- How's it going everybody, Bryan Alvarez, Figure Four Daily, March 29th 2000! Today I have a very special guest, the WCW commissioner - Roddy Piper!

- Thanks for having me.

- Mr. Piper, what's going on?

- Not much. We're preparing for a Spring Stampede pay-per-view, which will be held in Calgary. Should be a great show.

- What's going on in the world title picture? Hulk Hogan wants his match with Bret Hart, Sid Vicious goes after the title, Benoit is not done with "Hitman" too. Who's the number one contender?

- There is no official challengers for Hart's title for Spring Stampede yet, but I assure you that after next Nitro the main event will be decided. I give my preference to Benoit, he is from Canada, he produces great matches and has an unfinished business with Bret.

- Let me say that their matches have been 5 star rated by Dave Meltzer, and we all look forward for that decisive match between Hart and Benoit!

- Dave Meltzer? Never heard of him... To be fair to Hogan and Sid, I won't just give away Benoit his third ppv title shot in a row. He meets Ken Shamrock on Monday, and if he can make it, then there will be Hart vs. Benoit III!

- Wow, Chris Benoit against Ken Shamrock!? On Nitro!?

- You are absolutely right.

- ...I'm speechless! That is an incredible match for a TV-show. You think Chris Benoit has what it takes to defeat "The Most Dangerous Man On The Planet"?

- We'll see. They called him "Crippler" in ECW, so he must be a tough nut to crack. Should be a decent debut for my enforcer...

- You will beat Raw in ratings with that one, no doubt about that! Your thoughts on Wrestlemania 16?

- Can I swear?

- If you want to...

- Wrestlemania 16 sucked ass. Big Show squashed Chris Jericho to retain the title, what a joke! I know Chris, he is a smart guy, but after I watched the match, I'm not so sure about that. He made a huge mistake when he jumped ship. Could of been in the Benoit's place now...

- Indeed. What else we should know about the upcoming Nitro?

- I divided roster by half, one will wrestle in Puerto Rico on Monday, and the other should pack a house in Hawaii on Thursday. It is my pleasure to split NWO, Revolution and all those gangs for at least a couple of days, you know.

- Apart from Benoit - Shamrock, what is waiting for us on Monday?

- Well, the TV title is coming back, so I booked two matches already. Mike Rotunda meets Mike Sanders and Bam Bam Bigelow fights Evan Karagias.

- Nothing personal between you and those youngsters?

- No, of course not. I'm a fair commissioner. If you're interested, the only match that has to do something with personal grudges is Terry Funk against Hugh Morrus. Hugh showed a lot of loyalty to me, so I let him bring the hardcore title back where it belongs.

- To Mike Awesome?

- Are you dumb? To me of course! Funk stole it from me, and only then from Mike Awesome! Belt belongs to WCW, which is under my control.

- Okie-dokie. Anything else?

- You are a strange fella, you know that? Have you ever seen a Nitro with four matches? Of course there's more! Nash asked to have a piece of Booker T, you see, he wants to show to everybody what the true friendship is. How romantic! Big Kev gloated that he will kick Booker's ass to please Scott Hall, and I wish him luck in that. That young man has some fire in him, just look in his eyes! This will be a very close bout, I suppose.

- That's five matches already, surely that's all!

- Are you in rush?

- No...

- THEN CALM THE HECK DOWN! I have a flare for booking, and it would be a bad thing to give people only one-on-ones. Malenko and Saturn are going to match up with the returning Guerrero's, Eddie and Chavo, in a non-title match. That will put them in their place!

- But Eddie Guerrero is wrestling for NWA Wildside this Sunday. Same with Benoit! Wrestling on Sunday in Georgia, than going to Puerto Rico to wrestle for you. In the main event against Ken Shamrock! That's rough...

- Couldn't care less. They wanted to come back and they got it. Quite frankly I would be very surprised if Benoit could last for 10 minutes against Shamrock. So to be a little bit human loving, those two matches would have time limits! Hell, I'm too kind!

- Undoubtedly...

- I'm finished. Are you?

- If you say so.

- We should make it a weekly thing. What's your name again?

- Bryan Alvarez, sir.

- I'll see you on Wednesday, kid. Bring some whiskey too!

Poor Evan.

Hard one,Rotunda's time is clearly passed but Sanders isn't over enough to take victory.

To build Eddie for Main Event,i hope?

Booker T vs. Kevin Nash

I think Booker will get his revenge in much bigger stage.

Chris Benoit vs. Ken Shamrock

Tough one to call, but i don't think main event will be 1 vs 1 at Spring Stampede and this is beginning of the build.

Kevin Nash is lone tonight. Nobody from the New World Order, not a soul! "Big Sexy" finds himself in an unfamiliar position, he feels uncomfortable. It looks like Big Kev is an extrovert, so he wastes no time and comes out to the ring, slowly, to talk with fans and soak in attention. Halting Nash smugs, grabs the microphone and tells that Piper had fun on that internet radio show, didn't he? Roddy mentioned that Nash issued Booker T a challenge for tonight, and the so-called "MVP of WCW" has to accept it. "Rowdy" was right about Nash whooping Booker's ass, but made a mistake taunting the Clique. Kevin states that Piper should be doing the paper work, not making a stand up comedy... but to be fair, Roddy is good at jokes. He's one himself!

Roddy Piper once again interrupts the inaugural speech of the night. With his enforcer Ken Shamrock aside, Piper power walks to the ring. The commissioner takes a microphone from the ring announcer, and starts to have fun with people who bought tickets. Shamrock drills Kevin Nash with his sight, he's ready to explode. Piper mocks Nash about being the ballast not only for the company, but also for his own "family". Piper reminds Nash about the night when Bret Hart doubted he needs "The Outsiders" in his gang or not. "Rowdy" is sure that Hall and Nash would be the first ones to be out of NWO, because Bret Hart is not Hulk Hogan. "Hitman" is a bitter man, he will be searching for a scapegoat after he drops the title. Luger just entered the stable, nobody cares about Konnan, Flair is smarter than Kev, so he's always around the champion, and Steiner is just a psycho nobody wants to mess with. Piper predicts that Nash will end up like Jeff Jarrett, and it's only the matter of time when it happens.

Hulk Hogan! Crowd popped for the wrestling icon, but he did not care. He just entered the ring, and demanded a punishment for Kevin Nash, because he was one of those many who attacked him last week! Also Hogan wants to be proclaimed as the number one contender, without any stupid contract signings, brother! Benoit? That vanilla midget gets the third pay-per-view main event match in a row? Is this the direction company heading into? They really expect Chris Benoit to draw TV ratings on Monday? WWF would get the victory in Monday Night Wars after five minutes, jack! The way to beat Vince's federation is to book Bret Hart against Hulk Hogan for the world heavyweight title at Spring Stampede, dude! That's best for business!

Now Benoit is coming out! People are happy to see him again. "Crippler" rolls in the ring with a microphone already in his hand. Benoit says that he's sick of this talk show! Benoit is sick of Kevin Nash, he's sick of Hulk Hogan, but Bret Hart beats all of them easily, when it comes to irritation! Benoit claims that he will prove everybody wrong tonight, tomorrow and any give night of the year! He won't quit until he gets the big gold belt! Piper reminds Crippler that his opponent is Ken Shamrock, the ex-UFC champion! "The Most Dangerous Man" quickly steps up to bump nose-to-nose with "The Rabid Wolverine"! Heavy stare down, they are ready to tear each other apart!! Benoit whispers something to Ken, and they turn at Hogan and Nash respectively! Suplexes to everybody! Three germans to Hogan, two belly-to-belly's for Nash! Time to wrap it up, gentlemen! Benoit locks a "Crippler Crossface" on Hulkster, Shamrock twist Kev's leg in the Ankle Lock!! Both tap out, oh my goodness! Piper's triumph is a big one, he fooled everyone yet again! 88/100 (B+)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Evan Karagias in 6:03 by pinfall with a Bam Bamsault. 46/100 (D)

Evan had no chances in here. Triple B is legitemately twice heavier than Karagias, and it helped him a lot. Easy tune in match for "The Beast From The East", he is in the semis already! Next!

http://i58.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0324/e6/15db11c0b96fb66df2b6aed659bb86e6.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0324/85/a1a1999c1ee7d95cc1fde7f45663f085.jpg

Kevin Nash is in a bad shape to fight young and hungry Booker T tonight - he can't make two steps with his right foot! Doctor asks if Big Kev had problems with his legs before? "No, never in my life". Doctor says Big Kev just pulled a muscle, not a big thing. He can have some z-pak If he wants to... "Big Sexy" calls doc a lazy **ck and leaves the room in pain. He bumps right into Sid Vicious. "Look where are you going, bonehead!! I'm hurt!" - Nash yells. "You're not hurt, big guy..." - Sid replies, and starts a backstage brawl with the "Big Daddy Cool"!! Vicious spears Nash into some boxes, punches him in the head a couple of times and then finds a lead pipe on the floor. "Psycho" mentions that Kev holds his knee cap, and smashes the pipe right across it! That is painful to watch! "NOW you are hurt, pal!"... Sid took out his anger on Kevin, he still remembers that Hogan screwed him out of his championship victory! 79/100 (B)

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Mike Rotunda defeated Mike Sanders in 7:24 by pinfall with a Stock Market Crash. 46/100 (D)

Dublicate match, just a formality. Piper rewarded those workers for loyalty, after they stepped up to take Sid's shots for the commissioner! Was it worth it? The World Television championship is a big one. It guarantees the champion his rightful 15 minutes of on-screen work, so some mistreated fighters should form an opposition to take out bosses favorites.

Eddie and Chavo Guerrero knock in Piper's door. They just wanted to know when their rematches against Konnan and Jushin Liger are going to take place, but got yelled at for being rude. Siblings leave the office, and meet Jimmy Hart, who's talking on the phone with somebody. "The Mouth of the South" says he'll call back, and asks Guerreros for a minute of their time. Neither Eddie nor Chavo are interested in talks after Piper, but Hart guarantees that he'll talk Ted Turner into what they want. Any stipulation, any opponent, any time...

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Hugh Morrus defeated Terry Funk in 7:48 by pinfall after Mike Awesome knocked Funk out with a chairshot. 52/100 (D+)

Hugh covered Funker for the one-two-three, while Mike Awesome grabbed the belt and walked off. "Excuse me! That belt is now mine!" - Morrus roared. Awesome couldn't believe his ears, what a swine Hugh Morrus is! "Roddy Piper ordered to bring this title back to him, imme..." - Mike cracked a chair one more time, even stronger this time! Finally the belt is on his shoulder! Roll up from Funker!! One, two, THREE! WE HAVE A NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION! Guess who is joining the party? Sid with a lead pipe in his hand! Vicious blasts it across Awesome's nape to let "The Hardcore Icon" get away with the strap! 64/100 (C)

Let's relax and watch some peaceful advertising. Waterfalls, blue sky, green grass, fresh air. Taco Bell, condoms, anti-diahrrea pills... WWF.

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0324/9b/7a29aa41287fb6fb6c722f02aecae29b.jpghttp://i60.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0324/24/195719f020d4eeae2165c0914a758924.jpg

We come back to Nitro with Shane Douglas on the stage with "Mean Gene". "The Franchise" hypes his creation - "The Revolution" faction! Shane says that the WCW tag titles are just the first step in his plan to take control over this company! "The Chosen One" also holds a meaningful title - the United States one. Douglas promises to Double J that the title will stay where it belongs for as long as he wants. Also, there's a TV title tournament, huh? You would expect Steven Regal to take part in it? Then you're wrong! Regal boycotts that low-tier fights organized by a corrupted evil Roddy Piper is. Revolution doesn't care who Ted Turner wants to see as champions, they will decide their fate on their own! 55/100 (C-)

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0324/ff/7272108a14ab98e3eb582b55d9a387ff.png

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Los Guerreros defeated The Revolution in 9:45 when Eddie Guerrero defeated Perry Saturn by pinfall with a Frog Splash. 68/100 (C+)

Great match from these four, but we did not expect anything less than that. Disappointed Shane Douglas pointed out that this bout was a non-title one, so Guerrero's won nothing. They always win the fights that doesn't matter, but fail when it's time to show who is the man! "Mark my words, latinos, Booker T will defeat Nash tonight only because Malenko stretched that old man on Thursday! Mark my words!"

Booker T stands in front of a big mirror, motivating himself up. "I'm da MVP of WCW! I'm da top dawg! I'm a fyucha hall of famer, sucka! Maybe even the next world heavyweight champion! Perhaps I'll have two or three reigns as the holder of the big gold belt. Yeah... That's right! Maybe even five time, or six time? Screw it, Booker, we'll go after Flair's record, he started his world title thing pretty late too... TWENTY TIMES! Oh yeah, man, I can feel it! Time to kick some ass, champ! Let's go!" 72/100 (B-)

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0324/48/ebe8cf7ba1fc60b0be06bc3b6b0a5e48.png

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Booker T defeated Kevin Nash in 7:33 by pinfall with a Scissors Kick. 62/100 (C)

Booker strategically used Kevin's weakness - injured knee cap. After stretching it for a couple of minutes Booker smashed a Scissors Kick right when Nash struggled to get back on his feet. Worth mentioning is a set up for the finisher - Booker reversed a Jacknife Powerbomb into a huge DDT! Can we call that an upset? Or maybe people underestimate Booker T as a main event competitor? His time is definitely now, Booker is unstoppable at the moment! Trish and Buff should be proud, as Booker ends his night with a spinaroonie for all those fans in the building!

When a man's heart is full of deceit, it burns up, dies, and a dark shadow falls over his soul...

Right before the main event Hulk Hogan is leaving the area pissed off. He did not get his dream match against Bret Hart, he's not the number one contender yet, he tapped out to a guy who is his number one rival. A bad day in the office for Hulkster. But it's over already! Piper waves off to Hogan, saying good bye. Look who is going after him! Sid! Is this a car chase? 88/100 (B+)

Piper makes his final entrance of the night. Commissioner wants every fan to know that Hulk Hogan is banned from the ringside, so nobody should disturb the main event. There will be special rules for this fight, though. The following match will have three rounds, each round no more than 5 minutes duration, with a rest period of 1 minute between each round.

Introducing first, this man is a mixed martial artist, standing six feet tall, weighting 212 pounds, fighting out of Reno, Nevada, United States. KEN "THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS MAN" SHAMROOOCK!!!

And now introducing his opponent, this man is a pro wrestler, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighting 220 pounds, fighting out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, CHRIS " THE CRIPPLER" BENOOOIT!

And when the action begins our referee in charge - Charles Robinson.

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0324/ba/e768984845dd6f855bab28444e41f6ba.png

In a bout that featured great action and good heat, Chris Benoit drew with Ken Shamrock in 15:00. 81/100 (B)

This was a hard-hitting, takedown filled contest with plenty of submissions! Chris Benoit is still the number one contender on Bret Hart's world heavyweight championship! The final fight will take place at Spring Stampede, in Calgary. Thanks for choosing us, don't watch WWF!

Final Rating: 79/100 (5.13 on TNT)

This show has increased our popularity in 8 regions.

On RAW Y2J defeated Brock Lesnar, Big Show beat Triple H and HBK knocked Kane out with a Sweet Chin Music. They got 6.55!

WCW Thursday Thunder Preview on Figure 4 Radio

http://i59.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0322/48/ab049b44df4c50467a4898bccc8ecd48.jpghttp://i57.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0322/af/2a2605ba7babcd005d7c96ba00b362af.jpg

- How's it going everybody, Bryan Alvarez, Figure Four Daily, April 5th 2000! For the second time in Figure 4 Radio history we welcome Roddy Piper on our show!

- Hey-hey-hey! You brought me some whiskey, boy?

- Yes sir, I did!

- Where's the bottle?

- Right over there, I hid it from my co-workers...

- What a nice fella, hand it over!

- You're gonna drink it right now?

- Is that a problem? *gulp*

- ...No, I guess not. Just let me find a glass.

- Don't bother, I like to drink it this way. I'm not Steven Regal, thank God, so I don't have to fool around just for the sake of manners.

- Gotcha. Let's talk about past Monday Nitro. You had two qualifiers from the Television title tournament, a hardcore match between Hugh Morrus and Terry Funk, Booker T against Kevin Nash, Los Guerreros and The Revolution in a tag bout, and of course a Shamrock-Benoit fight. Our listeners liked the show, the feedback was very positive! First of all, let's talk about the situation in the hardcore division. Terry Funk rolled Mike Awesome over for the one-two-three to officially win the championship title. What are your thoughts on that?

- Funker was very lucky that Sid Vicious was around. In any other case he would be out of wrestling permanently. You just can not take so many bumps at this age...

- Probably Hugh Morrus got his victory because of that?

- I don't think so. He is a very tough dude, and I think you should meet him to get that. How bout I take him with myself for next time?

- Next time?

- Yeah, for this weekend.

- Mr. Piper, I guess you are the one who calls the shots in here. It feels like Piper's Pit actually...

- Hahaha, you get it, boy. Do you have more whiskey?

- No, I'm not a drinker.

- That's good for you. Our business needs more people with clear minds...

- Back to Nitro results, both Mike Rotunda and Bam Bam Bigelow won their matches easily. Can we state that those gentlemen are aligned with the WCW commissioner?

- What do you mean? They are loyal workers that deserve every bit of their success. I guess they will visit you too...

- Oh God. Anything on Booker T and his huge victory over Kevin Nash?

- Meh, that guy was injured. Something with his quad, apparently. Couldn't stand still, so I doubt he had any chances of winning in that situation.

- Understood. Los Guerreros pinned the current WCW World tag team champions. Does that mean we have the new title contenders, or Guerreros prefer to get their rematches with Konnan and Jushin Liger?

- That stupid Jimmy Hart did it again... I don't know. They have plenty of potential as a duo, but right now they have a bigger fish to fry.

- Chris Benoit is still the number one contender on Bret Hart's world heavyweight championship. Spring Stampede would be the third time these competitors face off. You think fans would buy the same main event for the third time in a row?

- As far as I'm concerned SuperBrawl was a successful show. Your buddy Dave Meltzer gave the main event five stars, and that is talking for itself. Fans wanted to see that match again, and I made it happen. I don't see a huge problem in that, we're flying.

- What about Ken Shamrock? That was a very good debut for him, what's next for "The World's Most Dangerous Man"?

- He's my enforcer first of all. I wouldn't keep him away from the ring, though, he's a bonafide fighter and everybody knows that. I'm gonna let him have some freedom, if he wants to fight every week than that's fine. If he wants to knock somebody out once a month - that is fine too. He is the architect of his career in WCW.

- Ok, what we should expect from Thunder, Mr. Piper?

- Two tournament matches: Kanyon vs. Meng and Reign vs. Dog-Faced Gremlin. A cruiserweight showdown between Psicosis and La Parka... let's see... oh, Rey Mysterio wanted to wreslte Konnan, so that is happening because Turner wants it... for main event we have Steiner and Flair vs. DDP and his mystery partner. Don't even ask me who that is, I have no idea.

- Decent card. Psicosis makes his return to action, Rey fights his ex-mentor, and NWO - DDP feud continues. I'm excited!

- You better not lie. And get more booze for Friday, guests are coming.

- Okie-doke. Thank you for another Piper Pit radio, sir. I really appreciate it!

- Take care, kid.

Another win for new alter ego.

La Parka vs. Psicosis

Return picks up victory.

Kanyon vs. Meng

Should help re-establish the badassery.

Black Reign vs. Rick Steiner

Konnan vs. Rey Mysterio Jr.

Konnan vs Eddie is still a thing I think, so he picks up a win to push that further.

La Parka vs. Psicosis

Don't see La Parka being the next Cruiserweight contender.

Kanyon vs. Meng

No clue, but I think Kanyon was always okay.

Black Reign vs. Rick Steiner

Creative has something for him.

Konnan vs. Rey Mysterio Jr.

He got the better of Eddie, so I'm not sure if it's a good move to have him lose to Rey Rey.

Ric Flair and Scott Steiner vs. Diamond Dallas Page and ???

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the mystery partner is Ken Shamrock.

WCW Thursday Thunder on TBS (Show #29)

http://i60.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0221/ff/9d3ab5a7d6e460dce784722ef0334aff.jpg

April 2000, Week 1

Hawaii, Neal S. Blaisdell Center (7,700)

SOLD OUT!

Schiavone: "Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you on this special edition of Thunder! We're in Hawaii, and the arena is packed. 7,700 tickets sold! Those people are hungry for some REAL wrestling, am I right, Brain?"

Bobby: "For once. It doesn't surprise me, Konnan against Rey Mysterio promises to be a match of the night!"

Larry: "What about the main event? Ric Flair and Scott Steiner meet Diamond Dallas Page and his mystery partner! You can't miss that!"

Sirens scream so loud that announcers can't hear each other! It's Scott Steiner's deafening theme music, both beautiful and ugly at the same time. People in the audience cover their ears with palms, waiting for the torture to end! Steiner is upset about it, he starts an argument with the fans, calling them names and stuff like that. He's not in a hurry, and he makes sure that the guy who puts music on repeats the "song"! Anyway, Big Poppa Pump is out here not to waste his time on pencilnecks who bought tickets to admire his physique, he came out to demand a title shot at Jarrett's United States championship! "Man With The Biggest Arms In The World" becomes even scarier if somebody makes him wait. Steiner requests "Double J's" ass in front of him! Fans laugh a bit, which drives Steiner crazy!! He flips the barricade, tears the rope out of the turnbuckle, starts dismantling the ring! Woah, man, we have six matches booked for tonight! Where's Piper?

Jeff Jarrett finally comes out, sunglasses on. There's no sun in here, douche! The United States champion is not alone, he's accompanied by Steven Regal. Too scared to meet the real man in Scott Steiner, you can see that on his face. Douglas, Saturn and Malenko, the original members of "The Revolution" are not allowed in the building tonight! Jarrett says that he likes Steiner the most out of the whole New World Order. Double J asks Steiner, how did he ended up surrounded by the old men keeping him down? Jarrett adds that is a ritorical question. It's obvious that Poppa is the man, he would be the world champion by this point if Hart wasn't a manipulative prick!

"ONLY MY MOMMA CAN CALL ME A POPPA, U STUPID REDNECK!"

Steven Regal asks for a microphone. He says Jeff Jarrett is sorry about his words, he's indeed a dumb redneck. "The Chosen One" looks at Regal in confusion, his comrade calls him names too? "Mr. Steiner, there's no need in insults, we are civil humans, for Queen's sake! Let's discuss our problems later, like a gentlemen, with a cup of warm tea on the table!". Diplomatic Regal tries his best to kiss Steiner's butt the right way. "I would like to ask you to reconsider your views on the United States championship, you're simply to good for a belt that represents this filthy, uneducated country". Crowd boos Regal, and Steiner pulls the mic out of Regal's hand.

"U DUMB SON OF A BITCH, STOP KISSING MY ASS!"

Offended Steven Regal flies off the ring after "Freakzilla" tosses the trash out of the squared circle. Jarrett was intimidated by Scott Steiner so much that he left his shiny piece of gold and leather hanging on the ropes. "The Chosen One" probably thinks it's not worth to come back, leaving the strap in the ring. "The Genetic Freak" puts the item on his six pack and poses in front of the camera to cut the segment.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Rick Steiner defeated Black Reign in 6:36 by disqualification after Vampiro interfered.

Black Reign has not forgotten some mat style skills, his body remembers it! After grappling and brawling with "The Dog-Faced Gremlin" for a couple of minutes, Reign was ready to wrap it up with a Nightmare Escape. Much to his ire, Vampiro stole the previlegy to snap a finsiher on Rick by hitting a "Nail In The Coffin" on the varsity club member. Ref DQed Black Reign immediately after that, making Steiner a semifinalist of the television title tournament. Lights went off, Vampiro vanished in the air... Black Reign decided not to leave the ring without a victim, hitting his strongest move on Scott Armstrong.

We are only 3 weeks away from the last chapter of "Benoit - Hart" rivalry! Pre-order the pay-per-view for just $39.99! That main event for the world heavyweight title should be priceless, so you're saving a lot of cash!

Diamond Dallas Page finds out that he is not allowed to talk by Roddy Piper! After DDP turned the company workers on "Rowdy", the commissioner decided that he had enough of that. Now "The People's Champion" could be suspended, if something wrong would come out of his mouth! Okerlund, however, was able to pull off a majestic interview with the silent man, praising the hero of the working class for a couple of minutes.

Up next is the final quater final match in the WCW television championship tournament. Chris "Champagne" Kanyon against "The Face of Terror" - Meng!

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Kanyon defeated Meng in 7:31 by pinfall with a surprise cradle.

Meng won't get his revenge on Black Reign anyway, but still, it is a huge upset! "The Innovator Of Offense" failed to put up any, and won only because of the age factor. Meng wasn't the most agile guy in his prime, so expecting a man of his build to kick out of a sudden roll up is not a smart thing. Kanyon leaves the ring quickly, just to avoid the rage of the barbarian. He's happy, and probably a step closer to his first singles title in WCW! The bracket of the tournament informs us that Kanyon will meet Mike Rotunda the next time, while Rick Steiner should get himself over "The Triple B" on his road to the title!

Ric Flair gets out of his limo and makes a few steps before bumping into a man with the United States championship on his waist. "The Naitch" asks Steiner not to tell him anything, as he turns back to his luxury car, finds a bottle of some booze, and gets ready to read a toast! Scott listens keenly, but drops his shot on the concrete floor of the parking lot. Steiner then explains to Ric, that he didn't win the title just yet, he just borrowed it from Jarrett to play for some time. Flair starts laughing, and says that "Big Poppa Pump" is special...

At that time Crowbar and Daffney wondered near the private locker room of Berlyn, the German Brute. Wilhelm and Jacob asked Crowbar for an invitational card, but he said that he doesn't need one. BAM! Jacob goes down, after the maniac smashed his with a metal stick right across the eyes. Daffney jumped on Wilhelm from the back, and yelled in his ear for some time, before Crowbar used his tool once again! Giggling Daffney asked what's next?

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Psicosis defeated La Parka in 7:55 by pinfall with a Sky Twister Press.

Yet another defeat for the La Parka. The good thing is, Psicosis got a victory in his return match, so he improves his position in the cruiserweight rankings, and he is an impressive performer! After his match the masked luchadore faced the front row, searching for a redhead fan of Essa Rios! Found her, grabbed her hair and dragged her all the way to the ring. After some mexican threats adressed to Essa, Psicosis was attacked by Berlyn. He doesn't want yet another guy in his division... it's Crowbar and Daffney! They're waving the german flag, standing on the announce desk, distracting the ex-champion. Finally, Rios makes his way to the ring and helps his female fan to get back on her feet. On top of that, Jushin Liger stopped on the ramp and dropped that Japan is not that weird compared to WCW.

A hype video of Terry Funk breaks the madness with a bigger proportions of absurdity! The new WCW hardcore champion has won that championship with four broken ribs, hip injury, slipped disk and a broken head. Now that's hardcore!

Konnan is in the ring already, waiting for Rey Mysterio to show up! Of course K-Dogg used that time to talk some lingo trash on Mysterio Jr, his family and his friends. Eddie Guerrero wasn't left aside, of course. Rey came out with Jimmy Hart behind his shoulder, he made that bout official after all! "Mouth of The South" orders the referee to ring the bell!

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Konnan by DQ in 11:03.

Tequila Sunrise, bloodshot eyes! Konnan is a dangerous pal, Jimmy Hart cried for help in his megaphone but got a fist in the mouth. Konnan picked up the megaphone and proclamed himself "The Mexaking"! Eddie won't be happy about that.

Disco Inferno and The Cat stand in some dark room, facing the cameraman. "You ready? Action!". Dark room fills with all the colors you saw in your life, but mostly pink and blue. Disco Inferno dances his seat off, while Ernest Miller praises The Lord for giving them this kind of music! On the other hand, rap makes people violent, oh right. Their bodies can not resist when this tune hits the floor, baby! Disco ball on the ceiling spins with a crazy speed too!! This oddball skit gets cut by the boys from the streets - Stevie Ray and Big T! Gunshot to the ball, glass shattered, room became tinsel-esque! "Rap makes people violent? You don't know what violent is, dog! T, show 'em!". Big T knocks both dancers on the floor with a huge shoulderblock, Stevie adds the boots on the glamorous studs just like that...

Kimberly is approached by "Mean Gene" backstage, and of course Kim remained fairly laconic. However she hinted that even Dallas doesn't know who his opponent will be tonight, it's like an open challenge of sorts... oh, woman. You tried not to look dumb, but in the end you almost sold your husband out. DDP is making his way to the ring through the crowd right now, let's change the camera! Who's gonna be DDP's mystery partner? We never get to know that, as Steiner and Flair state that they already took care of that guy. Is it a handicap match now? Surely DDP's guy wasn't a spy! Is that him? Is that... Buff Bagwell!?

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Ric Flair and Scott Steiner defeated Diamond Dallas Page and Buff Bagwell in 14:20 when Scott Steiner defeated Buff Bagwell by submission with a Steiner Recliner. During the match we also saw Lex Luger run in and attack DDP, and Scott Hall also attack Bagwell.

Over the course of the match Ric and Scott stomped the crap out of "The People's Champion", and in the end he finally made a hot tag to a pretty worn out "Stuff" named Buff. To the huge surprise of everyone, he almost pinned Ric Flair's shoulders for the count of three!! Ric had no choice but to poke the referee in the eyes, and it wasn't Charles Robinson! Scott Hall and Lex Luger immediately joined the beat down! DDP got handcuffed to the ropes at first, and after that NWO really smashed Bagwell, that's not a set up! After all black and white members hit their finishers on the poor dude, Steiner just sat on Buff's back and made it look like his opponent faded out in a submission hold. Ref asks to ring the bell in a lazy fashion...

NWO stands tall, calling out everybody who wants a piece of New World Order right now! Nobody answers the challenge, and the thugs jump off the squared circle with their mugshot faces decorated with rare smiles! It's a great night to be the bad guy!

Final Rating: 80/100 (3.26 on TBS)

No changes in populatity.

Man, Bill is a little touchy, ain't he?

Berlyn vs. Essa Rios

Big win for Rios.

Rick Steiner vs. Bam Bam Bigelow

Really just a guess there.

Sid Vicious vs. Lex Luger

Lex Express straight to the top!

Booker T and Buff Bagwell vs. Bret Hart and Ric Flair

I know you're doing a good job building these two up, but I can't see them beating the heads of the nWo.

Should of rode that wave of momentum he had a couple of weeks ago. Now people may not get it, but I'll stick up with that behavior for him. He decorates the evil Piper even more, as he will not be punished or warned for that, encouraged actually. Now he's a locker room hyena of sorts, tries to keep young fellas in fear to please the board with so-called discipline. Chickens out of any other fights, just a bully. I don't know the man personally, but if people talk that way that much, it's not far from truth.
