21CW World Title Steel Cage Match: Dark Angel vs Edward Cornell

Dark Angel and Edward Cornell beat each other to pulp and it looks like Edward Cornell will have finally won the big one when he delivered a Black Lightning Bomb on the cage walls to Dark Angel but Angel kicks out. Frustrated, Cornell beats some more and delivers another Black Lightning Bomb. He continues beating Dark Angel black and blue.

Welcome, I am Richie Murdoch, once again coming to you from TEW.com the home of all things wrestling and this time we have a huge story to break.
 

Yesterday night was 21CW’s annual September PPV, Dangerous Alliances. Everything has been going great for them. Matches had been good, feuds had been built up nicely and everybody was looking forward to the main event of the World Title match between the defending champion Dark Angel and the reigning UK champion who gave up his belt for this opportunity, Edward Cornell.
 

But, what transpired was an unlikely sequence of events that you would never have seen before. As, Edward Cornell was getting more and more frustrated unable to put down Dark Angel, he snapped and beat Angel to death. Then, he went further and in one of the most iconic moments in UK wrestling as well as world wrestling, Cornell climbed up the sidewalls of the cage and went on top. From there, he delivered one of the most brutal promos ever seen in wrestling event bashing Angel, Jeff Nova and whole of 21CW in particular for keeping him down and making him a sideshow. He quit the promotion at that time.

We still don’t know whether the end was a work or intentional on the part of Edward Cornell but if it is all his own doing, he might face a big lawsuit.

We are following up the huge story that developed a few days ago in 21CW. In what has become one of the most iconic moments in UK wrestling history, Edward shoots against his employers and left 21CW.  My inside sources told me that the beating of Dark Angel by Edward Cornell was actually part of the plan of 21CW management to turn Cornell heel and give him a concentrated push towards the world title. But, what followed that was something nobody would have thought even in their dreams.
  

Jeff has since refused to comment on the incident so far and neither have we heard anything from Edward. He proclaimed that revolution or rather Cornell-o-volution is coming.

 

Was he plain stupid to refuse such a great opportunity or does he really have something in his sleeve?? Keep reading this space as we bring you all the scoop on this particular sequence of events.

Yes, we have. Our Dynamic Duo Division is choc-a-bloc with great tag teams from all over UK. Tonight all of them will get a chance to take the first step towards winning the title. The title will be contested next month in our event Battlefront and tonight we will get the qualifiers. But before that lets hear from our hero,” The Franchise Player” Edward Cornell.

Edward Cornell comes down through the entrance decked up in a suave suit, high fives with the ringside fans and then slowly makes his way to the ring. The 300 strong crowd pops large for Edward. He takes in all the adulation and then starts speaking.

Elimination Agents vs. Youth Bandits

In an open match, the Youth Bandits made the first significant move of the match, when Ian Vincible delivers a Pegasus Cross Body to Genocide Agent followed by a brutal Logan’s Run (Clothesline from Hell) from Cannonball Logan. Suicide makes the save in time and then after some back and forth creates an opening when he clotheslines Vincible out of the ring.  Genocide follows that up by delivering the Genocide Effect (hanging powerslam) to Cannonball and gets the three count.

Anglo-Scots Connection vs. Sharp & Heath

Celtic and London comes down dancing their way towards the ring. Sharp & Heath on the other hand comes down waving the Union Jack. It was a very close match and after several near falls from both side, Davey London finally made Jon Michael Sharp submit with the London Bridge.

Barry Griffin vs. Hugh De Aske

Hugh De Aske comes down to the ring draped in pirate costumes and floors Barry Griffin with a right hook even before the bell has been rung. From there on, it’s a constant theme as Hugh dominates before Barry makes a comeback for a short period of time. During one of these comebacks, he manages to hold up Hugh for a long time before delivering a quick Powerbomb and going for the Griffin Lock (Powerbomb DeathLock). Hugh holds on, finally breaking the lock before repeatedly kicking Griffin on the shin slowing him down and then finishing him with Cross Bones Driver.

Edward Cornell vs. Billy Robinson

In an extremely close bout, both of them beat each other to pulp but neither man backed down. Finally getting frustrated, Edward tried to bash Billy with a steel chair but Billy had same plans as he had got a Singapore cane with him. Both hit each other with their weapons just in front of the referee which brought an end to the match.
