WCW '94: War of the Thrones

The wrestling world is in a state of flux. Old talents out, new talents in, all the time. What used to work, sometimes no longer does. The crowds start to catch on to the fresh new thing, but if they don't get what they want, they don't stick around.

This is where we enter World Championship Wrestling.

They have just gotten done hiring the biggest name in all sports-entertainment, "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan. All systems appear to be a go, as WCW are set to produce the match that the World Wrestling Federation never got to pull the trigger on: Hulk Hogan against "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. The entire wrestling world is skeptical over what can happen now, when two of the biggest egos collide at Bash at the Beach.

However, these aren't the only egos being dealt with.

A lot of wrestlers can be known to get a big head once they feel they deserve something. There are a lot of them in WCW itself, either massive egos or people simply becoming complacent with their spot in the company. Everyone needs to be kept in check once in awhile, even WCW's own Executive Vice President, Eric Bischoff. Eric has a lot of innovative ideas. There are a lot of people who need pushed, there are a lot who need brought out of their own discomfort zone. A lot of those ideas which Eric is proposing requires the boys to follow the script, without question, in order to get to the big picture. Even Ted Turner himself is a little afraid of finding what will happen when heads butt backstage, and so he's gotten a little insurance policy that will make sure the locker room of his little cash cow project will remain harmonious. Mr. Turner is an old school 'rasslin fan through and through, yet he likes the new ideas that Bischoff wants to introduce. But someone needs to make sure cool heads will always prevail.

That's why we introduce this man.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HarleyRace.jpg

"Handsome" Harley Race. Long known as one of wrestling's toughest men. Now appointed to the unofficial title of "locker room leader," his role is to make sure that all things which the office wants, happens. The locker room is full of prima donnas. From the little fish such as Steven Regal and Marcus Bagwell, up the ladder to the Flairs and Hogans, and even Bischoff himself, "The Fear of Harley" is to keep them in line.

Harley will be on his toes, as soon there will be the start of a new eon in World Championship Wrestling, and perhaps even in all of wrestling itself.

For those with short attention span, the abridged version: Harley Race is in charge of keeping bitches in line. That's pretty much my backstory in a nutshell. I've used Race as my avatar for this game, as head booker. Ted Turner is still owner, though story-wise it's still Eric in charge of the writing.

*Phew*

I've read a lot of diaries on this board over the years, but now I'm finally going to contribute. I haven't even written anything in about three years, let alone doing a diary, I'd say that's been about five years ago when I did one last. I have a long-term goal for this game, and I hope some of you whom I've followed in the past will return the favor. And don't feel bad telling me something format-wise isn't working; without constructive criticism, I don't get any better, do I? Photos I use are from the nGo pack. And much, much thanks to Hive for the mod that I'm using here. Okay, well without any further adieu, here we go.

Badd was pinned by Steve Austin after Austin used a foreign object, but referee Randy Anderson came out and called him on it and counted a three when Badd rolled Austin up. The standing call is that Badd won by disqualification. This match nearly goes to the TV title's time limit, with the noble Regal trading holds and counterholds against Badd's boxing background. Badd rallies toward the end, but when he goes up the ropes for the ten punch countdown he gets distracted by Sir William outside! Regal catches his breath and rolls Badd up to get the three count.</p><p> [center<em>Rating: C</em>[/center]</p><p> </p><p> We're backstage where Brian Armstrong, somewhat distraught after his loss earlier, is talking to brother Brad. This being only the second match that Arn and Dustin have been teaming together, Eaton and Keirn use their experience to isolate Arn. Psychology noted by Dusty: Anderson is the far more decorated tag team wrestler, and far less hot-headed than Dustin, so when Eaton goads him, Dustin runs in the ring and costs them an advantage. Everything from referee placement to luring Rhodes into the ring get used, as "Double A" gets punished with the ring cut off. Arn gets a lucky break when Keirn and Eaton mistime a double backdrop, leading to Anderson hitting them both with stereo clotheslines! Arn makes the hot tag and Dustin is all over them with punches and bionic elbows! Rhodes takes Bobby out with a bulldog as Arn spins Keirn around and spikes him with a DDT for the victory.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Rating: C+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> After the match, Dustin and Arn stop by the announce table and get a microphone. Still, the pop is louder than not, and "The Hulkster" makes his way to the ring. He gets on the microphone and tells of how excited he is to be here in front of all the Hulkamaniacs from the WCW side of the fence! He says how he's been backstage all night training with his good friend Mr. T, getting ready for his debut match at Bash at the Beach. Sting says that he is also a five-time champion (once in the NWA, twice in WCW, and two International World title reigns) and that he'd love to make that six sooner rather than later! However, he also wants to say that he's happy to see Hogan in WCW now, because it means they've entered a new era, an era where the best get ahead, because now they have all of the best in one place! And with that, he extends his hand and on behalf of WCW, offers his welcome to Hulk Hogan! Sting also says that he knows Ric Flair almost as much as he knows himself, and that Flair can be a tricky one, "Slick Ric" to be sure, and in order to make sure the same thing doesn't happen to Hulk as what did himself at Clash of the Champions, he will gladly help out the Hulkster with any advice he wants! The crowd let a loud cheer at the idea of the two fan favorites working together, as Hogan accepts the handshake and is generally happy that Sting has given his blessing to Hulk challenging for the top prize in the industry. Gene prompts Flair, asking him that after we heard about how Hulk Hogan is training with his megastar friend Mr. T, and now it appears Sting is willing to help Hogan as well, how is Flair getting ready for the big match at the Bash? Flair scoffs, saying that he's preparing the only ways he knows how, the two-sided workout plan he's had for years; "keep sharp in the ring by actually WRESTLING rather than just hanging around with buddies outside the ring, and keep cardio up with your momma after the show!" Flair says that he has friends too, and they're doing what they can to make sure Hogan does NOT leave Orlando with HIS World title. WCW Television - July 1994, Week 2

PreShow

Harlem Heat defeated Scott Stud and Terry Taylor, the Big Apple Blast spelling the end for Taylor as Booker covered him shortly after. Stud and Taylor surprised management by doing very well as a team. ©

Lord Steven Regal didn't have to defend his championship this evening, but he was still victorious over Brad Armstrong. A rare clean victory from the nobleman, he put Brad away with the Regal Stretch. ©

Terry Funk defeated The Patriot in a match that would've been good enough for TV. Funk got the win after a piledriver to put the masked man away. (B-)

The show opens with the WCW World Heavyweight champion standing in the center of the ring. He is still noted as missing "Sensuous" Sherri at his side, and doesn't look pleased. He tells the people that he started something last week, that he didn't get to finish. But the important thing was, that he saw something: he saw a man in front of him who is supposed to be as hard as the Rock of Gibralter, and he saw him flinch. He took what Hogan dished out, and Flair kept on coming, until security had to pry the two apart. He says that Hulk needs to listen and listen good - he may have had a slew of cronies to lay down for him elsewhere, who let him think he was something special; but this is WCW! This is the world built by the Nature Boy! And even in Hogan's own home of Florida at Bash at the Beach, he will see Hogan flinch again - and it'll be the last flinch he makes before submitting to the figure four! Wooooo!! A solid portion of the crowd are booing loudly, but a few diehards are cheering for Flair on this one and his passion for this company. Flair is ready to leave the ring, but wait, what's this?

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ArnAnderson.jpg

What does Arn Anderson want?! Flair is confused, yelling just that out of the ring to his best friend and former Horsemen running mate. Arn walks down the aisle slowly, giving everyone time for this to sink in, soaking in the atmosphere as everyone bristles with excitement. Arn climbs into the ring, playing to the crowd for a moment as the champion just looks on, befuddled. He walks over to Flair and asks for his microphone, which is given. "The Enforcer" is very low-key yet powerful, as he talks about how he and Flair have a kind of an agreement right now. They each have kept out of one another's business since that "last experiment" got away from them last year. But there's something that Arn has to ask Flair about, right now in front of all these people, and that's Sting. He says he wants to know, man to man, if Flair is the one who took Sting out last week in the parking lot.

The crowd are really on edge now, as Flair responds that he didn't know anything about the attack until after the show, as he was busy preparing for his match. He says even as much as he doesn't like Sting, he respects him a lot more than to destroy him like that. Anderson seems satisfied, even as Dusty on commentary gets a little smarmy about Flair and not doing attacks in the parking lots. But Arn then turns a full 180, and says that as much as he wants to believe Ric wouldn't have had any knowledge of it, he knows him too well. Flair looks shocked at the accusation, but Arn holds up a hand to calm Ric and let him finish; he continues by saying that he knows him so well that there's only one way, even as he hears Ric's words, that he can ever tell one hundred and fifty percent that he's telling the truth - that's to do as brothers do, and fight! Flair says that he's completely innocent, but if that's what he has to do, then he'll meet Arn in the ring in the main event tonight!

We head backstage to where The Guardian Angel is helping Mr. T warm up, as he throws a few punches into a punching bag. The door opens and Hulk Hogan enters the room! Hogan tells them that he's glad to see Mr. T taking such an interest in everything, but that he didn't bring him here for anything like this; "facing a big nasty dude like Vader isn't part of the plan, brother." Mr. T says he isn't about to back down when he's challenged, saying "that foo' gon' get wha's comin to 'im!" Hogan says okay, and says that he'll be watching closely in case of anything getting out of hand, adding that he wouldn't be surprised if Flair wouldn't be lurking around the match to try and hurt him through his friends. He wishes Mr. T luck in the match, and lets them get back to training.

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff vs. Flyin' Brian

Unfortunately for these two, they just didn't seem to connect in the ring with one another. Let's just call this one "long story short" and say that after a match full of dull, misdirected action, Brian rolled up Orndorff with a cradle to get the win.

"Pretty" Paul Roma looks ready to jump up and do something, but when he tries to get after Pillman, he gets knocked back by the World Tag Team champions! Kevin Sullivan and Cactus Jack come raging out from the back and a wild brawl is going on around ringside! A handful of officials tear them apart from one another after a few minutes, as Dave is cheering it all on from the rear. These four men meet next week at the Bash for the Tag titles, and if this brawl is anything like their match will be, we should be in for one crazy affair!

Johnny B. Badd vs. Ron Simmons

Oh yeah, this match was more like it! The crowd woke up here, as Badd does exactly what his character is good for - pumping everyone up. The match itself is a hard-hitting event that sees momentum swing back and forth repeatedly. Johnny finally sees an opening and hits Big Ron with an over the top rope plancha, playing to the crowd afterwards only briefly before sending Simmons back into the ring. Badd uses his speed to keep away from his large foe, and he jacks Ron's jaw with a big Diss That Don't Miss! Badd is rolling as the crowd cheer him on, but one spectator doesn't sit well with Johnny....

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/StevenRegal.jpg

Lord Steven Regal has joined us at the top of the entranceway, watching his Bash at the Beach adversary closely. Badd loses focus, yelling at Regal that he better not come any closer than that. Regal doesn't move, but a smile comes across his lips when he sees Johnny turn around into a brutal spinebuster! Simmons falls on top and gets the three, much to Lord Regal's delight.

We're backstage in the dressing room of Hulk Hogan. Hogan has been watching the show, and he's on the phone when there's a knock at the door. He asks his caller if they can hold on a second, figuring it's his catering, and he calls that it's open. What he doesn't expect however is a starstruck Flyin' Brian coming in, barraging Hogan with praise and how big a fan he's been ever since 1984. Brian is just excited to meet a hero, but Hogan doesn't know what is really going on; he asks Brian to slow down, take a breath. Pillman asks Hogan to sign a few things for him, when Hulk says yes, but later, as he's currently got Turner executives on the phone to try and get details ironed out on a new television series. Brian excuses himself, saying he didn't know and just knew Hogan wasn't preparing for a match tonight so he wanted to meet him. Brian leaves, and Hulk shakes his head, muttering "crazy fans" before going back to his phone call.

"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes vs. Bunkhouse Buck with Colonel Robert Parker

A guest voice is on commentary when we come back from commercial, as Terry Funk has joined us for this match. He stays there, leaving this match to be a good one on one. Buck is a solid hand in the ring, and he uses his old school savvy to outwit the hot-headed, younger Rhodes. Dusty is cheering his son on over commentary, even getting into several arguments with Terry over what will be the result at the Bash. Buck gets Rhodes set for a piledriver, but Dustin is able to get a second wind and backdrop out of it, and he catches Buck with a bulldog as he's getting back to his feet! Dustin rolls him over and hooks the leg, getting the win, much to Funk's chagrin.

We go to Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes, and Tony says they have someone being put through on the phone to the production truck; "Have ya missed me, Schiavone?" comes the voice of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Heenan says that he thinks he knows what's going on, and while he's been blocked from entering the building the past two weeks, he's gotten hold of some of the higher-ups of WCW and he WILL be on hand to talk to the humanoids on The Main Event about where he's been, what's been happening in the back.

Guardian Angel is walking backstage after going to get a drink for Mr. T, when he's approached by a visitor he didn't expect. Harley Race comes up to him, asking for a moment of his time. Angel tells him to make it quick, and Race does. Harley tells him that he knows Angel has no reason to listen to a broken-down old man like him, but he wants to warn him. Angel is obviously skeptical, watching over his back for a Vader attack, but Harley tells him not to worry about it. After last week, Harley says, Vader was so hot and outright ready to tear someone's head off that in his rage he fired Race as his manager for holding him back from the fight. Race says that in no way did he have anything to do with Vader's challenge to Mr. T last week. He urges Angel and Mr. T to back off, as Vader is far more dangerous than he's ever seen him. He wants him to tell Mr. T, this is no movie, there is no A-Team coming for him, this isn't Clubber Lang fighting some little meatball; for their own well-being, step down. The Georgia native takes this all in, and says that he believes Harley, but he isn't backing off an inch. This thing with he and Vader has been going since February, and he plans to end it victoriously, not with his tail between his legs. Race says alright, and says simply that he tried.

Non-Title: Stunning Steve Austin vs. Marcus Bagwell

Tony and Dusty both talk about how they didn't care for Austin's surprise attack last week on Ricky Steamboat. They talk more about the match coming up than they do about this one, which I would say kinda gives the result away long before anyone wanted to. Bagwell does what he can, puts up a good fight, but Austin is feeling it, and plus he's working to be ready for Steamboat in a week. Stunning Steve takes all that the tag team specialist can dish out, but Bagwell never really recovers from missing a dive off the top rope. Austin hits him with an elbow drop from the second rope, then hooks in the That's a Wrap reverse figure four to get the win.

After the match, Austin gets on the microphone at ringside. He says that Bagwell's become just another name on the list of those who try and fail to take Stunning Steve down a notch, and coming soon to the list is gonna be Ricky Steamboat. He says Steamboat better be ready for spending a lot of time with his family, as Austin is going to put him down like a sick animal! Stunning Steve says that the only way he's not going to slay "The Dragon" is if Steamboat does what he should have done to start with, and call the match off! The crowd boos at the thought, and Austin feels pretty good about himself, until Nick Bockwinkel comes out and interrupts. The Commissioner says that there's no way anything like that is happening, so Austin better forget that idea right now! He goes on to say that he doesn't think someone acting like Austin does, attacking from behind and all, should be holding such a prestigious title, and although he can't physically do anything about it, he'll be almost happy to be setting matches with a class act like Ricky Steamboat holding the United States championship! Austin doesn't like that, but he doesn't get much chance to say anything baout it as Steamboat comes out of nowhere and takes him down to the mat! Punches fly as "The Dragon" is on fire! Austin has no choice but to roll out of the ring, going to retrieve his title belt and head back up the entranceway, shaking his head and saying "You ain't getting my belt! It's mine!"

Mr. T vs. Vader

As Tony says during introductions: "This is really happening." What follows is a mess of punches, kicks, fighting outside the ring, fighting inside the ring. The Guardian Angel is shown watching from the entraceway, letting T fight his own battle. Mr. T tries to do a little bit of wrestling about halfway into the "match", but Vader overpowers the much smaller actor, sending him into the ropes and hitting a vicious body block when he comes back... and it's all downhill from there. Vader picks him up and shoves him into the turnbuckles, and utterly hammers away with punch after punch. Blood flies from the mouth of the actor, as commentary say that this is getting painful to watch. Mr. T wants to fight, but eventually the barrage has gotten too much; when referee Nick Patrick finally gets Vader to back off, Mr. T's legs fail him, not letting him get back to his feet. A judgment call is made, and the match is called off and awarded to the monster.

The bell has no sooner rung than Guardian Angel and Hulk Hogan rush down to the ring, Hogan with a chair. They get in between Vader and Mr. T, giving them some separation and time to get Mr. T out of the ring. Tony says it's a good thing, because Vader didn't look like he was going to stop. The message has been delivered clearly: Vader is ready to do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

Non-Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson

Tony says that Arn was heard telling an official backstage that he didn't care about getting Flair's title, he just wants to have a match with him to find out if he's telling the truth about Sting. Everyone is on the edge of their seats, and these two best friends do all they can. Flair seems especially to be fighting for his life, working to prove himself to Arn. Even from the initial lockup, the two are so evenly matched and know one another's tricks of the trade so well that neither can ever really seem to get a full advantage. When one gets ahead, the other is able to turn it around. Arn works over Flair's neck and back, with a bit of Anderson arm work, and anytime Flair is in charge of the match he goes after Arn's leg. The psychologies are clear from each of them. The match eventually spills outside the ring. Flair is sent into the guardrail, and from the crowd comes a fist that decks Anderson!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/SherriMartel.jpg

It's Sherri! She's in the building, in the crowd! She punched Arn Anderson, unbeknownst to Flair or the referee. Ric sends Arn back into the ring, but as soon as Sherri screams for Flair he notices her and realizes what happened.... and he's mad! He yells at Sherri, telling her that this was not her business to interfere with! "This is family" he's heard telling her. Flair gets on the apron and tells her that she's fired! That's huge! Ric Flair just fired Sensuous Sherri! She is completely beside herself, and Flair turns and tells her to leave. Flair turns back to Anderson. And gets planted with a spinebuster! Arn rolls forward and grabs the leg, getting the one-two-three! Everyone is in shock, including Anderson himself!

Rating: B

"The Enforcer" is in surprise as he gets up on the turnbuckles, posing to the crowd. Ric Flair comes back to and slaps the mat in frustration, but rolls out of the ring in order to give his friend his moment. Dusty makes sure to remind everyone that the World Heavyweight title was NOT on the line, so as amazing a moment this is, Hogan against Flair is still fully on for the Bash.

But the Stud Stable decide to crash the party.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/TerryFunk.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Meng.jpg

Terry Funk and Meng rush Arn after this emotional, grueling match. Funk whacks Anderson with a chair, as Meng puts boots to him. Dustin Rhodes comes out, but he too gets beaten with the chair. Both men are down, and it looks like the Stable are getting the last laugh on this one.

BUT THERE'S FLAIR!!

Ric Flair comes to the aid of his friend, spinning Funk around and lighting him up with chops! Meng comes over and grabs Flair from behind, but he gets the trick knee low blow! Flair is helping to fight them off, as Anderson gets back to his feet and starts fighting again! Flair and Anderson are riding again, and Dustin joins in by clotheslining Meng out of the ring. Flair sends Funk into Arn, who almost drops him with a DDT, but Terry scurries out of the ring. The three men left in the ring look at one another. Flair and Rhodes nod to one another, as Flair shakes Anderson's hand, before leaving the ring. Tony calls it a huge moment in the history of wrestling, adding that it could be career-defining.

All due respect to Dusty Rhodes, Heenan says that Saturday Night is his show to call. And he thinks he knows the root of the problem: ever since the contract was signed between Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, he has been silenced. Heenan starts to say that Hogan is NOT who you all think he is, that people need to not revere the man as they do. Bobby says that there is a conspiracy going on, that he, as "The Brain" has figured out, and he'll tell us all about it..... and then WCW Main Event goes black for the evening, a few minutes ahead of scheduled time. WCW Hotline

July 1994, Week 3

Press 1 for Bash at the Beach Control Center!

Press 2 for a message from our own Jesse "The Body" Ventura!

Press 3 for contract information about your favorite WCW stars!

Press 4 for WCW Saturday Night preview!

Press 5 for last week's ratings breakdown!

Press 8 for "The Other Guys"

Press 9 for a special gift from WCW Shop!

Option 1: Bash at the Beach Control Center!

No new matches made, but we heard that The Guardian Angel is FURIOUS with the actions of Vader last week, and he's going to have something to say about it on Saturday Night that pertains to the stipulations in their match!

Option 2: From the mouth of "The Body"

Pre-recorded message: "Jesse Ventura here, 'The Body' himself. Let me tell you all somethin', I don't know yet what it is, but somethin' around here stinks, and it seems to revolve around one Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan. As you all may have noticed, neither myself nor Mr. Heenan have been on announcing duty since last month. I showed up to Saturday Night a few weeks ago, and was told that my services weren't needed for the night. I understand Mr. Heenan was given the same treatment. After the way Mr. Heenan was treated on Main Event when he had an announcement to the world, I called him personally and said that if WCW doesn't want to give him a spotlight, then I will! This week on Saturday Night, I'm putting up my own personal savings, and I'm bringing back 'The Body Shop'! My special guest? None other than Bobby Heenan! I'm going to get to the bottom of this, and we're going to tell you all the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!"

Option 3: Contract Information; do we stay or do we go now?

Big Texas tag team Shanghai Pierce and Tex Slazenger were both offered deals to stay on with WCW. Pierce was very nearly released, but a change of heart from management led to him being offered a new deal, and Slazenger is being signed as exclusive talent. Diamond Dallas Page has made a deal that will keep him exclusively on your TV screens; though we're mostly excited because when he's here, so is the Diamond Doll!

As you may have heard Ric Flair say on last week's Saturday Night, "Sensuous" Sherri has been fired as his manager after her actions during his match. We understand that since Flair is no longer protesting her banishment, WCW officials have made it official that due to her actions in the past few weeks, she is to no longer appear at any World Championship Wrestling event. She must have been heartbroken, as she ran off to "The Other Guys"; look for her soon to be competing in some unimportant women's division.

Option 4: WCW Saturday Night preview!

Huge announcements abound on WCW Saturday Night, and all of it revolves around this Sunday's upcoming Bash at the Beach! The Guardian Angel says that he has a stipulation lined up that's going to make Vader sorry for what he did in the ring last week to Mr. T! Also, a special treat, as Jesse "The Body" Ventura has been given a special episode of "The Body Shop" in order to talk to Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, who had a little technical malfunction cut his feed short on Main Event last week. Also, thanks to showing his support to Hulk Hogan last week, Flyin' Brian has found himself in the crosshair of the World Heavyweight champion himself, and in our main event he takes on "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Arn Anderson looks to "enforce" his position as he takes on Bash opponent Terry Funk, Johnny B. Badd teams up with "The Dragon" Ricky Steamboat to take on their enemies the US and TV champions Steve Austin and Lord Steven Regal, and "Mr. Wonderful" looks to get an edge as he takes on the ever unpredictable Cactus Jack! And on top of all that, a phone interview with none other than the man they call Sting! So many huge happenings going on, you need to set the channel on TBS at 6:05 ET!

Saturday Night match lineup:

Non-Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Flyin' Brian

Terry Funk vs. Arn Anderson

Stunning Steve Austin and Lord Steven Regal vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Johnny B. Badd

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff vs. Cactus Jack

Bad Attitude vs. Terry Taylor and Scott Stud

Option 5: Last week's ratings!

Even when down a little, WCW Saturday Night continues to dominate the airwaves, drawing a very solid 6.25 rating on TBS! "That other wrestling show" closed the gap a bit by gaining a 5.88 rating, but the fans have spoken, and more of you know what good wrestling is! The Main Event drew the same as last week, 0.60.

Option 8: What you didn't miss!

A European championship? Sounds like a cheap knock-off of our own prestigious United States title! Two likely-to-be career midcarders fought over it, showing how unimportant even they must think it is, as Crush beat Billy Gunn to become the first champion. He's not even from Europe! In the main event, Bret Hart and Scott Hall beat Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels. Okay, so it was a good match; but if you want a full show worth of good matches instead of just one at the end, the only place to be is on WCW Saturday Night!

Option 9: A special "thank you" from WCW Shop!

This week only, send a postcard with your name and address and receive a limited time offer for 25% off a year subscription to WCW Magazine!

Thanks Gentleman, I'm planning to follow your WCW. It's almost inevitable that we'll have similarities in our shows right now, given the lead-up to Bash at the Beach can really only go so many ways, but after that is over, I'm sure we'll be seeing two very different paths.

Also thanks to Ritchardo and Jaysin for their predictions and comments for the first show; if enough people participate, I'll gladly run a monthly predictions contest. And Ritchardo, I'm glad you like the hotline gimmick; just seems realistic for the time as a way to let my company knowledge out.

Ric Flair gets some momentum going toward WCW Bash At The Beach.

Terry Funk vs. Arn Anderson

The Enforcer with a DQ win against the wild Texan.

Stunning Steve Austin and Lord Steven Regal vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Johnny B. Badd

A close match but the heels pick up the win.

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff vs. Cactus Jack

Bad Attitude vs. Terry Taylor and Scott Stud

Bad Attitude has more of a 'future' than Taylor and Stud.

Stunning Steve Austin and Lord Steven Regal with Sir William vs. Johnny B. Badd and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat

Teams of men who are set to butt heads at Bash at the Beach take one another on to open this week's "go-home" edition of Saturday Night. Austin looks ready to start the match against Steamboat, but instead he plays mind games, tagging in Regal. Regal gladly takes on the veteran, going hold for hold with him for a few minutes before Steamboat turns an irish whip around and blasts Steven with a chop! Ricky tags in Badd, and he's very excited to get his hands on his Lordship! The former boxer comes in swinging, backing Regal into the corner and peppering his midsection with lefts and rights and rights and lefts, the crowd rocking along with each shot. Referee Nick Patrick gets in between them to try and give Regal some separation, he gets it and heads to his corner to tag in Austin. Tony talks about how there is some unfinished business with these two as well, citing last month's Clash, and Badd hasn't forgotten about it as he goes right for the champion. A knee in the gut and vicious clap on the side of Badd's head gives the golden team the advantage, and they immediately start to use it to the hilt. The two maul Badd, using fast tags in and out to keep him down. Steamboat tries to get the crowd into it to bring Johnny back around, and it certainly takes its toll on Badd. But the champs are working well together, likely Austin's tag experience shining through.

Austin thinks Badd is done, and he sets him up for a Stungun. He lifts Badd onto his shoulder, and takes his time walking to the ropes. He jaws a little too much, and Badd comes to and drops him with a DDT! Instead of going for his corner, Austin tries to break up the tag, but Steamboats come in fresh! Regal rushes in to aid his partner, but "The Dragon" blasts both champions with chops to the chest. He dropkicks Regal out of the ring, and Badd is up to blast Austin with a punch right to the jaw, causing him to back up into a quick rollup from Steamboat! Patrick is down and counts the three!

Winners: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Johnny B. Badd

The two celebrate a few moments, and Austin comes back into the ring. He looks shaken after the loss, and he offers his hand to Steamboat. "The Dragon" thinks about it, but his inherent sportsmanship means he is obliged to take Austin's hand in mutual respect! NO! Stunning Steve blasts Steamboat in the face with the United States title again! Badd is back in the ring to stop it from going any further, but Austin escapes, laughing.

We head backstage where Flyin' Brian is in the dressing room, stretching his muscles for his match tonight against Ric Flair. Brian has his new WCW licensed "Hulkamania" t-shirt on, and a knock comes to the door. Hulk Hogan walks in, and Pillman is instantly stoked to be in the same room as him! Hogan asks him how he likes the autographed shirt, and Brian holds it out, showing that he's wearing it; Hulk chuckles and asks Brian why he not only accepted the match against Flair tonight, but why he also made sure it would be non-title. Pillman tells Hulk that he wanted to stand up for his hero - Flair has been saying a lot of things, so Brian wants to give him a taste of what a dose of Hulkamania can do! As for it being non-title, Pillman says that after he takes Flair down a few pegs, he's gonna leave the World title on him so that Hulk can take it tomorrow night at the Bash at the Beach! Hogan responds, saying that he appreciates it, but he says that he's a little disappointed to find out that Brian didn't seem to WANT the title - "If you're in this business, kid, then you need to want to be on top of it" he tells him. Hogan then leaves, letting Brian finish getting ready for the main event.

Bad Attitude vs. Scott Stud and Terry Taylor

Dusty says that he talked to Stud and Taylor backstage, and he says that the two have decided to become a regular team here in WCW. Stud says that their team name is 'The Playboys', because of how much the girls are gonna love the duo. But maybe instead of thinking about names and girls and everything, they should have worried more about their match this week, as the well-oiled machine of Eaton and Keirn isolate Stud and work him down well. Even when he makes the tag to Taylor, Stud is unable to assist his new partner, and the two are able to get Taylor down long enough for Eaton to come off the top and plant him with the Alabama Jam for the win. Mostly a bathroom break match, unfortunately.

"Mean" Gene is out, his first order of business to plug the WCW Hotline at 1-900-909-9900. Remember kids, get your parents' permission before calling. He brings out Terry Funk, who talks about how tonight he's fixin' to take ol' "Double A" to the whippin' block. Funk gets interrupted, however, when "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes comes out! Funk gets ready for a fight, but Dustin says that as much as he would like to knock Funk's old, yellow teeth down his throat, he's just here to talk right now. He says that he wants to add a little bit of spice to the match at Bash at the Beach; he says that since he and Funk were the ones who this all started between, he wants to add a sidebet to the match. Funk scoffs, saying that beating the tar out of Rhodes is all he needs, but Dustin says that he's willing to put a gamble on his partner - if Arn wins tonight, then Funk will have to agree to the sidebet! Terry now says that he's listening, and "The Natural" names his terms. If Dustin can pin Funk's shoulders to the mat for the win, then he will get five minutes in the ring with Colonel Parker! Funk says he ain't no old fool, he needs something the other way too. Dustin says that he's thought about that, and the way he plans to get that to happen if to go the opposite way - if Funk can pin Dustin, then he'll go against his own moral code and join the Stud Stable! The old Funker laughs, saying boy, you got a deal! But not to hold his breath, because there's no way that Arn is winning the match tonight. The two leave separately, with no altercation.

Backstage we go to Gordon Solie, who is standing by with "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Solie first asks about last week when he came to Dustin Rhodes and Arn Anderson's aid. Flair says "Look, Arn Anderson is like my brother. I may not have much love lost for the Rhodes family, but when my brother is getting assaulted from behind by a snake like Terry Funk, I'll help him out, the same as he would do for me." The topic moves to Bash at the Beach, and Flair says that he can't wait to get his hands on the so-called "Immortal" in order to prove that he can be the one who kills Hulkamania once and for all. And part of that will come tonight, when Flair takes on a young Hulkamaniac in Flyin' Brian. Flair says that he's disappointed that Brian would take up with a man like Hogan, because he has all the tools to be someone special in this sport. But if "Slick Ric" has to beat sense into him tonight, then he'll teach him to see reason!

Nick Bockwinkel is standing by, and he says that he has a major announcement to make. In light of the actions of Vader last week, he has decided that his match at Bash at the Beach needs something extra: a special referee! "Mean" Gene is back out, and he's got something that we've all been waiting for: a call-in interview from the Stinger! Gene asks Sting how he's feeling, and he says that he got beaten on pretty good apparently, as doctors aren't even letting him go back home as of yet. But he's hoping it'll be soon that he can be able to get back on the road, so he can try and find out who attacked him two weeks ago! Okerlund asks if he has any idea who did it, and Sting says that while he wouldn't put it past Ric Flair to have taken him out of the equation since he gave the okay to Hulk Hogan, he also doesn't know anything concrete. About that time, Gene says that he's being told there's something we have to go to, he wishes Sting a fast recovery, and they hang up in order to head backstage.

And MY GOD what a scene we find backstage. In the locker room, the monster Vader has demolished The Guardian Angel! Vader is screaming "YOU WANTED AN ADVANTAGE? NOW YOU GOT NOTHIN'!" in mention of Mr. T being the new guest referee for their match. Vader has broken off a piece of a catering table, and he's beating The Angel across the ribs with it! A slew of other wrestlers like DDP, Scott Stud, and Brad Armstrong come into the room in order to try and calm the big man down, but Vader is having none of it. Paul Roma, James Wright, and The Patriot come in as well, and all six of them are finally able to try and get between Vader and his prey. But he attacks all of them too! One after another they each get assaulted, none standing in the way of the vicious attack! Finally Vader throws down his table leg and leaves, stomping on Guardian Angel one last time as he leaves.

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff vs. Cactus Jack

Orndorff is visbly shaken as he makes his way to the ring alone, Roma having been taken out just a few moments ago by Vader. These two have a nice little brawl to kick things off, as tensions have been rising more and more between the two teams over the last few weeks. The fight quickly spills outside, where Cactus is sent into the guardrail. Mr. Wonderful rolls back inside, breaking the count. He fires Jack back into the ring, but takes a leopard-print boot to the head when he tries to come back in. Jack punches Paul into the ropes, and tries to run forward for a clothesline, but veteran Orndorff ducks and Cactus goes careering over the ropes to the floor again! Now in control, Paul starts using his experience edge to keep Cactus grounded. He hooks a chinlock and starts using the ropes for leverage, then moves to an abdominal stretch. The crowd get on Orndorff's nerves, chanting "Paula" at him, and he takes it out on Jack, using the ropes in between punching him in the ribs. It keeps on until Randy Anderson catches him, and Jack rallies back, hip tossing Orndorff over! This time the Tag Team champion hits the running clothesline, sending both men over the top rope! The crowd are into it as Jack and Orndorff roll back into the ring just before getting counted out, and Paul gets a kick to the stomach. He starts to set Cactus up for a piledriver, but Cactus struggles. He pushes Orndorff off into the turnbuckle, and hooks his arms, planting him with a double-arm DDT! Cactus gets the win!

Well we know where Paul Roma was, but where was Kevin Sullivan? We find out pretty immediately, as cameras cut from Cactus Jack's celebration in the ring to the locker room, where Sullivan is found lying under a locker, as the Nasty Boys share a laugh at his expense! Terry Funk vs. Arn Anderson

Two of the most versatile veterans in the sport of pro wrestling, going at it one on one? Wonderful. The only thing this match didn't have going for it, was that the crowd were still catching their breath after Cactus and Orndorff. Funk uses every cheap heel tactic he can, from stalling to closed fists in the corner behind referee Nick Patrick's back, to choking Anderson on the ropes. Arn retaliates by getting dirty in his own right, as he pulls Funk's hair to throw him down and drops a knee squarely on his elbow. Arn slams Funk on the arm, and Dusty notes just how incredibly painful that is. Anderson and Funk end up outside the ring, and out there seems to be Funk's domain; he takes over by slamming Arn's head into the ring apron, and punches him a few times up against the turnbuckle. Terry goes for a clothesline but it gets ducked, and Arn pushes the arm into the post! Funk is in some severe pain, as Anderson slides back into the ring, grabbing the wrist and smashing it against the apron! Funk is crying out in pain, and "Double A" isn't done yet. He lifts Funk to the apron by his hair, and he drops to his back, bringing the arm over the ropes.

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RobertFuller.jpg

About this time, Colonel Parker makes his way out to ringside. Arn and Funk are back into the ring, and Anderson locks in an armbar, digging his knee into Funk's shoulder to try and get the submission. Parker jumps up on the apron, distracting Nick Patrick, just to make sure that doesn't happen. Arn breaks the hold, and yells at the Colonel, telling him to keep out of his business. Arn goes back to Funk, and sends him into the ropes, likely looking to plant him with the spinebuster, but Funk hangs on instead. Anderson charges forward, and Funk blasts him in the stomach with a branding iron that Parker passed him! Funk tries to go for the pin, but the bell sounds - Nick Patrick saw it and disqualifies Funk!

Winner: Arn Anderson (by DQ)

Non-Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Flyin' Brian

Tony says that Flair looks very focused, obviously Flair feels he has a lot to prove, after his shocking loss last week. Also since Brian has thrown his support to Hulk Hogan, Flair may feel like he can send a message to the Hulkster. Brian, on the other hand, is looking to show both Flair and Hogan something. He wants to show Hogan what his support can do for a person, and he's trying to show Flair that he's all wrong about Hogan. The two start the bout with a lockup, which Flair uses his weight to win by backing Pillman into the corner. He gives him a clean break, to the surprise of most. Another lockup, but this time it's won by Pillman, who uses his quickness to turn Flair around to a wristlock. Flair makes his way to the ropes, causing a break. A third lockup, and this time there is no clean break from Flair, as he delivers a sharp knife-edged chop to Brian's chest! Flair whips Brian across the ring, but Brian jumps up onto the second rope, spinning around in mid-air to hit a crossbody that gets a two-count on a stunned "Nature Boy"! Flair's not playing around now, as he kicks Pillman in the knee when he comes in for another lockup, and Flair snapmares him to the mat to hook in a chinlock. Brian tries to fight out, but Flair pulls the hair to bring him back down. Ric and Brian struggle around like this for a bit, the crowd getting behind Brian as he hits a back suplex to get out, and when Flair rolls to his feet, Pillman has already run the ropes and catches him with a flying clothesline! Flair's up again, and Pillman scores with a dropkick! Flair rolls out of the ring to try and bring the action back to his speed, drawing boos from the crowd.

Flair re-enters the ring, and we try some more wrestling. It isn't long, however, until Brian is using his superior quickness yet again to keep Flair off balance and get the crowd into it! Hiptosses and dropkicks keep Flair guessing which way Brian is coming from, as he definitely lives up to his 'Flyin' moniker tonight. Dusty says that one mistake could turn the tide, and he couldn't be more right. Eventually Flair's mind games of rolling out of the ring pay off, as Brian tries to dive over the top to get him, and Flair sidesteps, forcing Pillman to crash and burn on the arena floor with a loud *thud*! Flair immediately strikes, lifting Brian's leg and smashing his knee down to the very lightly padded floor of the Selland Arena! Pillman is in pain now, and he gets rolled into the ring - it is now time to go to school.

Flair demolishes Pillman's knee, smashing it into the mat, jerking the outstretched leg, dropping elbows and knees onto it, and pulling him to the ropes in order to bring all of his weight down across the knee. A rolling kneedrop to the chin follows, and Flair grabs the ankle again. After pulling on the leg again a few times to hyperextend the knee, he spins around and locks in the figure four! All the punishment that's been done, Brian holds on as long as he can, but he's forced to submit.

Winner: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair

The bell sounds, but Flair isn't done. He sits up and starts yelling at Brian, still keeping the figure four locked in! Brian is screaming, pounding on the mat, and Flair keeps yelling to him "Where's your Hulkamania now? You're on the wrong side, Brian! You're on the wrong side!" The bell sounds again, as they try to trigger Flair to release, but he still doesn't. Tony screams how much more of this could possibly end the poor kid's career, and finally Nick Bockwinkel comes out. He has a microphone, and he tells Flair that he MUST release the hold now! Flair shakes his head no, until Nick threatens to give the title to Hulk Hogan and keep Flair away from it for six months! That finally breaks Flair, who relinquishes the legs and allows the trainer to come check on Pillman, who is heard saying that it feels broken. Tony throws us to one last commercial break to allow Brian to exit the ring, before Jesse Ventura joins us for The Body Shop.

Jesse "The Body" Ventura is in the ring when we come back from break, and he welcomes everyone to the return of The Body Shop! He makes sure to note that he's had lawyers looking over his contract, and while they can do what they will and keep him off of WCW Saturday Night or Main Event, but it is ironclad in writing that he WILL be calling Bash at the Beach! With that out of the way, he introduces his guest, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan! Heenan comes out and Ventura says that on The Body Shop, he asks all the hard-hitting questions; so right off the bat, what is this conspiracy that Heenan has uncovered? Bobby says that it took him a week or two to figure it out, but as "The Brain" he got it. Bobby tells of how he always thought he and Hulk Hogan were friends, maybe not close friends, but friends the way that two old war buddies can share a drink after the battles are all over. Ventura adds that he agrees with that, feeling as though he was the same with Hogan. Bobby says that when Hogan came to WCW, at first he thought it would be a good thing, they could have one another's backs. But a little over a month later, and Hogan hasn't spoke to him, hasn't returned his calls, he just sits around back there in his private dressing room with all of his buddies. Heenan says that he feels for a guy like Flyin' Brian, who's been taken in by the hype. He says that Hogan is a user, he used Heenan to find him all these guys to steamroll in the 80s, and he'll use anyone in WCW too! We can't let him get the World Heavyweight championship! The fans are booing loudly, not believing any of this, as Heenan nods his head, saying it's true! The jeers turn to cheers though, when "American Made" hits and the man himself comes out to speak his piece!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan.jpg

The Hulkster says that he doesn't know what Heenan's problem is, except for maybe some sour grapes left from when he kept foiling all of Bobby's plans in the 80s. He says that anyone who gets behind him as a Hulkamaniac, like Flyin' Brian, does it of their own accord, not because Hogan is going to use them. He says maybe Heenan is just jealous that he can't get in on it! Hogan says maybe what Heenan needs is another beating, like what he used to give him back then! Ventura tries to get in the middle of them, but Hulk tells him to back off too, he might still be a big dude but the Hulkster don't hit guys who shouldn't defend themselves. Bobby gets in Hogan's face then, saying that he knows exactly what the Hulkster is all about, and so does Jesse, and that's why they haven't been allowed to come out here and talk about it on commentary, why Dusty Rhodes has been there instead of either of them. Hogan grabs Heenan by his shirt and starts looking ready to punch him, but a chopblock takes him down!

It's Flair! The WCW World Heavyweight champion has come out of nowhere and attacked the challenger! Flair starts kicking at the legs and knees of Hogan, as security rushes out to try and stop this! Tony says that Flair must have hidden under the ring while everyone was paying attention to Brian being removed from the ring. Heenan gets a chair and slides it to Ric, and he brings it down repeatedly onto Hogan's knees! We fade to black as Dusty screams at how it must have been a setup the whole time from Flair and Heenan!

WCW World Heavyweight Championship

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan

It's difficult to go against the grain in this matchup since it is Hogan's debut match here in WCW. I have to go with Hogan.

WCW United States Heavyweight Championship

"Stunning" Steve Austin vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat

This is an interesting feud. I say the heel takes the first match.

WCW World Television Championship

Lord Steven Regal with Sir William vs. Johnny B. Badd

I have always seen more of a future with Regal than with JBB.

WCW World Tag Team Championships

Cactus Jack & Kevin Sullivan with Dave Sullivan vs. Pretty Wonderful

In real life, Pretty Wonderful takes the belts here. Will this one mimmick real life? Time will tell.

The Guardian Angel wins by DQ when Vader cold-cocks Mr. T

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes vs. Terry Funk & Bunkhouse Buck with Col. Robert Parker and Meng

If Dustin pins Funk, he gets Parker for five minutes on Saturday Night!

If Funk pins Rhodes, Dustin must join the Stud Stable!

But they get out of the stipulation by having Arn make the pin.

Special Bonus Match!

Stars 'n Stripes vs. Harlem Heat

A close match but Bagwell and The Patriot walk away with the victory.

Really like this. Wow my mind racing with idea that your about to recreate the 4 Horsemen the way your setting this up. Keep pushing Vader this is the monster I remember when he first debuted in WCW.

Thanks for the comment, I love hearing where people think I'm headed with things, so that I know if I'm being too predictable or not :p And oh yeah, expect Vader to be at the head of things for quite awhile, I am a HUGE Vader fan.

I am not sure how I have missed this but it has been great thus far!

Thanks! I always like a good "face has to go against his morals" story too. Will it happen? I guess we'll wait and see, won't we? hehehe.

And again, thank you to Raven and NWAvsWWF for predictions. I think after this month I'll start running a small prediction contest. The first month of a diary like this I always find to be somewhat predictable; it's once I get into my own groove that things will REALLY start to shake up!

Bash at the Beach itself should be up within the next few days, just wanted to take a few minutes to talk to some people who've commented and let everyone know what's happening. I currently only have three or four matches to write yet, and then it'll be ready to format and go!

He says that maybe he'll start by having Dustin wash his cars, or maybe cut the plantation grass. WCW World Tag Team championships

Cactus Jack & Kevin Sullivan with Dave Sullivan vs. Pretty Wonderful

Roma and Sullivan start the match, and they lock up with Roma getting the advantage. He trips Kevin and tries to drop an elbow, but Sullivan rolls out of the way. Another lockup, and Sullivan twists into a headlock. Roma tries to push him off into the ropes, but Kevin hangs on, Jesse noting "as small as he is, Sullivan is like a pitbull, he won't let up". Sullivan turns it into a hammerlock, before tripping Roma from behind. A shade of the old Varsity Club, I guess? Kevin then hooks in another headlock. Roma works his way back to his feet and this time he pulls Sullivan back into his own corner, forcing a rope break. Referee Brady Boone keeps an eye on Orndorff, making sure he doesn't get in any cheap shots. Roma backs away a few paces, but leans in with a knee to the stomach, and he punches Sullivan. The tag is made, and Orndorff comes in to deliver a few shots while Kevin is still in the corner. Roma comes back in and fires Kevin into the ropes, hitting a clothesline on the rebound. Roma now hooks in an armbar, and if this match is sounding kinda dull, hey, look at the rating after the writeup and I'm just being honest. Evad and Jack start cheering Kevin on, and he gets up and pushes Roma into the neutral corner by his face. Sullivan grabs Roma by the nose, and pulls him out of the corner by it, causing Orndorff to have a fit on the apron, and Kevin uses his free hand to smash Roma in the face! Paul goes down holding his face, complaining of the treatment to his "pretty" features, and an armbar later and Kevin drags Roma to his corner to tag in Cactus. The crowd come alive some now, and Kevin opens up Roma's midsection for Jack to kick it. Cactus being in brings in more brawling than before, as he shoves Roma into the corner and starts wailing on him with forearm shots to the bridge of the nose. Orndorff continues yelling at Brady Boone for all the punishment to the face, and Cactus really plays on it by - the horror! - messing up Roma's hair!

Now it's on! Roma comes around and starts leveling Cactus with rights and lefts, sending him into the ropes and hitting a back elbow when he comes back. He drops an elbow on Jack, and tries to go for a quick pin, which gets a two. He stays on him, mounting over Jack and driving rights into his forehead. When Boone taps him, he lets off and grabs Jack by the hair, screaming at him "HOW DO YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF?!" Roma gets up and stomps on Cactus again, before making the tag to Orndorff. Orndorff comes in, twirling in an arm wringer. He brings his elbow down onto the back of Jack's elbow, and he knees him in the stomach before kicking Cactus in the face. Orndorff goes for a pin, and again only a two. Paul hooks in the chinlock for a minute, and then drags Jack to the Pretty Wonderful corner again. Tony and Jesse talk about how it doesn't seem like Orndorff has bothered to be in the ring long in this one. Roma comes back in, jumping to the second rope to bring an axe handle smash down onto Jack's shoulder. Roma comes after Cactus, but it appears that Jack isn't taking any of this crap, and he socks Roma, sends him into the corner, and comes in with a running clothesline that he turns into a bulldog! Orndorff comes in, and Sullivan comes in as well. Kevin tackles Orndorff, as Jack plants Roma with a double arm DDT and covers him for the surprising win!

As Pretty Wonderful appear to argue in the ring, Cactus and Kevin get their belts and get out of the ring. They're heading backstage, when the soothing jam of "Mr. Bang-Bang" gives way to "We're the Nasty Boys"! The Nastys come out but they stop at the top of the entrance. They have a microphone, and Sags says now that those pretty-boy punks are out of the way, let's get to the business at hand: the Nasty Boys are coming for the Tag Team championships, and they want it on record right now. Cactus responds, getting a microphone of his own from somewhere, and says that he's heard on the WCW Hotline about how next month, it's the first-ever Clash of the Champions on pay-per-view, and they better make the match for then because after the way the Nastys have been attacking his friend Kevin and "little buddy" Evad, the things he wants to do to the Nasty Boys won't be able to be shown on cable! The Nasty Boys nod and smile, and leave with no incident as Paul Roma is left to leave the ring alone.

Terry Funk & Buckhouse Buck with Colonel Robert Parker & Meng vs. "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes & "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson

"Double A" starts out here, immediately decking Buck with that somewhat famous Anderson left hand! It's immediately a Southern-style brawl, as Buck comes back with an eye rake and punch of his own. The two scuffle, Arn tripping Buck to his back and driving punches down onto his temples. Dustin cheers on from the outside, getting the crowd fired up more. Anderson and Buck lock up, and they get into an overhead test of strength. Buck looks like he might win it, but Arn pulls his suspenders to get the leverage! Buck rolls out of the ring and starts complaining to Parker, as Arn tags out to Dustin. Buck re-enters the ring and locks up with his new opponent, planting his feet and pushing Dustin back into the turnbuckle. He shoots a punch into Rhodes's midsection, before referee Randy Anderson breaks it up. Buck pulls Rhodes to the ropes and fires him off, but telegraphs his back body drop and takes a kick to the face and clothesline for his troubles! Dustin tries for a quick pin, but Buck kicks out. Jesse says how Buck is definitely not faring well so far, as Dustin gets down and rubs Buck's face into the mat like its a cheese grater! Dustin hooks on a seated camel clutch, and he yells at Terry Funk on the apron. Funk, agitated, starts to get into the ring, causing Randy Anderson to go stop him. This gives Dustin time to pull Buck back toward he and Arn's corner, and the two of them start stomping on Buck's back! The crowd eats it up!

Arn switches places with Dustin, and locks in the seated camel clutch again as Parker is having a conniption on the outside. Arn picks Bunkhouse up and pushes him into the corner, and kicks him in the ribs a few times. Buck is down in the corner, and Arn starts pushing his knee into Buck's face, as the camera crew get a little too close and spit flies onto the lens as Buck struggles to escape. Randy Anderson reaches a four count, and Arn releases him. As Randy gives Arn a talking to, Buck sees his chance and starts crawling on his hands and knees toward his corner, but Arn cuts him off with a knee to the back. Arn tries a pin, and he gets a two. Tony says that he's impressed, as it seems Arn has been really teaching Dustin about the psychology of tag team matches, as they've done a great job since the start of this match at keeping the veteran Funk out of it. Ventura notes that of anyone he knows of in WCW aside from maybe Bobby Eaton, there's nobody better at tag team wrestling than "The Enforcer". Rhodes is in again, and he puts some knees into Buck's back again. Dustin whips Buck into the turnbuckle and comes in hot, rocking him with a clothesline! Dustin picks Buck up again and fires him to the other neutral corner, following him in again and perhaps looking to try and finish things up quickly, this time he comes into a cowboy boot to the face! Rhodes drops, as Jesse laughs at how the youth of Dustin just lost out to the veteran wiles of Bunkhouse Buck! Buck is now able to go make the tag, and Terry Funk enters the ring for the first time tonight.

He immediately goes after Dustin, fishhooking his face in a chinlock and during a headlock he punches him in the face. Funk gets down and starts choking his younger foe, taking it to a four count before letting up, then choking him again for another four. Funk shoves Rhodes over the middle rope and starts choking him there too, letting up at four. As Randy Anderson yells at him to not do any more choking, Parker takes the initiative to slap Dustin across the face! Arn tries to yell at the referee for not paying attention, as Parker cleans the - as he calls it - "stench of Rhodes" off of his hand. Funk pulls Dustin up and shoots him into the ropes, smashing an elbow into his jaw on the rebound. He tries a pin, but only a two count. Terry pushes "The Natural" into the corner and starts wailing away on him with right hands. When he gets pulled away and given a warning from Randy Anderson this time, Bunkhouse Buck comes up and starts choking Dustin with his tag rope! Arn tries to come around the apron to help, but Randy catches him and starts telling him to go back to the corner, leaving Dustin to not only keep getting choked but now he's getting punched in the ribs as well! The Stud Stable trade off illegally now, Parker saying into the camera "What, they switched? Of course they made a tag!" and laughing, as Tony calls him a hypocrit for his previous tantrum when Anderson and Rhodes did so earlier.

Buck lays the boots into Dustin now, hooking him in a rear chinlock. Randy Anderson starts checking him, making sure it's not a choke. He lifts Dustin's arm, and it drops. Parker seems content to think that he's done, and his arm drops again. Arn starts rallying the crowd, and they get behind Dustin as the arm raises a third time... and it stays up! Buck tries to keep the pressure on, but Dustin gets back to his feet, and he rushes for the turnbuckle, smashing Buck into it. Buck staggers out of the corner, and Dustin catches him with a running bulldog! Terry Funk comes in, and he comes right into a bionic elbow! Bunk takes one as well when he gets to his feet, and Arn comes in to usher Funk back out of the ring. Dustin sees this and drags Buck over, and as soon as Funk gets on the apron, he gives both men a double noggin knocker, and grabs both of their arms and forces a tag, making Funk the legal man! Jesse screams unfairness, but Tony says that the plan is brilliant - he made the deal but it was stipulated that he MUST pin Terry Funk! Dustin and Funk are now the legal men, and he fires Terry into the ropes. As Funk hits the ropes, "The Enforcer" hits him in the back with a knee! The crowd cheer loudly even at the somewhat heelish tactic, because it's a good old school Anderson move. As Terry comes forward in pain, Dustin grabs him and drops him with a DDT! Tony says he has to have learned that from Arn! Dustin makes the cover, and gets a three count!

Dustin is ecstatic, as the Colonel is mortified! He can't believe that Dustin actually pinned Funk! Parker tries to run away, but Arn gets in the way and grabs him by his lapels, firing him into the ring to a waiting Rhodes! The crowd are getting excited, as Parker starts looking side to side to see who's got his back. Meng is being held back by Anderson and a wrench that he found who knows where, and both Funk and Buck are still laid out - there's no one to turn to! Parker loses all of his gusto, and he drops to his knees, begging off from getting his just desserts! Dustin goes over and asks for a microphone, and he says that he's going to do Parker one better - he has six days to prepare himself, because on Saturday Night, he faces off with The Natural, one on one!

Backstage with Mean Gene again, and this time he's alongside the trio of The Guardian Angel, Mr. T, and the challenger for the World title, Hulk Hogan! Gene starts off with Hogan, asking him how pumped up he is for the match tonight. Hogan starts off with his usual "WELL YA KNOW SOMETHIN' MEAN GENE!" before getting into a very Hogan-y rant, talking about how the TRUE 'maniacs all know that there's no way Ric Flair is leaving Bash at the Beach with the World title tonight. All the TRUE 'maniacs know that there's nothing Flair can have up his sleeve that can compare to the power held by all the 'maniacs being behind him. And Vader is gonna find that out as well, and with that Gene turns to the Guardian Angel, who says that he's ready to end this thing with Vader; he says that he doesn't care how dangerous Vader has been, he's ready to beat him into submission! Gene starts to ask about the ribs, but Mr. T interrupts, saying it don't matter foo', the Angel is ready to do anything. Gene questions how Mr. T is planning to call this match, and he says it'll be right down the middle. Hogan takes back the mic, and he says that these two guys have learned the new FOURTH Hulkamaniac commandment; of course there's the training, and the prayers, and the vitamins. But now, you gotta learn, keep your friends close, brothers. And what's the Nature Boy gonna do, when all the 'maniacs, all the largest arms in the world, run wild on youuuuuuuu?!

Stars 'n Stripes vs. Harlem Heat

Yep, this match sure......happened. Stevie Ray and The Patriot have a weak brawl to start, Stevie pushing his smaller opponent around and Patriot fighting back as best he can. Jesse says about how these two are the "heavy hitters" of their respective teams. Stevie keeps trash-talking Patriot the whole time as he pounds away on him with forearms and kicks. Booker T reaches in with a rapid punch to the kidneys while Patriot is in the corner, causing Patriot to turn and blast him with a punch, sending him off the apron! Patriot knocks Stevie back and rocks him against the ropes, and fires Ray off. He nails a jumping clothesline that staggers the big guy, and then comes and hits another. While Stevie Ray is stumbling, woozy, Patriot tags in Bagwell, who comes off the top rope with a clothesline that takes the big man down! Bagwell goes for a pin, but Stevie powers out. Bagwell doesn't stand and fight as his partner did, instead wisely choosing to stick and move. He tries to send Stevie into the ropes, but a blind tag occurs and when Bagwell hits the back elbow he was looking for, he gets his head taken off by a leaping sidekick from Booker! Booker T takes over, using his much longer reach to keep Marcus guessing where his next blow is coming from. Marcus starts to mount a comeback after a few minutes of being held at bay, hitting a swinging neckbreaker when Booker tries for a backdrop. Bagwell makes the tag, and the two send Stevie Ray crashing out of the ring. They set Booker up for their suplex/crossbody combination finisher, but the crossbody doesn't work out as Stevie trips Bagwell up. The suplex that Booker takes therefore doesn't do as much damage as they intend, and he breakdances back to his feet. Stevie has rushed Patriot and has him lifted up, and Booker T levels him with a huge sidekick! The Big Apple Blast has Patriot down and out, and a cover later and the Heat have taken this one.

Hulk Hogan is backstage in his dressing room watching the show on a monitor and taping up his wrists, when a knock comes to the door. In walks Flyin' Brian, his shorts revealing a large cast on his knee after Saturday Night and the extended time that he was in the figure four leglock courtesy of Ric Flair. He goes up to Hogan and says that he came here tonight as a fan, just wanting to watch the main event and be taken back to the old days, when he used to watch Hulk Hogan put down any challenger that came his way. He just wanted to stop in and personally wish him the best of luck, not that he should need it. Hogan tells him that he appreciates it, but also that Brian shouldn't be up on that knee yet. Brian says he should be cleared again for this Saturday Night, and says he's gonna hope to be invited to the big celebration when the Hulkster wins the WCW World championship! Hogan laughs, and says he'll see about that. Brian is excited, and he leaves so that Hogan can watch the rest of the show.

Tony sends it back to Gordon Solie, who is standing by with none other than "The Nature Boy" himself, WCW World Heavyweight champion Ric Flair. Solie says that they've heard from challenger Hulk Hogan tonight, now it's time for Flair's thoughts. Flair says simply that his thoughts are just like Bobby Heenan said on Saturday Night - that WCW cannot let Hulk Hogan win their highest prize. He says that luckily, he's the man standing in Hogan's way. Flair says he knows, deep down, that he can defeat Hulk Hogan. There is no doubt in his mind. Solie brings up the attack from Saturday, and Flair tells him it could, and possibly should, have been much worse. He says that he did that to send a message: that Flair can take Hogan down any time, any place. Gordon says that fact remains to be seen, and we cut away to our next part of the show.

The Guardian Angel vs. Big Van Vader

Special Guest Referee: Mr. T

Two big bulls, the heaviest hitters on the roster, who have despised one another's existence since the first time they came upon one another: that can only start one way, right? Both of them rush one another, and they jockey around for position like two sumo wrestlers, or Godzilla monsters. Mr. T tries to tell them to break it up when they get too near the ropes, and they separate for about ten seconds until going at one another again. Angel gets sent off into the ropes, and on the return Vader surprisingly catches him with a spinkick?! That came out of nowhere. Vader lays over his foe and tries for a pin, but Angel gets his shoulder up. Vader pulls the Angel up and tries to whip him again, but its reversed, and the Angel catches Vader in a huge body slam! The ring shakes with the impact! The Angel gets fired up, and he pulls Vader to his feet. He shoves him into the corner and starts hitting him with rights and lefts, but Vader is still pretty cognitive, and he finds an opening to pop a quick uppercut into the Angel's jaw to stun him and reverses him into the corner. Vader then begins smacking him around, lefts and rights being placed with precision and power into the ears, temple, and ribs of the Guardian Angel! Mr. T gets in now and peels Vader away, forcing separation to give the Angel a chance to get out of the corner. Vader yells at him and puts a finger in T's face, telling him to stay out of his way. Mr. T retorts by pointing to his shirt, saying that Vader can't threaten him or else he'll be disqualified!

The Angel comes out of the corner hot, and he tackles Vader to the ground! He brings some punches down on him, until Mr. T tells him to lay off as well. The Angel tries for a pin, but only a two count, as Tony seems impressed with Mr. T's reffing thus far. Angel stomps Vader, before putting him over the middle rope. He runs to the other side and comes back, crashing his weight down onto Vader's back. He sets him up again, running back and forth but this time sliding out under the bottom rope and punching Vader across the nose! He gets back in, and gains another two count off a pinfall. Vader rolls to his knees to get up, and Angel mistakingly leaves his ribs open for a second too long and takes a headbutt to them. Vader gets to his feet and the two men lock up, forcing one another around like bulls with their horns stuck together. The Angel breaks and forearms Vader, and backs up a few paces to get a running start. He comes in looking for a clothesline, but instead Vader smacks him down with a body block! The Angel is on the mat hard, and Vader yells out "Who's the man?!" in confidence. Instead of trying for a pin, he drags Angel to the corner. He goes up to the middle rope and starts bouncing, coming off and landing the pump splash! Vader gets to his feet and is looking on top of things now. The Guardian Angel lays in a broken heap on the mat, and Mr. T starts yelling at Vader. Mr. T pushes the big man, and Vader gets in his face. Vader steps down from the official, as Mr. T kneels down to check on the Angel, and doesn't see as Vader goes up to the top rope. Vader has his back to the ring, and he takes flight, hitting a monstrous Vadersault! But inadvertently he also took out Mr. T!

Vader doesn't seem all that bothered, as he checks on T for just a moment before kicking him out of the ring. Vader decides that since there's no referee left, he walks around the ring, posing some more. He comes back to his downed opponent and goes up to the turnbuckles again, looking for another splash. Vader bounces on the ropes a few times, and stops when he gets hit with a low blow! The Angel is back up, and he's enraged! Vader drops back to the mat, and The Guardian Angel starts peppering him with punches. After a big avalanche in the corner, he goes out and checks on Mr. T, who is seemingly unconscious. The Angel then goes under the ring, and he finds a set of handcuffs! He comes back in as paramedics start coming down to wake up Mr. T and get him taken to the back. Randy Anderson comes running out just as The Guardian Angel looks ready to handcuff Vader.

The Angel doesn't get a chance to do any of it though, as when he gets over to Vader, Angel ends up taking a knee to the stomach. Vader sets him up, and drops him with a powerbomb! He rolls forward and makes the cover, getting a three count!

Winner: Big Van Vader

Back to the dressing room, and we again see Ric Flair. He's jumping around, getting himself loosened up for the huge main event match to come. Flair looks all business, and along walks Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Heenan says that he loved getting to work with Flair again this past Saturday, and if he wants, Bobby will gladly come out to be in his corner for the match against Hogan. Flair thanks him for the gesture, but says that he knows Hogan probably already wants to take out what happened last night on him, so Ric won't put Bobby in jeopardy like that. Heenan says alright, but offers some advice - be wary of the "Hulk Up". Bobby tells him that if Hulk gets a chance to get the adrenaline going, Ric should do whatever he can to stop it. Flair says he's been trying to think of something to do there, and that if it happens, Bobby can see what his plan is. The two shake hands, and Flair goes back to his preparations.

Stunning Steve Austin vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat

Again, not wanting this to be habitual, because even I'm feeling kinda lazy about doing this. But for a B- rated match, which is pretty much what this would end up as realistically, in the most realistic way that I can post it. So, here you go. Know what the funny part is? I booked this show like a week ago, without remembering how this one went in real life, and still booked it the same way, and it's the same with the TV title match up there. Funny, huh?

WCW World Heavyweight championship

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan

"This is it, the biggest match in the history of our great sport," remarks Tony Schiavone as the bell sounds. A lot of things have changed over the course of this match getting set up, Sensuous Sherri is no longer a factor as she is banned from the company; Jimmy Hart is not out here. It's one-on-one, two faces of the industry, Hulk Hogan against Ric Flair. They're in the center ring, and they're talking to one another. Flair offers his hand in sportsmanship, but pulls it back and flicks his hair, just to get under the Hulkster's skin. They circle around the ring, before locking up. They jockey around for position, and Hogan shoves Flair off, before flexing in order to get under Flair's skin! The mind games have begun, as they lock up again. This time Flair turns into a headlock. Hogan shoves him off into the ropes and hits a shoulderblock on the rebound, and runs the ropes himself. Flair ducks under, and when Hogan comes back he halts before the back body drop attempt, and as he looks up, Hogan poses right in his face! Flair is beside himself, and the crowd eat it up! Another lockup now, and this time Flair isn't fooling around - he shoves Hogan off and delivers a sharp chop to the barrel chest of Hulk, and a few more that knock Hogan back to the ropes. Flair punches him in the midsection a few times, then sends the Hulkster into the other ropes. Flair takes Hogan down with an elbow smash, and Ventura notes that of the two, Flair is now the first to really gain ground in the match. Flair stomps Hogan once, then hooks on a reverse chinlock. Hogan fights up easily, being so early in the match, as Jesse keys Tony and the audience in on the psychology, that the move will help to drain Hogan's strength as he fights out and it gives Flair time to think of where to go next. Apparently Flair gets his idea, because when Hogan tries to send Flair to the ropes, he hangs on to Hulk's arm, and he comes immediately back with a kick to the knee!

The champion almost can be seen smiling as he holds Hogan's leg out and drives his own knee down into the challenger's. The same leg that Flair worked over with a chair on Saturday is getting punished now, as Flair clamps on a leglock. He stretches Hulk's knee for a few minutes, gaining a few pinfall attempts, before getting up and kicking the back of his leg a few times. Flair tries going for a VERY early figure four, but Hogan rolls him into a small package! He gets a two count, and again, Jesse says that Flair is doing a lot of moves that aren't requiring him to expend much energy while Hogan is having to fight out from underneath and wear himself down. Flair wisely keeps on the knee, dragging Hogan around by it. He looks to hook in another leglock, but Hogan kicks him away this time and gets to his feet. He rocks Flair with punches, and when Flair turns to try and leave the ring, Hogan rakes his back repeatedly, chasing him around the ring! Flair turns around and hits a chop, but Hogan rakes his eyes! He sends Flair into the turnbuckles on the other side of the ring so hard that Flair flips over the top rope! Flair drops to the floor, and Hogan poses as Flair composes himself on the floor.

The champion re-enters the ring at Nick Patrick's count of 8, as Ventura says that while Flair does have the "champion's advantage", he also knows that Flair's pride will not allow him to simply keep the title when against Hulk Hogan. Hogan comes in for a lockup, but Flair ducks behind his back and takes him down with an amateur-style double leg trip. Flair cinches in another headlock. Hogan gets to his feet, but this time he lifts Flair up and brings him down with a high back drop! It's now Hogan's turn to be in control, and he pulls Flair to his feet to send him back down with a big running clothesline. The Hulkster brings him back up and hooks up a vertical suplex, dropping Flair down to the mat. Flair screams, sitting up, and Hogan locks in a rear chinlock, pressing his knee into Flair's back. Flair works his way out of it, as now Tony says that Hogan appears to be using Flair's strategy from earlier; Jesse says he can try to use it, but he's no master at it. Hogan shoulderblocks Flair down again, and gets up on the second rope, jumping off with an axe handle smash. Flair is dazed as "The Immortal One" is on fire! He hits Flair a few times to keep him staggered, them sends him into the ropes. Flair grabs the ropes and avoids the attempt at a big boot, pulling himself out of the ring and shaking his head, saying "No, no, no, jack!" This time, instead of Flair getting a break, Hogan comes out after him! Hogan rakes Flair's back a few times, and Flair goes down near the steps up to the ring. Hogan comes in for the attack, but Flair was playing possum, as he grabs Hogan by the yellow trunks and pulls him knees-first into the steps!

"Brilliant!" exclaims Jesse Ventura, as Flair sends Hogan back into the ring. He keeps a hold on Hogan's leg and pulls it out of the ring, slamming it down on the ring apron. Flair re-enters the ring now, and his confidence has very clearly returned to full capacity. Flair starts working over the leg even more viciously now. Hogan comes back repeatedly however, keeping up hope in all the Hulkamaniacs, but the leg is visibly damaged. At one juncture, Flair is backed up and he comes forward for a pinpointed kneedrop right to the forehead. He goes for a cover, but Hogan powers out and gets to his knees! He starts Hulking Up! Flair looks from side to side, and he punches Hogan to no effect! Flair sees what's happening, and he mutters "son of a!" before turning and walking out of the ring! Schiavone calls him a coward, as Hogan looks on in confusion. Nobody's ever done that before! Flair goes over to the timekeeper's table and sits down at a chair. The crowd boo loudly, and Jesse Ventura howls with laughter. He says that "Flair is gonna just sit out there and rest, and wait for Hulk's adrenaline rush to wear off! Welcome to WCW, Hulkster, where we don't fall for your act!"

Flair waits out the 9 count before rolling back into the ring, and he points to his head as Hogan is again breathing heavy; his adrenaline surge wore him out even further, and Flair senses it like a shark with blood in the water. He zeroes in on the knee again, hitting a kneebreaker across his own leg. He twists Hogan's ankle, and the crowd are just completely deflated now. Flair has successfully taken the Hulkamaniacs out of the match, and he Whoooo's just to rile them up. The champion hits knees to the back of Hogan's, and he swiftly spins around and locks it in - the figure four leglock is applied by the master! The Hulkster writhes in pain as Flair bounces up and down on the mat to increase the pressure! Hulk tries to reach for the ropes, but they're too far. The crowd start cheering loudly, more and more as Hulk raises his shoulders after a two count. Hogan refuses to submit, even as Flair keeps screaming at him to just give it up! He screams that he'll break his leg if he doesn't do it, but Hogan won't! The crowd are getting behind him more and more, and he falls to the mat. Nick Patrick checks him, and counts one, two, AND HOGAN SITS STRAIGHT UP! His eyes are bugging out of his head! Flair can't believe it! And this time, he can't leave without giving up his figure four! Hogan grabs Flair's foot, and he starts pulling and pulling on it, and he starts to break the figure four! "The Immortal" ends up turning the hold over, and he forces Flair to have to release the hold! Flair comes after Hogan, and Hulk punches him once, twice, three times back into the ropes. He fires Flair off, but he holds the ropes instead of coming back for the big boot. Hogan charges in, and in Flair's haste to avoid the clothesline, he inadvertantly puts Nick Patrick in the way - Patrick gets demolished between the two titans!

Flair runs up the ropes, but he gets caught - Hogan sends him off the top to the mat. The Hulkster goes on the attack, this time hitting Flair with the big boot and dropping the leg! He goes for the cover, but there's no one to count! The crowd count to five until Hogan gets up and goes to look for Nick Patrick, who was hit so hard he had fallen out of the ring. Hogan is standing over the ropes yelling to him, trying to wake him, when a chopblock takes him down! Flair pulls Hogan to the center of the ring and hooks in the figure four again, and this time Hogan can be heard screaming his submission! Flair keeps the hold locked, knowing Patrick will wake up and hear the cries.

Out from the back comes Jimmy Hart and Mr. T, and Jimmy starts pounding on the mat. Hogan is still screaming, and Jimmy sees Nick Patrick starting to come to. He looks at Patrick, then into the ring where Flair is still punishing Hogan. And he smashes his megaphone into the back of Patrick's head? Even Schiavone says that's a strange move for Hart to make, as Ventura says that by hook or by crook, he probably just kept this match alive for Hogan. Mr. T slides into the ring, and Tony says that officially, Mr. T IS a referee for the night. Ventura says that if that's so, why isn't he calling for the bell, because Hogan has clearly submitted. Jimmy rolls his megaphone into the ring, and it gets picked up....

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RoddyPiper.jpg

By Roddy Piper?!? Piper grabs it, and he looks at Mr. T, telling him to stand back. Everyone is confused, except for Hogan as he's still fighting to keep from passing out to the figure four. Piper stands there for a moment, and he looks at the megaphone in his hands. And he smashes it to pieces - over the head of Ric Flair! Jesse screams "NO!" as Flair crumples in a heap, the pressure now off of Hogan's leg. Piper slides out of the ring and stands in the aisleway, as Hogan pulls himself over to Flair. Mr. T gets down - like Tony said, he's an official! He makes the one, two, three!

Hulk Hogan uses the ropes and Jimmy Hart in order to get to his feet. Shock fills the crowd as Mr. T presents Hulk Hogan with the WCW World Heavyweight championship. Tony tries to say that maybe Hogan didn't know what happened, being in the figure four and all, and Jesse is silent. He tries to say something, but it doesn't come out in his outrage at what just transpired. But Jesse screams "What the hell!" when Hogan embraces Roddy Piper!

"No!" screams Schiavone! The crowd send all the hatred they have, and all the men in the ring are all smiles and celebrations. Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Jimmy Hart, and Mr. T? Hogan and Piper shove Flair out of the ring, trainers coming out to assist him to the back, and Hart goes out and forcibly steals the microphone from the ring announcer and brings it to the new champion.

"You know somethin' brothers, I don't know what you're thinking. Did you really think that this isn't what would happen? Look, I don't know what rock you been under, but see Billionaire Ted, he said 'We need Hogan, we need him to make Dubaya-See-Dubaya big the same way he did up north'. And so here I am, here I am doing what needed to be done to save this company. I just took this title away from that piece of crap, and I'm gonna make WCW worth something. You guys wanted an Icon, you wanted to be at the top? Well right here, me, Hot Rod; we are superstars, we're Kings of wrestling! We're bigger than this little pissant company, and we're better than all of you ever will be! That goes for everyone in the back, everyone watching at home. We are on top of the wrestling world brothers, and that's how it is and how it will be until we decide to change it! You WCW fans were ready to eat out of my hands, when you ain't worth my table scraps! Consider Hulkamania dead and buried, yellow and red doesn't mean anything. What matters is black and white facts - nobody will ever be better than us, not in the ring, not on the movie set, never!"

He passes the microphone to Roddy Piper, who continues. "I'm sure you're all just a weeeeeeee, wee bit confused, maybe? Heh heh... people all around the world! They know that I ain't got no love lost for this man right here. But when we both were told that they wanted Hogan, and Piper, to come to WCW, well we just kinda got a little ideeeeeaaaa... we know what they wanna do, they wanted us to come in, they wanted us to come in and pave the way, to pass the torch, so to speak, for the next generation. But if it wasn't for us there wouldn't be a next generation! We're what brought everybody to the dance! Maybe except for the fat chick in the front row there, heh heh, don't nobody wanna dance with you honey. We ain't just superstars in wrestling, but we're in Hollywood, Jack! We ain't gonna just come and lay down for any little two-bit nancy that WCW wanna use in our spot, it'd be bad for business."

Hogan takes on the microphone again, adding "All you ungrateful WCW punks should bow down to us, just because we grace this hole with our presence. We hold the power! We hold the fate of WCW! We're movie stars, brother! We snap our fingers and you should all jump. We are ironclad, brother, and nobody is gonna tell us what to do. The best part is, there's nothing any of you dudes can do about it! We have all the money, we have the connections, and now, we have the title."

Piper leans in, adding "If anybody wants to try to come take what's ours, you better be ready for war; our lawyers are vicious!"

"That's right brother, WCW wanted this to be the clash of the titans, but there's only been ever two names in wrestling brother, and that's me and this man right here! You fans got a problem with it? Well then you ungrateful bastards know where you can stick it, brother! Come on Hot Rod, this place's stink is starting to get to me."

The two leave the ring as it's being pelted in garbage, and Tony Schiavone tries to muster his voice back from being stunned speechless in order to close the show. However all he can manage to say is "Hulk Hogan, we thought we knew you, and you - you and Roddy Piper, of all people - you both can stick it." The show fades to black with silence from commentary, and the credits roll.
