Payne
Adam, I've been following you for about as long as I've known about Wrestling Simulators, I even remember the website (PWSim, or something like that) that had a list of all of the sims out there, EWR, the one the other Adam did..... Come to think of it, my memory is REALLY bad.... But, that's beside the point. Here's me trying to get to the point. I've had your back since before there was even a TEW. I tried my hand at one of the first generations of pictures being included (with the Belts). I came to GDS just because of following and backing you. My post count over the last 10 years isn't all that much. I'm not really a guy who says much, until I have something to say. To you, I'm just a dude who types sometimes, I'm sure. I'm not very important in the grand scheme. But, I hope what I'm about to say has some merit to you. I've played all your games. EWR, EWD, Comic Book, TEW, WreSpi, and WMMA. Everything you've put out, I've gotten and played until I was sick of it. (Except for TEW 13, still not sick of that). I also am a huge fan of Simulator games. Rof3K, the old Hitchikers Guide typing input game. I've been at this for about 20 years. The interface of WMMA4, the sleekness, the speed, the interactions, everything about this I haven't been able to put down for the first 34 hours. Yes, 34 hours. I didn't realize I had been playing this damned game for 34 hours. Then I slept for 12. This is, by far, simply put, the best simulator game I've ever played. This is perfect. This is the bar, now. You took the best stuff of every other game out there, and you made gold. That's it. That's all I have to say for now. I'm going to wait for a good RW mod, and play the crap out of this game, and get mad because I'll have forgotten all my intended storylines for TEW. Like I said, I'm just some name on a computer screen. But, if the opinion of someone who has been on your screen for over 10 years means anything, I hope this does. Because it means a lot to us, the fans, that you put so much work into these games, and they just keep getting better. I'm gonna go now, because my lips are getting chapped, and I'm sure you'd like to sit down. Good job, sir. You made the game I want to play. majesty95
Well, I've been planning on buying WMMA 4 anyway, just had not been in a hurry with other things going on. But I'm in a hurry now. Lol. Adam, if everything Payne says is true, well done. And I can't wait to get started!
klnOmega
<p>You didn't really give any specific reasons about why you think it is so great. lr10540
I agree completely. Very hard tp to stop playing. I've spent entire days on it myself. For someone who usually is bored after a week of playing something, I still can't wait to play every morning.
oilersfan99
Great post and I agree, this version of the game has me absolutely loving this game. I have followed Adam from the old freeware games as well and loved them and so happy to see GDS doing so well. Money well spent, love this game and way to go Adam, you nailed this one. SirMichaelJordan
I haven't loaded up FM since I purchased this game. That says a lot as I love this year's FM.
Munit
Its an overall great game, love the little facts they give you and the tournaments. Contracts are way easier too, the only downside I have is one night tournaments, but its not a huge deal to me anymore.
djthefunkchris
<p>Hah, I thought Payne was going to lay into Adam for a minute over not utilizing enough of his graphics work over the years... I was even prepared to back him up on it, as I love his graphics. But nooooo, it was just a booty call. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Seriously though, that was an awesome post. My son is the only one I ever heard of playing that many hours straight on any game. I know this was a post mainly meant to just let Adam know that you love his game, and share that in front of all of us. The funny thing is, without even the first hint of game play, your post is probably the best hype/review I have ever heard for a game in my life. IF I didn't know what this game was and read this post, I would have to dig until I found this game.</p><p> </p><p> Your post needs to be put somewhere on the main download page or somewhere where lots of people can see it. This is a post that would make me want this game if I didn't already know about it.</p>
Powerful_Fox
<p>It means Adam is going to get another $34.99 from me. I have been teetering since WMMA 4 was released (even started my own thread about it and asked a couple of questions), I think what I was waiting for was an "It's exceptional, get it" sort of response and this has done it.</p><p> </p><p> I can guarantee that this wont just send me over the line either, cheers Payne, hopefully Mr. R will be giving you some commission <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Ryland, Ryland, sign him up.</p>
SeanMcFly
<p>I'll admit I had my qualms early on with this game, but I've found that modding it / just playing it has given me a handle on it and now it's more addictive than any other Ryland game I've played.</p><p> </p><p> Kudos Adam, you got me again.</p>

Blackman
Though I highly recommend Mr Ryland's games, because they are in fact really good, I'd also adivse caution when it comes to blindly hyping a game. The game is already very playable, but compared to WMMA3 there's still some balancing to be done imo in terms of the game engine and AI. ripwalk
How on earth do you play a game for 34 hours? Wouldn't you need some sleep? How far into the future did you get after 34 hours?
SirMichaelJordan
How on earth do you play a game for 34 hours? Wouldn't you need some sleep? How far into the future did you get after 34 hours? I would say 34 hours are very much possible lol. I remember when I first played Football Manager (FM12) Man, I've played the game for well over 24 hours. I did not leave the house at all. It was winter and I had a break at the time but the hours went by so fast and the game was just so deep. I never seen anything like it because I was a console gamer at the time. I don't even remember being sleepy either, I guess the dopamine just kept me going.
RBM1
That sim website was PWSE used to live by that website back in the early 00s waiting for new games to appear!
Blackman
The AI is 100% better then in WMMA3... The AI in WMMA3 was terrible lol. EDIT: not saying its perfect, but in comparison to WMMA3 definitely an improvement I meant the fighter AI, which was more one-dimensional, but not terrible. The company AI is definitely better, but still shows some weirdness here and there.
electric appliance
34 hours? Hopefully taking some walking breaks every 2 hours or so. I'd be hearing colours after 12 hours.
bigtplaystew
I think we could take a peak at Payne's post count and maybe have enough respect not to suspect him of viral marketing... Anyway... Good to voice the opinion of those of us that do love this game. So much negativity around here sometimes but I guess that's the nature of a message board dedicated to a game. The people having problems are always more motivated to post than the people who are busy playing the game.

Massively. WMMA5 is Adam's best game. It will likely remain as such for a long time, maybe ever. I suppose that was the best response that could have been given.
