So, work happened to me today. Got four of the ten matches written, then got yanked to another facility to do their work for them. Coupled with needing to get my car serviced after work and helping someone else with a computer issue (paid, thankfully), show will be up tomorrow.

We have a four star match this episode, the aforementioned blood stoppage (not the same match), and still a good bit of uncertainty heading into the final week regarding the wild card hunt.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest of the night is a European Rules match scheduled for the best two out of three falls! The match will be contested in five minute rounds, with a minute break in between each round. The first competitor to score two falls will win the match!

Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" hits to a decent ovation as the youngest competitor in the history of The League emerges, letting the music give her energy as she stares down the entrance ramp at the ring. Then, with a grin and a wink towards the camera, she sprints to the ring, leaping up to slide headfirst under the bottom rope. She uses her momentum to roll to her feet and head toward the turnbuckle, climbing onto the middle rope to garner more cheers before dropping back to the mat and preparing to face her opponent.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing 101 pounds...Sakura Toyota!

Bob Sinclair: Good evening, folks, and welcome to the penultimate week of The League's regular season! We start tonight with a European Rules match, which means we should be in for a marathon to start us off tonight!

Tori Montgomery: Considering that these style of matches run about a half hour each, a marathon sounds about right!

Queen's "Hammer to Fall" hits the speakers to a decent ovation as Britain's greatest (and admittedly, only) Luchadore emerges from the back, with his manager in tow. Adjusting his mask one last time, he nods to his manager and dashes towards the ring, slowing as he climbs the steps and somersaulting over the top rope. Landing on his feet, he gives a heartly "Ole!" (complete with heavy British accent) to the crowd, who still soak it up and cheer as his manager finally makes it to ringside.

Amelia Williams: Her opponent, accompanied to the ring by Lee Brae, from Mexico City, Mexico by way of Bristol, England, weighing 242 pounds...El Super Mantis!

Bob Sinclair: This match is solely for pride between these two, as both are eliminated from playoff contention.

The crowd starts booing, but it’s not just a normal level of booing. It’s a booing of pure hatred. Chris Benoit level booing as an electric guitar wails throughout the PA system and the words of Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "As I climb onto your back, I will promise not to sting. I will, tell you what you want to hear and not mean anything. Then I, treat you like a dog, as I shoot my venom in. You pretend you didn't know, that I am The Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as the instrumental after the chorus hits the speakers, drawing out "The Venomous One" Scott Stevens and his sinister, yet beautiful wife, Lisa Barbosa-Stevens. They stand at the top of the ramp and kiss each other to the delight of the crowd. Adelaide, Australia - League Reporter Sophia Russell arrives at Adelaide Parklands Terminal, hoping to catch sight of either Celeste Skye, her uncle Daichi, or her cousin Yori. After a few minutes, she spots the trio as they boarded the Indian Pacific train toward Sydney. As she and her cameraman try to get closer, they are stopped by security as the train begins to leave the station. Undeterred by the situation, the two headed to the airport to book a flight to Broken Hill, New South Wales in an attempt to catch up with the trio before they arrive in Sydney.

Meanwhile, on the Indian Pacific train, Celeste, her uncle and cousin had just eaten lunch and was headed back to their cabin when the all too familiar sounds of arguing began.

Yori: I told you that you were pushing her too hard. You should have listened to me. Daichi glances angrily at his son in a disapproving manner as he spoke

Daichi: She needs tough discipline if she wants to advance past the first round. Besides, she won the number one seed in the tournament, what is there to worry about?

YT: Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact that she is now on a two match winning streak with the regular season ending next week? Or the fact that her loving uncle who promised to help her become a star is instead hurting her chances instead?

DT: Are you still mad at me about me coaching you in GCW years ago? He stands up from his seat as other passengers look on

YT: I'm not mad at you about that. I'm mad that you are ruining her career just like you attempted to ruin mine, just for the sake of remaining famous.

DT: How am I ruining her career?

As the two continue their argument, Celeste seen enough.

Celeste: I have had it up to here with both of you! Just leave me alone for the rest of the trip, okay?

DT and YT: Celeste, wait a ... Before they can finish, Celeste slammed the door to their cabin.

DT: Now look at what you did?

YT: What I did, this is all your fault!

DT: My fault? His voice filling with anger. If you hadn't brought Ms. Russell to our secret training site, maybe Celeste could have won.

YT: You think that this was my fault? If you hadn't pushed Celeste past her limits early in the season, maybe she would not be in her current situation.

As the two continued, a guard arrives after one of the passengers alerted them to the uproar happening.

Guard: Excuse me, mates, but I need the two of you to calm down or else you will be kicked off at the next station. Do I make myself clear?

Daichi and Yori both looked at each other and nodded to the guard.

Guard: Well then, sit down and don't let me catch you making any kind of noise from here on out. He then heads back up front, leaving the two men still locked outside of their cabin by Celeste.

DT: See what you did? You caused a scene. I hope you're happy.

YT: Just shut up dad and enjoy the ride. He looks out the window as the train continued to Broken Hill.

Later that afternoon, at the Broken Hill Station, Sophia and her cameraman purchased tickets for the ride to Sydney. Seeing that Daichi and Yori had got off the train to get something to eat, Sophia spotted Celeste alone in her cabin, staring out of the window. As she approaches, she knocks.

Sophia Russell: Celeste? It's me Sophia. Can I come in?

CS: Sure, come in and please close the door behind you.

Sophia and the cameraman come in, shutting the door behind them as the interview begins.

SR: Good afternoon, Sophia. After suffering another loss last week, this time to El Demonio de Sangre in a hardcore match, what has to be going through your mind as we near the end of the regular season and the beginning of the playoffs?

CS: Well first off, I want to congratulate El Demonio de Sangre on getting the win. I was unable to slow him down as he was able to counter many of my moves and he was able to dominate the match in several stretches. My inability to keep up with his movements is what led me to lose to him.

SR: There appears to be a consensus among the announce crew that there appears to be flaws in your game or as Frankie Garnett stated "Kinks in the armor". With the regular season ending in Sydney next week against current champion, Thor Hammerskald, do you think that it is time to panic or that you will be able to solve your issues before the playoffs begin in two weeks in Auckland, New Zealand?

CS: I will be the first to admit that I have not been myself these past several weeks. Is it because of my uncle's training? I'm not sure. But one thing I am sure of is that I can't painc due to matches not going my way. If I am to end my losing streak, I must be totally focused on my goals, the first of which is to defeat Thor.

SR: With the top seed in this year's tourney locked up following Amelia Midnight's win over The Nebraskan Beast, will you still give it your all against Thor, knowing that you have nothing to lose or gain?

CS: Even though I have the top seed, I will not be satisfied with just the top seed. I feel that I must focus on Thor next week. Even though he will not defend his title this year, he is still a dangerous competitor and not to be taken lightly. We have looked at the tapes from all of his matches and we believe that we will come up with a strategy to defeat him in Sydney.

SR: Thank again Celeste for meeting me for this interview and good luck in ending the streak against Thor in Sydney.

CS: Thanks.

Meanwhile, back in Broken Hill, Daichi and Yori arrive back at the train station to realize that the train left them behind a few minutes ago. Their argument resurfaced again as the two now must find a way to meet up with Celeste at Sydney Central Station before the train arrives.

YT: Nice going, dad!

DT: What did I do this time?

YT: You had to start a fight didn't you? Now the train is probably halfway to Sydney with Celeste in tow.

DT: Hey, you saw how he was talking about Celeste and her losing streak. I wasn't going to let some loud-mouthed "Crocodile Dundee" poser talk bad about our family.

YT: I guess we have to fly to Sydney then. The next train won't head that way until the day of the match.

DT: Ok. Let's get on that flight.

The next day, the two managed to catch an early flight to Sydney and arrive at Sydney Central just as Celeste got off the train with MS. Russell in tow.

CS: Where were you two? i couldn't find you anywhere?

DT: It doesn't matter now, niece. What matters now is that we need to get you ready to take on Thor next week.

CS: Ok. Let's train.

The three make their way to the hotel, and for the first time since they arrived in Nagano, it seemed that everyone was on the same page.

About to run matches. I'm a day behind due to fatigue (driving two hours before dawn to get to work kind of takes it out of you).

Going to try to get them up on time, just be warned that I may have to summarize the first three matches so that the matches with playoff implications can go on fully if I start to be pressed for time.

Also, the playoffs this season will NOT be your standard 8 person tournament. I'd been trying to figure out how to better reward the divisional winners and I think I have a solution. I'll reveal that during the show. It will still be a tournament style playoff, just...slightly different.

EDIT: ...and there goes half my match running time thanks to trying to track down toilet parts for police cells. I can't make this stuff up. Still gonna try to get it all up but it's looking more and more like tomorrow. Though if it does end up that way, I won't be omitting any matches.

Auckland, New Zealand - Celeste Skye, her uncle, Daichi Tsukuda, and cousin Yori Tsukuda, arrived back at their hotel after finishing a long training session in preparation for The League Playoffs that are happening here this week. As they head into the lobby, League reporter Sophia Russell approached them.

SR: Good evening. Celeste congrats on finishing the regular season strong with a win over the current champion Thor Hammerskald. How important was it for you to get a win before the playoffs start?

CS: First off, I want to thank Thor for a good match. Even though he won't be able to defend his title, he still gave me everything he had in our match.

As for the importance of the victory, I felt that I needed to get some momentum back after losing two matches in a row. The win helped me regain my focus which I feel is needed to be able to win the playoffs.

SR: An unrelated question, how is the relationship between you, your uncle, and cousin? The last time we interviewed, they seemed to be at each other's throats?

CS: Right now, we are all on the same page. After we arrived in Sydney, my uncle and cousin both apologized to me for what happened the last two weeks.

DT: We both felt that we were responsible for what happened with Celeste the past three weeks. After we arrived and before Celeste arrived at the train station, my son and I buried the hatchet.

YT: We both talked it over and felt that we could both help to get Celeste back on track in terms of match preparedness and focus. We came to a compromise in which we both took turns training her. I worked on her focus.

DT: And I helped on training. Together we worked on a plan that ensured that not only was Celeste prepared to take on Thor, but that she wasn't worn out during the process.

SR: Impressive work you too. She then turns back to Celeste. Moving on to the playoffs, with a two mach break before you see any action, is there anyone that you wouldn't mind facing off with?

CS: To be honest, it doesn't matter who I face off with. I feel that everyone that made the field is capable of winning the championship. We will look at the videos of everyone that is in the tourney and we will work on strategies that we hope will lead us to the championship.

SR: Before I let you go, I wanted to ask you something. After looking at the history of the League Playoffs, the person with the best record has only won the championship once, the Season One Champion Breaker. Many around the League believe that finishing the season as the top seed is similar to the Madden Curse. Do you believe in the top seed curse?

CS: I don't believe in it, personally, but it is what it is. I can see why finishing with the best record is a bad thing. I mean, look at me. I won my first twelve matches, which has never happened before. Then I hit a two match slump before winning my final match. The work it took to maintain my record took a toll on me, but I hope that the extra time to recover will help me.
