So I'm running a watcher game with the old GDS-Verse after I converted the 2013 data to 2016. At the end of year 5 (2013; the mod starts in '09), I'm scrolling through the news when I see something I've never seen before:

 

 

That's the head referee of the No. 1 company in the world spilling the beans on the drug culture backstage. The 12 "fallout" headlines following it are him developing negative relationships with the wrestlers he named... and they're some of the company's biggest stars.

 

Funny I was browsing here, saw this and that's the first time I've seen the whistle blower thing. Then a few days later in my game, less than an hour later, and this happens:

So this happened a few months ago in-game. Playing as SWF. He was still my figurehead and it's been a huge booking obstacle. Slowly recovering, but it couldn't have come at a worse time as I was about to enter him into a passing-of-the-torch storyline.</p>

I had no idea that even legends in the game could still get boosts from their mentors. It makes total sense...but this is a nice surprise. Koiso was just giving psychology help to his own protege on the last show too. I wouldn't mind an eternal loop of this

If Gakusha is not on Time Decline, pillaging back Maeda from BCG does wonders for him. He can get a psych boost all the way up to A*.</p>

I gave him a stern talking to, but Khoklov wasn't happy with that. Told me I was "soft". Could be, but so far, I've won the lottery with this save: Bryan Vessey is NOT on time decline, ayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he has great chemistry with Eddie Peak, meaning The Doomsday Club is alive and well.</p><p> </p><p>

Ok this PGHW game is filled with the most RNG to make it as easy as possible to run the world. Day 1, Kikkawa breaks his back and BHOTWG lose the national war every month until they fall to Cult, allowing me the head up in many bidding wars. One of the greatest young workers on the planet quitting the company he's loyal to is just icing on the cake. The tsunami is destroying me though, finally able to at least somewhat overcome the awful announcing and spit out B+/A shows on the regular, but can't even gain popularity from them.</p>

Uh, maybe you might want to not come to the ring stoned off your you-know-what first? That's the other 3 comments as they're all mad at The Iron Shiek. That match was a cluster too. First time through, Volkoff suffered a Family Death injury (Mod Squad peeps, you might want to look into that one) plus the wrestling high note.</p><p> </p><p>

I do want to add that Haynes wasn't actually in a match on the card either, just a menacing angle so how would he know?</p>
