Celeste Post-Match Interview

As Celeste Skye and her uncle head backstage after the match, they were greeted by a backstage reporter who asked the two a few questions.

BR: First, Celeste, congratulations on the big win in the main event tonight. How does it feel to make such an impact on your first night in The League on such a big stage?

CS: It feels good. To be honest, I felt nervous as I made my way to the ring before my uncle gave me words of advice. Even then, I felt a little jittery during the first couple of minutes before I calmed down and finished the match.

As for the match itself, it felt good to win, especially against such a quality opponent as the one I faced tonight.

BR: Speaking of which, Deathseed5 was just here a couple of minutes ago. Here is what he had to say about what happened tonight:

DS5: "I'll come out & say it. I screwed up. I took it easy b/c I was facing a GIRL & that came back to haunt me. Instead of complaining & using some excuse like Mocha Latte, I'm going to get ready for next time. Phoenix, get ready. B/c not only will I save you, but I'll put your title hopes on Comatose. & Skye, the next time we meet, I'll put you in the hospital like Mocha Latte. Now get out of my face w/ that." -DS5 postmatch

(The camera then focuses back on Celeste and her uncle who is fuming at the mouth after seeing the video)

BR: Celeste, what is your response to his message?

(As Celeste begins to answer, her uncle Daichi Tsukuda takes the mic away from her and begins speaking)

DT: Hey Deathseed or whatever your name is. First off, for someone claiming to be "The best in the world", you sure didn't seem like it tonight. Secondly, for you to suggest that you took it easy on my niece is not only an insult to her, but to me as well. I'll have you know that Celeste is just as talented as you, maybe even better than you and I'll be dammed if you think that you just had an off-night or that you went easy on her. Finally, if I was you, instead of making idle threats to my niece about how the rematch will go, you should be concerned about your next opponent who is a former League Champion might I add. (He then storms off-screen as the camera focuses back on Celeste who appears to be a bit embarrassed about what just went down.)

BR: Celeste, shifting to next week's match with reigning champion, Thor Hammerskald, how will you prepare for such a challenge this early in your career?

CS: Well, I plan to look over his match from earlier tonight with my uncle and then come up with a good strategy. It'll be a tough task for sure going up against the current champion and one of the founders of The League, but I will do my best and hopefully it will lead to a win.

I'm going to try to get the show up tonight. Impending weather may throw a wrench into the plans due to emergency overtime, but I'm still going to try regardless.

Edit: about to run matches after getting all updates into database. Just realized I forgot to make picks myself. D'oh!

Must say though that I'm not sure I've ever seen so many one-sided predictions for matches in The League's history.

Turning towards the ring, he immediately makes his way towards it, stopping every now and then to talk smack to those in the crowd he feels are beneath him. As he finally reaches the ring, he climbs one of the turnbuckles, flashing a straight-edge sign as he climbs down into the ring and sits against the turnbuckles, ready to save another opponent.
