlaw Wes Revell vs. Blue Collars (Regular Joe & Josh Jones)

Blue Collars work better as a team and that what eventually decides this one as Joe is able to pin Revell after Joe To Behold and Ant-Man is too slow to help his partner because he had his hands full with Jones.

WINNERS: Blue Collars by pinfall in 8:27 E

1 vs. 1 King of the Network tournament semi-finals

http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/3930/jaysonvanpelthhj.jpg vs. http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/6573/daviswaynenewton2.jpg

Jayson Van Pelt vs. Davis Wayne Newton

Great match between two skilled youngsters but in the end only one could win this one and it proves to be Newton, who punches his ticked to tournament finals after putting Van Pelt down via Fisherman´s Suplex.

WINNER: Davis Wayne Newton by pinfall in 12:51 D-

ANGLE:

http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/6573/daviswaynenewton2.jpghttp://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2306/brendanidol.jpg

Newton waists little time to announce the audience that they had just witnessed how ESE´s own King of the Network champion works. This of course, draws Idol from the backstage and as you would expect he disagreed with Newton about who´s going to be the champion. The show ends with Idol and Newton standing next to each other´s keeping stern eye contact but they don´t come into blows while announcers hype the tournament finals that will be seen next month. E+

Show Rating: E+

Comments: Note to self, Glenn cannot improve angles, hence why his talking angle bombed. Ben Williams was unhappy about his loss to Glenn. Seriously, Williams? He´s not the one who I would expect to whine about putting others over. Oh well, I still did go with it. Findley O´Farraday founded PWMAX this month which means that I´m now 42th promotion in the world. USPW has dropped to cult too (Actually happened in February but I noticed it just now) so guess that SWF actually won the national battle at least for now.

Predictions:Jingo´s change on picking strategy really seemed to work as he got full score this time around.

:) The round proved to be little bit harder than I expected but guess that´s just because I have a clear picture who I´m pushing (big suprise there! Well actually it is but I do have a plan, a bad one but plan none-the-less :p). Most of you called right the wins for Glenn and Evil Spirit as well as the main event but the other two matches were generally the hard ones. Let´s tackle the easier matches first though. DWN did get into finals simply because I needed a heel to get there as Idol had already qualified and I wasn´t going to have the face vs. face penalty for a match that would main event my next show. With Jett leaving I needed to push another heel and thus Evil Spirit got a win. Now I´m still little bit undecided about whatever I keep Spirit or not but I have next to no trust on Cerberus in-ring skills and rest of the heel (Zachary, Williams and Revell) are jobbers and I don´t trust any of them to put decent rating either so that leaves Evil Spirit as the best option. Glenn over Ben was basic case of main event/ upper midcard guy going over jobber, not much else to say there. Idol over Cerberus was mainly case of overness as Idol was simply too over to lose. Also since he´s going to be in title match next month I wasn´t going to let him lose against a guy who isn´t in hte title picture currently. That said I did go for DQ win in order to keep Cerberus strong (and to avoid figuring a reason why Cerberus wouldn´t go against Idol considering that he´s hunting Glenn after losing to him). Blue Collars over Revell and Ant-Man was simply case of tag team going over random pairing.

This month we are going to crown the first King of the Network champion. The only question is will it be youngster Davis Wayne Newton or Brendal Idol who get the honor of being first ever champion? KC Glenn and Cerberus have been on each other´s throats ever since Glenn defeated Cerberus back in January and now they are going to clash in singles action again. Can Glenn get another win over Cerberus or will Cerberus show why he is one of the most feared mens in ESE´s roster? Ant-Man is trying to avenge his tag loss to Blue Collars as he faces Josh Jones in singles action, while Remmy Honeyman continues his quest to the top by facing Zachary Inc. Jayson Van Pelt and Mad Dog Mortimer will team up against Modern Day Outlaws to rounf out this month´s card.

This is going to be based purely on my TEW10 0/0/0/0 runs, but why not?

1 vs. 1

KC Glenn vs. Cerberus

Glenn is the man in smaller promotions.

1 vs. 1

Remmy Honeyman vs. Zachary Inc

Remmy is a solid performer, Zachary Inc... isn't :p

2 vs. 2

Jayson Van Pelt & Mad Dog Mortimer vs. Modern Day Outlaws (Cowboy Ben Williams & Outlaw Wes Revell)

I love Jayson, but Mad Dog Mortimer being his partner means I have to go against him. Also named team ftw.

1 vs. 1

Josh Jones vs. Ant-Man

Josh Jones has been nerfed on 13, and I've always had something of a soft spot for Ant Man.

1 vs. 1 King of the Network tournament finals

Davis Wayne Newton vs. Brendal Idol

You probably won't hold on to DWN for long, but may as well make the most of him while he's around.

Thanks, Prince of Studio title has seen a lot of action mostly in my personal games as I usually play 0/0/0/0 games and always with ESE and no doubt it will see lots of action in the future too. :)

KC Glenn vs. Cerberus

Glenn used his speed and technicues to control much of the early match but after Cerberus did get few hits in, things evened up and eventually Glenn falls victim to DDT.

WINNER: Cerberus by pinfall in 6:20 E+

1 vs. 1

Remmy Honeyman /w. Roger Rogers vs. Zachary Inc

Zachary Inc did put-up a decent fight but there was no stopping Honeyman this time and he collects the victory after Flying Legdrop.

WINNER: Remmy Honeyman by pinfall in 6:14 E+

2 vs. 2

http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/3930/jaysonvanpelthhj.jpg & http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/3851/maddogmortimer.jpg vs. http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/1629/benwilliamsalt3.jpg & http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/5565/outlawwesrevell.jpg

Jayson Van Pelt & Mad Dog Mortimer vs. Modern Day Outlaws (Cowboy Ben Williams & Outlaw Wes Revell)

Modern Day Outlaws do show slightly better team work than their opponents but that wasn´t enough for them as Van Pelt manages to pin Williams for the three count after Axe Kick, while Mortimer keeps Revell from interfering.

WINNERS: Jayson Van Pelt & Mad Dog Mortimer by pinfall in 6:24 E-

1 vs. 1

http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/2738/joshjones.jpg vs. http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/4683/antmanz.jpg

Josh Jones vs. Ant-Man

Ant-Man uses his usual intense all-out-attack method that doesn´t leave his opponent much time to catch breath. However during most of the match Jones seems to be well in the match and manages to give as much punishment as he takes. However after about then minutes Ant-Man finally gets the upper hand and soon after that the match is finished via Antidote as Ant-Man picks up the victory.

WINNER: Ant-Man by pinfall in 12:14 E

Ant-Man doesn´t seem to be ready to stop just yet as he continues his attack but Joe runs in and saves his partner from further damage. F+

Davis Wayne Newton vs. Brendal Idol

This was a great match between two of ESE´s biggest start. Both guys get about similar amount of offence and both kick out once after their opponents finishers but eventually Newton cheats his way to victory after low blow is followed Fisherman´s Suplex and a pin where Newton uses ring ropes to get extra leverage just to make things sure.

WINNER: Davis Wayne Newton by pinfall in 12:12 D

Show Grading: E+

Comments: Idol was extremely unhappy about losing but what could I do? There just isn´t enough creditable heel challengers for face champ so heel had to get the title. Bad planning on my part since I should have been prepared for Jett/DWN leaving but I wasn´t so now I just have to deal with the consequences. I did gave Idol a bonus of 2000$ and he dropped back to annoyed (from angry), so hopefully there won´t be any ill effects later on. Guess I have to be pretty careful about Idol since he does seem to think he´s the top star around. ACPW becomes the first company closing in this diary, which means that Ant-Man and Jayson Van Pelt work only for me right now. I´m always feel little bit bad when another company goes down but that´s life and it doesn´t really affect me in anyway. Dean Daniels have taken over USPW when Sam Strong left the business. Ben Williams really seems to have decided to annoy me. Now he´s whining about his current push (lower midcard). I did put him up to midcard just to cease getting an e-mail on it every week but this combined with his low stamina aren´t helping his case. KC Glenn and Remmy Honeyman seem to be on friendly terms, which is nice since (hopefully) both will be important parts on my roster for next few years. Glenn also signed a p.p.a contract with CZCW, proving that he is on the radar for quite many companies, which of course likely won´t be a good thing for me in the long run.

Predictions: 4/5 was the best score anyone got in this round. The one match that everyone picked wrong was Cerberus vs. Glenn and that´s easy to see why. Heck I would myself pick Glenn nine times out of ten in that match but this time Cerberus needed the win for storyline reasons as he was already being pinned by Glenn twice, during this feud. Another hard one was the tag match between Modern Day Outlaws and Van Pelt & Mortimer. To be honest I wasn´t happy about that booking but I wasn´t going to have Van Pelt to lose against jobber team and figured that I could give Mortimer a win for a change. I did thought about just putting either one of the Outlaws with Zachary in this one but figured that even with loss it was better to just put Ben and Wes in there together so that they could gather tag team experience. It was interesting to see that everyone did go with DWN in the main event as my original plan was to have Idol win the title (and drop it to Jett during next year) but Jett leaving made me change my plans because of lack of good heel challengers. Ant-Man did get a win over Jones simply because he´s the one in the feud right now and since Joe is probably seen as better guy from their team (I know I see it that way) it made little sence to have Ant-Man lose to Jones. Remmy over Zachary was the usual story of midcard guy (Though he actually auto-push as main eventer currently) over jobber.

Newly crowned King of the Network champion Davis Wayne Newton didn´t waste any time to claim his superiority over everyone else in the roster and as a proof he declared that he will be putting his title on the line against anyone from the roster. Remmy Honeyman was the first person to accept the challenge and thus our main event in this month will be one versus one match with the King of the Network belt on the line. Can Honeyman shut down the arrogant champion or will DWN prove once again that he´s just as good as he thinks he is? There will also be a three way match for number one contender spot for King of the Network title between Ant-Man, Jayson Van Pelt and Regular Joe so who ever walks away with the belt this month will surely has his hands full in coming months too. Brendal Idol will also be in action after losing in tournament finals. He will be facing Outlaw Wes Revell in singles action. KC Glenn and Cerberus will also clash once again this time in tag team action where Glenn teams up with Josh Jones while Cerberus will team-up with Zachary Inc.

Show starts with DWN in-ring hyping himself. He basically just declares that he´s the best wrestler in ESE and that as a sign of his dominance he did give a free title shot to anyone on the roster who thinks that he could be beaten. He also tells that Remmy Honeyman have accepted his challenge and thus gets the honor of being first to many who will fail to get the King of the Network title off from him. D-

Outlaw Wes Revell vs. Brendal Idol

Idol seems quite focused on this match and he gives Revell very little change to go into offence. Idol isn´t in any real danger during the match and eventually he picks up the win via Idolizer.

WINNER: Brendal Idol by pinfall in 6:41 E

ANGLE:

http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2306/brendanidol.jpg

Idol takes time after the match to address what happened in last month´s title match. Idol admits that despite the plain cheating that Newton used the fact remains that Newton pinned him. Idol tells everyone that he is very much still in title picture but right now it´s the winner of three way match later tonight who will be the new number one contender and Idol respects that and won´t interfere in title chase until the current challenger has got his shot. Instead Idol tells that he is now concentrating on New Beginning tournament that will happen in December. The rules for this tournament are simple. Eight man enters in single elimination rounds and the eventual winner gets a title shot anywhere during the next calendar year. There is two rules on this one. Firstly winner can decide which type of match it will be and when it will be. Secondly he has to announce the match month before the match so that current champion has proper time to get himself ready. Idol states at the end that he plans to be the winner of the tournament and after that he will cash his title shot and become new King of the Network champion. E-

KC Glenn & Josh Jones vs. Cerberus & Zachary Inc

Glenn and Cerberus still seem to have lots of bad blood between each other´s and whenever they both are in the ring things get heated up quickly. The match itself is quite even with Zachary and Cerberus using their power advantage which Jones and Glenn counter with their greater speed and better technics. Eventually it´s Glenn who picks the three count when he pins Zachary after Tune Up The Sunshine Band.

At the end though Ant-Man and Joe concentrate little bit too much on each other´s thanks to their recent history and Joe especially seems to have a score to settle after Ant-Man attacked his tag partner last month. Van Pelt picks up the benefits from the rivalry as he manages to hit both guys with Axe Kicks before pinning Ant-Man and punching his ticket to title match.

WINNER: Jayson Van Pelt by pinfall in 11:41 E

Van Pelt´s celebration is cut short as Newton once again comes to the ringside in arrogant fashion and mockingly congratulates Van Pelt but claims that he has no chance of beating him and suggests that Van Pelt should watch the main event in order to see how real wrestler works. E+

Remmy Honeyman /w. Roger Rogers vs. Davis Wayne Newton

DWN might be arrogant but it has to be admitted that he has skills to back-up his huge ego. Honeyman makes a brave effort but ultimately falls short as Newton hits him with Fisherman´s Suplex and picks up his first successful title defense.

WINNER: Davis Wayne Newton by pinfall in 9:52 D+

Show Grading: E+

Comments: Wow, what a great main event. Sadly other matches weren´t nearly as good, I was disappointed about the semi-main event as I was expecting better from that after all I consider those three as some of my top guys. Overall the show did what it needed to do so it´s all good but it´s no secret that there are currently only few guys who can really bring great ratings.

Charasmatic Enigma and Jingo shared the best score (3/4) this time. It was the number one contender match that was the hardest to guess and infact, no-one got that right. I was actually little bit suprised that Ant-Man was the favorite to win considering that he´s heel and I have a heel champ, but maybe it was more down to vote who you wanted to win. In the end Van Pelt got the victory because Joe nad Ant-Man were already feuding with each other´s and that match was an easy way to further that feud as well with having them cost each other´s the victory and title shot. Other matches were more or less straight forward cases. Zachary is a pure jobber as I just can´t get past his poor stamina so win over Glenn & Jones was out of the question even though Cerberus is actually decent partner as he´s doing rather well right now (for a big guy with no real wrestling skills, that is). Idol whined on his loss against DWN last month so I wasn´t going to give him any more reason to be unhappy as he´s still needed and Wes is jobber anyway. DWN wasn´t going to drop the title on his first defense either and certainly not without any build-up.

This round:

Charasmatic Enigma 3/4

Jingo 3/4

Boltinho 1/4

Overall:

Jingo 20/32

BHK1978 18/28

Tiberious4 14/14

Occasional_Z 14/19

Jaded 11/18

Boltinho 7/14

TakerNGN74 6/9

Charasmatic Enigma 6/9

kanegan 4/5

BYU 14 2/4

I hate to copy Occasional_Z's picks but they are all sound and would be the picks I would make on my own. I think talent wise these picks are the way to go. The only one I am iffy on is the Remmy/Ben match because I think Ben might be more popular but I am not sure about it.

Then again the dude did lose to Mad Dog Mortimer a couple of shows back so that cannot bode well for him and his future.

1 vs. 1

Jayson Van Pelt vs. Evil Spirit

JVP is talented, whereas Evil Spirit is pain backstage (at least he was in '10)

1 vs. 1

Ant-Man vs. Paranoia

Power>Para

1 vs. 1

Remmy Honeyman vs. Cowboy Ben Williams

I've never been able to see Ben Williams as anything other than a jobber unfortunately.

2 vs. 2

Brendal Idol & KC Glenn vs. Cerberus & Outlaw Wes Revell

Idol & Glenn both have the potential to be top guys in a small fed, whereas as Cerburus & Outlaw... don't

1 vs. 1

Josh Jones vs. Davis Wayne Newton

Jones isn't as talented as he was in '10, whereas DWN is still a world beater for a promotion of your size.
