The last real classic he had that I can recall was that three way dance with him, Shane Douglas and Sabu in ECW in '94. I give him credit for going as long as he did, but it was apparent that he wasn't going to be headlining the biggest shows on a national stage, and his ECW World Title reign in '97 was more of a thank you from Paul Heyman for helping the company get to where it got to at that point.</p><p> </p><p> Hogan, I'm thinking having it hit in 1997, though if others think different, I could go earlier. Same year for Flair, but again, can go earlier if people think I should. For Savage, I'm thinking 1998 because he still had it(I think so, anyway) in that feud with DDP back in '97.</p>

That's why I think you shouldn't do any of them, Flair had classic matches up till his retirement match, Hogan was never a case of not being able to go, but being lazy, Savage was more of a case of injuries I believe, which isn't an age thing. With Funk, he put on good matches past 94, and you mentioned Sting, who wouldn't be in a decline up until that past few years, so would probably hit it in game anyway, so no need there.

<p>I prefer for all my games to be random in those settings, it also adds the challenge of some future too stars not actually being able to get to the top later on.</p><p> </p><p>

However, it's your mod. It's easy enough with the multi-edit to just edit them all to random anyway, so I'm easy.</p><p> </p><p>

Er, just one thing though... Hurry up with it. I want to book the first 'Mania! <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> lol</p>

<p>I've set Flair as 1999 in decline and 2005 in relevancy before. Probably overrating the relevancy some, but I'd say Evolution was his last great "hurrah" before now he's just descended into the straight-up raving lunatic that we know now. And correct me if I'm wrong about how time decline works, but if he's starting decline in 99, then he CAN still put on good matches for quite awhile, as it will be on the "begun the slippery slope" note and be less of a detriment. In 2000 was at least the first time I really looked at Ric Flair and went damn, that's not the same guy anymore, so set for 99 makes it about right - to my opinion, anyways.</p><p> </p><p>

I know that I severely overrated Sting in both, but it was a WCW'01 game and dammit I didn't need that headache <_< But, a case could be made for him to be declining in 2005. Sure, he should be along that ladder probably a few years before that, but that would keep him going like he is, until now. I set relevance at 2011, because this is when Sting promos have just become about "yay Sting!" instead of having much to do with anything.</p><p> </p><p>

Hope that helps a bit for someone.</p>

First off, thanks everyone for the feedback. I think the plan going forward will be just a select few guys to have hard age declines. Otherwise, everything else will be random.

Er, just one thing though... Hurry up with it. I want to book the first 'Mania! ;) lol

Be glad I'm not going to wait on Mr. Whippy to finish his gimmick file. :p It is something I'm looking forward to for future mod-making. But I'm going to go ahead and rework the gimmicks I have, and delete any gimmicks that aren't necessary. I'm tackling the gimmicks from the end of the alphabet to the beginning to help me keep track. Then I'll go back to adding workers and such.

I'd say go and make like IRL. Hogan didn't have it anymore at 2000, for example.

I think that's more to do with him not being bothered to put in the effort because WCW was such a joke at this point. On the flip side in 2002 he put together a good little run if anything it was his physical stats in decline not time decline which let him down during that time. I believe if he jumped to the WWF in 2000 and had a good selection of talent to work with while the company was so hot he would of been back to his usual self it was just the situation he was stuck in.

Question regarding gimmicks. I've been going through the gimmicks I have imported, deleting unnecessary ones, such as duplicates(because of misspellings, accents or what have you), nicknames(Bionic Redneck, American Bad Ass), and those totally unnecessary(Luchadore, Rudo, Tecnico). That said, wouldn't gimmicks such as "The Snake," "The Dragon," "The Crow" fall under nicknames, or can a case be made to keep those gimmicks?

And like you said, they were so talented that no one else could really pull off those gimmicks like they did.</p>

Using Sting for example, pre-Crow look he would have been most likely been either All American or Fan Favourite, then post-Crow look he would have been Mysterious and then transitioned back into a Fan Favourite or Legend (is that still a default gimmick?) later on in his WCW tenure.</p><p> </p><p> Just my two cents, though.</p>

In between working on the gimmicks and playing game saves with other mods, I'm getting closer to being done with reworking the gimmicks. I have shaved down from close to 700 to now having 575 gimmicks, and the number may go lower once I'm done with the gimmicks.

I'm getting close to finishing up World Class. Once I've got everyone under contract, I'll go through and touch up the contracts for any small details I may have missed, and also make sure I've got the pop levels where they should be. I do have to admit that I'm splitting my time working on this and playing WWE 2K14. :D

What I may do is after I finish JCP and AWA, I may release a very early beta with just the WWF, WCCW, JCP and AWA so people can let me know of anything I may have overlooked, stats that may be overinflated or underrated, workers that may have too high pop or pop some place that they shouldn't have it at yet, etc. My goal right now is to get those four done, then move on to the smaller and foreign promotions. I most likely won't release a picture pack with the beta as the data is just that, a beta set for testing. I want to save the picture pack for final release so people don't have to download and redownload it. Also, I'm using Mammoth's awesome Gimmick data for this mod.

Updated first page as WCCW is finished, and JCP is up next to be worked on. There were some guys listed as having matches for them in WrestlingData.com, but they only worked two or three matches in the month of January and never came back. And IIRC, Derek B said it's not really worth it to put in a contract for someone who has only appeared once or twice(barring special cases such as the Undertaker or Brock Lesnar in current day WWE).

Working on Jim Crockett Promotions, then next up will be the AWA. What's making it take longer is setting the gimmicks since I started with a clean slate on that front due to using Mammoth's gimmick file. I've also been trying to add in alter egos as I go along so I can go ahead and give them nice back stories like what Fleisch did in Real World Chronicles, rather than adding the workers, then adding all the alter egos and blowing them off because of not feeling like going through each and every one after they're all imported.

I know I said AWA was next, but watching some Mid South on Youtube has me itching to do them as well. Basically what I've done with JCP so far is doing the roster in sections, such as doing X number of workers, then going on to play a game save, doing another X number of workers, and so forth. Doing it this way to avoid burnout. I should have JCP done by tomorrow night or Saturday. I'm off work all day Saturday, so I'm going to try and tackle as much as I can that day.</p>

Almost finished with JCP. Something I've decided to do after release is post-release DLC(thanks to mod-makers before me who have implemented this for giving me the idea). This way, I can still release fictitious promotions and workers, but the original data won't be bloated since those fictitious promotions and workers would be DLC. Formal DLC announcements should be coming either later today or tonight. And no, I won't have Bryan Williams shilling it and trying to spin control any bugs that would come about. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
