Rock Downpour: It's time to kick it oooooooooold schoooooool one again. We got a action packed show for you all tonight. As always this is Rock Downpour.

Ernie Turner: And this is Sweet and Southern Ernie Turner. It feels like it has been forever, but yet not long enough since I have had to sit with you, Rock.

Rock Downpour: I would say the feeling is mutual. We have a lot of matches tonight and we are starting with a big one. The tag team titles are on the line one again!

Ernie Turner: Who has the courage to make the challenge? I think we are about to find out!

Wiley Coyote vs Power Players © with Isabella Encanta

The champs look confident as can be until there is the loud roar of motorcycles heard and Wiley Coyote come rolling in much to the delight of the fans. The former champions look ready for a fight and they get one as soon as they get in the ring. The veterans get the upper hand and the fans go wild when they manage to dump both champs out of the ring and celebrate.

It is a short lived one because the champs soon recover and they use their strength advantage to its fullest. Wiley gets isolated from his partner for some time and both Steel and Brody do well not to let him escape from their corner. A botched double team finally allows Wiley to make it to Coyote Dynamite who explodes into action. He gets both champs reeling with big forearms and punches, but a charge has him meet with the big boot of Brody who managed to recover from his daze enough. He knocks Wiley off the apron and goes out after him while a recovered Steel picks up and puts Coyote Dynamite in the torture rack. He taps soon after.

Winners and Still Champions: Power Players (Defenses: 3)

Rating: E+

Rock Downpour: Well it was nice to see Wiley Coyote back after all these years, but even the former four time New York City Wrestling tag team champions couldn't put down the Power Players.

Ernie Turner: Old men looking for glory, but they just couldn't topple younger and hungrier competitors.

Rock Downpour: I thought you would be cheering for the challengers. Weren't you in a tag team with Coyote Dynamite?

Ernie Turner: I would never.

Rock Downpour: Masked assassins or something weren't you both?

Ernie Turner: I would never hide this pretty face. If anyone would need a mask while wrestling it would be you.

Rock Downpour: Oh please....hey. Why is Isabella coming our way?

Ernie Turner: To help me keep you in line. She is our special guest tonight! Do try to be a gentleman.

Rock Downpour: It's going to be a long night.

Honest Frank is flanked by Monty Trescarde and Andrew Harper. The trio looks to be in the back area of The Ministry somewhere in a mostly empty room. Perhaps a hiding place to keep Brandon Smith and The Ring Generals away from them.

Honest Frank: What you see again are three men who are tired with how things work around here. You people cheer the likes of Bulldozer Brandon Smith and The Ring Generals when it is harder workers like myself and Money and Muscle that get brushed aside and ignored. Last week you saw this will no longer happen. We are going to take control and when all is said and done you will be cheering our names. Just watch and see what happens tonight. We will all be victorious and show you that those men are just pretenders while we are all contenders. Brandon, as far as I see it you will never get a title shot in this company as long as I am around. Meanwhile Andrew and Monty will show that The Ring Generals are yesterday's news and there is a new, dominant tag team in this company. I'm sorry if you all don't like what I have to say, but I'm just being honest.

He just smiles and he motions to the other two with a nod of his head before the trio slips off camera.

Monty Trescarde vs Dean Waldorf

Monty tries his underhanded tricks, but Dean seems to have studied his tape and combined with his ring savvy he easily telegraphs the attempts made by the Wall Street Warrior. Dean puts on a string of impressive throws and holds to keep Trescarde down, but poke to the eye finally lets Monty escape and go on offense. While the two tussle at one point Trescarde pulls Bull in between the two men at the last moment and he is knocked out. Dean disposes of Monty by tossing him outside the ring so he can try to revive Bull. Monty ends up not being as hurt as Dean expected and the nefarious one gets his briefcase and clocks Dean from behind. Bull recovers enough to see Trescarde making the pin and counts to three.

Winner: Monty Trescarde

Rating: D

Rock Downpour: That cheating little snake.

Ernie Turner: I hear it is only cheating if you get caught.

Isabella Encanta: Don't be jealous, Rock. He just has the intelligence to think of something like that to give him the edge.

Rock Downpour: And what if he did it to one of your clients?

Isabella Encanta: I think he is too smart to do that.

Rock Downpour: Uh huh....

Quentin Queen with Dharma Gregg vs New York Doll with Roxy Kitten

New York Doll is showing a lot of fire during the match. He looks to be doing his damndest to be impress Roxy, but she seems more intent on taunting and mocking Dharma instead of paying attention to what is going on in the ring. It seems to upset Doll and even put a damper on his spirits which allows for Queen a moment to try and gain momentum. Only then when Doll seems to be on the ropes Roxy suddenly seems interested and is screaming at him. Queen goes to heft Doll up, but he slips behind the rookie and spins him about. Kick to the gut and a spike DDT puts the rookie away.

Winner: New York Red

Rating: E+

Isabella Encanta: I feel sorry for Roxy Kitten. She has such an idiot for a client.

Ernie Turner: I almost want to come out of retirement so she has a proper person to manage.

Isabella Encanta: You are such a caring individual, Ernie.

Rock Downpour: Oh please.

http://i.imgur.com/o7hJ4dF.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/wNclXCp.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/DTDr8Hy.jpg

The New York Doll seems obviously upset with Roxy. He gets a microphone and asks for her to get in the ring.

New York Doll: What do you want from me? I told you this is my year and sure it started out rocky, but I am doing what you want. I am a winner! Three in a row!

Roxy doesn't seem pleased by his attitude and snatches the microphone away and slaps Red. He just stares in disbelief as she thrusts a finger into his chest.

Roxy Kitten: Three wins is nothing. I want gold, baby. I am going to get you into a King of New York qualifying match. Time for you step up and show me you really are a man and not some pretender.

She shoves the microphone back at him and struts off. New York Doll looks like a mixture of heartbroken and angry as he just hangs his head and follows Roxy out of the arena.

Sammy the Shark vs Black Hat Bailey

Black Hat Bailey jumps Sammy at the start and uses his size advantage and experience to gain early control of the match. Sammy's offense gets stifled often and there can be looks of frustration on his face when he isn't busy getting it punched. It seems that frustration finally gets the best of him and while Bull is at an angle he can't see it, Sammy knees Bailey right in the groin as hard as he can. The big man staggers back and Sammy looks a bit shocked for a moment about what he let himself do. It doesn't keep him from taking advantage from he situation though and he starts to work over Bailey. The veteran never fully gets back into the earlier groove he was in and Sammy soon puts him away with a Royal Flush.

Winner: Sammy the Shark

Rating: D+

Ernie Turner: Ooooh, Sammy my boy. Did I see what I think I saw?

Rock Downpour: He let his anger get the better of him. I am sure he regrets it though.

Ernie Turner: I am not sure about that. I bet he will remember that as the turning point on getting a win.

Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs Andrew Harper

Harper is not able to overpower his opponent like he usually can. Brandon Smith is just as big and perhaps even stronger than the muscle of Honest Frank's crew. Smith doesn't hold back at all and he looks as if he is out to make a statement. Harper is just overwhelmed and despite his best effort to fight back Smith is just too relentless. Harper is soon bounced off the ropes and he is almost folded in half by a spear.

Winner: Bulldozer Brandon Smith

http://i.imgur.com/UqeGFGu.jpg

The fired up Brandon Smith doesn't seem like he is ready to leave the ring. He looks around as if expected to be jumped as he goes to get himself a microphone. There is intensity in his eyes as he just looks towards the entrance ramp.

Brandon Smith: You know you talk a big game, Frank. Funny how you aren't around and you left one of your little cronies behind to fight me. You want to target me and you want to beat me down? Well you just made the wrong move, buddy. You all now have a target on your back and if you want to know what it is like to have to take me on just ask your friend I just beat the snot out of about what I can do. Watch your back, Frank. I'm coming to getcha!

Rating: D

Rock Downpour: I would not want to be in Honest Frank's shoes right about now.

Ernie Turner: You couldn't fit your fat feet in them anyways. Frank isn't worried. Brandon has brawn, but Frank has brains. He will outsmart that big goof.

Rock Downpour: I suppose time will tell. I have a feeling things aren't going to be settled any time soon.

Rayne Man © with Cheerleader Nicki vs Rick Sanders

Rick plays the role of the crafty veteran and he seems to be looking for revenge by plucking away the title his partner used to hold from Rayne Man. Rick has answers for everything Rayne seems to try and he controls the match early on. He might just be too cocky in the long run as a few mistakes allow Rayne to start to fight back as Nicki tries to get the crowd behind the champion. Rayne executes a beautiful butterfly suplex after a few big moves and he manages to put the challenger away.

Nicki starts to get into the ring to give Rayne his belt, but he stops her and asks her to bring a microphone as well. The champ smiles faintly as he looks to the crowd and speaks to them.

Rayne Man: I know I have a lot of work to do before you fully accept me. I know the indifference that often comes with me showing up. Yes, I was part of a big company, but it is behind me now. I need to make a name for myself instead of a company to do it for me. Winning this belt has to be my most important moment of my career. A career that I want to continue with New York City Wrestling for a very long time. I can't please everyone, but I hope in time you all will accept me. Thank you everyone.

He gets a few cheers from the crowd as he bows a bit and finally exits the ring.

Rating: D-

Ernie Turner: What a suck-up.

Rock Downpour: What!? He was just talking from his heart.

Ernie Turner: He is sucking up to the crowd. He shouldn't worry about all those idiots. Caring about the crowd won't get you anywhere.

Rock Downpour: There is a reason why you never got cheered.

Ernie Turner: And I don't care! They never did anything for me.

Rock Downpour: You are hopeless.

Steve Flash vs The Masked Mauler

Mauler uses his power advantage early on to work over Flash. Flash is smothered in the corner and rarely given any breathing room which makes it hard for him to get any offense in. Mauler goes for a big back body drop, but Flash manages to flip over and land on his feet. Mauler turns about only to soon assaulted by several kicks from Steve Flash. Flash starts rolling and he sends the bigger man reeling with some crisp dropkicks. Mauler is dazed and doesn't look like he knows where he is. Flash Kick takes the big man off his feat and Steve goes to make the pin.

Winner: Steve Flash

Rating: D+

Rock Downpour: Steve Flash is such an amazing talent. Age hasn't done anything to slow him down.

Ernie Turner: Pfft, he is just lucky I don't come out of retirement.

Rock Downpour: What would you do?

Ernie Turner: I would pin him! What do you mean 'what would you do'?

Rock Downpour: Hah! I would pay to see that.

Marv Statler vs Honest Frank

Frank goes after Marv, but his sneak attack is anticipated and Marv starts to give Honest Frank a lesson in mat wrestling by keeping the crafty one down on the mat with several variations of holds. It is a thumb to the eye that finally allows Frank to get the advantage and he does all he can to keep Marv dazed as he works over the former tag team champion. The pair start to brawl eventually and Michael Bull gets taken out by an errant, possibly deliberate, punch from Honest Frank who then tosses Marv out of the ring so he can have a moment to recover while seemingly looking to pull something from his tights.

Brandon Smith soon comes charging towards the ring as the crowd goes wild. He dives in and assaults Frank who drops the brass knuckles he had in hand. Frank escapes to the outside and he looks trapped between Marv and Smith. Smith goes for the spear, but Frank moves which causes Smith to collide with Marv. A surprised Brandon tries to help out Marv, but Frank comes up from behind after retrieving the brass knuckles. He knocks Brandon out and then he rolls Marv into the ring. Bull has recovered enough by now that he can make the count and give Honest Frank the win. Frank is quick to escape as Brandon Smith seems to be recovering.

Winner: Honest Frank

Rating: D+

Ernie Turner: This is what I was telling you about, Rock. Brandon has the brawn, but Frank has the brains. The Bulldozer let his anger get ahold of him and look at the result!

Rock Downpour: It is rare I agree, but Brandon Smith may have caused Marv Statler the match. His intentions were good, but in the end hit the wrong man with the spear.

http://i.imgur.com/kKzI9ZK.jpg

Jack Griffith is backstage by himself. The title rests across his lap as the veteran looks off camera in a bit of a daze when he begins to speak.

Jack Griffith: Ford Gumble....a man that tasted fame. A man who wants to be a cowboy now and try to reclaim glory. We are alike it some ways. We both perhaps did things we shouldn't have. What I have to wonder is if you really have defeated your demons like I have. Why did you come here, Ford? To hope to get noticed again? Hope those that remember you back when you were fit and in the big leagues? It won't do you any good if that is the case. I think tonight you will find yourself getting a dose of Southern Justice and we will see who the real man is.

Jack Griffith © vs Ford Gumble

The match starts out as a stalemate with both men exchanging blows and holds, but eventually Jack lights a fire under Gumble when he spits in the challenger's face. Ford unloads on Jack and the champ is looking to be in a lot of trouble as he can't get any breathing room. A thumb to the eye halts the momentum of Gumble and Jack starts to hit him with several powerful knee strikes and elbows. The rough and tumble brawler continues to pound on Gumble. The champ puts Gumble into the corner and goes for a running dropkick only for Gumble to move out of the way at the last moment.

The two start to both slow down from wear and tear as the minutes pass by. They exchange several blows both inside and out of the ring. It is a reversal that eventually allows the champ the chance to take control of the match. Ford looks to pick him up, but Jack slips out of the slam attempt and lands behind Gumble. German suplex grounds Gumble and Jack is quick to heft him up and deliver the Southern Cross. Three slaps to the mat later the champ retains.

Winner and Still Champion: Jack Griffith (Defenses: 2)

Rating: C

Rock Downpour: What a match! Ford Gumble gave it his all, but Jack Griffith continues to show that he is going to be a tough man to beat.

Ernie Turner: Southern Justice holding a title in New York. Life doesn't get much better for a Southern boy like myself!

Rock Downpour: That's it for us tonight, folks. We'll see you next month at No Turning Back!

It seems that despite the fact he decided to stop being the booker for NYCW, Black Hat Bailey will not be leaving the company any time soon. The veteran is still considered valuable as a in ring talent and as a man that can help develop the ring skills of the younger wrestlers. The length of the contract is at least for a year and by that time it might be Bailey's time to decide if he wants to retire or continue with more short term contracts.

Two of NYCW's talents look to be going out west very soon. Both The New York Doll and Ernie Turner have decided to pull double duty now as both have signed with Pro Wrestling Max. The New York Doll has never worked for any other company and he hopes that getting additional work will help him improve even more in and out of the ring. Ernie Turner's role with the company owned by Findlay O'Farraday looks to be that of a manager. It is unknown if he will be managing The New York Doll or not in this case as neither have debuted yet. The company's first show will be in May. Larry Vessey and Michael Bull seem to have no problems with these signings and both men will continue to be featured in NYCW shows.

Fans got to see old time favorites, Wile E Coyote, appear at the last show for NYCW. The former tag champs were unsuccessful in regaining the titles, but overall it was felt to be a good decision to bring them in. It is said for Coyote Dynamite this is a one time appearance for him and his last match as an in ring competitor. Soon after the event he announced he would be retiring and looking at possible coming a road agent. Wiley Steinway on the other hand is said to still be in great condition and impressed enough that he was offered a longer term contract. It adds another veteran presence to the locker room and Wiley is known to be a competitor that is not against putting over younger talent while he can still perform well on his own. It just remains to be seen what plans Michael Bull has for the veteran now since he will be competing in singles competition due to Coyote Dynamite's retirement.

I'm glad this is back. I really appreciate how you try and sign NYCW-type workers. You haven't gone after the popular indy workers (not that there's anything wrong with that, I do it every game I play), but you get some older guys like Jack Griffith and Wiley Coyote (workers I didn't even know existed and have never seen). It's unique. </p><p> </p><p>

Also, if you don't mind me asking, who are you blaming for the poor tag team grades Steel & Brody, or their opponents?</p>

Brody and Steel are not great workers to start and they have no experience as a tag team starting out. They are improving nicely at least. A few of the teams have little popularity as well. Blue Collar Boys have some talent, but their popularity to start was nil. Wiley Coyote could have been there best grade I think if not for the fact Coyote Dynamite was 12 years past his best.</p><p> </p><p> I have already done the next show and have it partially written up so I can say they have gotten their best grade yet. Nothing to write home about, but it is nice to see some improvement. I only wish they got a chemistry bonus like Money and Muscle did. Then again Money and Muscle have gotten better grades due to better competition like the Ring Generals who I have kept away from the champs for the time being.</p>

<strong>Old School Principals vs Blue Collar Boys with Dharma Gregg</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Blue Collar Boys try to start off strong and take it to their opponents. They manage to get Rick out of the ring and stagger Mauler, but then the masked wrestler manages to get rolling as he overpowers the younger opponents and starts to take control. The veteran team end up being too much for the pair that are still getting used to being a team and The Masked Mauler puts away Queen with a powerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: Oh please. The Blue Collar Boys tried their best, but Rick and Mauler are a dangerous combination.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: That's enough out of you! I'll get you thrown right out of here.</p><p> </p><p>

Sammy the Shark seems to be talking to a trainer about something. As he finishes the conversation he turns about and comes face to face with Roxy. Sammy raises a brow as Roxy just gets in very close and gives a wicked grin.</p><p> </p><p>

Roxy Kitten: My dear Sammy. Now you are a man. Not like that fool that is trying to impress me. I saw how you beat Black Hat Bailey last month and now look at you. You could be Empire champion finally. You are really moving up in the world.</p><p> </p><p>

Sammy the Shark: What I did to Bailey was not intentional. I just got caught up in the moment. It was reflex.</p><p> </p><p>

Roxy Kitten: Is that so? Maybe you should consider who you really are, Sammy. Play by those rules and see if you get the title tonight. But when you are ready to accept who you really are....</p><p> </p><p>

She trails off and she reaches into her top. She pulls out a slip of paper and slips it into one of Sammy's hands.</p><p> </p><p>

Roxy Kitten: We'll talk.</p><p> </p><p>

She gives a wink and slinks off, leaving a rather conflicted looking Sammy staring at her retreat at first then down at the paper in his hand.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Wiley Steinway vs The New York Doll with Roxy Kitten</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Steinway dominates early as the veteran has a size advantage as well as more experience. The Doll attempts to fight back and try to impress Roxy, but usually his offense is stymied and Roxy for the most part looks uninterested in the match. Wiley goes to put Doll on his shoulders, but the smaller wrestler slips free and goes to roll up Wiley. It seems to be enough to surprise the veteran and The New York Doll picks up the win.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: The New York Doll</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

The Doll tries to celebrate with Roxy, but she just walks off and the confused Doll runs after her wondering what he did wrong now.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: He just qualified for The King of New York! Why is Roxy acting like this? Wasn't this what she wanted?</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: I told you women are strange creatures. I think She still has Sammy on the mind.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rayne Man © with Cheerleader Nicki vs Whistler</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The crowd seems behind Whistler for this one and the burly veteran manages to keep Rayne Man in check with several heavy punches and forearms. Rayne starts to smarten up when he realizes he can't win a brawl against the likes of Whistler and he goes for one of the veteran's legs and takes it out from under him. Rayne slows the pace and he just tries to keep Whistler grounded and work over the leg he picked out. Whistler attempts a few comebacks, but Rayne manages to stop him from getting too much momentum and in the end retains after slapping a single leg crab on the leg he had been working over.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: I am comfortable where I am. Why don't you do that?</p><p> </p><p>

Honest Inc is outside of The Ministry from the looks of it. Frank idly puffs on a cigarette as he regards the camera filming him and his cohorts for a few moments before a grin crosses his features and he speaks.</p><p> </p><p>

Honest Frank: Is everyone worried we wouldn't be here? They can deny us matches, but we will not be forgotten. Tonight we will leave another lasting memory for all of you fans. Bulldozer Brandon Smith thinks I am trying to dodge him. I think he wants a war. A war we will win. Brandon, my boy, tonight you will see why that is a mistake. When is all said and done don't be mad. Afterall....</p><p> </p><p>

He trails off and takes one last puff off his cigarette and flicks it aside. He exhales the smoke at the camera then winks.</p><p> </p><p>

Honest Frank: I'm just being honest with you.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Black Hat Bailey vs Animal Harker</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The match degenerates into a big brawl between the two that goes inside and outside the ring as Michael Bull seems to just let the two go at it to settle things. Both men do always manage to avoid the ten count being administered to them and eventually the action returns to the ring as Harker seems to have Bailey on his last legs. It seems the veteran was playing possum though and a poke to the eye stuns Harker enough that Bailey is able to heft him up and deliver the Black Hat Buster.</p><p> </p><p>

Isabella Encanta comes out with microphone in hand as she is flanked by the tag team champions. She has a cocky look on her face while being helped into the ring by the Power Players. Brody looks like his usual angry hobo self while Steel spies some ladies near ringside and is posing at them as Encanta speaks.</p><p> </p><p>

Isabella Encanta: When I made an open challenge I was hoping for an actual challenge. Not two has-beens that haven't sniffed a ring in years. I think at least one of them realized the mistake they made. Have a happy retirement, Coyote Dynamite.</p><p> </p><p>

She laughs it up a bit as the crowd boos. She just rolls her eyes at them and continues to speak.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Power Players © with Isabella Encanta vs The Aces of Mayhem</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The champs seem unimpressed, but their tune soon changes once they find themselves unable to jump the speedy team of Ace Youngblood and Max Mayhem. The MAW representatives manage to get both champs out of the room and then both dive out on top of them. The crowd is going wild and the match is a chaotic one that Michael Bull has a hard time getting control of. The champs get pushed to their limit and they are constantly having to find a way to distract the challengers to even try and get some sort of advantage.</p><p> </p><p>

Isabella eventually comes around to try and distract Ace while he is on the apron and that brings Bull over to try and send her back in the corner. It allows Brody just enough time to get in and hit Max with a big running kick before he slips out of the ring and goes to pull Ace off the apron. Michael Bull is turning about to see Steel with the unconscious Max Mayhem in the torture rack. Bull soon calls for the bell.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: The Aces of Mayhem represented their company well and I am sure they would have defended those titles if asked.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs Steve Flash</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The crowd is going crazy as the two fan favorites go at it. Steve seems to just be one step ahead of Brandon from the get go and the bruiser has trouble dealing with the crafty veteran. Even when he gets his hands on Steve it seems like Flash has a plan to slip free from the grip or reverse Brandon's holds with one of his own. Even veterans eventually make mistakes and Brandon pounces on Steve once he does. Brandon delivers a big shoulder breaker and as he makes motion that he is about to go for the spear things start to go chaotic.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/VJiMHTW.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/rYMUfTP.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/QClta1l.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Honest Inc invades the ring from various directions. The already downed Steve Flash gets stomped on by Harper while Monty Trescarde hits Brandon Smith in the back of the head with his briefcase. Honest Frank just has a big smile on his face as he watches his partners in crime continue to demolish both competitors. Bull calls for the bell and he tries to break things up, but Honest Frank keeps him cornered and doesn't let him pass.</p><p> </p><p>

The assault continues as Bull finally gets dumped out of the ring. Frank looks pleased with what he sees as the crowd is throwing trash in the ring at this point. They soon start to cheer as The Ring Generals finally come charging down to make the save. Honest Inc quickly bails out and Honest Frank just wags a finger and he celebrates with his cohorts. Both Dean and Marv check on the fallen competitors as Honest Inc finally head to the back, seemingly pleased with the carnage they caused.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jack Griffith © vs Sammy The Shark</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Sammy looks conflicted at times during the fight and it is one of those things that just can't happen when dealing with someone like Jack Griffith. The champion dominates a good portion of the match due to Sammy seeming indecisive at times. Often it seems like his anger is going to get the best of him, but he seems to catch himself and hesitate which only gives an open for the champ. Finally Sammy does seem to snap and while tangled up he manages to slip in a knee to the groin that Michael Bull fails to see.</p><p> </p><p>

Sammy starts to unload on the champ and starts to show a more vicious side that hasn't been seen in a long time. He even manages several close pinfalls on the champ before Jack manages duck out of the way of a flying shoulder that sends Sammy out of the ring. The champ is quick to capitalize on this and Sammy soon ends up back in the ring and a victim to the Southern Cross.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Oh my I think I like what I see coming from Sammy. I think this is what Roxy was trying to tell him. If he gave in earlier he could be champ.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: I don't know about that, but it certainly did seem to throw Jack off his game there.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: But Southern Justice couldn't be held down. My boy still has the Empire Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

It looks like Black Hat Bailey is still keeping himself very busy despite no longer being head booker. It has been said lately the veteran has been working with Andrew Harper in helping the young man improve. It seems much like Larry Vessey and Michael Bull that Bailey believes Harper will be an integral member of the roster for a long time and has become a mentor to the young brawler. The future just looks to get brighter and brighter for Harper as the year goes on and perhaps even in the future he may adopt the trademark black hat and become Black Hat Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

It seems the locker room is a bit less peaceful as of late. While Honest Frank and Bulldozer Brandon Smith are involved in a storyline where Frank things Smith hasn't paid enough dues to be where he is at, it seems Rick Sanders actually feels that way backstage and a full blown argument between himself and Brandon Smith broke out. Both men had to be separated and it is being said the two won't even stand in the same room together at this point. Many are surprised by how Rick Sanders has been acting as the veteran has always been likeable and usually doesn't cause trouble. In the end is it a good move for the 44 year old veteran to act this way. With the influx of new talent as well as other veterans that aren't being problematic this could be the end for someone like Rick Sanders and a shame too given he has been a mainstay for NYCW for so long.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/68JF0BD.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/ESPw1OD.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

There has been news that the popularity of NYCW keeps increasing and many sources declaring them a Regional company at this point. Several great main events as well as new blood being signed are stated as the reasons why the New York based company has managed to spread its influence and become more important. It remains to be seen just how popular they can become if they look to stick to their old traditions.</p><p> </p><p>

They do seem to be growing overall in the fact Bull has been looking to make a few more signings and possibly the last batch of the year. So far is has been confirmed two men will be appearing at the next NYCW show. The first is Teddy Powell who recently ended his tenure with PSW. It is said he left on good terms and he was just wanting to move in a new direction. Powell's addition is yet another experienced veteran who already has name value to the region.</p><p> </p><p>

The second signing is a former MAW roster member who goes by The Architect of Your Destruction or The Architect for short. He is relatively knew and his tenure in MAW was a short one at that. Apparently he had several issues with MAW's head booker, Mean Jean Cattley, and wanted to work somewhere else. Apparently Sam Keith contacted Larry Vessey and Michael Bull and suggested they sign the rookie. The Architect will now get to work alongside fellow former MAW member Bulldozer Brandon Smith.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/o7hJ4dF.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/Y7BHIW7.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The date has been set for The King of New York and it will perhaps be sooner than expected. At least for this year the tournament will be held in September and will have a total of eight participants. Black Hat Bailey and The New York Doll have already captured two of those spots while two more spots will be on the line this June. No qualifiers will take place at Gang Wars and then two more spots will be decided on in August. The final two spots apparently will be awarded to members of the COTT alliance who will send a representative to compete in the event. This year it will be a member from CZCW and MAW.</p><p>

<p>NYCW Empire Championship</p><p>

<strong>Jack Griffith ©</strong> vs Marv Statler</p><p>

<em>Statler isn´t anywhere near ready to win the main belt.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NYCW Tri-State Regional Championship</p><p>

<strong>Rayne Man © </strong>vs The Masked Mauler</p><p>

<em>I don´t see Mauler being the one who ends Rayne´s run.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NYCW Tag Team Championship</p><p>

<strong>Power Players © </strong>vs ???</p><p>

<em>With this being a third challenge, we starting to get into territory where upset loss is a possibility but I´d say that it won´t happen just yet.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Also on the Card</p><p>

King of New York Qualifier: Whistler vs <strong>???</strong></p><p>

<em>Like many of the older guys, it looks like Whistler is mainly putting others over at this point so I go with mystery man on this one.</em></p><p> </p><p>

King of New York Qualifier: <strong>Sammy the Shark</strong> vs Rick Sanders</p><p>

<em>Sanders seems to be here mainly to but younger guys over too and Sammy is certainly good enough to warrant a win.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Ford Gumble vs <strong>Teddy Powell</strong></p><p>

<em>Could go either way bit I predict debut win for Powell.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Money and Muscle vs <strong>Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Steve Flash</strong></p><p>

<em>Money and Muscle seems to be marked for great things but Smith and Flash are likely your two best faces at the moment and it´s a bit too tall mountain for Money and Muscle to climb at this point.</em></p><p> </p><p>

The Southern Stars vs <strong>The New York Doll and ???</strong></p><p>

<em>Doll has collected lots of wins lately and I figure that will continue to be the case here.</em></p>

I was able to hang onto him a lot longer than I thought in my NYCW game... AI isn't quite on our level... yet. Sammy gets a win here.

Rock Downpour: It is time to go oooooooold schooooooool once again. We are here on a nice June evening at The Ministry. This is Rock Downpour.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: And this is Sweet and Southern Ernie Turner. Are you ready, Rock? We are closing in on the biggest event of the year.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: That's right! Gang Wars is next month and I am sure there will be exciting matches, but that is still a month away. We got plenty of action tonight too!</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Another open tag challenge, the arrival of Teddy Powell and most of all Honest Inc get to embarrass Bulldozer Brandon Smith again.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: I don't think that will go how you think. Smith has a New York City Wrestling icon Steve Flash as a partner. Even so it does see that Honest Inc has some words!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/o7hJ4dF.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

In the back area of The Ministry the group known as Honest Inc are relaxing in a room. Harper is unloading on a punching bag as Trescarde seems to be counting stacks of cash. Honest Frank smiles at the camera as he reaches to direct it to look at him.</p><p> </p><p>

Honest Frank: I told you we would make a mark last month. This month is our time to make another one. You think we are scared of you teaming with Steve Flash? They are primed and ready. These men are the future and you both are just going to be another rung on the ladder they climb to the top. But most of all I know what you really want, Brandon. You want me. I tell you what. Next month we have Gang Wars and it is an event I have never lost at over the years. As you can see I also have two partners.</p><p> </p><p>

He looks thoughtful in a mocking way as he pretends to be pondering things before finally looking like he gets an idea.</p><p> </p><p>

Honest Frank: So how about this. Find yourself two more friends. It doesn't matter who you get because it won't be enough. If you can somehow beat us at Gang Wars then I will give you what you want. You can take me on one on one. This isn't me being overconfident. This is just me being honest.</p><p> </p><p>

He winks and he starts to turn away, but pauses and turns back about right as Harper hits the punching bag hard enough it breaks open and starts spilling sand everywhere. Frank just smiles and leans in towards the camera.</p><p> </p><p>

Honest Frank: That is if you survive tonight of course.</p><p> </p><p>

He chuckles and the camera fades.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Sammy the Shark vs Rick Sanders</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Rick looks to get the jump on Sammy, but he misses the corner charge and starts to take a beating. Sammy shows a bit more energy and intensity than he usually does and resembles more the Sammy everyone saw in the championship match last month. Rick is overwhelmed the majority of the match and is eventually put away by Sammy.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: Sammy the Shark</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rock Downpour: Sammy the Shark joins The New York Doll and Black Hat Bailey in the King of New York tournament!</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: We still got one spot for grabs tonight later on and we will have half the field. I think Roxy still has a fire lit under Sammy too. I wonder if she was watching.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: She should be with her client instead of worrying about Sammy.</p><p> </p><p>

In the locker area of The Ministry stands Bulldozer Brandon Smith along with The Ring Generals. All three men have a confident look on their face and Brandon stands in between the former tag team champs.</p><p> </p><p>

Bulldozer Brandon Smith: How nice of you to offer me a challenge, Frank. It is one I readily accept. I am not scared of your boys tonight and I sure as hell am not scared wrestling all three of you. You know why? Because I got two partners that have my back that I can trust. Like me they have a bone to pick with you. They will also make sure you won't be causing any problems when me and Steve take your boys down. Get rested, Frank. I'M COMING! WE'RE COMING! IT WILL BE A WAR!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Rating: D-</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: That will be one hell of a match. Brandon and the Ring Generals will be taking on Honest Inc!</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Looks like Frank just got what he wanted. He has a plan. Win or lose that man always has a plan.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: He might regret what he proposed. What will happen if Bulldozer and Ring Generals win?</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Then he just has to take out Brandon Smith on his own. Simple, stupid.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/o7hJ4dF.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/jWIywCP.jpg</span>VS<span>http://i.imgur.com/68JF0BD.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ford Gumble vs Teddy Powell</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Powell looks to try and stick to a run and gun approach as he uses his speed to its fullest advantage. Gumble is left flustered for a good portion of the match until a big dropkick finally takes out Powell who was getting perhaps a bit overconfident. Gumble begins to dominate the smaller Powell and he eventually tosses Powell from the ring. The fight goes to the outside and Teddy finally seems to have enough of the beating he is taking and he delivers a big kick right between Gumble's legs right in front of Michael Bull who calls for the bell. With Gumble subdued by the kick Powell hits the cowboy with a chair and poses in victory.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: Ford Gumble</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Ernie Turner: He lost the match, but Teddy sure looks like a winner to me!</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: Are you serious!? He hit Gumble with a chair! I don't know what he is thinking, but we aren't THAT kind of a promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: And maybe that will be his greatest advantage. You never know what he might do</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: Oh please.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/o7hJ4dF.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

<strong>Money and Muscle vs Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Steve Flash</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Money and Muscle look overwhelmed at first, but some favorable cheating tactics eventually let them take advantage and separate the smaller Steve Flash from his partner and work him over in the corner. The veteran takes a big beating before he finally reverses a big slam from Harper and turns it into a DDT variation. The worn out Steve Flash manages to tag Smith who bursts into the ring and starts to demolish both opponents. Trescarde eventually goes for the briefcase, but Brandon Smith spears him outside of the ring. A dazed Harper is left in the ring where he falls victim to the Flash Kick from Steve Flash.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winners: Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Steve Flash</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">

Rock Downpour: Bulldozer Brandon Smith gets the momentum he needs going into Gang Wars and I think he sent a message to Honest Frank here.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Frank doesn't have a match tonight. He gets more time to rest. His boys did their job.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: And think about it. Marv Statler could win tonight and hold the Empire championship going into Gang Wars.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: You think he can really beat Southern Justice? You Northern boys are overconfident.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rayne Man © with Cheerleader Nicki vs The Masked Mauler</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The Masked Mauler looks like a man on a mission to get his title back and he overpowers Rayne Man and starts to work over the younger wrestler. Cheerleader Nicki tries to get the fans to rally behind the champ, but their chants do little to help. Each attempt to fight back gets stymied by the more powerful Mauler. Rayne eventually slips out of a powerslam attempt and he clips the leg of the Mauler and begins to work it over. Rayne builds up steam and the champion manages to lock in the single leg crab and makes Mauler submit</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: Mauler looked like he was about to regain his title from the man he lost it to, but it wasn't meant to be.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: He should have gone for more pins early on. I know he wanted to do damage, but sometimes it takes one mistake and this is what happens.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: A great match either way and Rayne retains. How long will it last?</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: I guess it depends on if I come out of retirement or not.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: Of course.</p><p> </p><p>

The New York Doll is in back with Roxy Kitten and he looks a bit confused and upset about something.</p><p> </p><p>

The New York Doll: A tag match? Why did you get me in a tag match? I don't even have a partner.</p><p> </p><p>

Roxy Kitten: I got you a partner and you will deal with it. I need someone that can win in more than singles matches. You won that qualifier and I bet you let it go to your head. I better see a win tonight!</p><p> </p><p>

The New York Doll looks annoyed and he just nods. He stomps off to go get ready and Roxy Kitten just gets a rather sly and evil smile as she watches him wander off.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Southern Stars vs The New York Doll and THE ARCHITECT with Roxy Kitten</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Doll looks really unsure about his partner as THE ARCHITECT has a easel outside the ring with paper along with several schematics on it that are apparently his plans on how to win the match. He assures victory and steps in the ring to immediately start getting beaten down by the former tag champs. THE ARCHITECT struggles for quite some time before he finally gets a chance to tag the Doll in. Doll does his best to try and overpower Harker and doesn't have much luck. He finally manages to take the big man down and he starts rolling when Roxy starts to distract him. She demands he tag THE ARCHITECT and Doll reluctantly does so.</p><p> </p><p>

THE ARCHITECT starts to lay in shots, but eventually the former champs gain control again. Doll is doing his best to cheer his partner on, but Roxy soon pulls him off the apron. The Doll is confused and frustrated as he asks what she is doing. Roxy just gets in a shouting match and slaps him while THE ARCHITECT is left to get beaten on and eventually put away by Tennessee William's swinging neckbreaker.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: She wants a win, but then she makes him tag out when he had things in hand and then causes him to be distracted so his partner was left to the wolves.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: I am sure she has good reasons to do that.</p><p> </p><p>

Everyone is in awe at the sight of the monster comes out to the ring. Whistler even seems hesitant, but he goes right after the big man as soon as the bell rings. Cahill easily shrugs off the blows and he starts to pummel Whistler with no remorse being shown. Whistler's size does nothing to help him as he is tossed about as if he was half his actual size. Cahill soon wraps his big hand around the throat of Whistler. CHOKESLAM!</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: Holy cow! He is massive! Who the heck is going to be able to beat that monster?</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Who said anyone will? I think we see our first King of New York</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: You might be right....oh come on now! There is no need for this!</p><p> </p><p>

The monster looks like he isn't finished as he towers over Whistler. Michael Bull tries to get him to leave the ring, but gets shoved aside with ease. Cahill hefts Whistler up again and delivers a few more big punches before a massive chokeslam once again. He just holds his arms high in the air and glares around at the crowd as if challenging anyone to come in and try to stop him.</p><p> </p><p>

The champs look unsure at the fact the two men that appear this time to challenge the champs are just as big as both Brody and Steel. They soon find they are just as tough too as The Good Ole Boys enter the ring and chaos erupts. The challengers seem to have an answer to everything the champs try through the match and seem to have both Brody and Steel reeling and looking desperate. So desperate that Brody pulls Michael Bull in between himself and Wooton Fitzapaine when Wooton looked to make a big body splash. Bull is stunned, but he manages to make the motion to disqualify the champs.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: Did we just find the team that could beat the champs?</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: If that is true they would be holding the titles.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: What!? What match were you watching. They were desperate and they got themselves disqualified.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: All that matters is they hold the gold. Not those toothless wonders.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/kKzI9ZK.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

In a dark room in the back sits a contemplative Jack Griffith. He strokes his title and never makes eye contact with the camera as he speaks.</p><p> </p><p>

Jack Griffith: So have they already run out of heroes? I face a man tonight who has success, but not like I have had. To win as a team is easier to win as an individual. Do you have what it takes, Marv Statler? If you win you get instant fame, but will you be able to handle it? Or will it overwhelm you and crush your spirit. Will all the attention cause you to go down a dark path? Marv, I will beat you tonight not because I am better, but because I am saving you from pain and misery. That is why I am Southern Justice.</p><p> </p><p>

The nerves might be getting to Statler who starts out slow and in turn finds himself being beaten on by Jack early on. The fans are getting behind him fully as time goes on and he starts to mount a comeback. Marv uses his technical prowess to start to keep Jack on the mat and take control much to the fans delight. During a struggle Jack manages to thumb Marv in the eye and stun him momentarily. The champ takes control once again and he ends up having trouble putting Statler away. The challenger just seems to keep finding the energy to kick out and he starts to mount one more comeback. Jack saves himself by avoiding a dropkick and he quickly picks up the dazed Statler. Jack hits the Southern Cross and Statler finally doesn't have the energy to kick out.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Wooooooooo boy! Southern Justice does it again!</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: The fans were behind Marv Statler and he did his best. I think in the end he showed he can hang with the champion.</p><p> </p><p>

Ernie Turner: Jack was right! He is a tag team man and that is it. No one can stop my boy. Who's next?</p><p> </p><p>

Rock Downpour: We'll find out next month! Be sure not to miss the biggest event of the year. Gang Wars!</p><p> </p><p>

It wasn't until I was finished I realized I had two matches end with DQ this event. I didn't mean that and am kicking myself for it. Enjoy everyone!</p>

It has been quite some time since The Good Ole Boys have been seen anywhere since their departure from PSW. The duo have mostly worked the independent scene trying to improve their craft when Michael Bull invited the pair to be one of the mystery teams to take on the Power Players for their NYCW tag team championship. Apparently Thimbley Langton and Wooton Fitzpaine impressed enough to be offered a longer term contract and come off as a serious challenger for the title with their DQ victory at the last show. It is being said that both men impressed Bull for their willingness to learn as well as both being very likeable and easy to get along with behind the scenes. Can the Good Ole Boys capture gold with NYCW? That still remains to be seen, but they are certainly off to a good start.</p><p> </p><p>

The other big surprise coming out of NYCW's last show is the arrival of Man Mountain Cahill who appeared and destroyed Whistler to claim a spot in The King of New York tournament. Cahill had great success in TCW, but has been rather quiet the years after his release. Michael Bull reached out to the veteran and after a try out he was quickly signed to a deal and is looking to be the last signing by the company this year for long term deals. It is being said both Bull and Vessey are impressed by how well Cahill has kept himself in shape and despite his age he doesn't look to be showing any signs of slowing down just yet. Things can get very interesting for the big man who has to be the favorite to win The King of New York tournament now.</p><p> </p><p>

Gang Wars has always been the biggest event for NYCW over the years. Fans always seem to go wild for the three on three or four on four matchups that feature all their favorite stars. In an attempt to continue to keep Gang Wars as their top show it seems Michael Bull has also decided each year Gang Wars will feature a match that pits the Empire and Tri-State Regional champions will meet for the Empire title. This year could be an interesting one given that both champions are men Bull brought in and have held their respective titles since February. It is to be understood that if the Tri-State Region champion would win the match that they would become Empire champion and be forced to vacate the Tri-State Regional championship.</p><p> </p><p>

It could be a risky move, but also could add some intrigue could be a way to find out if the current holder of the Tri-State Regional title has what it takes to be in the main event in the future.</p><p> </p><p>
