As someone who’s got a save with OLLIE, I can’t tell you how happy it made me reading this.

Sadly in my save he’s still 2nd in the power 500

I'm glad my venting gave someone some pleasure. :D

It's good though, encourages more creative booking. I'll switch to the younger guys sooner.

<p>Alright. Just hit the 6 month line in my WCW 2000 mod.</p><p>

Things have stabilized, mostly.</p><p> </p><p>

Locker room morale is good. Or at least it was good before I started drug testing. Bam Bam and Buff got busted and sent to rehab. Bam Bam's contract is coming up, but he's in the early stages of decline so I'm cutting him loose. Bryan Adams and Paul Orndorf got busted for steroids. I reprimanded them but doubt it will help. I've decided to stop testing steroids for now. Lodi and Kanyon came back from rehab, but took morale down a notch when they both wrestled noticeably impaired. I sent Kanyon back to rehab and released Lodi. Unfair maybe. But Kanyon is just more useful (also now he's loyal to me). I went as far as to resign Kanyon while he's in rehab for 9 months, but if he wrestles hot again he's done.</p><p> </p><p>

Hulk Hogan took Johnny the Bull under his wing. This was a bad thing as Johnny the Bull became a negative influence backstage. I didn't renew his contract because really, it's Johnny the Bull. Hulk is upset because he's the guy I put against Kanyon is an ill-advised attempt to drive Hogan to ask for his release by driving his morale down. Unfortunately Hogan is still an asset in the short term. So now he's upset and trying to pay him off is really difficult because his contract is so valuable normal bonuses don't even register to him.</p><p> </p><p>

Nash decided to try starting rumors against Regal. I fined him for it. He's mad at me now. I don't care. I already had to cut the Armstrongs loose because of hm.</p><p> </p><p>

Sid is on vacation (again) because his morale is shot, he's implacable because he gets a morale ding almost every show because he feels isolated in the locker room and thanks to Ric Flair he has negative relationships with 7 workers backstage.</p><p> </p><p>

The WWF is still miles ahead of me in terms of popularity. Not only that but when I rise to national again I am in serious danger of getting my momentum crushed on account of Rock/Austin's nigh perfect national battle scores. I haven't been able to sign any talent away from them yet. I had my chance with Rikishi and Kane, but I didn't really want Rikishi or Kane. The good news is in my 6 month cult exile I've improved significantly and until Austin returns from his injury I'm actually winning the national battles. Unfortunately my young guys simply lack the star quality to compete with Austin/Rock's star quality. (Goldberg is 89 Star Quality if you're wondering). In order to eventually overtake the WWF I'm simply going to have to steal the Rock.</p><p> </p><p>

Despite the WWF being more popular I still have the show of the half year.</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="https://imgur.com/zoPhqbY" rel="external nofollow">https://imgur.com/zoPhqbY</a></p><p>

<a href="https://imgur.com/Fnr7WpR" rel="external nofollow">https://imgur.com/Fnr7WpR</a></p><p> </p><p>

And now, brief rundown of current narratives.</p><p> </p><p>

- Goldberg has come back after 5 months out and he's gunning for DDP's world title. </p><p>

- Booker T won a #1 Contenders Match to get a shot at Steven Regal's title. Fearing the possibility of getting ganged up on by both Booker and Stevie, Regal enlisted the help of current WCW TV champion Lance Storm. Now as Booker contends for the US Title, Stevie Ray is contending for the TV title.</p><p>

- After putting Sid Vicious on the shelf in a cage, Jeff Jarrett seeks to topple another giant, this time the target is the immortal Hulk Hogan.</p><p>

- Flair and Nash are feuding because...I don't know. Options are limited at the top.</p><p>

- After losing a blowoff cage match against Hogan at GaB, Steiner stalked Nitro looking for revenge, destroying everything in his path. Until he found Sting.</p><p>

- Somebody has sent Meng after Rey Mysterio Jr. But who?</p><p>

- Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Dustin Rhodes are fighting over who is part of the greatest family legacy.</p><p>

- Violence meets ultraviolence at The Endtimes (Brian Adams, Bryan Clarke) face off against Terry Funk and La Parka for the world tag team titles.</p><p>

- Juventud Guerrera has...nothing to do. This is bad since I'm trying to push him.</p><p>

- Berlyn currently holds the cruiserweight title, lamenting the lack of competition. But word has it that an extraordinarily talent named Brian Danielson is ready to make the leap from development to the main roster.</p><p>

- Brian Knobbs, Tank Abbot and Asya have joined forces as The Beatdown Gang and have taken to beating up new WCW arrivals Shane Helms and Shannon Moore aka The Altitude Era.</p><p> </p><p>

One last thing: The 2000 mod is fairly bare-bones compared to most of the other historical mods, not even containing international companies (it was clearly designed as a US-only mod). So I imported all of the company/broadcaster/worker data from Montreal Aftermath. This has lead to the annoying problem of double characters in situations where the mods use two different names (examples: Steven Regal and William Regal, Edge and Adam Copeland, that sort of thing). When I find them I take the impostor, age them up 50 years and set them to 'Out of the business')</p><p> </p><p>

Oh, and now Louie Spicolli, The Renegade and Owen Hart are alive again. I would feel guilty mummifying them, I'd feel like I was cheating if I hired them (well just Owen really) but I'm not going to let WWF sign him either. Decisions, decisions.</p>

<p>So The Crockett Cup has been and gone. AA & Tully won the tournament defeating Super Powers (Dusty & Nikita) in the final.</p><p> </p><p>

In the semi's, The Road Warriors put up their NWA Tag Titles vs AA & Tully to up the ante for getting to the final, and they regret that choice. So The Horsemen are currently ruling the world of JCP for the moment. </p><p> </p><p>

Flair is World Champion.</p><p>

Tully is TV Champion.</p><p>

AA & Tully are NWA Tag Champs.</p><p> </p><p>

Luger is about to face off vs Nikita for the US Title and Dusty vs Tully for the TV Title at next Supercard. The Horsemen recently welcomed Larry Zbyszko into the group so it's currently the 5 horsemen.</p><p>

This will eventually lead to Luger being forced out of the group and turning babyface to leave the group as JJ, Flair, AA, Tully & Larry. Prefer that look to the group.</p><p> </p><p>

Ron Garvin & Barry Windham are still the US Tag Champs but they're due to face off vs The Midnight Express at Supercard and will likely drop the belts. Then the long-running feud between the Midnight Express and the Rock'n'Roll Express will have the heat turned up with gold on the line.</p><p> </p><p>

Road Warriors dropped the belts as I'm trying to get Hawk cleaned up. He's in Rehab for 7 months and Animal and Ellering are both suspended for 1 month for steroid abuse. So the Road Warriors and Dusty may have to vacate the 6 man tag title.</p><p> </p><p>

Big Scott Hall recently put up the best match of the save so far in a title match vs Flair at a recent tour show with a 94 rating. Hall & Hennig are forming quite the team in the tag division. Sting is teaming with Warrior but eventually, he'll fly solo and Warrior will be released. Ain't nobody got time for that trainwreck.</p>

Prepare for a long read. Or don’t, up to you.

I just finished Summerslam 96 with the WWF as Jim Ross in 1996 Dawn of Attitude mod, and things are doing pretty good:

Royal Rumble didn’t go exactly to plan - Razor Ramon was deunk and pissed off ALL 27 PARTICIPANTS (except himself, HBK and Diesel), so that was fun. Shawn won the match from #1 (in my head since you can’t determine the order) and was going to Wrestlemania 12 against Bret Hart, who turned heel on Yokozuna very quickly to make the match work.

Goldust, the IC champ, was going to feud with Ramon but that changed since I sent him to rehab following the Rumble (for 3 months luckily), so I went with a filler feud against Brian Pillman who I signed as soon as possible (the ONLY first month signing I made, the rest went to WCW, so realism was good. He also went to rehab because I’m not allowed good things).

The next feud was The Undertaker vs Diesel - Taker turned heel since I figured it’s the last realistic time to do so before he’s the most respected man in the universe, and a week before mania I got 2 expiring contracts to deal with: Diesel, and Razor Ramon. I thought it’s done, but somehow, Razor Ramon resigned with the WWF, and earned himself my respect and a big push (spoiler, he tested positive to hard drugs soon enough so he spends most of the year in rehab and I expect soft drugs rehab when he comes back). But knowing Diesel is leaving made my life easier and he took a clean loss to Taker at Mania.

The Million Dollar Corporation (DiBiase, Sycho Sid, HHH, Austin and Tatanka) was my biggest jackpot. They feuded with Ahmed Johnson (and Kama once I signed him) and were the easiest part of the booking, and I decided to turn Austin face faster than planned because the roster was dying for star babyface, but at Mania Austin lost to Sid by shenanigans.

Tag Team wise, not really good...

The Quebecers came back in a more legitimate gimmick, and feuded with The Headshrinkers (Samu, Fatu aka Rikishi and The Samoan Savage) for the titles which turned out better than expected. Headshrinkers won at Mania.

That’s that for Wrestlemania 12.

Post Mania, Shawn was injured and will have to work through a back injury for a full year, so that’s great. He kept feuding with The Hart Foundation (with a returning Jim Neidhart)

Mankind was signed and feuded with Taker

Austin wasn’t done with The Corporation yet, and had Johnson and Kama on his side

Razor Ramon came back and continued where he left off with Goldust

Clarke (Bryan Clarke) joined the Corp. and tagged with Tatanka against The Headshrinkers

Signed: Jericho and Lance Storm to improve the tag division, Rocky Maivia, and probably a few more I can’t remember.

King of the Ring 96:

This was The Austin Show, complete with an added Narrative of a popularity boost for him after the show. The tournament was good, and the finals were Austin vs a religious gimmick Bob Backlund (Jake Roberts was, you guessed it, in rehab). Austin beat Sycho Sid in the semis while Backlund won by DQ vs Vader (as you can see I “borrowed” a lot of real life stuff).

Tatanka and Clarke won the tag belts and Goldust beat Ahmed Johnson and Jeff Jarrett to retain the IC belt.

Mankind had an upset victory over The Undertaker as an act of better things to come.

Ahmed Johnson’s contract was up and I thought he’s gone, but he remains loyal and earns some title runs down the line.

Signed: Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, Fit Finlay (From WCW), Ken Shamrock, Edge and Christian. Opened a child company - FCW and signed a few there.

Summerslam aka The Show To Literally End All Feuds:

Razor Ramon is back and was booked to finally take the belt off of Goldust and end an 8 month reign, but of course he was tested positive for hard drugs at the go home Raw, off to rehab again! Instead, Marty Janetty who returns from rehab (a recurring theme) answers an open challenge but falls short against Goldie in a great opener.

Bret vs Shawn II - a ladder match to end the feud, The Hart Foundation are banned from ringside and Shawn just beats Bret in my first 100 match (not CVerse, I know, but still) which shows no injury can slow down Shawn. The show ends with Taker attacking Shawn to spark the next main feud.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Ahmed Johnson beat Sid and HHH.

Taker beats Mankind in a Casket match. Mankind took a stunt bump to get over.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Express defeated The Quebecers in a surprisingly good match even with a ‘calm the crowd’ note. Morton and Gibson are so freaking good, Tag Team Champions very soon.

Rocky Maivia beat Isaac Yankem. Just a mini feud to see what these guys have, not much more than good midcarders I think (wink wink)

Edge & Christian lost to Sudden Impact (Jericho and Storm). Oh well, fun feud though.

Post Summerslam Plans:

The Undertaker vs HBK - HBK is holding the belt for almost 6 months which is eternity in Attitude era terms, and Taker is, well, Taker.

I need a new champ to give Shawn some less pressure with his injury, and Taker is the best option.

Austin vs The Hart Foundation - The last feud before he gets a title shot. The Harts are booked to win this one since they lost to HBK, Brian Pillman should come back very soon to help his friend in the war.

Goldust vs Mankind - okay, hopefully Mankind doesn’t mess this up, cause even though Goldust is amazing, it’s far too long to hold a title for 8 months in the late 90’s. Planning a weird feud with gimmick matches to capitalize on their personas, should be fun to book.

Nation of Domination ( Ahmed Johnson, Kama and Rocky Maivia) vs The Million Dollar Corporation - yep, a year earlier than real life, The Nation will be a thing. Although this time with less focus on the racism and more on the bad assery as well ad being a face stable. Sid is the planned opponent for The Undertaker so The Corp probably wins. I am planning a US Title tournament to end at WM13 where Rocky turns heel, and I’ve got that planned too including promos.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Express vs Tatanka & Clarke - simple, give the Express the belts, feud them with someone else. Possibly The Quebecers who deserve more.

Ken Shamrock vs Fit Finlay - just a simple lower card storyline revolving around who’s tougher.

And that’s it for now.

If you made it all the way here, PM me and I’ll send you cookies.

One year done in my Wrestle Grand Prix save. The six months between the first post and where I am right now have been quite interesting. I figure the easiest way to show this all is to recap the year.

Wrestle GP currently have 4 titles:

Wrestle GP Heavyweight - This was the first belt to be on the line in my debut card. Samoa Joe won the belt in a match against Kurt Angle at the Fire Pro Cup event in January. He proceeded to feud with Wild Pegasus (who won the Fire Pro Cup), where in a series of matches Samoa Joe held on to his belt. Joe then had a small series of matches with Chris Hero, during which Kevin Steen got involved. Steen wins the belt off Joe in a match in July's big event.

Steen defended the belt a couple of times; against El Generico, Okada, and a rematch against Joe. After Kevin Steen wins the Tornado Tournament (our tag team tourny) with CM Punk, he "turns" on Punk as he felt intimidated by Punk (since Punk got all the pins in the tournament). Their first match ended in ref stoppage, putting Steen over as ruthless. Lesnar was the next contender but Punk beat him in a singles match, warranting a three way match. In a moment of triumph, Punk beats Lesnar in the match to win the belt. After a throwaway defense on TV, Punk wins the blow off match in December after a grueling Last Man Standing match.

Wrestle GP Intercontinental - This belt has been treated like the main event title because of the incredible matches had over it. In a February event, Shinsuke Nakamura beat Bryan Danielson; which was a rematch from their time limit draw in January. Nakamura proceeds to defend against Lionheart Jericho a couple times (along with defenses against Austin Aries and Low Ki). After that feud, he has a series of matches with CM Punk (along with a three way match with Omega and Ibushi). After a throwaway defense against Rey Mysterio, Bryan Danielson earned a right to a match against Nakamura after winning the Thunder Pro Cup (the super junior cup). In a triple threat match along with Low Ki, Nakamura pinned Low Ki for the win. Danielson uses this to provoke a rematch, which he beats Nakamura to win the belt. (The story i was subtly building was that Danielson had been getting victories over Nakamura in non title situations).

Danielson proceeds to defend against Nakamura (using a rematch clause) which ends with a count out victory for Nakamura. Okada gets himself involved in a triple threat match the next month, who Danielson gets the win over. This leads to the final blow off match in December where Danielson wins in an 60 min iron man match. I ran that feud into the ground but I got engrossed with the series of matches idea of booking.

Wrestle GP Tag Team - This title has moved around a fair amount this year. I don't tell a lot of stories with this belt other than when it changes hands. Punk and Steen were the first champions when they beat the team of Okada and Tetsuya Naito. 3 months and only 2 defenses later they drop the belts to Okada and Naito. Okada and Naito defend the titles 6 times in 3 months before they drop the belts to the Golden Lovers. What happens with the Golden Lovers is a bit weird. Ibushi and Omega win the belts, then during the Tornado tournament Ibushi gets hurt in the quarter finals. I decide that Omega would bring in a new partner to replace Ibushi, which would be Pac (Neville from WWE) as he could use the rub. I transferred the reign to Golden Lovers II. After 6 defenses they drop the belt to the Purge (Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes). They're named the Purge because they both work at the promotion named PURGE.

Wrestle GP Super Junior - This belt was created in October, and won by Tetsuya Naito in a three way match with TJ Wilson and Matt Sydal. He defends it 5 times before dropping the belt to current champion Kenny Omega.

Tournaments:

Fire Pro Cup - Held in January as a one night, 8 man, single elimination tournament. The final was Wild Pegasus going over Lionheart Jericho. The 2019 tournament will be a 16 man elimination tournament, and in the future might be turned into a G1 climax round robin system.

Thunder Pro Cup - Held in May as a two night, 16 man single elimination tournament. The first night held the opening round, the second night holding the rest of the tournament. Bryan Danielson went over El Generico to win the cup. I might try to make the next Cup a round robin style tournament, but that is to be determined.

Tornado Tournament - Held in September as a two night, 12 team single elimination tournament. The first night held the "wild card" matches, and the quarter finals (4 teams had byes to start while 8 teams had to wrestle). The second night held the semis and the finals. Steen and Punk went over Golden Lovers II to win the tournament. I'll keep the format the same for next year.

This save is amazing, I'm having a blast and I'm learning so much along the way.

My locker room morale rallied after a month of no incidents, a few stealth vacations, and Bobby Heenan setting a few other trouble makers straight in wrestlers court. Their contracts are ridiculous (150k/mo for Nash and 200k/mo for Hogan). I had a golden opportunity to dump them but I played the velvet glove out of fear of losing almost 1/3rd of my main event scene.</p><p> </p><p> I have the 'next generation' of main eventers in the wings but they're not quite there yet (68-75 pop for them as opposed to the 85-92 I get out of Nash/Hogan). And also one of them is Jeff Jarrett and having watched a bunch of old 2000's Nitros I can say that Jarrett is a candidate for the single worst thing about the monday night wars. I'd have buried him in-game, but he's actually useful statistically. Of course I'd feed Nash and Hogan to these guys but creative control makes that difficult.</p>

<p>Well, I've added TCW to my ongoing USPW/OLLIE game. Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment.</p><p> </p><p>

It's March 2018 in-game. (Next week, basically.) I jumped in about a week or so after Pee-Wee Germaine became the new owner. The story I'm going with is that GDL (the chemical company that Germaine's an heir to) bought a recently Cult-level again TCW from BriCo, but BriCo still has the action figure contract.</p><p> </p><p>

So Germaine's secret is out. I made Wilson Carlisle my user character, giving them two new referees out of the deal. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> This roster is old and unbalanced, with more faces than heels in the main event and more heels than faces everywhere else on the card.</p><p> </p><p>

Their first big idea? Bringing back the All-Action title with a 16-man tournament that will conclude at Total Mayhem 22. TCW had signed a few lightweight wrestlers about a year earlier (Ota, Roderick Remus, Rudy Velasquez). The favorites are International champion Masked Cougar and whoever wins the Remus-Velasquez quarterfinal match. With ACPW closing in December, I grabbed a few of their guys. I brought back Elliott Thomas, and signed Yellow Flash and California Kid from Mexico. I also brought over Ricky Storm, who had just been released by 21CW. I was pleasantly surprised to see that those last three had decent overness (high 40s to mid-50s) in the U.S. Turns out SOTBPW airs one of its shows in the U.S., and 21CW has U.S. PPV coverage.</p><p> </p><p>

Aaron Andrews regained the TCW World title from Jay Chord at Malice In Wonderland, then defended against Marc Speed at The War To Settle The Score. Chord's gotten tangled up with Nicky Champion (who's been badly misused since joining TCW at about this time last year) and that's headed for a three-way at Total Mayhem where Champion will take the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

The tag team division is a wasteland. Eddie Chandler and Dazzling Dave Diamond are the champs, but they hadn't defended since <strong>November</strong>. (No New Wave. Scout has left for SWF. Also no Canadian Animals, as Edd Stone's back in Canada with CGC.) Donnie J and Clark Alexander finally had enough and mounted a challenge, but they came up short. However, this inspired Chance Fortune to challenge Darryl Devine to a singles match in order to settle their differences and reunite as Devine Fortune, as Chance saw an opportunity. Devine will turn face, and they'll reunite and win the titles. Long-term, I signed The Dynamite Express from MAW. I also have Rich And Famous, who are overdue for a push.</p><p> </p><p>

Also planning a makeshift battle of legendary tag teams for Total Mayhem -- Bryan Vessey & Brent Hill vs. Human Arsenal & Guide.</p><p> </p><p>

Troy Tornado and Davis Wayne Newton have a program started. Lenny Brown came over from SWF, and he's gonna tangle with Nate Johnson first. Another newcomer, T-Bone Bright, will probably face off with Titan. </p><p> </p><p>

----</p><p> </p><p>

Meanwhile, Sammy Bach won his second USPW World title, ending Rick Law's reign. But it isn't exactly clear who his next challenger is going to be.</p><p> </p><p>

Similarly, Silver Tiger ended Gino Montero's first run as OLLIE Universal champion. That's headed for a hair vs. title match in a few months' time.</p>

I'm personally majorly against a lot of the old guys in WCW by 2000, so I look for excuses to fire those guys and feed them to whoever I can (mostly your Flairs, Stings, etc...) before I right the ship properly. Falling down and losing money to me feels like a reality of the game, so I want to clear the deck of heavy contracts and bad attitudes.</p><p> </p><p> One of the things I do is play with WCW 2000 with the Millionaire's Club / Radicalz scenario in play. Mhm. I'm personally majorly against a lot of the old guys in WCW by 2000, so I look for excuses to fire those guys and feed them to whoever I can (mostly your Flairs, Stings, etc...) before I right the ship properly. Falling down and losing money to me feels like a reality of the game, so I want to clear the deck of heavy contracts and bad attitudes.

One of the things I do is play with WCW 2000 with the Millionaire's Club / Radicalz scenario in play. Which is (according to a rumour) that when Benoit tried to get Sullivan fired, guys like Luger and Sting protested and said that Sullivan was important to the company and the company basically chose Sullivan and the older WCW veterans over Benoit and co.

So what I do in this scenario is basically use this as an excuse to kick out the older WCW stalwarts (and Sullivan). Then I do an instance where Hogan tries to bring in Bischoff again, but with the nWo related expensive contracts weighing down, WCW accountant turned WCW Executive Vice President Bill Busch decides to kick those guys out as well.

So you wind up with a very thin main event roster at Cult and an impetus to go to a performance over pop product in January 2000. Maybe you do a merger with ECW, bring in Paul Heyman and some of his guys to round out the roster. Maybe someone like Jim Cornette on the outs with the WWF comes back to WCW. Maybe Jerry Jarrett gets in again and pushes Jeff to the moon in a database that is very kind to his skills. Maybe someone from Japan like Keiji Mutoh worms his way into the company.

Better yet is that this can work out in late 1999 as well (when Russo came in), because Busch was appointed IRL in September when Eric got sent home and only left after Eric got brought back in May.

I have no love for the older guys either. I was willing to languish in Cult for awhile but everything stabilized earlier than anticipated and I found myself almost at International level in the US by the time I was eligible to return to National. If things are going well there is less impetus to blow things up and start over. Outright releasing Hogan and Nash wouldn't take their contracts off the books. Unfortunately I didn't fire them for disciplinary issues when I've had the chance. On the plus side I've already shed Piper and Savage, and as of today (in-game) Hall is off my books. So isn't Bam Bam, who was making 40k/mo for some reason. And Luger is coming out of Rehab in 2 weeks. I don't anticipate him coming out sober.

The big problem I face is the National Battles. We're in 2000. That's basically the twilight of the true Superstars. Every worker with 90+ star power in the game is probably already active in the game world and they're either A) Too old to invest in or B) Already locked up by the WWF. That just leaves trying to steal the WWF's top guys. This means I have to maintain my national status or they won't negotiate with me. I've already missed out on Austin doing this.

I've never been on the wrong side of a National Battle beatdown before so I don't know how debilitating it is. Or if it gets worse the larger the gap is.

On the plus side. When I moved The Radicalz to WWF before the game started I set their contacts to random. Apparently 'random' means '7 1/2 months' for Saturn and Eddy. So I'm in a bidding war for them. At the same time WWF is fighting me for Booker T. I'm going to win all of these.

<p>Forgot to mention in my last post, Bret Hart has started time decline at the age of 37, so that’s fun.</p><p> </p><p>

A little update:</p><p>

I have finished IYH 10: Mind Games (the last PPV was Summerslam), and things are going, well, okay. Sort of.</p><p> </p><p>

Goldust and The Undertaker lost to Mankind and HBK when Mankind beat Goldie to set up an IC title match, Austin went up against both Hart brothers in a no DQ handicap match and lost, but Brian Pillman (finally!) returns from rehab to help his friend out. I also had about a month build to British Bulldog turning babyface on The Foundation (specifically on Jim Neidhart for injuring all the tag teams the two faced), mainly to balance the Heel/Face balance (or rather lack there of), so he will be on Austin and Pillman’s side now.</p><p> </p><p>

Rock n Roll Express are insanely good, getting B- and B almost every tag match, and will face Tatanka and Clarke at IYH 11: Buried Alive. </p><p> </p><p>

Now to some bad news: Sycho Sid is jumping the ship at the end of the month, which messes up my plans for Wrestlemania 13’s main event, and he was doing really well too. It also messes up The Million Dollar Corporation, as he was the biggest name in there, and I don’t really know who’s gonna replace him. That was, until, I realized Curt Hennig is back in 40 or so days, although I’m not sure if he’s gonna stay clean for too long.</p><p>

Speaking of, The Nation of Domination debuted with Ahmed, Kama and Rocky Maivia, the latter of which has tested positive for steroids twice this month.</p><p> </p><p>

Lastly, I’ve been getting a lot of opinions from my best wrestlers saying I should push Hakushi (as a side note, in hebrew that sounds exactly like the translation to the n word, so that’s nice), so he’s getting a push.</p><p> </p><p>

Marty Janetty tested positive for soft drugs... he’s back to rehab.</p><p> </p><p>

Buried Alive looks like this so far:</p><p>

Shawn Michaels<span class="ipsEmoji">©️</span> vs The Undertaker - Buried Alive Match</p><p>

Stone Cold and Brian Pillman vs The Hart Brothers</p><p>

Rock n Roll Express vs Tatanka & Clarke<span class="ipsEmoji">©️</span></p><p>

British Bulldog vs Jim Neidhart/Vader - not sure who yet</p><p>

Goldust<span class="ipsEmoji">©️</span> vs Mankind - Some Gimmicky Match</p><p>

Sudden Impact vs Edge & Christian vs Headshrinkers - #1 Contenders Match</p><p>

Sycho Sid & HHH vs Ahmed Johnson & Kama</p>

<p>Guys I did it.</p><p>

I fired Hogan.</p><p>

he threw a punch of Orndorf, Orndorf beat him up. Then I decided I was sick of his nonsense.</p><p>

He's gone. I'm 200k/mo richer and well, I was going to lose the national battles anyway.</p><p>

Edit: OR NOT! He filed suit against me despite firing him for starting a fight when it was his 4th offense in < 3 months.</p>

<p>Trying work an idea with my current main event champion, Hurakan. I'm a high level regional promotion, who picked him up after he did a stint with USPW, making him hugely over. He's also hands down the best talent I've got. He's been my company's figure head for just over three years, and it shows attendance is up 11%, with merchandise up 40%.</p><p> </p><p>

As of this point, he's held the title for over four years (from May 2032 to August 2036/current.) He's had fifty one title defenses, and at one point or another. Whenever I am able to hire a worker who would be upper mid card or main event for us, they're usually his next challenge. But that's gotten a bit boring, and also lacks a certain logic that someone would get a title match at their debut.</p><p> </p><p>

What I had decided to do was the old "open challenge" route, bringing outsiders in through trades and alliance loans. New challenger each show, provided I can find people of a significant level who I think would put on a good match. Among the first people I intend to bring in are former champions who have since moved on (at least, the 2-3 that I can still borrow.)</p><p> </p><p>

My question is, from a storyline standpoint is it better to have each challenger show up at the event as a surprise, or have their appearance promoted on the previous show?</p><p> </p><p>

What's more important here: the surprise factor of "Who's next?" or the hype of "Hurakan vs Mid Atlantic Champion, Copperhead!"</p><p> </p><p>

Also playing around with ideas of what to do with the rest of main eventers and upper mids while the champ is busy sticking it to outside challengers. Some getting jealous, conflicts with authority or even trying to injure the challengers and take their places, that sort of thing. I had considered having my #1 hell, Johnny "The Devil" Varelans (an amazingly talented regen of Raymond Diaz) create his own championship a la Tazz and the FTW Championship, giving other people a title to compete for while Hurakan is otherwise occupied.</p><p> </p><p>

Any thoughts?</p>

<p>@alphadraighon - I'd promote the match ahead of time, since we're talking top dog versus accredited challenger. Having a take-all-comers champ gives you some space in terms of distancing the champ from the rest of the company and lets you promote them as seperate but equal whenever they actually get a title shot. Remember that in kayfabe your roster in general wants to make good money and be draws that can demand big money, so don't be afraid to run shows with them at the top while your champ is doing a six man or tag team preview against his next challenger. It'll mess with your ratings a bit but it'll keep it fresh in terms of presentation. I'd also suggest using outsider challengers on three month stints if you're running monthly, so as to have those challengers pop up an undercard guy who can then feed that pop to an uppercard guy that isn't your champ. </p><p> </p><p>

----</p><p> </p><p>

Nutty idea I had for an AJPW game start in 2001. Basically, AJPW's owner Motoko Baba is loaded, absolutely loaded as a businesswoman. She's also lacking entirely in anything regarding a roster in AJPW. Meanwhile, WCW is up for sale for 4.2 million to the WWF, and has a bunch of wrestlers recognizable in Japan. </p><p> </p><p>

So, she puts in a bid for WCW and buys the company at around 4.5 million, but agrees to resell licenses and such to the WWF as long as she gets the wrestlers she wants to get. AJPW gets some fresh new gaijin in their company who are certainly not strangers to Japan while WWE gets everything they wanted barring some rookies and some expensive talent they weren't signing in the first place. </p><p> </p><p>

So, come <strong>Champion Carnival 2001</strong>, AJPW announces the likes of <strong>Ric Flair </strong>(500K a year IRL), <strong>Rey Mysterio </strong>(425K a year IRL), <strong>Mike Awesome </strong>(350K IRL), <strong>Lance Storm </strong>(383K). <strong>Sean O'Haire </strong>(78K a year IRL), <strong>Mark Jindrak </strong>(105K a year IRL), <strong>Chuck Palumbo </strong>(75K a year IRL), and <strong>Johnny the Bull </strong>(75K a year IRL). Ric and Rey are obviously the immediate eye-catchers, but Lance, Mike and the rest are great hands or potential hands in the Land of the Giants that is AJPW. I'm thinking AJPW might also pick up one or two more juniors like the Jung Dragons (canonical to post-WCW IRL) or Kidman or something, but the heavyweights are the most important piece of the puzzle at this time. </p><p> </p><p>

Thoughts on this admittedly long-stretch ploy to get some of my favorite wrestlers from WCW 2000 into AJPW 2001? Obviously Ric and Rey aren't lasting with AJPW forever (I'm thinking one year contracts for both), but the NBT guys might want to stick around, and Lance and Mike would to keep for a year or three.</p>

<p>So I'm booking SWF and Jay Chord gets into a fight backstage with Richard Eisen and I'm to chose Jay's punishment. Since he's been a pain backstage the last few weeks, I suspend him for 28 days. Jay now has simmering tension with me and Richard (the 64 year old owner) that he had a fight with is telling me that I was too harsh on Jay. </p><p> </p><p>

I just sat there staring at that message for like 1 full minute going, really? To add to that, my personal assistant is telling me that Richard Eisen has morale issues (which are new). I keep reading that (intentionally) as "moral issues."</p>

<p>Haven't played much since the last update. </p><p> </p><p>

I've brought Brie Danielson in to be there with Bryan. Because I'm generous like that. Danielson defeated Rey Mysterio at Backlash. I want to say it was a disappointing 79 but things working against it like Rey's fitness. Working shows every night. </p><p> </p><p>

AJ defeated Rusev in the main event of Backlash. Lana interference backfires. I was happy enough with the b+. Not the end of this storyline though. Did a good old fashioned get the crap beat out of you and sell it angle on Smackdown. And AJ is just awesome at this. He's in a hospital bed. Send your cards to AJ because Stylesamania will continue to run wild, Jack. Now whatcha. </p><p> </p><p>

This brings out Samoa Joe and his face turn. He can reference his history with AJ and the respect he has for him. So now I have Samoa Joe vs Ru Ru booked for the next PPV. Will have to do a sports entertainment finish here. </p><p> </p><p>

Been hearing stories that Conor McGregor (he's in this database so why not) wants Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. If the money is right. John Cena vs McGregor is my preference but I've still those Undertaker plans. </p><p> </p><p>

Persona 5 inspiration again. In the draft, there was a wildcard presented at random. This means the wrestler isn't restricted to one brand. Chris Jericho has it. </p><p> </p><p>

I talked about Bray before. He got the ''I don't have a clue what to do with you'' 6-month vacation. And I probably still won't have a clue in 6 months. </p><p> </p><p>

Next stage of Stephanie vs Ronda is Nia Jax and Alexa vs Ronda and Naomi. Naomi was drafted to RAW and won a number one contender match. She had the title won but Nia interfered for the bs DQ finish. Ronda made the save. </p><p> </p><p>

Been running some segments, Ronda teaching Naomi moves (because Ronda's 18 psychology makes her a master of that.)</p><p> </p><p>

Roderick Strong is not a mute, but he doesn't do the whole post-match promo thing. He likes to reflect on his work and then speak later. Because I'm not really a fan of the microphone being stuck in your gub if you've suffered a loss. I know it is part of the game. But now I can use it as inspiration for a character. Sweet. We'll see how long I remain interested. I'll make him a player in the cruiserweight division.</p><p> </p><p>

Finn Balor is interesting. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Yeah, a heel turn and name change back to Prince Devitt. </p><p> </p><p>

Next pay per view ''world in motion''. Yeah really. This will be a UK PPV. </p><p> </p><p>

Will Ospreay defeated a local in a 7-minute match. This brought out Orotn (us champ) and he puts over Ospreay in his own Orton way. ''I will give you the chance to stop fighting bums at world in motion. I want to know how good you really are.'' He then raises his title. It's on.</p><p> </p><p>

Not sure what to do with this. It has me excited as a fan. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Can Ospreay get it done on home soil? </p><p> </p><p>

Bryan Danielson vs Seth Rollins. Universal title on the line. </p><p> </p><p>

Samoa Joe vs Rusev</p><p> </p><p>

Shinsuke Nakamura vs The Revival. </p><p>

Doing a 'you have to work to get a match with me' storyline. Challenge 1, Nakamura has to beat The Revival in under 10 minutes. </p><p> </p><p>

The Cream (Kevin and Sami) will defend against American Alpha in a cage. Kurt Angle and Triple are involved in this storyline. The Cream was expecting some special treatment form the ref in a non-title match on Raw. But it never came... Alpha picked up the win. This is just vintage build up here. Far too soon to have a title change. Kevin and Sami are getting it done on segments. </p><p> </p><p>

Randy Orton vs Will Ospreay. </p><p>

From a fans perspective. This is the most exciting match on the show. Will probably get a low score but them's the breaks. </p><p> </p><p>

Ronda Rousey and Naomi vs Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax</p><p> </p><p>

Absolution vs Riott Squad. </p><p>

One of those special matches that The Rock gets to put together with his hyping skills. I've let go of the old don't book heels vs heels mentality. </p><p> </p><p>

Ricochet (cw title) vs Neville vs Rey Mysterio. </p><p>

Most of the cruiserweights still feel like no name geeks. I had a cruiserweight only special there. Jack Gallagher seems to be the only one making some progress, being assisted by segments with the Drifter. Rome wasn't built in a day. </p><p> </p><p>

Had a look at development there. La Sombra is coming up, double quick, double time. His stats look good to go and he seems to have things others lack. I haven't seen much, I don't watch NXT or 205 if has been on there. He doesn't have the geek label attached to him. You're going to be a star, kid. </p><p> </p><p>

Braun Strowman (IC title) vs Baron Corbin</p><p>

ROAR!!!!!!! Baron is going to get rekked.</p>

<p>So I pulled back up my 1997 game. I thought I was just finishing January ... but apparently one night I decided to have some beverages and do some simming. Nothing too crazy ... but I do kind of have to redo some stories. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm currently heading into Uncensored 1998 the 3rd week of March.</p><p> </p><p>

Champions</p><p>

WCW World: Bret Hart</p><p>

WCW US: DDP</p><p>

WCW Tag: DDP / Flair (The Horsemen)</p><p>

WCW Cruiser: Malenko</p><p> </p><p>

I was going to combine the TV and Cruiser titles into the Cruiser-X and build toward a X-division, but I apparently didn't follow all the way through and simply retired the TV title after Goldberg won it and immediately vacated it. </p><p> </p><p>

Key Losses: </p><p>

Buff Bagwell</p><p>

Randy Savage</p><p>

Hulk Hogan</p><p> </p><p>

all apparently put in their notices and left during this stretch. </p><p> </p><p>

on the plus side, my locker room moral is now at 90%</p><p> </p><p>

Key Stables: </p><p>

nWo: </p><p>

Kevin Nash</p><p>

Scott Hall</p><p>

Sid Vicious</p><p>

Booker T</p><p>

Eric Bischoff (mouth piece)</p><p> </p><p>

The Horsemen: </p><p>

Ric Flair</p><p>

DDP</p><p>

Scott Steiner </p><p>

Arn Anderson (Mouth piece)</p><p> </p><p>

Raven's Flock</p><p>

Raven</p><p>

Edge (out injured)</p><p>

(Christian) Cage</p><p>

Christopher Daniels</p><p> </p><p>

I need to find a Fourth horseman. I'm to 4 options. Bret, Goldberg, The Giant or Big Rig Ray Traylor. Goldberg could use the protection. The Giant could use something to do. And I have an owner goal to get Traylor to being 65 pop. Bret could work, because eventually Flair would become extremely jealous and catapult a story out of the grouping.</p><p> </p><p>

Steiner is also injured with a neck problem until Dec, so he's VERY limited. </p><p> </p><p>

Now that Hogan is gone, I do not have a real Heel threat to the title unless I start doing Nash or Sid. Hall has already had a title shot and a couple matches against Sting that he lost, so he's title cred is low. And Booker T isn't ready for World's title run, he'll most likely end up with the US title. </p><p> </p><p>

The biggest Feud for the remainder of the year will probably be Sting vs Bret. So there is potential to turn one of them. I do kind of like Sting being the silent leader of the new nWo, and he speaks only with his bat (he's been playing the reluctant hero since winning the title, while Bret has been pure babyface). i'll have to pay him a ton to turn heel though as he won't want to give up his merch. It would allow the nWo a transition point until they're finally destroyed at War Games. </p><p> </p><p>

The other options is to turn the Giant heel and have him go on a monster run (moving the World title away from the nWo/Horsemen angle) and allow Goldberg a monster to overcome for the title when I'm ready, potentially Starrcade ... but then you run into the problem of Bret v Sting being the biggest match ahead of the World title.</p><p> </p><p>

I plan on moving the Tag titles off of DDP/Flair and get them away from the Horsemen/nWo angle as well. And eventually making Jericho the face of the Cruiser-X division. </p><p> </p><p>

Also not to forget those that are in rehab:</p><p>

Benoit: 3 months</p><p>

Jericho 5 months</p><p>

Guerrero: 4 months</p><p>

Jacqueline Moore: 3 months</p><p>

Luger is on vacation 9more days</p><p>

Louie Spicolli 4 months</p><p>

Orndorff 5 months</p><p>

Raven 8 months</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Lesson learned. Don't drink and sim, kids ... though I still didn't do as wild as WCW actually did ... so, there is that.</p>
