CVerse from 1977 to 2013

Recommended Posts

I felt that this deserved it's own thread, mainly due to the large amount of data and facts I feel need sharing.

Over the past month or so, my laptop has been whirring away doing a simulation from CVerse 77 right up until 2013, I've been away from my computer a lot and that's why it didn't take an extremely long time, as usually it was the only thing running.

Firstly, here are all the current promotions that are Cult, National and one International, together with their upper midcard and main event, their golden ages, and any explanations I feel are necessary.

CULT

BHOTWG

Upper Midcard: Akihiro Ishikawa, Blast Ikoma, Burning Takashita (Burning Exile), Edo Phoenix II, Eisaku Kunomasu, Golden Scorpion, Heihachiro Sakai, Jimmy Cox, Kanishoki, Kenta Matsuo, Koji Kojima, Koki Ishibashi, Nariaki Hitomi, Nichiren Amagawa, Rusher Kogo, Sotatsu Sarumara, Tadakuni Toshusai, The Great Hisato, Yasuhiko Taira

Main Event: Chojiro Kitoaji, Eien Miyamoto, Elemental III, Hiroaki Nakasawa, Kalu Owusu, Kansuke Konda, Kinnojo Horri, Koshiro Ino, Li Bingci, Nissho Yuasa, Rogue, Seiji Jimbo, Sensational Dragon, Tetsunori Yasuda, Tommy Cornell, Tribal Warrior, Tsurayuki Kamachi, Yuki Horigoshi

Golden Ages: 77-86 (Connor Thompson, Derek Barnes, Elemental, Hito Ichihara, Kazuo Mitsushi, Kenji Fukamura, Kiba Izumi, Master Kitozon, Noriyoshi Sanada, Robbie Gordon, Ryusei Kanai, Seison Yamanaka, Toshiro Saito, Yasunari Koga)

Explanation: Jack Giedroyc never even worked in the USA, working in the UK until 2003 when, after many Japanese tours, BHOTWG picked him up. Tommy Cornell managed less than three years in the USA until BHOTWG took him onboard in 1999. BHOTWG seem to have a very youth-biased owner and booker, as over two thirds of their roster debuted less than 9 years ago, and so they have picked up most of the youth that should be in PGHW. Only just came down from National. Rely on Tommy Cornell way too much.

EWF (European Wrestling Federation)

Upper Midcard: Jake Panic, Joss Thompson, The Fresh Prince of Belarus (Sergei Kalashnov), White Knight

Main Event: Louis Figo Manico, Phillip Cooper, Samoan Machine, Simon Flemmingway

Golden Age: Now

Explanation: Just a gradual rise through the ranks, helped very much by the debut of Louis Figo Manico. Still not sure why Samoan Machine is there but he is really helping them out.

GCW (Gulf Coast Wrestling (Mexico))

Upper Midcard: Asesino De La Espada, DeCipher, Ketsueki Karasu (Blood Raven), La Sombra Jr, Mexican Lion, Slayyer, UK Dragon

Main Event: Cazador, Cique Jr, Demon Seed, Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr, El Alborotador Confiado, El Hijo Espada Roja, Rick Law, The Wizard of Ottawa

Golden Age: 2009 (Atlantis Jr, Enrique Merino, Fallen Angel, Gino Montero, Mexican Beast, Rebelde Loco, Slayyer, Velocidad)

Explanation: Abundance of Mexican talent, no idea why Rick Law is there.

INSPIRE

Upper Midcard: Eagle Kawasawa, Lobster Warrior, Lone Rider, Sayeed Ali, Sojuro Sen, Yasunobu Masuno

Main Event: Billy Russell, Cameron Vessey, Emerald Angel, John Maverick, Tadiyuki Kikkawa, White Samurai

Golden Age: Now

Explanation: A large amount of foreign workers and I’m unsure why. Cameron Vessey barely worked in the USA before touring Japan until INSPIRE signed him in 2010, aged 23.

JWW (Japanese Women’s Wrestling)

Upper Midcard: Devil Karube, Kit Hatoyama, Kristabel Plum, Suzue Katayama, Tsuki Kawamata

Main Event: Dragon Assassin, Queen Amazon, Shiori Jippensha, Vera Grimm (Alpha Female), Yori Toyoshima

Golden Age: 80-85 (Chiba Chiba, Heidi Brooks, Mecha Yukiko, Nakamura Miharu, Sakurako Kagawa, Tsuyeha Taheda, Yumi Yoshikuni)

Explanation: Only still cult due to the past (see above). Probably going to fall down soon when they are poached by BHOTWG:W

LLMW (Lucha Libre Mexican Wrestling)

Upper Midcard: El Jaguar, El Sucio, Jet Stream (Jacob Jett), Kirk Jameson, Mexican Ghoul, Snap Dragon

Main Event: Dr Rudo, Europea, Hypnotiq Jr, La Estrella, Lobo Blanco, Matt Hocking

Golden Age: Now

Explanation: Abundance of Mexican talent. Jacob Jett often makes it to Mexico in my long-ish games.

MFLL (Mexican Federation de Lucha Libre)

Upper Midcard: Del Muerto (?), El Serpiente, Huracan Sandoval Jr, Luchador Original, Pirata Malvado

Main Event: Adonis, Amazing Fire Fly, Amo Del Gato, El Heroe Mexicano, Spanish Superfly

Golden Age: Now

Explanation: Abundance of Mexican talent. Really excited for this promotion as Amazing Fire Fly, El Heroe Mexicano and El Serpiente are three of my favourite luchadors in the game (all they need now is El Mitico Jr). Adonis only just moved from CWF in December 2012, and I don’t know why.

SWF

Upper Midcard: Colin Kennedy (?), Randy Bumfhole, Reece Clark, Skull DeBones, The Natural, The Walk (Monty Walker), Wolf Hawkins

Main Event: Bruce the Giant, Eddie Peak, Eric Eisen, Giant Tana, Jack Bruce, The Big Easy, Zimmy Bumfhole

Golden Age: 82-92 (Angus McCloud, Brick Fantana, Corporal Doom, Dancin’ Rick, Flapjack Flanagan, Hollywood Mike Kinsey, Mayhem Midden, Micky Starr, Powerhouse Patterson, Sid Streets, Teddy Flame, The Night Rider)

Explanation: An inability to sign young talent has been SWF’s downfall, but now things are looking up with the Bumfholes and Wolf Hawkins rising up the ranks. Could be interesting to see how this develops.

USPW

Upper Midcard: Buddy Garner, Canadian Cat (Owen Love), Phillip Roberts, Robbie Retro, Steve Frehley

Main Event: Chance Fortune, Dermot O’Logical, James Hernandez, Mean Jean Cattley, Nicky Champion

Golden Age: 08-09 (Buddy Garner, Eddie Peak, Gentleman James King, Mean Jean Cattley, Phillip Roberts, Roy Stephens (?), Sean Deeley)

Explanation: Owned by Buddy Garner. I have no idea how Dermot O’Logical got to be that good but he did.

NATIONAL

BHOTWG:W (Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Goddesses)

Upper Midcard: Geena the Warrior Princess, Karen Bilous, Saeko Hiroyuki, Speedy Marie, Tamara McFly

Main Event: Alicia Strong, Ikuko Temko, Jillian Jarvis, Joanne Rodriguez, Raven Nightfall

Golden Age: Now

Explanation: Basically they just sign whoever are the best female workers and then build them up. Probably one of the best pieces of AI Booking I’ve seen.

CPW (California Pro Wrestling)

Upper Midcard: DC Rayne, Fujiyama the Samurai, Greg Wright (Greg Black), James Prudence

Main Event: Brady Prince, Darryl Devine, John Greed, Steven Parker

Golden Ages: 82-87 (Darrin Dreamweaver, Chief Two Eagles, Crippler Ray Kingman, Extraordinario, Fujiyama the Samurai, Jason Jackson, Luis Montero, Preston Holt, Tito Bumfhole), 06-09 (Brady Prince, Darryl Devine, Harry Allen, James Prudence, John Greed, Sammy Bach, Steven Parker), Now

Explanation: I have no idea. Not a clue. They just pushed Allen, Bach, Devine, Greed, Parker, Prince and Prudence very slowly over a three year period and now they are all stars (except Bach, who is declining).

GCG

Upper Midcard: Death Monkey (Hell Monkey), Jack Marlowe (Jungle Jack), Kill Switch (Frankie Perez), Mabuchi Furusawa, Mokuami Maita, Richard Blood, Sean Deeley, SUKI

Main Event: Golden Koiso (Pride Koiso), Hiroyasu Gakusha, Mito Miwa, Naonobu Murkami, Sean McFly, Tasuku Iesada, Wael Hossam, Yoshimi Mushashibo

Golden Ages: 77-86 (Genei Konda, Hanshiro Furusawa, Harumi Shinomori, Koryusai Kitoaji, Motoicho Arakida, Ryusei Kanai, Sadaharu Jimbo, Satoru Sugimura, Tasuku Nandaba, Yoshifusa Maeda, Yoshinaka Toshusai), 02-Present (Eisaku Hoshino, Masafumi Machida (Elemental II), Shimedzu)

Explanation: PGHW were not around to sign any of their would-be big names, and this is what happened. The most overpowered company in existence. Sean McFly was only in the game world for four months until his first tour with BHOTWG, and only returned to the USA in July 1993 and May 1994 to July 1995, before being signed to a written deal with GCG. Wael Hossam just seemed to happen, he got a tour with GCG after only two months in game and remained in Japan bouncing between tours for BHOTWG and GCG until in July 2005 GCG signed him to a written.

HGC (now TCW)

Upper Midcard: JJ Coles, Joey Poison, John McClean (Squeeky McClean), Kurt Laramee, The Guru

Main Event: Flex (Frederique Antonio Garcia), Joe Money (Joe Sexy), Lord Geoffrey Windameer (Aristocrat), Lumberjack Terry (Stink), Thom Barrowman (Guide)

Golden Age: None

Explanation: Apparently the top company world-wide, yet can barely scrape an A rated match, with only 3 possible workers capable of a B+ (Flex, Joe Money and Lord Geoffrey).

MPWF

Upper Midcard: Axxis Jr, Fallen Angel, Gino Montero, Hombre De la Energia, Mayan Idol, Rebelde Loco, Tijuana Vampire

Main Event: Antonio Maxi Marquez (Champagne Lover), El Fuerza, El Leon, Electrico, Marcos Flores, Nicolas Lopez, Ultimate Phoenix

Golden Ages: 85-88 (Border Patrol, El Mago, El Mitico, Estrella Argentina, La Sombra, LAPD, Luis Montero, Mr Lucha, Payaso, Quasar), 98-04 (Carlos Arroyo, El Bandito, El Demonio, Luis Montero, Mayan Idol, Spanish Superfly, Ultimate Phoenix), Now

Explanation: Would definitely also be the number one Mexican promotion using Default CVerse with this roster. Practically unstoppable in Mexico.

SOTBPW

Upper Midcard: Atlantis Jr, Cosmic Rider, Mario Heroic, Pablo Rodriguez

Main Event: Asiatico, Championa Jr, Skeeter Colquhorn, Velocidad

Golden Age: Now

Explanation: Abundance of Mexican talent. Pablo Rodriguez and some steals from MPWF could easily make them contenders.

INTERNATIONAL

CWF (Canadian Wrestling Federation)

Upper Midcard: Chris Caulfield, Joey Minnesota, Nate Johnson, Ray Diaz, The Mad Russian (Vin Tanner)

Main Event: Bryan Holmes, Dan Stone Jr, Rich Money, Steve DeColt, Valiant

Golden Ages: 78-87 (Canadian Superstar (Jackson Andrews), Chandler Baker, Dan Stone, George DeColt, Jean-Pierre Baptiste, Karl Hendrichs, Kenny Maynard, Red Falcon, Teddy Flame, Whipper Spencer Marks, World Class Wilson), 96-02 (Archie Judge, Ben Michaelson, Dan Stone Jr, Dave Billington, Demon Spite, Ed Monton, Jacoby Jones, Kenny Maynard, Kid Condor, Lee Bennett, Rafael Ruiz, Rory McCallum, Sam Keith, Steve DeColt, The Mad Russian, Tom Gilmore)

Explanation: Basically the same as NOTBPW is now, but with an even better roster. Definitely the best promotion in North America. Probably also the most consistent promotion in the world, having never dropped from National since February 1992. Every few months they go up to Global and then drop to International again.

<p>And finally, some random information that I found interesting</p><p> </p><p>

The Bostom Bomber had 32 reigns of the Championship Wrestling from Boston title, each of around 12 defences.</p><p>

Haruki Kudo booked IJW and BBW instead of working for a big company</p><p>

Nobuatso Tatsuko books NWF instead of working for a big company</p><p>

Optimus owned BHOTWG:W instead of wrestling for any company (EDIT: just realised he retired after a Shattered Knee in 1990)</p><p>

Tadiyuki Kikkawa books TC3 instead of working for a big company</p><p>

The TWL roster contains one wrestler, 49 year old Land Mass at Enhancement Talent</p><p>

Matthew Keith owns WPL so probably won’t work for a big company</p><p>

The British Isles had a few A* rated matches: Daniel Black Francis defeated Joss Thompson (X2), Joss Thompson defeated Merle O’Curle, Daren Miller defeated Edward Monroe (1987)</p><p>

Europe had a few too, but they were all Fadzaev vs Sabra Man</p><p>

Australia has had one: Seeker defeated Swoop McCarthy</p><p>

Mike Watson is a star in Japan, but had been unemployed for over a year</p><p>

Sam Strong never made it to a Cult or larger company, except two tours in BHOTWG, preferring to own multiple different regional companies until his death in May 2011</p><p>

Sam Keith never made it to a major title, always stuck in the Upper Midcard of APWF and then CWF</p><p>

Rip Chord rapidly faded away after leaving TWL after only two years to own Toronto Total Wrestling</p>

<p>I'm curious to what kind of career Terry Lambert ended up having post-APWF.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Also, this reminds me that I need to go back to working on that, uh, project... I've been working on... in regards to a certain something. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

COMMENTARY:

Closed promotions: LLMW, MPWF, SOTBPW, SWF

BHOTWG's new booker (Lioness Mushashibo) saved them from death by cutting down the roster hugely, signing her namesake Yoshimi Mushashibo and pushing the young guys like Kitoaji, Jimbo and Okamoto.

HGC can manage A rated matches now, put only due to plundering the ruins of SWF. USPW actually look like a more serious contender based on their star power and skill level of that star power.

MFLL have almost my perfect Mexican main event, replace Flores with Extraordinario Jr and it would be absolutely perfect.

The collapse of LLMW, MPWF and SOTBPW has left lots of unemployed Mexican talent, including Champagne Lover, El Leon and Electrico.

End of year awards:

Wrestler:

13: Mito Miwa

14: Yoshimi Mushashibo (8)

15: Wael Hossam (3)

16: Tommy Cornell

14: GCW El Dia Nacional de Lucha (92)

15: GCG Parade of Champions (92)

16: GCW Dia de los Muertos (95)

13: Mito Miwa defeated Wael Hossam (99)

14: Mito Miwa defeated Golden Koiso (99)

15: SUKI defeated Mito Miwa (99)

16: El Serpiente defeated El Mitico Jr (99) (<3)

Inductions into Hall of Immortals: Dave Billington, Mito Miwa, Ultimate Phoenix, Vin Tanner

EDIT: I'm going to have to keep simulating this, I'm excited to see what happens with CPW and MFLL

COMMENTARY:</p><p>

Closed promotions: BHOTWG, GSW, GCW, INSPIRE, PWMAX</p><p>

The three main australian promotions (ARW, KCCW and SHW) can all put on A* matches with different talent.</p><p>

No idea why JWW are national, they had one B rated match last year...</p><p>

In BHOTWG's fifth last show they held their first 100 rated match (and MOTY) in almost 25 years (Tommy Cornell defeated Koshiro Ino)</p><p>

Stars that are unemployed include: Champagne Lover, Emerald Angel, Koshiro Ino, Li Bingci, Paul Steadyfast, Razan Okamoto, Tom Gilmore and Yoshimi Mushashibo (most due to the collapse of BHOTWG)</p><p>

The Golden Canvas Train almost stopped until BHOTWG went bankrupt, and now it is unstoppable again.</p><p> </p><p>

End of year awards:</p><p>

Wrestler:</p><p>

17: Yoshimi Mushashibo (9)</p><p>

18: El Mitico Jr</p><p>

Company:</p><p>

17: BHOTWG (8)</p><p>

Match:</p><p>

17: Golden Koiso defeated Death Monkey (100)</p><p>

18: Tommy Cornell defeated Koshiro Ino (100)</p><p>

<p>Wow, nice work. I did a sim game with the CV 1997 data and I thought that took a long time, but that's nothing compared to your game.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm probably blind, but where do I get the CV77 data for TEW2013? I tried searching the forums and I couldn't find anything, did you get the 2010 mod and convert it or is there a TEW 2013 thread I'm just missing?</p>
