I'm online more often than not these days, so it would never be an inconvenience or anything. Question for the masses. What would be the best way to handle this situation? According to WrestlingData.com, Harley Race was working for both Central States Wrestling (Kansas City territory) and Jim Crockett Promotions. I had initially given Race a Central States contract, but his pop is so much higher than the rest of the roster's (as it should) so that he would be up there with the main eventers of Jim Crockett Promotions. So as of right now, while not completely accurate, I figured the best way to handle it from a gameplay perspective was to just not give him a contract with Central States. Does everyone else feel this might be the best way to handle it?

Why does it matter if his pop is so much higher than everyone else's? Besides the fact they wouldn't be able to re-sign him unless maybe he had a loyalty to them?

I'd put him on both..

That was one factor. I guess I was also a bit uncomfortable with the prospect of him not losing to anyone on the roster. :o Then again, that might not be the best reason. I was just trying to keep things balanced, if that makes sense. I could just leave him with both contracts and see what happens when I run tests.

That's true... but I doubt he lost that often when he did wrestle there. :p

Right, which is why I'm realizing that part of my reasoning may not have been sound. The bigger factor though was his contract and how much it may cost Central States. I could lower his pop a bit since IIRC, he was entering the twilight of his career by this point (if he wasn't there already).

EDIT: One thing I may need help with is who managed who in various smaller territories. WWF, JCP, AWA and World Class are pretty easy since those are the bigger companies. World Class is easy for me since I grew up watching it, lol. I'm doing as much research as I can, but sometimes even internet searching can be fruitless. :(

Sorry to double post, but just updating that Central States is now pretty much complete. I'm going to keep Harley Race with them for now and see how things go when I test things out. Next up will be the Portland territory (Pacific Northwest). I figured it might make this process go quicker tackling smaller promotions with smaller rosters.

Completed Portland, moving on to Grand Prix (AGPW). If anybody wants to take a look at page one and look through the promotions I have listed (completed, being worked on and not yet started), and check to see that I haven't left out any companies that were a big player around this time, feel free as that would be greatly appreciated.

After putting the rosters together, I'll have to put in and check title histories, import future workers, putting in and double checking TV shows and events, etc. But putting the companies together will probably take care of the most time consuming part. The next time consuming part will probably be going through the Yet to Debut workers to make sure their stats, lifestyles, etc are not out of whack. In other words, there's still work to be done after putting the companies together. But after that, things should really get rocking and rolling. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>First off, I want to send a shout out and big thanks to Jaysin who's been helping with making Organic cuts of some of the workers I don't have pictures for. Second, I'm making my way over to the UK/Europe side of the world in putting companies together. I couldn't seem to find much info on Otto Wanz's Catch Wrestling Association as far as a roster goes. And from what I could tell, it looked like it was just a once to twice a year show (that's how many show results a year there were on cagematch.net) that booked various workers from other territories. So unless someone has a roster listing for them for January 1985, what I may do is put them in with no roster and just Otto Wanz as the owner and head booker.</p><p> </p><p>

I've had the same trouble in finding info on Joint Promotions. So for now, I'm working on All Star Wrestling in the UK as there's a lot more information ready for me to piece together the company for this mod. I know there are a lot of British players here on the forums, so if anyone has any knowledge about Joint Promotions as of January 1985, that would be awesome. If there are any British and/or European members here who would like to look over the pop levels and stats of British and European workers to make sure they are where they should be, that would be an awesome bonus. Right now, I'm trying to keep the pop and stats in accordance with everyone else in the mod so that nothing crazy happens like Big Daddy or Skull Murphy coming over to the States and automatically auto-pushing to Main Eventer in the WWF (no offense to any Big Daddy and Skull Murphy fans out there).</p><p> </p><p>

Speaking of the WWF, looking over their roster for this time period and seeing who all auto-pushes to where, it becomes very apparent why Vince went on the talent raid that he went on. I know some people may go "how come this person is auto-pushing to Midcarder" or what not, but if you keep in mind that this is January 1985 and right before Vince went on his hiring spree, you'll see everyone in the WWF really is auto-pushing to where they should be.</p>

<p>Something I would suggest for this mod, as well as a lot of the old school mods is to put more jobbers in. I know that people who are just playing the game for stats don't really care about jobbers. But those attempting to play to the time period, including writing dynasties/Diaries, jobbers are an essential part of this time period.</p><p> </p><p>

Although a lot of jobbers are local workers, there are some stalwarts that certain companies used all the time. These guys should be on the roster at game start. I know it's easy to hire them after the game is started, but when you've got 1 day before your first show, it becomes a bit harder to hire going in.</p>

I remember in my Main Event mod, I put in some jobbers that some long time fans might remember such as Red Tyler, Chris Duffy and Dennis Stamp. Expect those guys to return, along with the usual suspects of the jobber kingdom such as Barry Horowitz, Steve Lombardi, Iron Mike Sharpe, Barry Orton (Barry O), etc. I'm going to try to add some more such as Mark Ming, Ricky Ataki, Mike Thor, Israel Matia, Les Thornton (who's already in the data), Johnny K-9 (will be imported), John Paul (90s jobber who worked for the WWF in 1994) and the like. Of course, hopefully I can find info on them!</p>

Don't forget ol' Tony Suber and Lee Scott. They were big on the NWA scene. I swear to god I saw them on 8 out of 10 shows in February of 1988. Pretty sure they were around during this time too. As well as Josh Stroud and Tommy Angel.

Another future jobber I want to include is Tony Roy. If I'm not mistaken, he was a mainstay for Killer Kowalski's IWF while doing jobs for the WWF in the 90s.</p>

Dennis Stamp? Pretty sure he's not booked.
