John Lions
So I just noticed this, but, coming up on the end of 2024, The Architect is the most decorated MAW wrestler, EVER. And I don't see this ever being beaten. He's 32, and he has: THREE Mid Atlantic Championship runs, totaling 21 months as champion FOUR Rip Chord Invitational wins (4 in 5 years from 2017-2022), and the year in between he didn't win (2020) he was Mid Atlantic Champion for most of the year SIX Sam Keith Classic wins, including FOUR STRAIGHT WINS from 2021-2024. So, starting from the beginning, 2016: Won Sam Keith Classic with Greg Gauge 2017: Won Rip Chord Invitational 2018: Won Sam Keith Classic with Greg Gauge 2019: Won Rip Chord Invitational 2020: Won Mid Atlantic Championship, was champ for 7 months of the year 2021: Won Rip Chord Invitational, Won Sam Keith Classic with Harvey Robbinfield, AND won the Mid Atlantic Championship (though he only held it for a month this time) 2022: Won Rip Chord Invitational, Won Sam Keith Classic with Harvey Robbinfield, and won the Mid Atlantic Championship for a third time, reign continuing into 2023 2023: Won the Sam Keith Classic with Avalanche, Mid Atlantic Championship reign went through whole year until September 2024: Won Sam Keith Classic with Avalanche I checked his friendships, and he only has a friendship with Syd Collier. The bookers of MAW over this time period, Jay Fair and Adrian Garcia, have no positive relationships or anything, so it seems like the MAW stalwart just happened to be in the right place at the right time, a lot of times... Over his entire MAW career, he is 78-26, with his matches steadily improving (in 2024 he has a 60 average with the 68 high being close to the best of his career against Bradley Blaze. John Lions
What's his Popularity like? He's actually only at a 40 Mid Atlantic, with second highest being a 38 Tri-State and everywhere else much lower. After hitting year 9, I was trying to think of other crazy things that have happened in my game. I posted a while ago about Greg Gauge suffering a couple of career ending injuries and how he's now working as a manager at MAW. One thing I just realized is the Cornells were paid BIG BUCKS by Allen Packer in 2022. Edward Cornell was the first to jump across the pond, jumping to USPW at the end of July 2022 and is currently working as a main eventer. Tommy Cornell surprisingly made the jump as well in December 2022. Despite being in pretty heavy decline, Allen Packer gave Tommy a long reign at the top 9 months after getting signed, and he held the title until getting dethroned by Rocky Golden (a match that would have a very different person doing to carrying than a match between the two in TCW ten years ago). Tommy and Eddy are literally 98-100 popularity across the world, so it seems like the move did them well, as USPW trumps 21CW in their homeland as well as everywhere else. Edward has hit decline as well but he still has more in the tank than Tommy, but we'll see if USPW decides to give him a run at the top before he retires. EDIT: So I was curious who the genius behind USPW has been, and I must have completely forgot who became head booker of USPW because I had no clue it would be who it was: Yes, BRADFORD PEVERELL, FCW gatekeeper, has been the head booker of USPW for almost seven years.
