What's going on in your game?

Recommended Posts

<p>Just started a COTT game.</p><p> </p><p>

Bash at the beach is done with Flair beating Hogan (first time they had even been near each other, other than a contract signing, with not physical contact allowed) Flair won due to the newest Horseman making an attack, that horse man was The Game Jean Paul Levesque.</p><p> </p><p>

Quite interesting really as Hogan told me the week before to cut Levesque from WCW due to him being clumsy, so im hoping that by putting him with Flair and AA that he'll learn. I was also planning on putting Vader in the Horseman but CEO Bischoff doesn't want Vaders Pop in America to increase, so ive changed plans and have brought in Glen Jacobs to be my Monster Heel. Hes yet to debut (im not sure which name i'll use, either one of his alters or create a new one for him) Sherri Martel in the "valet" for them </p><p> </p><p>

Austin and Steamboat are working great they are money makers and ratings winners. </p><p> </p><p>

My next thing with Hogan will be throwing Sting into the mix to keep the two way feud going with Flair and eventually end up with a Triple threat match for the Gold.</p><p> </p><p>

Got a load of ideas with this roster, as its pretty good without having to bring much in. Although I will bring in a few while shipping out others to make it my roster and building for the future</p>

Its a test game. But I thought it was interesting and felt like sharing. <p> </p><p> Been toying around with my own version of Genadi's 2001 WCW Survives mod for some time. WCW is owned by Shane McMahon and are at Cult. Still have some talent but the top stars are mostly gone. The idea is to have to build them back up and build new stars from the new generation of talent. Now, in most games I run, I start a child promotion and stock it with talent. I've typically opened the biggest child promotion I could afford. But in testing, I tried opening the smallest size and making them a touring promotion. They actually end up growing quite quickly, especially since the product is performance equals popularity and they have some really talented young workers. So my plan is to open up four promotions in total - three men's and one women's - and stock them with a dozen or so prospects each. </p><p> </p><p> One of the things I would like to do when I can afford it is open a broadcaster. Because it will be a while in-game before WCW could afford a broadcaster bigger than what they can get normally, I was toying with the idea of just waiting until I can afford the smallest size and going with that. So to test that idea, I created a backup of the data, then gave WCW its own broadcaster (Tiny range in the US), created the four child promotions (all with zero popularity to start), gave each of them a TV show on the WCW-owned broadcaster, and about 10 prospects per promotion on developmental deals. </p><p> </p><p> A year sim... All four promotions are at F popularity across the US and E- in their home region. The main talent on each roster mostly started with F or F- popularity, and are now around D+. Higher in their home regions. Styles is C in the promotions home region (Mid Atlantic), and CM Punk is B- (Great Lakes). </p><p> </p><p> I've kept the sim going as I'm curious how much they grow. But for anyone wondering... with a broadcaster you own showing TV for a child promotion, you absolutely can emulate NXT and have workers become popular enough to move right into your midcard.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I did something similar with a game I set up. I created a broadcaster, alliance, and a number of dev companies on the back of WCW International. My fear, however, was overpowering a high number of workers and pricing a lot of indy talent out of the actual indies. Is that a genuine concern?</p>

All three companies at regional with popularity across the US (the ladies promotion is lagging a bit behind) and sitting around the #8 - 12 range for world-wide promotion rankings. I'm not totally shocked by that - a touring child promotion with some good talent on board seems to grow quite rapidly even without a broadcasting deal, but the worker popularity growth isn't as notable. I've simmed up to about 2005 and the worker popularity seems to top out at around C across the US, with the home region being a bit higher. But hitting C level popularity isn't a certainty - the top guys in each developmental company range from D+ to C. </p><p> </p><p> It doesn't seem like C is too high to get picked up by regional companies. I've seen regional size companies sign up the likes of Bill Goldberg and Sting in tests - later in their careers, but still with plenty of overness. Even Eddie Guerrero sometimes after the WWF releases him (though Japan tends to like to grab him). </p><p> </p><p> If the gameworld has nothing but sub-regional companies in the US, then I guess it could cause problems. You could also have a situation where someone gets over like Punk did (C across the US, B in the Great lakes when WCW called him up) gets released and he won't sign with a company in the Great Lakes region because his popularity is too high there. Again, only likely to be an issue if there are few companies of regional-plus size.</p>

I'm actually not certain they cap out at C even with that size of a broadcaster - that's just what I'm seeing. Company size could be a factor, and some guys who hit C- or C were called up by the parent promotion, so if they had stayed, maybe they would have kept getting more popular.</p><p> </p><p> My intent was just to see whether it would be worth trying to start a broadcaster of that size in the game I'm playing with WCW purely to raise the popularity of developmental workers. In-game, that broadcaster costs about $13m to start up so its a huge amount of money. But you can leave workers there for a time and have them step into the midcard or above. That's quite awesome.</p>

I'm finally going to do it. WWF 1991. Chris Jericho is going to come in with a lifeguard gimmick. I'm sorry, any time I hear that Baywatch theme these days, I can hear Jericho. Somebody mentioned this on Youtube before and I can't listen to the tune without thinking of Jericho. ''don't you worry, it's gonna be alright'' That is Jericho. :D

Might end up turning Earthquake into the Shark just to make it feel legit.

Captain CJ Buchannon. :p

Call him Baewatch, a gimmick where he hits on other people's girlfriends and wives in front of them. If you want to use the lifeguard thing, have him "save" girls from their ugly partners :D

Thanks to life my '91 NWA resurrected game has stalled a bit but things are still going according to plan.

Decided to hire Terry Funk as the next babyface in line to challenge Rick Rude for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Until then he's been added to my Terry Gordy/Steve Williams vs Cactus Jack/Bill Irwin feud that was just given new life as Truth or Consequences have brought in Abdullah The Butcher to aid them in their feud. They just had a helluva 6-man tag match at my last PPV, so good in fact that I decided to keep Abdullah around for another month and have him help build up Terry Funk as the toughest SOB on the planet while Steve Williams is ultimately set to be sacrificed to Rude's title reign.

The Junior Heavyweight Title was a great idea but it got to be a bit unrealistic and overdoing it a bit having a Junior Heavyweight division as well as a secondary tag team division. No one was getting over as there was simply not enough air time for everyone so one division had to go. It did it's job and made Benoit, Jericho, Storm, and the Guerrero brothers solid lower midcarders ready to enter the US Tag Team Title and Television Title areas of the card.

Other than that things are going swimmingly with NWA's eyes looking to the 3 night July bonanza known as The Summer Sizzler Series!

I'll update with the card once I finally get there.

Im finally heading into StarCade 94.... main event will be Flair, Hogan and Sting in a steel Cage match. This has been building all year and is A* consistantly. I still haven't worked out who will actually win tho lol.

The horseman of Flair, AA, Doomsday (Glen Jacobs) and The Game Paul Levesque (I dropped the Jean from his name) have been running wild. Doomsday is a super Menace at the moment (unbeaten although has been mainly used as Body guard to Flair, kinda like the Mountain from GOT)

The Game has been feuding with Pillman some great matches.

Kevin Sullivan has turned on Cactus. This cost them the Tag titles which went to Harlem Heat. Heat along with Teddy Long and Ron Simmons have formed the SWA (Suckas With Attitude), its a play on the NWA (N*ggas With Attitude) Heat come out to a reworked version of "Straight Out Of Crompton" called "Straight out of Harlem" while Simmons comes out to a reworking of "Express Yourself" called "Express Ya DAMN self"

Austin and Sunny have been a great partnership and Austin has set himself up well as a top Heel (his feud with Steamboat helped with that). So he'll be a big focus going into 95, infact my top half of the roster is pretty healthy, its the middle part I need to resolve, which im actively looking at, especially the Tag Division.

So I just need to get StarCade out the way and 95 could be a bumper year. Now to work out who will win the Main Event lol

<p>Just booked an angle, which was probably the funnest angle I've booked.</p><p> </p><p>

It started off with GM Daniel Bryan annoucing that Rusev will take on Cena and AJ Styles in a Triple Threat match, to determine the Number 1 contender at Armageddon. The next week, halfway through the show, Owens storms into Bryan's Office off the back of two PPV title losses to WWE Champion Seth Rollins, and demands to be added to the match, and Bryan refuses, KO then threatens to ruin the show.</p><p> </p><p>

The next match is Tyler Breeze vs Kalisto, and Owens runs out mid match, and hits both guys with chairs, causing a double disqualification, Owens then throws them out of the ring, and places the chair down and sits in the middle of the ring, refusing to move. This goes on until Security Personnel are sent out tot ry and move him, and Owens threatens to hit them if they get any closer. Bryan then comes out, and threatens to fire Owens, right that instant if he doesn't move. Owens grabs his chair and sits at commentary for the rest of the show.</p><p> </p><p>

The next match is between Cesaro and Dean Ambrose, once again mid match, KO causes a double DQ, this time he grabs the referee and throws him out of the ring, and sets him up for a Powerbomb through the announce table, but Bryan runs out just in time, and pushes Owens away. Owens pushes Bryan back and they get into eachothers faces, before Agents break them up. Owens threatens legal action if Bryan touches him again. Once again, Owens sits at commentary.</p><p> </p><p>

A few promos happen, and then AJ, Cena and Rusev come out for the main event, 20 minutes into the match, Owens lays out all three men, and Rusev eventually covers Cena, getting the win. Bryan then comes out, and offers Kevin Owens a deal, if Kevin Owens defeats the intercontinental champion Sami Zayn in the main event next week, then he's in the main event. I plan to have this finish as a double count out. This will lead to Rollins ironically saying he'll take all 6 men on at once, and Bryan makes the match a 6 man Hell in a Cell.</p>

<p>Just finished up 2023 on my C-Verse 0/0/0 game (money is no object). I'm at regional in the Mid South.</p><p>

On my last show of the year, I got this little gem in the main event. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx41/LordBarros/FirstAMatch_zpsuh4s6ter.png</span></p><p> </p><p>

Fluffy is based on my rl wrestling character. He's also the figurehead (the only one qualified).</p><p> </p><p>

Edna Mae (originally Edna Acid) is a regen who debuted in 2017 from one of the WWA dojos. I jobbed her out for a few years and then slowly brought her up, currently at Upper Midcard.</p><p> </p><p>

This is my FIRST A rated match of the save. And for it to be these two is pretty kewl.</p>

<p>Just signed Champagne Lover in by TCW game! I am pretty excited. 3 months ago I was able to steal Remo from SWF. I know have 8 of the top 10 overall wrestlers in the United States in </p><p> </p><p>

1. Rocky Golden</p><p>

2. Wolf Hawkins</p><p>

3. Remo</p><p>

4. Champagne Lover</p><p>

5. Sammy Bach</p><p>

6. Jay Chord</p><p>

7. Eddie Peak</p><p>

8. Joshua Taylor</p><p> </p><p>

Now I just need to figure out which Brand to put him on. I have 1 brand dedicated to more entertainment lead by Rocky and one brand dedicated to more in ring with Wolf Hawkins. I am leaning towards the entertainment side but the thought of Champagne vs Wolf/Taylor/Chord/Bach/Shaffer/Andrews is appealing.</p>

I do want him to be a babyface, though, the roster is still too heel heavy. Don't want him to be the ol' white meat. I'll come up with something. </p><p> </p><p>

Roddy Piper signed a new deal with me, WCW came in, but he was having none of it. Bid failed next day. Savage vs Piper will be the lead program going forward. World title match at Summerslam. No match made in heaven here, folks. No match made in hell either. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm going to keep it like real life and only do 5 (including king of the ring) ppvs a year. Long old build to Summerslam now, but like WCW and clash of the champions, I will have Saturday night main event. The next one will be headlined by Perfect vs Boss Man. IC title on the line. Cage match.</p>

<p>Since we are WWF and we are making movies. I was watching The Man teach The Kid a lesson in Cincinnati Kid. Time for my own twist. </p><p> </p><p>

In my world, Saturday Night Main event will have several angles going on through the night, a high stakes poker game is taking place. Ted Dibiase is running the game and playing in it. I'm going to make him 'The Man', other players including Nasty Boys, Jake Roberts, Tito Santana (come on. I never give Tito a break. Time to change that. For one night only) Razor Ramon, Bret Hart, etc. </p><p> </p><p>

But who is this guy that will take all their money? </p><p> </p><p>

That's right. Chris Jericho will be my Steve McQueen, baby. I figure I'll put a couple of women with him. He will sort of be the anti hero before anti hero was cool. Well, not so much an anti hero, just a cool dude that is good at playing poker. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Virgil will get blamed, of course. </p><p> </p><p>

To follow up from that. This starts off a Dibiase vs Jericho feud. Virgil will wrestle Jericho a couple of times before the Jericho vs Dibiase match at Summerslam. Jericho had this to say about Virgil ''he is a permanent Bad beat.''</p><p> </p><p>

I feel like this could work. Gives him instant locker room cred.</p><p> </p><p>

That awkward moment when you have been giving Jim Duggan wins, sort of pushing him discretely and he has entered the main event list. This will be used to my benefit. Undertaker vs Jim Duggan at SNME. I think the Undertaker will win. Do you? Do you really? aww damn, just thinking, I'd like The Undertaker to be part of the poker game. Awk well, maybe next time.</p><p>

(60/100 and negative chemistry. Early 90s Taker for sure. And Jim Duggan. Just meh to Jim Duggan.)</p><p> </p><p>

The billion dollar question. Can I make a success of Steve Williams? No JR to tell me how amazing he is, before he gets knocked out in brawl for all, haha that wont be happening. I do remember tag team matches against the Steiners being very good, but that is pretty much all I saw of prime Steve Williams. We shall see. I haven't even got him yet, but he is what I was looking for in my search. WCW just beat me to Rick Rude. Much like real life, signing everybody and being stupid. Already down to cult in record time.</p>
