<p>I'm liking the game so far. I'm with most people who seem to not like the backgrounds but unlike most instead of complaining about it I'll just use a modded one or make my own. I'm super happy with the game. I've played Ryan's TEW and WMMA series but this is the first Wrestling Spirit that I've picked up. I am really enjoying it so far besides one seemingly huge problem that seems like it will only affect the beginning of the game (I hope).</p><p>

<span>http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a124/kindes/ws3.jpg</span></p><p>

This is a tag match I had where my created character tagged with Fearless Blue on the Independent scene. We faced off against Zachary Inc. and Romain Moore. The match took 44:12 to complete. This wasn't because we were mad skilled and had a great back and forth match. This is because lower level characters have a super hard to no chance of finishing a match. Now this was longer because it was a tag match but I've had single matches that went 20 minutes with the same effect. While I love the system with its counters and such and it does make sense that lower level characters would have a problem hitting moves, the problem of lower level characters hitting finishers, in my opinion, should be addressed. The opposing team went for exactly 0 pins (maybe they didn't have finisher at all) and I had to give up full momentum vs. no momentum to go for a finisher that had 225 out of 1000 chance of hitting. And while it is theoretically possible to win without hitting a finisher, when you hit a move like a DDT you only have a 100 out of 1000 chance of picking up the pin afterwards. Maybe it me and I'm missing something, but I don't think it should take 20 minutes for the first match in an indie show to last because both guys are constantly missing low probability finishers.</p>

Blue's best stat is 320, which is... unfortunate). Blue usually only has a Legdrop Bulldog as a finisher which isn't great as finishers go. But it's untrue to say "lower level characters have a super-hard to no chance of finishing a match" just because your current tag partner happens to be bad at it.</p><p> </p><p> Blue's choices are limited because he's *awful*. He's not "lower level", he's actually terrible. His key stat, Speed, is 320. He's literally worse than a brand new rookie spot monkey in Rookie To Legend (by a decent margin, too!). Fact remains though, even he CAN win matches.</p><p> </p><p> The only difference between a lower level guy and a higher-level guy is how many moves they can perform (and their stats, which dictate counter success, but you'll be fighting other low-level guys who also have stats in your range, so the difference is nominal). All finishers have a low chance of hit (the game forces them to), because that's part of how the game works. You need a bit of luck, and momentum on your side.</p><p> </p><p> It's not that lower-level guys suck. It's that Fearless Blue is completely and utterly useless.</p><p> </p><p> (And he beat FINisher earlier!) </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> (Sorry Fin).</p>

<p>given that I won't be able to download the demo for awhile, would love it someone would post a few of the major C-verse changes to satiate my impatience...</p><p> </p><p>

Which is more to my point. Neither Zachary Inc. or Romain Moore could finish a guy like Fearless Blue. Nor could my created character or Fearless Blue finish them. I expect 44 minute long epic matches when I'm wrestling for the title at a huge PPV. Not on my first match in the Indy scene. By the time the match was half done the crowd should have walked out and those who didn't should have booed us out the building. 44 minutes of kicks, punches and leg drops. A guy like Fearless Blue should have been finished and pinned after a DDT. Being forced to hit a super move that has almost no chance of landing to beat a guy like Fearless Blue just seems wrong.</p>

<p>Certain finishing moves are still impossable to hit. </p><p> </p><p>

I had a huge trouble playing as Hogan in WS2 due to the problem of hitting his leg drop.</p><p> </p><p>

I played as African Earthquake who basically is using the Ghanian Aftershock which is a finishing move leg drop and missed 3 times on a 0 health opponent en route to a loss...it was an overmatched opponent too.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The roll was only like 180....</p>

The victim finished upside down, so it does make sense.</p><p> </p><p> I'm really liking the demo - WreSpi3 was always going to be a Day One buy for me even before this - and the inclusion of storylines helps the career flow a lot better than v2 ever could. It's never impossible to hit a finishing move, although it may seem like it. I hit 3 Star Makers in one match as Troy Tornado, and the difference between the base Chance of Hits for the two moves is only 25.</p><p> </p><p> Also, while you get a bonus for the opponent having 0 health, it's not a requirement. Again, at least one of my Star Makers was hit while the opponent had some health left.</p>

<p>Well the move rate is like 20 percent off the original seed, plus the typical stamina penalty for big guys.</p><p> </p><p>

So you barely get a 2/10 chance.</p><p> </p><p>

The seed is way too high in my opinion.</p><p> </p><p>

It should be out of 500 after a certain part of the match, it just gets ridiculous after a while...one of the things I hated about WS2 was it taking 30 minutes to even beat jobbers because of how hard a lot of ending moves were to hit.</p>

<p>Hahahaha. Started a random brawler wrestler, played for a while, and now my entire moveset consists of ripping off the early days heel Shinsuke Nakamura. Slaps, kicks, constant chokes and boxing moves, all that's missing is the running knee finisher <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I'm impressed at how easy it is to pick on your random wrestler and just via trademark moves give him a lot of flair and make him really unique, and I haven't even started upgrading them yet.</p>

<p>At main event level not only is the usual 2 or 3/10 chance really not great but they have a ton of spirit to make the dramatic kick out so it really drags every time.</p><p> </p><p>

The bonuses are nice but not at all relevant when you are dealing with a seed out of 1000.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

A base 210 which is a typical super finisher for a guy like say Skull Debones...at full momentum, opponent at 0 health and whatever miscellaneous bonuses...you might see a 70 or so increase which is still like a 3/10 chance....and at that point in the match you will be tired so that's another 10 percent off....plus the slip or whatever penalty the opponent is getting which I've seen as high as 20 percent</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Usually Im lucky if the rate is in the mid 300s even after taunting to full momentum and beating my opponent all the way down.</p>

Just finished the first 3 months. Love the game. Am definitely going to buy it. Think I might make a new set of skins to play with in the mean time. I would say out of what I've played I'd give it an 8/10. It's really fun to play and design a wrestler and actually have to work at beating your opponents. It gets frustrating at the end when you can't finish off your opponent. Especially in the matches that you dominate and then they come back to win because you can't hit a finisher. I'll be interested to see if it can keep up being fun after playing for awhile. I think the new challenges of becoming the best in each company you go to will keep me coming back. Haven't gotten to how contracts work or if you can have relationships with other characters but as far as a demo goes it did what it was suppose to and that is make me interested and excited to purchase the game when it comes out.

While creating a moveset, I found a typo. The attack is "Cage Ram", and "simply" is misspelled as "simpls". I don't know if this is the place for pointing this out, but this may need to get rectified in future releases so people don't have to go and edit it each time they download the game.

The match lasted 28 minutes.</p><p> </p><p> My third match I lost to one of the worst workers in the game because everytime I tried a High or Finisher I failed...het hit me with a DDT...taunted for an eternity and eventually hit me with a top rope clothesline for the pin.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Like I said before, finishers and high moves really need to be easier to hit in general...perhaps increase the bonuses or something. Jobbers or midcarders shouldn't really be countering you over and over and main eventers have high spirit and will kick out of moves for the most part.....having both is just overkill.</p>

<p>Actually got through a match. Playing as T-Rex I got a 1st match against Nicky Champion. yay!</p><p> </p><p>

He basically gave me an absolute belting but through judiciously hitting a few powerbombs I manged to knock him down a bit too. he should have sewn the match up after 25 minutes but Nicky is a girl so he couldnt quite finish the match. The Mighty T-Rex took an absolute punishment and bled like a stuck pig but finally managed to apply the Jurassic Crush for a submission win after 39 minutes.</p><p> </p><p>

Who fancies watching a 39 minute T-Rex match? Anyone? Anyone? Well it was a 5* one!</p><p> </p><p>

Honestly the match was about 2-3 times too long for me. The last 10-15 minutes of in-match play time was pretty dull. But thats probably mostly due to the fact that T-Rex is not a varied worker.</p><p> </p><p>

Still felt pretty good to make Nicky tap though</p>
