Also, in honor of Max Max 3: Beyond thunderdome, any Orc team I build from now on will have both a Goblin named Masta and a Troll named Blasta. Because honestly, why wouldn't I? That's your 1,000,000 gp budget to buy players, rerolls, etc. players will level up (and increase in value) as they gain SPP (star player points) and you can buy more stuff as you get match purses. Honorable Horrors 2 Death Pass Devils 0 The Horrors were anything but Honorable reducing the luckless Devils down to seven players by the end of the game (fortunately no deaths!). The Horrors scored towards the end of the first half and again right at the end of the second half for a deserved win. The Devils go back to the drawing board to formulate some sort of game plan (any plan would be nice) whilst the Horrors record their first points of the season. Especially my last drive in the second half, which involved, among other things: - A pitch invasion knocking out my troll, a linerat, my thrower, two goblins and two Norse guys. - My goblin failing a dodge (his ONLY USE IN THE ENTIRE GAME IS DODGING) which could possibly have lead to a TD. - My thrower, in the next turn, then fumbling a pass (HIS ONLY... you get the idea) - Me finishing the drive with eight players on the pitch (out of a starting roster of 13). Both Blitzers managing to break away, but then being one square too far away from the thrower to catch the ball. Meaning... - Out of petulance, despair and quite frankly by that point, depression, I threw the ball over three possible interceptors TO MY TROLL (in the middle of the LoS) in the hope that his strength would be enough to stop him being knocked over and them stealing it for 4-0 (I had no viable defenders left if this happened, even if Maxx idiotically ran straight into them). Not only was it a Perfect Launch, but the interception missed AND THE TROLL, WITH AG1 AND IN THREE TACKLE ZONES, CAUGHT IT. I don't even... - As it turns out, it was lucky I didn't get the ball to the Blitzers, because I'd forgotten that this was the last turn of the game, and to be robbed of a TD by the game ending would've seriously annoyed me. Other fun things that happened: - Maxx's troll literally spend more turns refusing to move than it did doing useful stuff. - One of my goblins died in the first half and my apothecary could only kill him more. A lineman and a Goblin were also injured and will miss the next game. I could only replace two goblins, so will be starting the next game with 11 players (perilous for us!). Against Chaos Dwarfs. Uh-oh. So, all in all, Underworld are hilarious but frustrating. I'm really hoping the game against Nurgle, if I have any players left, is where I avoid the wooden spoon. They're the only team in the league I really have any advantage over because the rest of you are annoyingly fast (too fast for MA7 to be an 'advantage' anyway) and are all pretty much bashy (at least, capable of bashing skaven and goblins). My team performed better than I hoped (minus the troll who failed the wild animal check 3/4 the game), and I got lucky on a few rolls where D flubbed his dodge and GfI rolls. My runner Kormak scored all three touchdowns, and was given MVP by the game, meaning he is nearly at level three, and will probably soon have a bounty on his head. I've had that with my 'taur before, where everyone and their dog fumbles the ball except from him. I managed to get a beastman (Earl Watson) up to level two via scoring both my TDs. I always forget what it's like having a team where no-one has Block. I also did not expect this one to go 2-0, but your turn 15 was perfect. Two reasons I love playing Amazon: Cheap players who all have Dodge, and cheap rerolls (50k) I can field 11 players with 4 re-rolls and an apothecary with TV1000. One thing about streaming, I need to stay focused -- that one kickoff I didn't realize Jingo had set his lineup and I completely missed placing the kick.
