Well I've somewhat booked myself into a corner (not for the first time). Coming into Feb 2016 and i don't have a feud going for the World Title! Jay Chord has beaten Champion and James Justice, and i don't want to put them under again. Steve Frehley (my other big babyface) is feuding with Sneer Corp alongside Rick Law and Enygma, so thats those 3 tied up. even in the upper midcard John Anderson has just turned but is feuding with Big Smack Scott and Masked Cougar for the TV title, and Joshua Taylor is feuding with Casey Valentine for the National Title. Chord literally has no one, I'm trying to sign Valiant but SOTBPW are also in the running, and are pulling out all the stops to sign him (as am I). I'm in the process of rehiring Rich Money as a developmental trainer, because he's still toxic but I don't want to be beaten to the punch so he can help out training until i can bring him back up. He lost a decent amount of pop and is only at 75 overness US wide now.

So what should i do with Jay Chord? Give him a vacation and keep the belt off TV until some of the other feuds finish? Free someone else up quickly? Feud with a midcarder who realistically has no hope of winning? Any thoughts are appreciated. Also, here is a picture of my roster, if that helps. :)

Maybe not, its tiny!!

What about an open challenge for now. You can throw mid, lower, openers, enhancement, and even developmental and one night only signings at him on a weekly basis, like John Cena's US Title Open Challenge

A open challenge segment each week with the cocky heel champion would be great. Have him cut a promo running down his opponent and the fans before and after the match. Each week the fans would be dying to see someone shut Chord's mouth. Keep doing this until one of your Main Event faces is done with their current feud.

<p>I had a similar problem and decided to try to elevate a bunch of midcarders to see if any of them could hang with the champ in a multi-man / handicap match.</p><p> </p><p>

In CGC I just ran a short programme of Jack DeColt vs Del Veccio for the title. I amped up ADV's chances of winning by making it no DQ which meant that his bodyguard Prometheus could get involved at will. With Jacks psychology and selling I'd back him to make it a PPV worthy main event (well just about). Scored a B rating and ADV came out with high momentum. Win!</p><p> </p><p>

Other alternative is to have the champ take on several midcarders in a 4 way match. He doesn't have to be pinned himself which ups the kayfabe chances of losing and could be a good way to showcase your up and comers against the champ.</p><p> </p><p>

As long as the in ring skills are there and the champ is over enough it should still deliver a decent rating.</p>

I can see developing talent, but that's quite a bit of talent to develop all at once. :p

I guess I'm very conservative then. I might go 4-6 people above minimum for wrestlers, but I'd never have as many as you do.

In November of my WWE July 2012 game, here's the major point of October for me:

http://i.imgur.com/0qck6iz.png

That's the #2 match of the save so far, just below the Iron Man match between Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, and just above Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk from Clash of the Champions in September.

http://i.imgur.com/w0Sozcd.png

In addition, Bragging Rights came off as the #2 best show I've put together thus far, with SummerSlam a point higher.

http://i.imgur.com/JLcP8Nv.png

Surprisingly, TNA put up a quite good show in itself (still trumped by Bragging Rights, but still a great effort). This save (from TEW2013 converted) has quite the competition ahead against me.

I am finding angles score really high this year.... Mr. Lucha III keeps giving me A* rated interview angles with ~76 average entertainment skills, and B- Popularity. Freakin' storylines.... lol

I also won card of the year. It was the card where Fro Sure won the World title in a Cage match that rated 99. It also featured Gargantuan vs Rogue which got an 87 somehow. My product is Perf=Pop, so Gargantuan and Rogue getting an 87 was surprising. Neither of them had particularly good psychology, so I am fairly certain the match was penalized for that.

They've all had steady skill growth and some of them seem like shooting stars. It's pretty much unconscious now, almost muscle memory. I've been using the same method since TEW10. It's all about repetition. There's always someone being punished and forced to work gauntlet matches. The supremely talented authority figure always has an apprentice/assistant and every manager on the roster interacts with the both of them on a regular basis. Grizzled veterans offended by the rise of young talents and intent on suppressing it to save their own spots. It's rote but it works.</p>

running a company I created myself, graphics and all the lot, ran by Bryan Danielson, frustrated with WWE's stranglehold on the industry... anyway, 8 weeks in & John Cena has just been engulfed in a scandal, where he's been recorded making religious slurs. and believe it or not, WWE pulld the trigger and released the guy... lost for words. game changer.

<p>Well, I got a surprise in my first long run. I'm kind of "practicing" a RTG (I play is seriously, but no dynasty so its also somewhat playful.)</p><p> </p><p>

First I've had to fire 2 wrestlers. Lucas Danger for drugs and Brett Massive for attitude.</p><p> </p><p>

but my real big surprise was seeing MAW fold in October 2017. I'll admit I don't watch the other promotions closely, but I was a bit surprised they were the first.</p><p> </p><p>

Edit: Turned out MAW wasn't the only one to go under. ACPW didn't make it to the end of October 2017 either. I'll admit the economy and wrestling industry have been tough in the US, but it looks like its a world wide problem in this game. (The economy never gets above C- and the Wrestling Industry stalls out around D before dropping again.)</p>

<p>Ernest Youngman and Tennessee William feuding over the Mid Atlantic Championship throughout 2019 has given me some of the best match ratings I've ever booked as a small company. They have no chemistry (positive or negative) and have ranged in matches from B (82) to A (92). Youngman has been the top face for two years. He's been the MAW Figurehead for 1 year, 4 months. Attendance is up 4% and merchandise is up 10%.</p><p> </p><p>

They've both been with MAW for awhile now. Youngman has 81 popularity in the Mid Atlantic and William has a 78. Youngman only works for MAW and NYCW. I edited his profile to be loyal to MAW. I wanted a figurehead and I didn't want to lose them, so he's the man. Every time he signs with a bigger company (from other saves) he never gets used properly. So why not keep him somewhere he's actually needed? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Starting a game with JCP in Matt Shannon's awesome 85' Mod.

First 2 TV shows so far rated at 75 and then 79. 0.81 rating week 1 and then a jump up to 1.23 for the following week. Good start to the game and January.

Storylines going forward as follows;

*Terry Funk's contract is in it's final month at the game start and won't sign a new deal so he's gunning for Flair and the World Title. With the help of Dory, their constant beatdowns hope to weaken the babyface champion. It'll come to a head at the end of the month Supercard in a loser leaves JCP match for the title. Funk puts over Flair and leaves the company.

*Ricky Steamboat & Tully Blanchard are engaged in a solid feud for Tully's TV Title. They main evented the first TV show of the year for the title and Tully won via submission (cheating, obviously). The match drew a 77 rating. I'm fleshing it out with Ole Anderson (F) and Billy Graham (H) to give tag action too but Tully & Ricky are the focus.

*Wahoo and Magnum continue to battle over the US Title. Eventually Magnum will reign supreme. This rivalry co-incides with Flair & Funk's too so the 2 overlap and create an interesting dynamic.

*Dusty Rhodes (User) & Manny Fernandes and are on the ropes against the Koloff's and Krusher in defending their tag titles. The Koloff's will eventually gain these so I'll move Dusty up onto bigger, better and more deserving things.

Further to these, The Starships have disbanded. Coyote is now known simply as Big Scott Hall. He'll team up with a soon to debut Curt 'Perfect' Hennig. They'll be known simply as Big & Perfect... ooh, matron.

Also Larry Zybyzsko has just debuted with Arn Anderson. These 2 will cause trouble themselves before eventually finding Tully, then somehow Flair will turn heel eventually and we'll have a 4 Horsemen.

I've also signed The British Bulldogs but Davey Boy was injured in Stampede and is apparently out for 2 months. Plus Dynamite can't work Tuesdays, so they're on the back-burner for a couple of months.

Love this time in wrestling history.

Sting has died on my game, I had him in a feud with Taker too. :(

So the guy finally gets that illustrious feud he's strived for all his career and then dies? Wow, even the game knows that in 2016 Sting vs Taker is probably a bad idea. Brutal way to get the point across though!
