What's going on in your game?

<p>In 2021 of an Impact save, and pretty much out of nowhere NJPW have gotten themselves into a mess financially. They released a number of small names a few months ago, but randomly Okada was part of that. Came at a decent time for me, as I was planning on having Adam Cole drop the title at Bound for Glory after a year and a half long reign, but wasn't sure who to drop it to, so thankfully Okada will be that person.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, their finances seemed to continue to worsen, and now 2 months before Bound for Glory I have managed to completely take over them. Unfortunately, due to the rise of a few other Japanese promotions and some career ending injuries, there aren't actually that many people on their roster I have any interest in using. Was thinking of doing an invasion of such, but probably just going to end up doing a merge of the two companies at Wrestle Kingdom.</p>

<p>After finally reaching international level with AWA I decided to finally abandon AWA Championship Wrestling as my A-Show and debuted a new A-Show in it's place. Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to AWA <span style="color:#0000FF;"><em><strong>Thunder!</strong></em></span> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Here is the first ever rating for my newest A-Show:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Granted, I've gotten much better ratings in the past on my A-Show but glad to see that the debut episode of Thunder got off to a great start!</p>

<p>AWA- Masters Of Muscles PPV was a success, I've had much better ratings than this on PPV but I'm still happy with this result however. Mainly surprised with the main event of Sting vs. Meng pulling a 94 rating in my own created match type named 'The Tongan Playground' Sting is currently feuding with The Dungeon Of Doom-- But none of that stupid WCW crap, this Dungeon Of Doom consists of: Diesel, The Cremator <strong>(WWE Kane),</strong> Meng and The Giant and two managers which are Paul Heyman and Lou Albano. Sting will probably end up defeating every member of the stable apart from The Giant who recently debuted in the game world and of course is being booked as an unstoppable giant.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Also, Here is the PPV rating: </strong> <a href="https://gyazo.com/4f506c635ec08bd4cda2d0a5e5ad3d1c" rel="external nofollow">https://gyazo.com/4f506c635ec08bd4cda2d0a5e5ad3d1c</a></p>

I'm actually booking one of my favorite storylines so far... The Rock versus Goldust.

I'm playing the Art of War mod, which starts in June 1998. The Rock won the WWF Championship at Survivor Series, defeating Mankind, Stone Cold and Triple H in an elimination 4-way match. In January 99, Mankind won the Royal Rumble, and will challenge Rock at 'Mania. But Rock still needed a challenger in February, and so Commisioner Shawn Michaels booked an opportunity Battle Royal, open for anyone who hasn't won a world title before in WWF. Goldust won and thus became contender. So far it's going great with Goldust's antics and Rock's promo skills. I kinda love this feud :p

<p>On my 2017 rw mod I have Seth as universal champion, he's in</p><p>

The middle of a fued with dolph ziggler who's on a final push before I move him down the card. On Smackdown live brand john cena won the world title from randy orton who's contract is up in 2 weeks and has just got his 3rd strike from the wellness policy and will be moving on. Luckily dean Ambrose is flying after his heel turn and gaining pop like crazy. He just needs to keep an eye on a hugely popular Sami zain and mr money on the bank Kevin Owens.</p>

<p>Joshua Taylor & Art Reed hit the ground running as the hottest tag team in TCW. Excellent Chemistry! In only two months of teaming, Taylor & Reed raced up the tag rankings and defeated the dominant champs, The Syndicate's Jay Chord & Edd Stone.</p><p> </p><p>

Annnnnddd Joshua Taylor breaks his ankle just days before the big tag team rematch. Oooofffff. Big time downer.</p><p> </p><p>

Only good thing is that I can now build an awesome tournament bracket to crown new champions.</p>

<p>Well, I've been busy lately so I haven't had the time to really sink my teeth into my CV97 TCW game. But I did just finish up Total Mayhem IV. The year is 2006.</p><p> </p><p>

The card was pretty big overall, and had a few key moments and long term storylines ending. This will be the last "Pop > Perf" Total Mayhem as well.</p><p> </p><p>

The card didn't get a 100, which upset me greatly. </p><p> </p><p>

The Card is in order!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Savage Fury © (Tribal Warrior + Java) def. 3 other teams to retain the Tag Titles - 82 </strong></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: Nothing special, Java and Tribal Warrior both became good workers over their time in Japan and I poached them and made them instantly take the titles, they won the annual 4 way tag team title match that I have every time unless called for. They will likely remain a dominant duo for now.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Valiant def. Antonio Maxi Marquez © for the TCW International Title - 90</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: AMM is Champagne Lover btw, who is playing a party hard heel. Hes been taking his duties less seriously as he won and Valiant went to stop him, Valiant came up short and if Valiant lost again he'd have to give up his paragon ways. Valiant won, this is his first title since TCW opened, and well, I am neutral. I just wanted AMM to move on to better things as I prepare for the Champagne Lover persona.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RDJ def. Jim Force, Tadakuni Toshusai, Allan Baroni (regen), Tommy Cornell, and Leroy Lewis (regen) in a ladder match for the TCW Golden Ticket (MITB) - 76 </strong></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: RDJ's debut match, was only rated 76... Tadakuni (for whatever reason) and Jim complained, tbh though Jim's let me down and that was Tadakuni's second match with me. I wanted Ricky to win as I have a few other cowboys in development and if Texas Pete can get sober I can start a stable. I love stable wars. RDJ needed some cred. The MITB is a great platform for midcard to main event.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Abaddon (my UC) def. Joey Minnesota - 95 </strong></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: I believe King Bison did the render I use for Abaddon, who is basically the Undertaker and Kane in one. I'm going for the streak as I am a fanboy so this makes him 4-0. Sadly Joey was fodder. But hey Undertaker didn't have Shawn Michaels every year, so my guy can't have Jack Bruce or Christian Faith every year.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Superfly defeated basically all my main event status CWs to win the Cruiserweight Title in an Elimination Chamber match - 92</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: Well, Superfly got his moment. I've had him since the start and robbed him of superstardom in Mexico... decided to pull the trigger. Not much else to say as I'm struggling to build up my Cruiserweights and Superfly was in a good spot to take the boost the title is gonna give him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rich Money Inc (Rich, James King, Steven Parker, Squeeky McClean) defeated Haruki Kudo, Izo Tokudome, Jack DeColt, Rocky Golden in Total Mayhem - 84</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: Kudo's team might seem weird but Golden and Jack tried for the titles and Izo was screwed out of a title shot by James. Simple. Now... Kudo is 42, almost 43. Time decline is comin' and Kudo is gonna get another world title shot or tag title shot as a "thank you" for sure, but now... his wins mean less. He is now on the "put younger people over" status, but he is still not quite "ET to the stars" I'd say he is like... where Tanahashi is today.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jack Bruce defeated Phillip Roberts - 95</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: This is a major storyline of over a year ending. Roberts was a low midcard nobody who answered Bruce's open challenge and beat him. Bruce went away after (movie) and returned and wanted vengeance. Roberts is now a main event star and Bruce was 99 pop worldwide. Obvious what happens here. Bruce won and I admit the match could have been better! But oh well!</p><p> </p><p>

Christian Faith © defeated Enygma in a Title vs. Mask match! - 98</p><p> </p><p>

Comments: I admit it wasn't easy getting Enygma unmasked but I got it. lol. Either way, this was a great moment. Enygma will be unmasked and go on a hellbent killer heel storyline. Christian Faith will likely lose his title before January (its September) and that'll be that. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Overall the show got a 99. I enjoyed bookin it. Going to move forward and slowly shift my product to a more perf > pop based product and now I will be releasing some useless workers like I do every September.</p>

<p>The year is 2011 in my Modern Japan Pro Wrestling CV97 game.</p><p> </p><p>

Coming off my best show KING OF CHAMPIONS 14 (98 rating) I followed it up with the annual Grand Prix Climax and have two storylines running in it.</p><p> </p><p>

The first is Kinnoji Horri's rise, by losing every single one of his rounds. Idea is that he just had a year long run with the Young Tigers title and now after proving to be the best in the midcard he is trying to move up as a main eventer only to find the challenge much, much harder. Because of his poor performance he going to try something foolish and actually challenge Hooded Kudo to a match at my Summerslam/Dominion like show GOLDEN HISTORY FIGHT. This is a big deal in my game because since 2008 Hooded Kudo has been on an undefeated steak. I'm actually not certain what I'm going to do with this match as I'm trying to set Horri up as my future ace and Hooded Kudo is number 1 on my time decline list. But I actually wanted to slow build this feud and have Horri beat Kudo at KING OF CHAMPIONS 15. So don't know might have to rush this story and have Horri shockingly win at GHF and win the UNIFIED belt at KoC instead.</p><p> </p><p>

As for the actual winner of this match decided it's going to be Tasuku Iesada. This guy has been in the finals before but never won it. Even better his opponent will be my user character Akira Nakamura his biggest rival and who also holds the record of having the most Grand Prix Climax finals victory, at 4. The story leading up to it is event better as Akira Nakamura was the clear leader in his block will Iesada was for a good part of it tied with Eisaku Kunomesu, Hirokumi Saito and somebody else who I can't quite remember. In fact the only reason Iesada made it to the finals was because Eisaku Kunomasu went to a time limit draw with Shuji Inukai.</p><p> </p><p>

And as for the UNIFIED Champion, my top belt in the promotion well at the moment it is currently held by Reaver (Hell Monkey) who interestingly enough is in the same stable as Tasuku Iesada, so what will happen when Iesada wins the Grand Prix which gives him the right to challenge the UNIFIED Champion at GOLDEN HISTORY FIGHT. Well it's going to be a missed opportunity here as I'm booking Reaver to lose the belt to either Kunomesu or Takayuki 2000, who'll in turn drop it to Kunomesu, as his got his own storyline feud going on with Toshiharu Hyobanshi and as this post is already too long I won't go into the details lead to MJPW's first ever Cage match.</p>

<p>I'm playing an alt-history TCW where Tommy teamed up wih Sam Keith's MAW so he never left for Britain.</p><p> </p><p>

I managed to steal Champagne Lover from SOTBPW, for a cool $125k (plus wage matching. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />). Unfortunately, it turns out Rocky 'Whiner' Golden also had wage-matching, so he's now pulling $125k as well.</p><p> </p><p>

I've also snagged Rogue, Paul Huntingdon, Cameron Vessey, Matt Keith, Nicky Champion, and Casey Valentine, and helped SOTBPW steal Valient from SWF. I'm currently trying to hire KC Glenn. I'd be worried about salaries, but we're still making nearly a million a month in profit. USPW fell to cult, and SWF is hanging on by a single point.</p><p> </p><p>

The biggest concern right now is Time Decline. So much of my midcard and higher are either declining or getting close. Buffalo, RDJ, Joel Bryant, Bryan Vessey, Eddie Peak, Giant Tana, Human Arsenal, and Brent Hill have all started. Even Rogue (who was worth it just for the pop) is already dropping like a rock. Building up a new roster around Wolf Hawkins, Matt Keith, Aaron Andrews and Jay Chord is becoming a priority. Killer Shark is, somehow, one of our top 3 Hottest Prospects.</p><p> </p><p>

In storylines, we just held Total Mayhem XX.</p><p> </p><p>

Rocky Golden won a Heavyweight title match against Aaron Andrews by DQ due to Cornell's interference. That was his third failed attempt to take the title, so Cornell says he should lose the chance, but he's fighting to argue that the interference resets that.</p><p> </p><p>

Sammy Bach lost to Eddie Peak (who was hired by Cameron Vessey to avenge his brother's loss), and then was saved from a Rogue sneak-attack by Champagne Lover, who turned the save into his debut match against Rogue.</p><p> </p><p>

The Incorruptable Nicky Champion beat Rich Money in a cage match thanks to Matt Keith policing the ring. Keith then fought Killer Shark and won. (Champion and Keith are currently feuding with Rich Money and Marc Speed. Shark is serving as Money's goon.)</p><p> </p><p>

The Canadian Animals lost to Devine Fortune, which then led to the Animals having a breakup match, with Edd Stone turning face, frustrated that Freddy Huggins' obsession with Chance Fortune is making him weak.</p><p> </p><p>

RDJ beat American Buffalo thanks to Floyd Goldworthy tripping his own client, in revenge for Buffalo attacking him during the previous show.</p><p> </p><p>

And Troy Tornado, Benny Benson and Joey Minnesota fighting over Tornado's cheating ways. I'm honestly not sure how to end this one, since I'd like to start booking a Minnesota/Taylor vs Hawkins/Huntingdon feud.</p>

I had high hopes for AJ Styles going in to my 2001 WCW game, but man, has he had a rough start to his career. Less than 2 months in, in February 2001, he breaks his neck on a NWA Wildside TV taping. He's out for over a year. He returns in March 2002, has a brief run as NWA Wildside Champion before he's called up to the main roster in July. The night after his review, he tests positive for painkillers. I send him to rehab for 6 months.By the time he gets out of rehab, he'll have had less than 4 active months in a 2-year old game.

<p>The final PPV of '95 is complete which is the annual Lord Of The Ring PPV which is a 8-Man tournament with the winner getting a title shot against the AWA World Champion at the January PPV, Rage In The Cage.</p><p> </p><p>

This PPV is always successful and this years version was no different which was headlined by a Pillman vs. Austin main event. Pillman had won the tournament in '94 and went on to defeat Shawn Michaels in January for the world title however Pillman could not get the job done this year, falling short to Austin who also on the show gives an infamous interview to begin the creation of the 'Stone Cold' character. </p><p> </p><p>

Due to Sting currently feuding with The Dungeon Of Doom, Austin will not be taking the title off him in January but his time will come very soon. Sting didn't have a very good match with The Cremator but I'm not surprised as they have bad chemistry together. Sting has now defeated 3 of the 5 Dungeon Of Doom members (Meng, Yugi Nagata and The Cremator) Next he will face Diesel then The Giant will win the March Over The Edge Royal rumble to get the right to face Sting for the world title at the biggest AWA show, SuperClash in May. </p><p> </p><p>

This save has been going for a very long time now, almost hit 9 in-game years which is the most years I've ever played in a TEW game. </p><p> </p><p>

And as always for those interested in the card result and the participants in this years AWA Lord Of The Ring tournament then </p><p> </p><p>

<p>This SHIMMER save is nuts. Just hit Cult and I'm poaching talent from NXT and WWE like it's nothing! Now granted, I value them a lot higher than WWE does but in past games, there was no way I could do this, due primarily to the size difference.</p><p> </p><p>

Tues W1 July 2017 - KC Cassidy (Peyton Royce)</p><p>

Sat W1 July 2017 - Davina Rose (Bayley)</p><p>

Mon W3 July 2017 - Jessie McKay (Billie Kay)</p><p>

Sat W3 July 2017 - Nattie Neidhart (Natalya)</p><p>

Sun W4 July 2017 - Heidi Lovelace (Ruby Riot)</p><p>

Tues W2 August 2017 - Demi Bennett (Rhea Ripley)</p><p> </p><p>

I didn't expect to be able to get Nattie or Bayley but WWE lowballed them SO bad that I had no choice but to take them. Nattie was offered $3870/month and Bayley was offered $2370. I went in for Bayley at $5k and Nattie at $8k. Then I got scared when they came after Gail Kim but even though they beat my offer (SWA: $20k/mo, WWE: $21,780), she's not even considering their offer. Impact (her other current employer) offered her a PPA deal of $2200 per appearance, which is WAY below what her employment tab says she's worth ($3,100).</p><p> </p><p>

As a result of all of that, this save has gone all sideways. My plans coming into it didn't include ANYBODY in WWE but I'm having to adjust to all this new talent. And this happened just <strong><em>after</em></strong> I started a Lucha division (for a planned push into Mexico). I may have to add another TV show to fit all these people in. But adding Nattie gives me an idea for a second generation stable. Her, Tessa Blanchard, Hana Kimura, Mikala Smith, Miss Natural (Heather Patera), Jessie Belle (Smothers), and Rachael Ellering should make for the best heel stable in the company. Can't get Shaul Guerrero or Cheerleader Melissa or Ayako Hamada since they got poached by The Crash in like the third week of the save. But I just locked up Sexy Star so I guess that's some consolation.</p><p> </p><p>

But while writing this, I think I just won TEW!</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/NcsEDoa.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

(For those who don't know, Kana is Asuka)</p><p> </p><p>

I've got a roster full of dream matches, which makes it easy to screw everything up. Now I'm writing everything out longhand. Primary storylines, secondary storylines, tertiary storylines, filler storylines, who gets what belt when and for how long, everything. I'm trying to resist the temptation to open a dev fed and just stash everyone who isn't ready to headline, down there. I'm very much a 'out of sight, out of mind' type when it comes to workers. I'll forget I even have the youngsters, until they complain about being in development.</p><p> </p><p>

Aside from the additional plans (I've basically had to completely discard the plans I had when I started the save), this is turning out to be pretty fun.</p>

<p>FAI 16: Fright Night is in the books and after a year of buying up territories and putting on excellent events, Fight Academy Ireland has cemented itself as the firm number 2 in British wrestling, right behind Insane Championship Wrestling. The thing is, ICW just left the International Wrestling Alliance to form the Real Quality Wrestling alliance with IPW: UK. Fight Academy Ireland was already at war with IPW: UK and after this act, FAI owner, Conor McGregor has decided that ICW must be dealt with and has declared war on them too.</p><p> </p><p>

The Kings of the North stand dominant atop the mountain in FAI, with FAI Champion, Damien Corvin and the holders of the FAI Best Mates Championships, Bonesaw & Dunkan Disorderly, they look unbeatable right now. On the next episode of FAI presents THE BIG SCRAP, the Kings must defend their titles against the London Riots, who after a shaky first couple of matches in the company, have found their footing. Defeating the South Pacific Power Trip in a hellacious match at Fright Night. Corvin himself will face his toughest task yet in 2 months, at the FAI 1st birthday event, when he defends his title against FAI owner, Conor McGregor. McGregor has a very impressive record in MMA, but Corvin has a good 65 pounds on Conor and is pure muscle, and not to mention he is the taller of the two by 7 inches. It is sure to be a classic.</p><p> </p><p>

The IWA World Champion, Travis Banks has himself had an excellent year, claiming the IWA World Championship from Lionheart in July and beating names such as Naomichi Marufuji, Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, and not to mention defeating Jun Akiyama during a tour with AJPW. In a few weeks time, 8 men will compete in The Prizefighter tournament, with the winner getting a shot at Travis Banks at the FAI 1st birthday show. The tournament includes names such as Matt Riddle, Go Shiozaki, Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre Jr. and most notably, Banks' tag team partner, TK Cooper. There were signs of some dissension between the South Pacific Power Trip at Fright Night, could TK possibly be the one that dethrones Travis?</p><p> </p><p>

The womens division is also on the rise. The winner of the inaugural Queen of the Graps tournament, and the first ever FAI Womens Champion, Dahlia Black, has enjoyed a great 2017, defeating names such as Session Moth Martina, Toni Storm, and Kay Lee Ray in a gruelling war at Fright Night. Dahlia and Kay Lee Ray beat the hell out of each other, and thus both are currently out of action. Kay Lee was stretchered out of the building and taken to a local hospital after their No DQ match at Fright Night, but sources close to her believes that she is not finished with Dahlia Black. Add into the mix, Saraya Knight and her protege, Xia Brookside, are coming off a very impressive win at Fright Night over Cheerleader Melissa and Candice LeRae, you know that they both will be looking for a shot at the gold sometime soon</p><p> </p><p>

To keep track on Fight Academy Ireland, you can read along here:</p><p>

For a lot of people, workers don't exist until they enter WWE's orbit. I remember watching Sterling James Keenan at an indy show (and he was good) but most people only know him as Corey Graves.</p><p> </p><p> Syuri can't go to MMA, I don't think, since in many mods (especially those using Fleisch's data), she's set up as the owner of REINA. Not sure if owners can go away for long periods of time. I have Makoto (who's set as the booker of REINA) on the roster but have only brought Syuri in for occasional one-offs. But even without Syuri, Kana will be busy. First, a short program with Lisa Varon (ala Undertaker leading to Mania short) then Tsubasa Kuragaki, Shayna Baszler, and Allysin Kay before she turns her attention to the world title. I need to keep her hot for 6.5 months until Io Shirai comes back (C7 Cervical Spine Compression). Kana will form a stable (Kitsune Inari) and Io will make her triumphant return helping them against my user character's stable (Awesome Kong, Aja Kong, Goya Kong, Van Kong [Vanessa Kraven], Roni Nicole, Lei'd Tapa, HAVOK, Viper, and Anya).</p><p> </p><p> I'd make her the figurehead but this mod has her with relatively low star quality (73) so there are some people on the roster (or available to be signed) with more. We'll see how things develop.</p>

I'm just over a year into my Cverse 97 game and HGC (will soon be TCW) stole Christian Faith about 6 months in. Just this month, they signed away Rory McCallum. They've been on the upswing the last 5 months consistenly putting on shows 83 or over. The events being around 87 to 88. SWF meanwhile is struggling to get anything 80 or over in the last 4 months. It's been fun to watch as i run my little Northwest Local company.

NJPW, currently booking the World Tag League. I made it a 16-team Single Elimination tournament split in three events - Round of 16, Quarter Finals and the Finals, which will also have the Semi-Finals.

Anyways, GFW put the Global title on Scott Steiner. This popped up literally 2 weeks after he won it.

<p>Have been blitzing through a modern day WWE save recently and have been having a blast getting the women's division over.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm now approaching Mania 2018 and i'm strongly considering splitting the brands on gender. Asuka, Becky, Charlotte and Io are all at the 90 pop mark, with Alexa, Carmella, Kairi and Sasha all hovering around 80 so it seems like a good time to do it.</p><p> </p><p>

I have like 2 months til Mania so i'm just scrambling to put together random teams on house shows and NXT to try and find some chemistry to fill out a women's tag team division.</p><p> </p><p>

Exciting times ahead!</p>

going through my game, im in the month of may in my second year of the Cverse 97 mod. Sam Keith was just Released from SWF for making homophobic comments. This now leaves SWF with 0 Icons against HGC's 4. SWF is just going even further down.

In other News, Steve Flash now holds the NOTBPW Canadian Title, and The CGC world title. In essence making him a Undisputed champion of Canadian Wrestling.

Flash should unify them by wrestling himself. that would be a very CGC thing to do.

<p>That was... disappointing.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/1WnQXtF.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Looking forward, the next week of shows will have both brands for a shake-up of sorts, though not many big names will be switching. Law will get Joss Thompson in a couple of weeks, then Casey Valentine. Khoklov's on a Special Attraction deal now, so he'll disappear for a while. Frehley's win is now the start of his face turn, which will be solidified when Wolf Hawkins arrives.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm legit shocked The Money Players retained.</p><p> </p><p>

The final four in the battle royal were Bach, T-Rex, Caulfield(?) and Ross Henry(!), who was a one-night call-up to make up the numbers.</p><p> </p><p>

----</p><p> </p><p>

Now's a good time to talk about the rest of the world.</p><p> </p><p>

Running an OLLIE game alongside this one. My UC is Cique Jr, who I also made the owner because of the uncertain future ownership situation. Mexico's interesting because MPWF's closure left some decent talent on the street even though a lot of their guys got picked up. SOTBPW came for Hijo del Mephisto and Mr. Lucha III early, so I had to find a new champion, and it ended up being Gino Montero, which probably isn't a surprise in retrospect.</p><p> </p><p>

Phoenix I left us in May to take over as the owner of SOTBPW after Jorge Ibanez died. His son, Phoenix IV, currently holds the tag belts with El Hijo Espada Roja. In another twist, Extraordinario Jr is <em>sort of</em> following in his father's footsteps, as he's now working for CGC as well, of all places.</p><p> </p><p>

(Yes, I have signed El Mitico Jr.)</p><p> </p><p>

Nicolas Lopez held the COTT World title for two years before losing it. He's still at the top of cards but his inconsistency is becoming more and more noticeable. La Sombra Jr now holds the COTT belt after I broke up the Shadow Riders. Electric Dreamer finally ended Mystery Pink's seemingly interminable reign (that was only a year) as Campeonato de las Mujeres.</p><p> </p><p>

We got TV (Canal Tres) two months ago.</p><p> </p><p>

---</p><p> </p><p>

TCW finally pulled the trigger on Jay Chord, putting him over Hawkins for the title at Total Mayhem 20. Angry Gilmore is now on his second reign as SWF World champion after beating Rocky Golden. After I fired Petr Novak for his third failed steroids test, he went back to NYCW as Novak and won the Empire title.</p><p> </p><p>

RIPW and MAW have a working agreement, which is... odd.</p><p> </p><p>

Nobody's closed up shop yet, though BCG is is bad shape.</p>

I'm only a month into the save so not a big update. Playing as WCW in a tweaked version of the WCW Lives mod. A tweaked tweak to be more accurate as I updated the tweak (with a different ownership) to start in January 2002 with Mark Cuban as WCW owner. Company is still a mess.

Even without a ton of talent, the first month went pretty well. Company is Cult so grades don't have to be amazing to grow. I opened up four local promotions for developmental and filled them by raiding the indy scene. All four are set up as touring companies. In some past saves and tests, these companies can grow pretty quickly - especially if its a performance-based product, which it isn't this time. First few shows have been... about what was expected. They don't have a lot of popularity on the roster... yet.

With Nitro on HDNet (hence Mark Cuban as the owner), I added a B show. WCW Underground. I also decided to run a 8-person cruiserweight tournament, which will become an annual 16-man event. I pulled a couple of the developmental prospects up to participate - Christopher Daniels and Bryan Danielson. Borrow from Development is something I've used only a bit on previous saves. But oh my, I might end up abusing it. I've called up a few of them up for appearances on the B show. Losses. But their popularity shoots up even in a 6-minute loss to a midcarder. So guys who started at literally 0 popularity across the board are into E, E+ or even D- popularity quite quickly. That's a fun mechanism at work.

I don't want to go too overboard and make it exploitive, but I can see using that quite a bit going forward. It gets the popularity of the prospects up. That helps the developmental companies put on better shows and grow. It helps make the prospects to be more ready for the main roster when they have developed enough.

Also been using the hire a local quite a bit to bring it dark match jobbers to give wins to the lower card. Almost everyone has positive momentum because of that.

The roster will get more interesting in the coming months. I was able to add Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. Ric Flair has returned. Raven (my one "I just enjoy booking him" concession on the roster) is turning into the companies top heel. Sting is already on the roster but unavailable for a few months. Goldberg will become available in a few months. I was able to sign Shawn Michaels in previous saves but he got snapped up by the WWF this time.

Making pretty good money, and if I focus on building the talent I've signed up, that should continue. My target was to get the $12m needed to start a subscription broadcaster for the US at the tiny size. That wouldn't help the broadcasting for the company itself much, but it would get the developmental companies on their air. Did some testing on that awhile back. Even on a Tiny broadcaster, having the developmental companies on their air can get top prospects up into the C range of popularity. So they walk into the company as a midcarder, basically. I'm just debating if I should start the subscription broadcaster as soon as possible, then worry about expanding it later (more expensive in the long term) or save up more to open it up bigger and wide (will take longer). Decisions decisions...
