Rhodes looked hellbent on getting revenge on Vampiro after Vampiro attacked Dustin's father, Dusty Rhodes, on last weeks edition of Nitro and Rhodes definitely looked to have the upper hand in the fight. Referee's and stagehands eventually filled the area and broke up the fight but the hatred between these two men was obvious. (D)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TonySchiavone3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeTenay3.jpg

Tony Schiavone: You can't really blame Dustin Rhodes for lashing out against Vampiro after everything Vampiro has put him through.

Mike Tenay: Absolutely not. World Championship Wrestling reopens the WCW Power Plant

Big news coming out of the WCW main office today as we can officially confirm that the WCW Power Plant has been reopened. WCW owner Eric Bischoff had this to say about the reopening of the Power Plant:

When I brought WCW back from the brink of death I knew that we had to be conscious about the fact that we had to start building toward the future and creating new stars and the Power Plant will help us do exactly that. It's a great place for talent to come and improve and really hone their skills before we bring them up to the main roster. I see this as a huge step forward in terms of securing the future of World Championship Wrestling.

We can confirm that several people from the active roster has been sent to the Power Plant already, and a slew of development deals have been sent out over the last few days as well as the company is aggressively pursuing the most promising young talents in the business today. Lastly we can also confirm that Fit Finlay has been named Head Trainer for the Power Plant.

And Nitro is up. The biggest surprise of the show, to me anyway, was that Goldberg vs. Shane Douglas turned out to be match of the night. Shane Douglas definitely earned himself some points in my book after that one.

The final card for Souled Out will be up tomorrow at the latest.

With Luger patrolling at ringside, Sting was constantly forced to watch his back and that allowed Jarrett to take charge of the match and Jarrett scored several near falls on Sting but each time Sting would somehow manage to kick out. Jarrett even hit Sting with the Stroke and Sting still kicked out. Getting frustrated, Jarrett "accidentally" bumped into the referee who went down and Jarrett yelled at Luger to grab a steel chair and get into the ring. Luger did so and Jarrett pulled Sting to his feet and screamed at Luger to blast Sting over the head with the chair....but Luger hesitated! That only made Jarrett scream at him even more but Luger still hesitated. "DO IT!" Jarrett demanded but Luger refused! Shaking his head and telling Jarrett no before tossing the chair out of the ring and exiting the ring himself. In disbelief Jarrett dropped Sting and walked to the ropes where he screamed at Luger to get back in the ring but Luger still refused and, as Jarrett watched Luger walk back up the ramp, Sting suddenly grabbed him from behind and nailed him with the Scorpion Death Drop just as the referee stirred back to life. Sting then draped his right arm across Jarrett's chest and it was enough for the three count and the win.

Sting defeated Jeff Jarrett at 12.35 by pinfall following the Scorpion Death Drop after Lex Luger refused to interfere in the match on Jarrett's behalf (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BookerT.jpg

Another video plays, this one spotlighting the heated rivalry between Scott Steiner and Booker T, with Steiner stealing the WCW World Title from Booker T at The Great American Bash. (B)

Steel Cage Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/WCWWorld3.jpg

Special Guest Referee

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/EricBischoff3.jpg

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Midajah.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BookerT.jpg

The main event was the highly anticipated rematch between "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and Booker T and the match did not disappoint. Both men were more than willing to use the steel cage around them as a weapon and, despite Eric Bischoff's questionable officiating, Booker T held his own in this one, even though the deck was obviously stacked against him. Every time Booker had the advantage, Bischoff would intervene and every time Booker went for the cover on Steiner, Bischoff would respond with the slowest count in the history of professional wrestling. In the end, after a grueling and brutal match that saw both men get busted open along the way, the finish came when Steiner, after Booker T had kicked out of the Steiner Flatliner, stole Booker T's finisher and nailed Booker T with a Bookend of his own and Bischoff then counted a ridiculously fast three count to give Steiner the win.

Scott Steiner defeated Booker T at 17.17 by pinfall following a Bookend and a fast count by the special guest referee, Eric Bischoff. Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash have been particularly problematic for me so far, which really sucks because I see Steiner as one of the most important guys on the roster right now because he's over with the fans and he should still have several good years left in him, and I'm a huge Nash fan so I'm disinclined to not push him.
