As she enters the city, the biker stops in at a local bar for a drink. As he pours her drink, the bartender, worn by his years in the city, warns her to leave as soon as possible. As if on cue, in strides Vin Marconi III and his entourage. He claims that the biker is in his spot and when she refuses to move, Vin orders his men to kill her as an example. A firefight breaks out as the biker steals the pistol off one of the henchmen and opens fire on Vin, hitting him square in the shoulder and forcing him to retreat outside. However, the biker has one bullet too few and is left with her back against the wall as the lone survivor looms in for the kill. Suddenly, his head explodes in a mass of blood and viscera, behind him stands the bartender, holding a smoking shotgun. Taking the biker down to a cellar he had hidden behind one of his wine racks, the bartender explains how Veracruz has come under control of the Marconi crime family and that she just wounded and embarrassed the boss's son. Stating that the biker will be hunted down by the Maronis anyways, the bartender gives her an offer, agree to kill Vin and drive his family out of Veracruz and he will give her access to his armory, which he unveils with a flourish.

Meanwhile, Vin stumbles back to his safe house, blood pouring from his shoulder. His family's trusted enforcer, Big Ronnie, is the first to greet him and calls for a doctor amid his boss's screams of rage. As Vin is patched up, Ronnie begs him not to turn Veracruz into a war zone over one woman, but Vin will hear none of it and orders Ronnie to put out a bounty on the biker. As Ronnie leaves, his boss shouts out the door for somebody to bring Alice to him.

The biker's first target is a warehouse the Marconis use to store their drug shipments. Bursting through the checkpoint outside, she proceeds to mow down grunt after grunt with little difficulty. As she begins to place the explosives to destroy the warehouse, a bullet flies right by her head. Behind her stands a scantily clad assassin. Following a short stare down, both jump behind cover and begin exchanging fire. The fight is almost even, as each time one gains the upper hand, the other pulls out some trick to even the field again. Eventually, a stray bullet hits one of the bricks of C4 the biker had laid down and the warehouse goes up in flames as the two scramble to get out. When the dust settles, the biker looks around and finds no trace of the assassin, save for a matchbook from a club named, The Golden Calf.

Back at the Marconi safe house, Vin is in the middle of some...intimate healing from Alice when Ronnie walks in, not even flinching at the scene before him, and informs Vin of the demolished warehouse and the biker's survival. Vin angrily throws Alice off the bed, storms over to Ronnie, and begins to tear him apart for his failures, Vin's voice growing louder with each step. Ronnie takes it all in stride until Vin makes a remark about Ronnie's girlfriend. At which point, it takes all of his control to not strike Vin, who continues to taunt him about the consequences of doing so. Ronnie manages to keep himself under control and informs his boss that their assassin is likely leading the biker straight to the Golden Calf as they speak.

The biker arrives at the club, looking to even the score with the assassin. Preferring the direct approach, she breaks down the door and opens fire on the guards. She pushes further back, passing all manner of degenerates and half-naked women, until she reaches the back room and the assassin springs her trap. Leaping from the shadows, aiming square at the biker's jugular, her target notices her just in the nick of time and manages to get an arm up. Recoiling in pain from the knife sticking through her arm, the biker drops her gun. The battle quickly turns into a hand-to-hand affair in which the assassin leads easily. The biker is only able to manage to survive after she pulls the knife out of her arm and slice the assassin across the face. Taking advantage of the momentary space she has, the biker picks up her gun and pumps several rounds into her foe until she finally falls. With the score settled and the Golden Calf littered with corpses, the biker, battered, bruised and bleeding heavily, heads back to the bar.

At the safe house, Ronnie sits back in his chair, waiting to hear of the assassin's success, when he hears Vin, with a disturbing calm to voice, call for him. As he enters, he sees his girlfriend being held at knifepoint by Vin, who informs him of his failed plan. Vin informs Ronnie that there is has to be a price for failure and proceeds the slit the poor woman's throat in front of him. Vin points the bloody knife at Ronnie and tells him that he knows what to do.

The bartender is busy stitching up the biker when they hear several vans pull up. Out of the lead vehicle steps Big Ronnie, his army pouring out behind him. But, rather than open fire, he asks to talk. With no real choice, the biker heads out to speak with him. To her surprise, he offers Vin and the his only loyal capos on a platter. Explaining that Vin is hated by all but the most ignorant of the Marconi family and was assigned to what they thought was a do nothing job. Ronnie claims that the biker has already destroyed the two places that made the city worth it for the family, so they would likely leave soon anyways. His only request is that she let him and the men behind him leave unharmed and she will not pursue him. Holding no grudge against him, the biker agrees and the two part ways.

An impatient Vin calls Ronnie and demands to know what's taking him so long. Ronnie simply replies, "She should be there right about now." and hangs up. Right on cue, the biker tears her way through the lower levels of the safe house, Vin growing more and more terrified. Finally, she makes her way to his room, where he is holding Alice as a human shield. The biker just shoots him in the leg and points out the shields don't work too well when you still expose yourself. With the barrel pressed straight to his forehead, the biker pulls the trigger, ending Vin's reign of terror. Afterwards, she attempts to help Alice back to her feet, but she refuses to take her hand.

The biker is back at the bar refueling her motorcycle. The bartender walks up to her and tries to convince her to stay. But the biker just tells him the road is her home and rides off.

Back in America, Ronnie informs Vin's father of his son's "unavoidable" demise and of the woman who killed him. All the while, Alice cradles Vin's body, her expression shifting from one of grief to one of rage.

Location: Veracruz, Mexico

Running Time: 1 hour and 52 minutes

Talent: 350,000

Production: 500,000

Marketing: 150,000

Veracruz is the first movie produced by Grindhouse Pictures. It’s the 28th year of the New Era, planet Torun and its inhabitants are having another tough year. Year 28 means that every day man will have to live through his hard, tiring life yet again. Last year’s “Strike for Humanity” did not end up fruitful, with more protesters injured than ever before, producing even less results. Citizens of Torun, now a globally covering planet-metropolis are mostly working in factories in order to facilitate the Great Council’s decision to colonize local star systems. The Great Council is a representative, ultimate control body of the Torun with complete control over every aspect of life, technology and politics. CCTV cameras are not only installed everywhere over the metropolis, including personal homes, but they are also enforced to the point where it’s against the law to not have one working at all times. Young children are chipped so they can grow up into more obedient, harder-working people, asking less of questions and working more, all to accommodate the safety of the Great Council. The Great Council is formed of five ministers, and the AI. AI is the absolute leader of the Torun, an octopus-like, twenty tentacled metal beast created by the humans in order to preserve the world’s knowledge and have it act as a central server for controlling thing such as traffic lights, plane times… All was well until the scientists realised they have made one crucial mistake in the development of the AI, they did not restrict its ability to learn. The monster learned from every single line of code that went through it, and soon it, on its own will, took over ultimate control over Torun, eliminating everything that stood in its path by the means of brute force. The people would, however, go on to rebel against the AI, going as far as trying to destroy the 30 foot mechanical beast, but the fact that most of the Torun’s armies were formed of controllable, robotic units did not help the cause. Any attempt to rebel against the authority ended with misery for the people, and the idea of chipping people became something of a law.

Mark (Joseph Gordon-Lewitt) is your average building facility worker, spending his days building parts for the space colonisation projects. However, unlike most of his co-workers Mark has a slight defect making him a true unique. His chip is malfunctioned, and among his peers he is the only one realising how bad of a situation they are in. The bigger advantage, however, is the fact that the chip gave him the ability to read other’s thoughts and even persuade them to do stuff for him. Other workers are usually content with their lives, only due to the chip reprogramming their feelings to neglect the feeling of sadness, fear or anger. He comes on the idea of making this years “Strike for humanity” the one to count, the first one that is not propaganda, but act of free people. He secretly starts developing the plan in his home, in the only room not visible to CCTV camera, and decides he should look for a team of people to perform a task with. He decides to form a team of highly capable individuals to take down the AI with, starting and including his personal doctor, Joyce (Hugh Jackman), the only person he knows that functions without a chip. Joyce was never one for rebellion, never having participated in a “Strike for Humanity” before, however Mark’s persuasion skills draw the doctor right into the plan. They form the alter ego’s of Lustman and Porcos, hoping to hide their identities, and continue to look over the planet for highly-skilled individuals, perhaps even to attempt and remove the chips, however risky it might be. Lustman’s plan is to form the mighty seven, “The Seven Deadly Sins”, taking the alter ego’s of a similar name, each persona representing a deadly sin. Doctor’s skills will prove to be of critical importance considering his expertise, and the fact that doctor “operates” robots, as well as humans. They soon embark over the world to search for the people and manage to find Avaritian, a highly skilled ex-soldier, Invidia, a young girl known to be one of the best melee fighters around, Acido, whose skin became poisonous on touch once his chip got removed. Each new member is found on a completely unrelated part of Torun and it’s well showcased through the chosen scenery and shooting locations. To find their final members, the five break into the Grand Prison to free Wrath from his supercell, the strongest person on the planet, standing over 7.5 feet tall. During the scenes, the specialty of each member is exaggerated and presented. In the end Superbo, an ex space colonisator now turned officer is convinced to join them and Seven Deadly Sins are formed. The group spends the next three hundred days developing a plan in Mark’s home, meeting every day at the exact time after their work shifts. They grow closer together and the watcher can learn about the character and troubles of each member of the group. When the day of protest finally comes, the group heads to the core of the Torun, gathering the masses behind them and preaching the free will of the people, heading for the place where AI is thought to be held. Seven Deadly Sins and the protesters clash with waves of Torun army, and their fighting prowess is well showcased. There are many civilian casualties, however the people stand victorious through heavy losses. Invidia is nowhere to be seen, and part of the group attempted to go look for her, however Lustman persuaded them to continue and fulfill their destiny. They enter an enormous, well-protected chamber-like building, ands soon find the AI inside. What they did not realise is, the chamber is set to self-destruct if breached, and AI promptly locks the heroes inside with itself. It explains to them that their cause is unjust and will only bring terror and suffering upon the people they love, and their actions cannot be withheld. For one, if they destroy the AI core, they will be destroyed with it, the building is completely enclosed and they have no way to escape, an anarchy will rule and the days of men will end. AI tries to talk them into leaving and letting them live their lives like nothing had ever happened, but they decide to battle and overcome the gigantic creature, fighting through explosions and sweat until the last breath. At last, nothing is left but dirt, but the once-rabble, now free people of Torun sang of their names until the end of the centuries, the new centuries, “The Freedom Era”. The very last scene is of Invidia striding down the dirt and storm, with an AI core in her hands, smiling, but slowly giving up to laughter.

“If only they knew how greed can change you.˝ She is seen heading towards a ship with officers arriving and scene shifts to Lustman opening his eyes, looking at Invidia leaving, barely making up his words:
