So, had the show run last night, everything apparently in order.

Go into my Word document to add in commentary and my usual details today, only to find that the document had become corrupted and I cannot access it or its contents in any manner.

So here's the plan for this week. In order to not unduly delay things any further than they already are, I'm going to rerun the entire show tonight, and the actual results posted in this thread are going to be a match summary, with maybe some highlights copied over from the match log. I'll update pages at the same time, so by tomorrow we'll be back on schedule. I'll spend the rest of the week redoing macros and the things that made it easier for me to do results, so by next show everything should be ready to go as normal.

I guess I should have expected this sooner or later; it was a three year old file with a couple hundred revisions. Just didn't expect it this soon.

Anyhow, shortened show and pages will be up tomorrow come hell or high water.

THE LEAGUE: SEASON SEVEN, WEEK TWELVE

The show opened with the four men having off this week—Nuclear, Thor, Sean, and Demonio—sitting at a Japanese bar trading stories of their times in The League. Through a series of events another patron is shoved into Thor, and a bar brawl ensues, with the four League veterans gladly taking aggression out on those who dare to face them. Looks like an exhibition match is out of the question tonight....

ALPHA DIVISION: Celeste Skye (9-0, OVR 336) vs. Scott Stevens (5-4, OVR 326)

The first seven minutes of the match belonged to Stevens. Skye could not get any offense going, and by the five minute mark it seemed as if Stevens had everything of Skye's scouted. I mean...have you ever seen an elbow drop countered into a crossface submission before? Because Stevens managed that and countering a dropkicksault into a Boston Crab within the first seven minutes.

Then Skye began one of her infamous comebacks. Momentum shifted completely on the side of the undefeated rookie as Stevens looked to weather the offensive storm. It was in vain, though, as within two minutes of taking the offensive, Skye had beaten Stevens down enough for a single Starstrucked to connect, and Skye moved into rarified air in the annals of The League by holding a 10-0 record.

BETA DIVISION: Wallbanger Jones (6-4, OVR 323) vs. Razor Sharp (3-6, OVR 311)

For the first two and a half minutes of this match, Razor looked like he could do no wrong. Banger only got one offensive move in, but otherwise it was all Razor, all the time. However, something in Banger seemed to wake up at that point, and the next couple of minutes were his, including a point at four minutes and thirty seconds into the match where somehow, he had busted open Razor behind his mask.

The confidence this gave Banger cost him a few minutes later, as Razor managed to turn the tide and regain the offensive, though he was having trouble causing much damage to his larger opponent. But he kept going at Banger, refusing to give up. It was after getting out of The Walls Came Tumbling Down that Razor found that extra oomph he needed, getting the Razor Lock applied and causing Wallbanger to tap out for the minor upset.

GAMMA DIVISION: El Super Mantis (4-6, OVR 318) vs. The Nebraskan Beast (8-2, OVR 335)

From the opening bell, The Beast took control of the match, only allowing Mantis to get a couple of moves in before reasserting his control. By the second minute, it was clear that The beast had a decided upper hand, as he kept laying into Mantis. One missed elbow drop was enough to start an attempted Mantis comeback at four minutes into the match.

The offense went back and forth over the next few minutes, with Mantis getting in what he could around The Beast's ability to shrug off attacks. The size advantage seemed to be too much, though, as Mantis was getting worn down to the point where The beast looked ready to end it with the Big Heart Punch.

Only Mantis kept getting out of the way. The crowd seemed to sense that, perhaps, another upset was in the making. Alas, it was not to be. A shrugged-off slap to chest led to an European uppercut followed immediately by a Big Heart Punch, and The Beast walked away with a win that he may not have had if the match went on another few minutes.

BETA DIVISION: The Phoenix (5-4, OVR 319) vs. Judah Snow (3-6, OVR 312)

From the opening bell, it looked like technical skill would win the day over brute force, as The Phoenix would not let up on the offense. Snow kept trying to find a way in through the technical display of Phoenix's, but kept coming up short as he got caught in a Dragon Screw Legwhip. Phoenix looked to the heavens, seemingly saying that it was time this match was over, but that was a mistake on the veteran's part as Snow rushed in and started to pummel his opponent into defeat.

Seven minutes into the contest, a Judah Snow headbutt managed to bust open Phoenix, and it seemed as if that would be the start of the downward spiral. However, Snow had taken a lot of damage earlier on, and Phoenix capitalized on that with an Implant DDT that nearly won him the match. Snow made one last-ditch effort to get back in the match with a Snow Plow, but Phoenix countered that with a forearm shiver to the face and his Blaze of Glory grapevined ankle lock. Snow had no choice but to tap, and Phoenix walked away with a hard-fought victory.

DELTA DIVISION: Diamond (2-7, OVR 307) vs. Amelia Midnight (7-3, OVR 334)

One would think after the first ninety seconds, in which neither woman got a considerable advantage, that this would be an even match and a contender for match of the night. Then Midnight stepped up her game, and Diamond struggled to work through the next few minutes as Midnight landed move after move and did not give Diamond a chance to fight back. The end came out of nowhere with a Slingshot Legdrop that netted Midnight a three-count just four minutes and thirty-seven seconds into the match, making this the shortest League match of the season by over a full minute.

ALPHA DIVISION: Deathseed5 (6-4, OVR 323) vs. Eidenhoek (3-7, OVR 310)

I wish I could say that this was a competitive bout without lying to everyone. This one wasn't even close. DS5 was still at a high energy level when he unveiled his new submission finisher, a Sharpshooter, to net the win at seven and a half minutes. Eidenhoek got all of maybe six offensive moves in during the entire match.

GAMMA DIVISION: William King (2-7, OVR 311) vs. Alex Kapranos (5-4, OVR 324)

This started as an even, back-and-forth match. A few minutes in, Kapranos got a slight advantage as he jumped to the offensive and wore King down a bit more than King could do to Kapranos. King wrested control back in the match, and managed to get in a headbutt that bloodied Kapranos. This set off a blood rage in Kapranos, who retaliated with a clothesline and a few elbow drops.

A Johnny Cage Punch stopped that comeback dead in its tracks though, as a collective groan went up through the arena as the straight right connected. From there, Kapranos couldn't get back into the match as King eventually locked in the Cthulhu Clutch (on his fourth attempt, mind) to pick up the submission victory.

DELTA DIVISION: Sakura Toyota (3-6, OVR 312) vs. Connor Blackstone (4-6, OVR 319)

In the early part of this match, it was Blackstone for the majority of it. Yes, Sakura did get some offense in, but by and large it was Blackstone who was in control. This kept up for a few minutes until Blackstone missed a leg drop. Knowing she was in trouble, Sakura started going all-out, trying to wear down her larger opponent.

It worked for a time, then Blackstone made a push to finish the match. A Done Deal attempt was escaped from, followed by a stump piledriver, and now Sakura had a chance to finish the match and escape with a win. Her shot at the Holy Hand Grenade, though, was foiled by a stiff forearm to the face. A Deal Breaker, a near fall, and a Done Deal (in that order) would end up being the difference as Blackstone emerged with a win in what would ultimately be the Match of the Night.

@CallOfKing @BITWDS5 Actually, it's a quote long attributed to Albert Einstein, but never proven to be said by him.

@CallOfKing @BITWDS5 Not that anyone would expect a walking Millennial stereotype like you to know that.

@CallOfKing @BITWDS5 You keep trying to outwit me and constantly fail, guess that makes you the insane one.

@CallOfKing Me, I'm going to not only outfight Templeton again, but in case he gets up from the Johnny Cage Special...

@CallOfKing ...I'll knock his head off with a Landon Donovan Special. #CarpeMundusPerJugulum #USMNT

Week 13 Pre-Match Interview

April 28, 2014

Sendai, Japan - Celeste Skye, her uncle, Daichi Tsukuda, and some of their family members have just arrived back at their hotel after a lengthy workout session. As the group leaves, League reporter Sophia Russell approaches the two.

Sophia Russell: Good afternoon you two. Celeste, congrats on last week's hard-fought win over Scott Stevens. After the punishment that you took last week, how are you feeling?

Celeste Skye: Well, first off, I want to thank Scott Stevens for the good match. He made me earn that match last week. He definitely did his homework as he seemed to have me figured out early on and countered my earlier attempts to establish my tempo in the match.

As for how I'm feeling, I'm still a bit sore from that crossface that he hit me with earlier in the match, but other than that, I'm okay.

SR: How were you able to come back against Stevens after he completely dominated most of the match?

CS: During the halfway point of the match, I was trying to find a way to get back into the match. I felt that if I was able to find that opening, I believed that I would be able to turn things around. After I regained control of the match, it was only a matter of time before I was able to get the win after a tough, brutal match.

SR: With the win last week, you are still 3 1/2 matches ahead of Deathseed5 for the division title and 1 1/2 ahead of The Nebraskan Beast for the best overall record. With a win later on today again Judah Snow, you will have a 4 match lead over Deathseed5 with 4 matches left and one more match to clinch the division title. As we inch closer to the end of the regular season, how important are wins this close to the playoffs?

CS: At this time of the year, every match is important. I would be lying to you if I told you there were. It's important to maintain your momentum as the season ends as it will keep me focused on the road ahead.

SR: As I mention earlier, you will be facing Judah Snow in your first specialty match of the season: A submission match. You faced him earlier in the season during an exhibition match where you submitted him. How will you look at this match?

CS: Even though I faced him earlier in the season, I feel that this will be a different match entirely due to this being a singles match. I believe that he will come out and bring everything he has tonight and I would expect nothing less. We have spent the past week training and looking at all of his matches. We are hopeful that we can find a strategy that will work and lead to a victory.

SR: Thank again Celeste for meeting me for this interview and good luck in your match against Snow tonight.

CS: Thanks.

THE LEAGUE: SEASON SEVEN, WEEK THIRTEEN

FIRST BLOOD MATCH : Thor Hammerskald (3-7, OVR 312) vs. The Phoenix (6-4, OVR 322)

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest of the night is a First Blood match! There will be no pinfalls, submissions, disqualifications, or countouts! The only ways to win are by referee stopping or by drawing first blood on your opponent!

Anthrax's "Blood" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Making sure the fans are sufficiently cowed, he climbs the steps and enters the ring, his eyes never leaving the middle of the ring as he takes off his entrance gear and holds aloft his title belt for all to see.

Amelia Williams: Introducing first, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion...Thor Hammerskald!

Bob Sinclair: And we are kicking off tonight's show with a bang, ladies and gentlemen!

Frankie Garnett: Even I can't argue that one, Bob! We get to see fat boy bleed in the first fifteen minutes of the show! Can't start much better than that!

Within Temptation's "Stand My Ground" hits the arena speakers as the former League Champion emerges from the back, through a wall of flame pyro. His face gives no emotions away as he walks to the ring, stopping at the ring steps. Turning his head to the right, he nods at his manager, who smiles back. A moment later, he slams both fists into the second-highest step before looking up the heavens with a cry of "For the Fallen" coming from his lips. With no further ado, he heads up the steps and steps between the ropes, ready to go to war once again.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, joined at ringside by Tori Montgomery, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds...this is The Phoenix!

Bob Sinclair: To say that Phoenix is at a disadvantage is an understatement. In his League career, he is a paltry 1-4 in First Blood matches.

Frankie Garnett: And that win shouldn't even count! He didn't win by making an opponent bleed!

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a loud reaction as The League's first female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: This is a Delta Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!

Frankie Garnett: So, Tori, how was it watching your boy get busted open from the locker rooms?

Tori Montgomery: Not nearly as bad as hearing your voice gloating about it.

\

Bob Sinclair: Frankie, you deserved that one.

Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" hits to a decent ovation as the youngest competitor in the history of The League emerges, letting the music give her energy as she stares down the entrance ramp at the ring. Then, with a grin and a wink towards the camera, she sprints to the ring, leaping up to slide headfirst under the bottom rope. She uses her momentum to roll to her feet and head toward the turnbuckle, climbing onto the middle rope to garner more cheers before dropping back to the mat and preparing to face her opponent.

Amelia Williams: Her opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing 101 pounds...Sakura Toyota!

Frankie Garnett: So, since no one really cares about this match, can I go to the back and—

Frankie Garnett: You can't make me talk though!

Tori Montgomery: Now, look here—

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner by pinfall, at a time of thirteen minutes and seventeen seconds...Sakura Toyota!

Frankie Garnett: I mean, seriously?! That move STILL works?

Tori Montgomery: And I liked you better when you were quiet, Frankie. Why'd you have to go and ruin it?

Bob Sinclair: Nonetheless, Sakura picks up a huge win and may still have a chance this season!

Eidenhoek (3-8, OVR 310) vs. Wallbanger Jones (6-5, OVR 323)

Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as a pair of wildly different figures emerge from backstage. In front is a dwarf, dressed for combat in a wrestling singlet, and behind him is a giant of a man, seven-feet plus (and nearly as wide). The pair walk to the ring, and the smaller man climbs up the steps and enters the ring while the giant walks around the ring once, getting a view from all angles before settling in the corner of his charge.

Amelia Williams: Our next bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied by Connor Reed, from Tanzania, weighing 102 pounds...Eidenhoek!

Tori Montgomery: Maybe it's just me, but I find it completely odd that Eidenhoek has more wins than Diamond this season.

Frankie Garnett: I hate agreeing with you, Tori, but you're right. Something is wrong with that picture.

Bob Sinclair: Eidenhoek is in for a huge uphill fight tonight; I'm not liking his chances.

Disturbed's "Warrior" begins to blare from the house speakers, heralding our next combatant the ring. Garbed in dark biker leathers with a black bandana and a pair of shades, his look clearly screams "I will break you if you so much as look at me funny." Thus, it's not surprising that most of the fans keep their hands to themselves and settle for anonymous taunts as he strolls to the ring and ducks between the ropes, gold title belt secured snugly around his waist.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the nearest road house, weighing 306 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Wallbanger Jones!

Bob Sinclair: With Phoenix losing earlier, that opens the door for Wallbanger to reclaim the Beta Division lead with a win here.

Frankie Garnett: You mean "when he wins here." We all know it's happening.

Tori Montgomery: Even with Eidenhoek known for the occasional upset?

Frankie Garnett: It's not happening tonight, Tori. You can put money on that.

The opening guitar licks of Franz Ferdinand's "Your Diary" echo through the arena as the lights dim except for a gold spotlight on the entrance way. A few seconds pass before the lyrics hit, and a few seconds after that, two men emerge from the back. The one on the right seems to be giving last-minute instructions to his companion, and as the music intensifies, they reach the ring. The manager remains on the outside, shouting encouragement as his charge enters the ring, shaking himself loose and preparing for the bout ahead.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall! Already in the ring, accompanied Aaron Aaronson, from Gloucestershire, England, weighing 202 pounds...Alex Kapranos!

As the opening builds to a crescendo, he finally makes an appearance, sneering a bit at the assembled audience as he begins his stride to the ring. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing, but it’s not just a normal level of booing. It’s a booing of pure hatred. Chris Benoit level booing as an electric guitar wails throughout the PA system and the words of Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "As I climb onto your back, I will promise not to sting. I will, tell you what you want to hear and not mean anything. Then I, treat you like a dog, as I shoot my venom in. You pretend you didn't know, that I am The Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as the instrumental after the chorus hits the speakers, drawing out "The Venomous One" Scott Stevens and his sinister, yet beautiful wife, Lisa Barbosa-Stevens. They stand at the top of the ramp and kiss each other to the delight of the crowd. Walking down the aisle, Scott talks trash the entire way while raising a fist at a few of the more vocal bashers and Lisa flicks off the ignorant fans asking her to show her boobs. As they reach the ring, Lisa kisses her husband's cheek before he finally gets to the ring. Once in the ring he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down at the crowd, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat while Lisa cheers him on.

"Celeste Skye… do you remember? Do you remember the main event of the first week? You & I are two very different people. You do this to get attention as an actor. I do this b/c I love this business. I honestly don't understand how my season has been smeared w/ mediocrity, while you've had the perfect season I should have. What's important about week 1? You beat me. If that result had been different, you'd have a blemish on that record. What I'm pointing at is that your streak started w/ me… & it's going to end w/ me. There is no doubt that we'll tear the house down next week & you'll realize that I'm the biggest threat to your unbeaten record. I'd wish you good luck, but luck is for losers. Nagano… be ready."

Week 14 Pre-Match Interview

May 4, 2014

Nagano, Japan - League reporter Sophia Russell is driving to a big mansion on the outskirts of Nagano to meet up with Celeste Skye and her uncle, Daichi Tsukuda. The mansion, which belongs to Daichi's son Yori, an actor in his own right, is serving as headquarters for the two as Celeste prepares for her match with Deathseed5.

As Sophia's car pulls into the driveway, a butler escorts her to the pool area where Celeste and her family are hanging out. Walking towards the group, Sophia motions to Celeste and Daichi to come to her to begin the interview.

Sophia Russell: Good afternoon you two. Celeste, congrats on last week's hard-fought win over Judah Snow. After the punishment that you have taken over the past two weeks, how are you feeling?

Celeste Skye: Well, first off, I want to thank Judah Snow for the good match. He pushed me as well as anyone has pushed me all season. At times during the match, I felt that he was one move away from ending it. I believe that he will be one to watch for in the future.

As for how I'm feeling, My back is still a bit sore from that all-out assault that he put me through during the match, but I will manage. His Snow Plow tackle hits like a truck by the way.

SR: How were you able to come back against Snow after he completely dominated most of the match?

CS: During the match, I tried to wear down Snow, but he was able to avoid most of my attacks early, while hitting me early and often with his moves. After he bloodied me, I lost my cool as well as control of the match and he was able to take advantage, nearly submitting me in the process.

After escaping one of his submission attempts, I managed to take control of the match and was able to, after several attempts, submit him with the Skye Lock.

SR: With the win last week and with Deathseed5 off, you've taken a 4 match lead in the Alpha Division and 2 ahead of The Nebraskan Beast for the best overall record. With a win over Deathseed this week, you will clinch the division title. As you are already in the playoffs after last week's win, do you want to finish off the regular season undefeated or are you content with just the division title and top seed in the playoffs?

CS: I would be lying to you if I tell you that finishing undefeated hasn't crossed my mind. That being said, I want to focus on my match with Deathseed5 before I think about what lies down the road.

SR: Fair enough. As I mention earlier, you will be facing Deathseed5 in what equates to a match for the division title in the main event. Before I ask you about the match, here is what he said after the show ended last week.

She gives a DVD to Yori who inserts it into his Blu-ray player.

After the message ended, the family members became furious with the message that DS5 delivered. As urging everyone to calm down, Celeste turns back to Sophia as she resumed the interview.

SR: After seeing this promo, what is your response to it and how do you feel about your match with him this week?

CS: Even though I faced him earlier in the season, I feel that this will be a different match entirely. He has improved greatly since our first match at the start of the season. I believe that he will come out and bring everything he has and I would expect nothing less. He is a good competitor who I believe will make noise in the playoffs.

That being said, he is wrong on a couple of things. First, while I did initially joined to kickstart my acting career, I also wanted to test and push myself. I feel that I have succeeded in both and will continue to do so. I feel that I can manage both of my career choices without having to choose between them. I also believe that by doing both, I feel that my time in the League has prepared me for my acting career and vice versa.

Second, you believe that you should be undefeated, yet you don't see why your record is what it is. You know the difference between us? It's not your belief in being straight-edge, but the fact that I focus on the matches at hand and don't go off and brag about what I will do to my opponent or threaten their loved ones.

You are right about a couple of things, however. You are the biggest threat to my streak at this time. You are also right in that we will put on a good show. That being said, we have spent the past week training and looking at all of your matches. We are hopeful that we will find a strategy that will work and lead to a victory and the division title.

As she finishes, her family cheers her own in the background, chanting "Celeste, Celeste."

SR: Thank again Celeste for meeting me for this interview and good luck in your match against DS5 this week.

CS: Thanks.
