What's going on in your game?

I'm not surprised, actually. High Spots as a match aim are broken in TEW. While most match types rely on several stats, High Spots heavily correlates with only two: Aerial and [mostly] Flashiness. These attributes tend not to occur with overness, psychology or size,

You/re unlikely to get hurt much due to a lack psychology, because in these matches, lacking psychology is part of the appeal.

Not only are high spots matches much less hard to pull off, the workers are much easier to find and much less expensive than other match aims.

Y'know. I never thought of that. It wouldn't work in my MAW, I don't think, because we don't value aerial and flashiness. I may have to give it a try!

I actually never use high spots as a match type. The A rating is more due to Edd Stone being an A pop in that region, Flash being i think a C- or something, both having pretty damn good stats all around, and going into the event with a decent storyline rating, Both guys having a high gimmick rating, and my Product settings def more in favor of high flying and tech and less so brawling.

And yes, Stone is absolutely ripping it up in my fed. Thats why I agreed to give him a LOADED contract to keep him from signing with NOTBW and leaving. Im paying everyone anywhre from 500 to about 1300 per show with no downside, and Edd Stone is getting paid 7k per show, gaurenteed downside of 30k, wage matching, creative control, and hiring veto, promised to be used as an icon, and prob some other perk im forgetting. Im literally giving him anything he wants until I can get to Cult and lock him down with a written contract. Him leaving would basically destroy my entire show. Hes pretty much my 80s era Hulk Hogan. Entire fed is built around him.

It's worth nothing high spots matches can't exceed 15 minutes and can be capped for short match length.

This is exactly why I never use high spots. I book longer matches. The only time I book something less than 15 minutes really is for a squash match or in the rare times that I have an older/power guy with crap stamina and want to avoid that penalty, and in that case high spots wouldnt really fit.

As others have said, it can elevate a match for sure, and if you have guys who don't have the ability to slow build then high spots can be a useful bonus. You can also get regular 90s with it with top tier talent as well. It's definitely not something to completely disregard because of the limits.</p>

After getting bored of the RW mods I decided to do something completely different, I started to run Impact as Triple H. On the first episode with HHH in charge, I immediately made it so he had backup, the new authority, Moose and Johnny Impact stood by his side after making Austin Aries lose the World Championship. (I'm using Fleisch's Aug 2018 RWC Mod, sorry to see you go Fleisch!) I'm Now in November and have signed multiple WWE wrestlers and have made some stars of my own. By far my best TEW/EWR save ever.

<p>Ugh, I am very torn right now on what to do. Im currently 16 months into a huge Sam Keith vs Edd Stone fued. Pretty much Keith keeps bringing in guys to try to get the title off of Stone, and saying Stone is a disgrace to the family name as he is a high flying party guy instead of the traditional tech focused Stones. I just made plans to bring in the older brother, Duane Stone on an a talent loan from NOTBW. Well... I run 1 show, have keith announce that Stone will face a mystery partner that "knows how to uphold the stone name". The very next day....... Dan Stone dies at 73 years old. </p><p> </p><p>

I dont know what to do. Do I cancel the whole Duane Stone match since I didnt debut or announce yet? I was planning on having Duane be the heel since Edd Stone is Face. Seems a little disrespectful to have a family feud right after his death. Or..... I could do a Face vs Face match and have it be like a little memorial show? </p><p> </p><p>

I want some peoples opinions/votes.</p><p> </p><p>

1. Drop the whole thing and just have Stone fued with some other random heel.</p><p> </p><p>

2. Have a face vs face match and dedicate it to Dan Stone in a respectful memorial type show?</p><p> </p><p>

3. Go super tasteless and bring Dan Stones death into the storyline and have Keith and Duane get NUCLEAR heat by having them claim Edd Stones party attitude caused Dan Stones death?</p>

<p>I think option 2 is the one I would go for. Don't drop the angle or kayfabe but have Keith introduce Duane and have the brothers have a match. Duane can still play the heel but post-match have them hug and show respect to their dad. You could spin it and have Keith order both men to be attacked, and say that he realized now it's no Edd who isn't living up to the Stone name, the Stones are just a mockery of a wrestling family all together!</p><p> </p><p>

That can lead to Stone bringing in people from "real" wrestling Dynasties, like DeColts, Vesseys, or any other second generation guy who is available.</p>

<p>thanks! Those are great ideas from both of you. I am going to run a little mix of both suggestions. Im gonna have Edd vs Duane at this upcoming big end of the month event, but have Duane and Edd embrace in the ring afterwords. Ill have Keith come down and get mad that Duane couldnt get the job done and that he is sick of the Stone family. Have duane and edd double powerbomb Keith through a table.</p><p> </p><p>

This leads to a big Main event for the next month, Edd and Duane teaming up together one night only to try and win the WWL (Alliance that I created) tag belts together.</p><p> </p><p>

Ill then have Greg Gauge (Sam Keiths son incase anyone else reading isnt aware), run in and cost the Stones the tag titles.</p><p> </p><p>

Thiiiis leads into a Gauge vs Stone match and I can turn the whole feud from "Edd stone isnt living up to the stone legacy" into "Keith thinks his family is better than stones"</p><p> </p><p>

aaaaaaand then eventually somehow lead this into Edd Stone saying hes overcame every single legend, 2nd generation star, etc that Keith has brought in, and challenges Sam Keith himself for a 1 on 1 match to finally end by far the longest feud ive ever ran.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

You guys literally gave me like an extra 6-8 months out of this feud when I was debating ending it lol. Thanks.</p>

Which other second-gens do you have? You could bring in the likes of Cam Vessey, etc., from Sam's MAW days, maybe have Sam attack Greg for losing to Edd and set up Edd/Gauge vs. two others with the prize for the winner of the fall being a match with Sam. You could also spin that into an Edd vs Greg feud in the aftermath, provided you only officially turn Greg once.

Now that I read this, if you hadn't already posted half of your biggest storyline, this save would be fantastic for a diary. :)

3. Angry Gilmore, just started time decline</p><p> </p><p>

Right now, I have Duane Stone because he is Marcel LeFleur's mentor and he has been passing on some serious psychology improvements. Jack Bruce I just use his 100 popularity and have him lose to someone on the cusp of hitting the main event. (Masaru Ugaki got 10 pts in pop when he beat Jack Bruce, for example)</p><p> </p><p>

I am also hoping to get some "Once in a Lifetime" matches out of Bruce before he retires.</p>

<p>Playing as WWF in 1995. Played from September to mid-way through December so far.</p><p> </p><p>

The Kliq are dicks.</p><p> </p><p>

Shawn Michaels is so awful that I was forced to suspend him. He got dinged twice for hard drugs, both fines, and then he started a fight backstage with Michael Hayes. So, I suspended him. A week into his suspension, he hands in a 14 day notice. He's just parted way with me, while still on suspension, so I'm sure WCW will pick him up.</p><p> </p><p>

Kevin Nash is just as bad. I was in the middle of a push for Bam Bam Bigelow, he has decent menace and star quality stats, and WCW is killing me in the National Battles. That was put to an end when Nash managed to get around 7-8 other workers to have a negative relationship with Bigelow. Bam Bam already had negatives with the other Kliq members, and his contract was coming up. He's signed with WAR in Japan now, I hope he does well.</p><p> </p><p>

Scott Hall is on suspension for being dinged for a second time use of hard drugs. Thankfully, I got the 'Scott Hall has improved his behaviour' message and he was 'Very happy' with my decision, so I'm hoping he starts to improve soon with some tough love. I'd like to turn him into a title contender, but I can't risk it right now.</p><p> </p><p>

Sean Waltman, now under his real name, is a part of my newly founded Cruiserweight Division. He is very unhappy, mostly because his friends keep getting in trouble. He's not too important to me, so I'm not fussed if he decides to also leave, like HBK did.</p><p> </p><p>

Triple H is in my developmental company, so I've not had any run-ins with him yet...</p>

<p>My AJW save is still going pretty well, my second Tag League the Best has just finished and it was won by Satomura & iwata, setting them up to take on the champions Nattie Neidhart and Ayako Hamada who have become a ridiculously strong team that are pulling in great ratings.</p><p> </p><p>

Had an absolute blast booking this tag league, managed to mess around with chemistry in the year between these tournaments and was able to create a string of really interesting and fun teams that I'm excited to take forward. </p><p> </p><p>

The one bad thing is just before the final, disaster struck as Konami picked up a serious injury and so will be out for the best part of the year. This is especially annoying because I introduced the WWWA All Pacific title and she won it in a tournament but didn't actually get to make a defence, so that is hardly a great start for the title.</p>

<p>I'm cursed.... I went back to my 2008 Dragon Gate game I started in 2001.. Roster is a bit bloated so I went with a brand split (Dragon Pro & Dragon Gate)... fights ensued backstage, leading to me doing some drug testing to thin the heard...</p><p> </p><p>

K-Ness</p><p>

Yokosuka</p><p>

Kanda</p><p> </p><p>

All from the DG Brand, all part of the top heel stable got popped and sent to rehab...</p><p> </p><p>

Toru Yano</p><p>

Ultimo Dragon</p><p> </p><p>

got popped from Dragon Pro.... Ultimo was the authority figure...</p><p> </p><p>

Incidents continued leading to me taking a hardline stance.. Yoshino (Dragon Pro) quit, he was being positioned as the Ace of the brand...</p><p> </p><p>

A month later and more crazy stuff was going down... second hardline stance and the top heel of the Dragon Gate promotion, Naruki Doi opted to quit... He was head of team Doi, so as of now the top heel stable (which was weak already with Kanda, K-ness and Yokosuka's drug issues) has no name...</p>

Small update on my game. I asked for booking advice here a few days ago. I went ahead with the Duane Stone vs Edd Stone match to main event my big monthly show. I didnt get a PPV deal yet but I did manage a deal to broadcast on regional tv <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Los Deportes! I somehow pulled a B+ rating between these two. Edd Stone is just a legend in my game <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I swear I could throw him in there with Fearless Blue and still get a C+ lol

After a fight with then-CEO of TCW Kyle Rhodes, Marc Speed leaves TCW. He spends a few months with Invincible Pro Wrestling before North of the Border Pro Wrestling calls him up in February 2017. Shows his dedication by moving to Canada, spends most of 2017 rising out of the pre-show, featuring a show stealing match with Sean McFly. In 2018, he goes balls out and feuds with the best of NOTBPW including an Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team win with Harrison Hash which starts a big rivalry with NOTBPW Canadian champion Johnny Bloodstone. He finally beats Bloodstone for the title in November to become the new face of NOTBPW. </p><p> </p><p>

<p>Currently August 1996 for WCW. </p><p> </p><p>

Lots of action has taken place over the summer:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Great American Bash</strong> saw the return of Hogan only for him to be the mystery partner of The Outsiders. His turncoat gimmick got over really well, and thus the nWo is formed. </p><p> </p><p>

The GAB also saw Mark Callous win the World title from The Giant. Jeff Jarrett lost the US title to Ron Simmons. The Steiners retained the Tag titles over Harlem Heat. </p><p> </p><p>

The biggest news coming out of the PPV was Hogan agreeing to renew his contract. There are some within WCW that are upset to go beyond the initial 9 month contract offer, but considering WWF's run at Hogan, the organization had to settle on giving him a 4 year extension at what will be over $125k a month, which also means Hall and Nash's contracts bumped up to match it. </p><p> </p><p>

But with Hogan's importance to the nWo story line, and his value to the industry, WCW basically had to pay the money. </p><p> </p><p>

WCW also stole Jim Corrnette from WWF (though I have absolutely no idea what to do with him... I though about putting him with the Dudleys for some reason haha). </p><p> </p><p>

Interestingly, WWF stole Kevin Sullivan from WCW and saw him ring their King of the Ring tournament. So, congrats to him?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bash at the Beach</strong> was an interesting show. It saw Hogan defeat The Deadman. Callous has been being distracted some mysteriousness, and that along with the nWo cost him the title. </p><p> </p><p>

Sting and DDP lost to the Outsiders, and DDP is starting to become cynical of Sting. </p><p> </p><p>

As for the Horsemen, Anderson and Jarrett defeated the Steiners to take the Tag Titles. Between GAB and BatB, Benoit was sent to rehab, and the Horsemen brought in Ken Shamrock to take his place as part of the Horsemen and he debuted at BatB. (though the SOB, promptly lets me know that he'll be taking a MMA fight and will be leaving in 2 months ... which is fine, it'll work into the story).</p><p> </p><p>

As for the remaining titles, Simmons retained the US title. I need to ramp up his storylines as well, but he's kinda stuck while Regal finishes up with the kiddos. Speaking of the kiddos, they're in some type of weird almost alliance against Regal as Rocky Kavana defeated Regal for the World Heritage (formerly TV) title with some help from Bradshaw. And Jericho came up short against Mysterio again, one could say he's becoming frustrated (Jericho has been able to beat everyone expect ReyRey).</p><p> </p><p>

The next month leads up to <strong>the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic</strong>. The show saw the semi-finals of the Steiners vs Faces of Fear and the Outsiders vs Harlem Heat. </p><p> </p><p>

From there The Steiners and Outsiders advanced, and much to the chagrin of everyone there the Outsiders won. Dusty and Bockwinkle had to award the trophy to the Outsiders. They "graciously" accepted, only to drop the trophy on the way from the ring, putting a giant dent into it. </p><p> </p><p>

Also on the card, Sting defeated DDP. Afterward, Sting blasts DDP about needing to trust him. </p><p> </p><p>

The main event was a Fatal Four way between Ric Flair, Hogan, The Giant and Callous. Hogan was able to sneak away with the win, after Callous was again distracted by two cloaked individuals (one was a gigantic individual and the other much smaller). Side Note: the nWo debuted Queen Sable. She hasn't done much yet, expect being in attendance. </p><p> </p><p>

The crowd absolutely devoured the last three matches, and was probably the best show of the year for WCW. (though the rating was only an 89 because I was short on attractive women. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Elizabeth's contract expired and Woman is preggers, and Regal didn't have a match to bring out Lady Kimberly)</p><p> </p><p>

Also on the show, a returning Eddie Guerrero defeated Rey Mysterio for the Cruiser-X title (I can't wait for the hissy-fit that Jericho throws on Monday Night), and Simmons defeated Big Rig Ray Traylor to retain the US title. (The tag titles and Heritage titles were not defended). </p><p> </p><p>

It should be noted, that WWF is going hard after DDP. Not as hard as they were going after Hogan, but are definitely throwing some good money at the emerging, albeit older, superstar. </p><p> </p><p>

And WCW is making a push to bring back Sid, despite the disapprovals from Flair and Arn (as expected). </p><p> </p><p>

So now we head into Fall Brawl, which means WAR GAMES!! </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Champions</strong></p><p>

WCW World Champion: "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan</p><p>

WCW US Champion: Ron Simmons</p><p>

WCW World Tag Team: The Horsemen (Arn Anderson and Jeff Jarrett)</p><p>

Proud of my boi!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> This might be the first time I've seen Marc rise so high. He always did fit me as suitable for NOTBPW's next generation.</p>

<p>Been playing TEW since 2012, starting with the freeware than buying 2010, 2013 and 2016.</p><p> </p><p>

This game I've played with the 97 mod and is now Sunday Week 4 November 2013.</p><p> </p><p>

Got my first ever 100/A* grade rating for a show Modern Japan Pro Wrestling's KING OF CHAMPIONS 17.</p><p> </p><p>

Main Evented was Kinnojo Horri successsfully defending the UNIFIED Title against Tasuku Iesada rated 99</p><p> </p><p>

Co-Main Event Bruce the Giant's OUTLAW CLUB defeating Toshiharu Hyobanshi's Black Tiger faction in a Cage Warfare Match rated 91</p><p> </p><p>

And before that Yori Toyoshima defeating Yuma Maruya for the Queen of Dragons title rated 98.</p><p> </p><p>

Honestly was disappointed in the Cage Warfare as I was hoping for an A* Star match but still first-ever A* graded show for me in this franchise whoo.</p>
