The problem is most sites don't have a listing of the matches or who was on the roster in January of 1985. This might be the hardest year to replicate because 1985 was the year so many things were changing rapidly in pro wrestling. So you guys understand what I mean.<p> TBS alone had four wrestling shows on the air at this time. From 4 different wrestling promotions at the time. WWF, JCP, CWG, and Mid-South. WWF prime time wrestling starts January 1985. WWF has more programming on the air in 1985 than any other time in their history. </p><p> Georgia is in all tense and purposes an child promotion of JCP ran by Ole Anderson but Crockett and Dusty had the final say. An that comes from an interview from Jim Cornette had which he says Ole was given orders the Midnight Express was to be booked to never lose on TV. Because after World Class they were sent Georgia before going to JCP.</p><p> Matt keep up the good work on this I am glad that you took this mod because I know it will be better than what I could of done with it.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, 1985 starting off was pretty crazy TV-wise, so I may condense it for gameplay purposes. For starters, rather than making Georgia a Development company for Jim Crockett Promotions, I may make it a B show. Reason being is that a good chunk of the main roster for Georgia were also part of the main roster for JCP. Plus the leftovers would probably all wind up bitching about wanting to be called up anyway. So the easiest solution, in my opinion anyway, would be to make Georgia the B show for JCP, and have NWA Worldwide Wrestling as the A show since at that time, IIRC, that was where the majority of JCP's storylines were occurring as the WWF still had the TV rights to World Championship Wrestling. Or I could scrap Georgia altogether and have JCP's TV be Worldwide(A show) and NWA Pro Wrestling(B show). For the WWF, I'm thinking of having Prime Time as a B show due to its format, and Championship Wrestling as the A show as again, that's where a good chunk of the storylines were advanced. And Alv, thanks for the kind words. Coming from you, it means a lot. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Question concerning tag teams. I've noticed that sometimes the AI will activate several teams(the ones set to Inactive Regular or Inactive Occasional) that may share the same worker, even if his/her partner is the opposite face/heel alignment. I'm guessing this is to fill out its tag team division. That said, should I still be including future tag teams and take my chances with what the AI does, or only put in current and past teams?

Update time. The AWA is coming along swimmingly. Taking a break for the night, and getting back at it tomorrow. The last few weeks I've been splitting time doing work on it, playing my 1988 save, playing my 1991 save and writing the diary, and living life and working. Hopefully I can get the AWA done Sunday, then debating on whether to do Mid South first or release a beta with just the WWF, JCP, WCCW and the AWA. I don't know how playable it'll be since there won't be a ton of workers and no titles as I want to wait till I have everybody in the mod so that the title lineages sync up.

Second post on the first page is updated to show that the AWA is complete. I forgot that their roster wasn't all that huge back then, so it really sped things up. Anybody want a beta release now, or wait a bit longer as I get some more companies done? Like I said, not sure how playable it will be due to the fact that I'm not putting in titles until I have all the workers in so that the workers get credit for their title reigns in the title lineages.

If anything at this point, maybe if someone wants to look through it, they can PM me. In the meantime, I'm going to get started on Mid South after Christmas.</p>

UGH! I go to wrestlingdata.com today to see that the "brain surgeon" running genickbrunch decided to convert wrestlingdata to being all German. I'm using an add-on to translate the pages, which works for what I need, but it was a LOT better when there was the English version of wrestlingdata.com. I made sure to contact the administrator of the website and let him know I was not pleased at all.

Also a German Homepage but with an English Site. There are a lot profiles of Wrestlers and for every Company a "All Time Roster" where you can choose the year.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The only thing I hate about it, and this is why I preferred wrestlingdata over cagematch, is that on cagematch, you can't filter rosters by month AND year, only by year.</p>

And they have instructions pointing to the English version of the site. I thought I was going to have a national emergency there for a second. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Taking a small break from doing rosters to make a fresh list of agers for the data. I figured it would be best to go ahead and do the agers for workers I have now, then after I import and complete a roster, do some more, then do another roster, more agers, and so forth. I think it'll be easier doing it this way rather than burning myself out doing agers for a full month or so.

Triple posting for an update. Working on Continental(formerly SECW). According to WrestlingData.com, SECW would become CCW in 1985, so I might as well just have them be CCW from the start. Seeing as that it's a smaller roster, I should have them knocked out either before this weekend is over or by Monday.

Update: CCW is finished. I'll mull over which promotion to tackle next. I may go ahead and work with Oyaji to try and tackle Japan depending on his schedule. Also, just to be on the safe side, I'm going to back up this data to one(maybe more) of my flash drives.

Getting most, if not all, of my contributions done before February would be ideal. I'll be pretty limited for time after then.

Just an update that I'll be working on Japan(not sure which company just yet) as Oyaji and I have been exchanging PMs back and forth, and right now is the best time to have his help before he gets busy with real life next month. Looking forward to having him help out with this to make Japan a better playing area than in my last Main Event mod as I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to Japan. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Now I'm really interested in giving your mod a test run. Looking forward to this!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> And I'm glad you brought up WrestleMania being set as Historic. I can't speak for Alvarasus, but I'm sure it may have just been an oversight on his part given the amount of data to sift through. I'm trying to figure out what events to assign to the WWF right now as at this time period, Royal Rumble was three years away from coming about, and same with Summer Slam. Then there's the issue of whether to go with "WWF Supercard" or "Saturday Night's Main Event" for the other months, though I'm leaning more toward SNME given that it was a big deal for it to premiere in 1985. Though one could make a case for the WWF Supercards given the big shows at historical venues such as Madison Square Garden, Boston Garden, Maple Leaf Gardens, etc.</p>
