Starting a NJPW game for the hell of it; any advice on how I can make it work?

okay so here's the setup:

-playing as wCw in 2001 (wCw lives mod), made it performance over pop.

-we hit national, this means we WILL eventually be in competition with WWF/WWE. We currently do NOT have the star power to beat them.

-Before the national battle can truly kick off. Steve Austin is caught with prostitutes and fired by WWF/WWE. This ALSO sends WWF/WWE to cult as they were somehow routinely putting on sub par events/shows.

-Austin is 'toxic' atm, naturally. HOWEVER hiring him would put me ahead of WWF/WWE in the national battles. Though I am concerned about the hit he'll saddle me with if I DO hire him.

I have two options here:

1)do not hire Austin and eat the eventual drop to cult while building up 'the new wCw'.

2) Hire Austin and eat the hit for him being 'toxic', putting me on the winning side of things in the national battle.

multiple thoughts and opinions welcome!

Could use some help with my plans for Wrestlemania 2 booking the RiskyBiz mod. Currently I am January 1, 1986, and just trying to get my direction for WM set. I am fairly certain my world title match will be Hogan vs. Vader (who I have built up to main event status in a little over 6 months), but the undercard still has some question marks.

Currently I have Andre the Giant feuding with Abdullah The Butcher in a very bloody rivalry, they've had a few tag matches but no singles matches yet. Abdullah has sent Andre to the hospital twice (kayfabe) and Andre has just returned. My plan is to have them meet up in the rumble match and eliminate each other, then in February at the Garden they will have a singles match, then Wrestlemania will be some sort of gimmick match, still undecided on what kind yet (planning Hogan vs. Vader as a cage match, but may change my mind and make this the cage match). So that's plan A, but Plan B would be I have The Funk Brothers Terry & Dory in the WWF as well, and they have just lost the WWF Tag Titles at my last show. My plan is for them to get one, maybe 2 rematches at the belts, and then when they fail to recapture them from Magnum TA & Ricky Steamboat, Jimmy Hart & Terry are going to turn on Dory. Not planning a feud, just planning on the attack and then moving Dory to my Dev to be a trainer. That kind of leaves Terry Funk without a marquee Wrestlemania match, so my plan B would be to rush him into a feud with Andre and they meet at Wrestlemania 2 (this would move Abdullah out of a key matchup).

Which do you guys prefer you think, Andre vs. Abdullah, or Andre vs. Terry Funk?

Here's what im tentatively planning for the whole card at the moment, pending how some people are when they get back from Rehab in the next 2 weeks. (namely Piper & Macho)

Hogan vs. Vader, WWF Championship (Steel Cage Match) (Feud just started the last week of December, very similar to Hogan & Bundy's real life feud at this time, just with Vader instead)

Andre vs. Abdullah the Butcher (unknown Gimmick so far)

Paul Orndorff vs. Roddy Piper (This feud has been ongoing since their loss at WM 1, but Piper has missed the last 5 months in Rehab, so Wonderful has been making snide remarks without Piper at any of the shows. Piper will be back in 6 days and hopefully sober)

Magnum TA & Ricky Steamboat (current tag champs) vs. The New Blackjacks (Barry Windham & Blackjack Mulligan), WWF Tag Titles Match

Don Muraco vs. Rocky Johnson (just started a feud the last show of December)

Terry Funk vs. JYD or Koko B. Ware

Macho Man (planning to make him Intercontinental Champion when he gets out of rehab in 5 days if he seems sober) vs. Koko B. Ware or JYD

Strike Force vs. Demolition

Mr. T, Davey Boy Smith & King Tonga (Haku) vs. Bundy, Dr. Death, & The Iron Sheik (Dynamite Kid is in Rehab for the next 8 months <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> and Volkoff is injured for right up until WM2, so this was originally going to be an 8 man tag)

So I'm open to suggestions on how to make this card better, but also specifically looking for opinions on who is a better match up for Andre. His feud with Abdullah dates back to October, but they haven't had a singles match yet, so it could definitely stretch to WM 2 (3 months away) but should I do that? Or should I end it sooner and start a feud with Funk for Mania? Thoughts?

Andre vs. Abdullah do Andre vs. Terry Funk at WM3 so you can build it up more. I'd have Dory vs Terry at WM2 instead of making him wrestle JYD or Koko B. Ware. Also Terry could be a good opponent for Macho to feud with over the IC Championship. As for Gimmicks for Andre vs Abdullah my suggestions are Plan A Barbwire Japan match. Plan B Dog Collar match or Plan C. A I Quit match. If you go with a I Quit match I'd have Andre lose then get brought back in later around WM3 after Terry Funk slaps him around on commentary or something.

Looking for Ideas of how to get people past Chris Beniot in NXT. He is the brands champion. Kind of a gatekeeper to test people before bring them to RAW. Beniot is not happy at being in NXT and aims to destroy everyone who challenges him for his title . He's facing AJ at Mania, Beniot i'm having retain with AJ coming back win the title further down the line.

Currently have Beniot win at WM, but finishes the job on the next NXT show and injure AJ.

My question is how would an AJ styles come back to beat a guy as destructive as Beniot?

A couple more questions.

I want a group called The Savior's. I need 4 members, Currently I have Daniels and Punk. Group will be heels promising to save the fans and other indie wrestlers from the WWE machine, Vince and HHH who they claim will keep the indie stars down. Currently thinking Gen Next (Aries and Roddy Strong) would fit, as they are indie guys and especially Aries doesn't fit what Vince likes.

NXT has several wrestlers from RAW that are there to add the star power and help bring up the indie guys. so The Saviors naturally could be feuding with some of them guys.

I really like the idea of Samoa Joe and Minoru Suzuki Tagging, keep them both busy for a while with the eventual split and hard hitting feud.

I need a name for them.

All I have is The Wrecking Crew.

I'm also considering a Japanese stable to face the Saviors. Japanese guys in NXT are not happy with the hypocrisy of the Savior earning a paycheck from the guys that they claim to hate, also having no honour and complaining etc.

Currently calling them Chono-Gun which will be Chono, Liger, Nakamura and Tanahashi.

Ideas for better names would be great?

Masahiro Chono has led many a faction in his time. Chono-Gun is a fine name, but may I suggest Kuro-Gun. Black Army, derived from Chono's nickname, Black Charisma, and the BLACK faction he lead in Japan around this same time.

Alternatively, you can get more poetic and go with Hachigatsu-Gun, August Army, for Chono's nickname Mr August from his numerous G1 victories.

Now, since I still have Google Translate open, for Joe and Suzuki - Kodokuna Senshi. Lonely Warriors, taken from the lyrics of Minoru Suzuki's theme song. Though what I would do, to put over their no-nonsense, no frills, just two guys who want to inflict pain and suffering gimmick, is just call them Samoa Joe & Minoru Suzuki. Especially since it's just going to be a temporary thing.

Nothing is set in stone for Joe/suzuki aside from tagging, if they hit it off they can always go up to the main roster as a badass tag team that split up on the main roster, however that leaves NXT without a proper Joe v Danielson, Joe v AJ, Joe v Beniot, Joe Regal. Suzuki v Joe, Suzuki v Beniot,Danielson, AJ , Regal matches feuds. Part of why I set up NXT is to have these indierific super matches between the newer guys, kinda like a showcase which in reality would be used towards their backstory on the main roster and video packages etc In my head cannon at least

I was going to copy offf AJPW and use Dr Death and Gordy's Tag name. The Miracle Violence connection... or maybe Violence Squad. Joe and Suzuki may be fine anyways... humm.

I'm also tempted to just have Joe and Suzuki just murder Christian and Tomko for the tag titles on their first try, build them as killers streight from the off, have them kill MNM, Machine guns and Beer Money before beating The steiners in a one off appearance before killing christian/Tomko.

I believe Suzuki's gimmick got a Legendary rating, could be the thing to get him to the main event.that and killing all the good looking flashy guys.

Okay, I need some help with my company if anyone wants to help me, I'm using a real world mod and using a custom company called neXGen wrestling now alot of people on my roster are custom created basically some of my good friends I know but I need help with storylines to go with my championships I have.

The neXGen Heavyweight Champion currently is Ky-Ote who is face and is the Native American warrior his challenger is JB Swag who is heel and is a throwback John Cena ripoff he also has a group of thugs that has his back which are custom created Sean P and Eddie Kingston.

The other one is the neXGen Heritage Champion who is currently Trey Adams who is face and his challengers who are Shane Hollister also face and Trace Jackson who is heel I'm on month 4 of this feud and the upcoming match is a triple threat ladder match which Trace wins and Trey Adams gets "injured" during the match after that I don't know where to go with the storyline from there.

Anyone willing to help me out?

I would like to do Goldust with a different colour scheme but also with a different background (i don't want to do nothing horror-themed).

(In this save the nWo disbanded after losing the main event of Bash at the Beach 2000) It's currently April 2003.

To me NWO shouldn't be doing face stuff, they were cool , but cool heels doing heelish stuff.,

They could do stuff to other heels , like a heel Vince or whatever.

It depends what Hogan has been doing the past 3 years, I would have had him in a slump, losing the big matches, not being able to reach the top strap. Maybe losing a Loser leaves WCW match. Only to return Has Hollywood Hogan with a chip on his shoulder. "After everything I've done for WCW brother, and I get discarded and disresepcted.. well no more brother , Hollywood has returned and no one is safe jack"

OK, so, Vampiro. It's WCW, 2003. At the start of the game, 2001, Vampiro formed and led a faction called The Darkness, of Christopher Daniels, Abyss, Yoshihiro Tajiri, and Jim Mitchell. Towards the end of 2002, Daniels usurped leadership of The Darkness, turning Vampiro face. Vampiro became, kinda like a replacement for Sting(since time decline has taken a bat to his abilities in this game), more like The Crow, kinda based on his real-life work as a Guardian Angel.

So, I want to do a factional feud with Vampiro and three other guys vs Daniels, Abyss, and Tajiri.

The obvious answer is three upper-midcard faces that have been kinda aimlessly floundering- Kidman, Bryan Clark, and Chuck Palumbo. What kind of faction should I build around face-Vampiro, and if I use Kidman, Clark, and Palumbo, how could I re-invent them to fit?

Other member possibilities:

Paul London: He's recently debut, but he's gained overness rapidly, even without a coherent push.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin: They've been around the undercard for a while, and are still trying to establish themselves within the tag team division.

Yoshihiro Takayama: I brought him in in late 2001 to feud with Rhino over the US title. As a freelancer, he's been bouncing around Japan since then and is currently a jobber in the WWE. I been kinda looking for a reason to bring him back for a spell.

So, how should I do this?

I also don't think that even in a fictional world could Abyss hang with Takayama. Clark repackaged could work, though I'm struggling with the concept of a face group led by Vampiro if honest as the natural association to Vampiro would be a goth style, depends how you're wanting to label the group. I suppose Clark could be a mercenary, constantly being checked that he understands the plan, replying he is fine so long as he's being paid and could be your obvious turn should you need Vampiro to lose.

You could steal a page out of the TNA playbook with the way they brought back the main event mafia to take on the bigger threat of aces and eights.

Put up against a heel authority lead faction, through a combination of nostalgia and hatred for the others, id say the NWO would be a pretty over face stable in that position as a sort of underground resistance.

You can totally do a Face-Goth angle. Like The Crow or, um... Nico Minoru, I guess. It's too early in the morning for me to come up with good examples. I like those ideas, though. Goth Kidman, 'cuz why not. Paul London as his protege. And Bryan Clark brought in later to even things out until his unexpected though inevitable betrayal.

I'm dumb though and just realized I need to add someone to Daniels stable to even things out. I'll have to dig through my game to find someone to repackage/bring up from development.

Sgt Slaughter had held the US title for 5months now with 15 titles defences, was planning on a Yokozuna win at Wrestlemania but I have DDP in developmental, ready to go when I need him, I have a soft spot for Dallas and I feel this would be amazeballs for DDP to come up from developmental and defeat Slaughter for the US title on his debut match. I don't care that slaughter is Main event and DDP would be LowerMid at best. I would take the hit for DDP.

It's either logical feud with Yokozuna or my soft spot for DDP.

Is DDP going to be a heel or face?

If he's gonna be a heel, yeah, beating Slaughter on his debut is a way to go. If he's a face,

have Yokozuna beat Slaughter, then after Yokozuna has a couple defenses to establish himself, have DDP beat Yokozuna. For America.

Bonus points if you do it on a regular TV show with no buildup, like DDP was just another jobber for Yoko to crush and then ~BANG!~

Bare in mind i'm in week 1 Oct... so I have a good 5 months of build untill Mania.

But Slaughter is currently Face, I was going to go the cocky heel route with DDP, maybe have an allience with Razor or somthing. DDP would have some vignettes hyping himself up , over a month , then have some promo's where he calls out Slaughter, Slaughter refuses at first, asking who this maggot ism eventually DDP annoys Slaughter too much and gets his wish.

My original plan with Yoko was to have him win the title at the Oct PPV, hold it untill Mania then lose to Hogan, defeating the evil Japanese at Mania brother jack dude. Or Yoko defeating Slaughter at Mania to lose to Hogan at Summerslam or whatever.

My head says Yokozuna to follow onto a feud with Hogan Brother Jack,

My heart says Badda Big, Badda Boom, Badda BANG!

There's a few ways you could go. I mean, first off, Hogan doesn't really need the US title. But, you could have DDP win the title at the October show, or maybe even Survivor Series, depending on how you want to draw it out, Slaughter wins the belt back at the Rumble, drops it to Yoko at Mania, then Hogan at Summerslam.

Or, have Yoko win the title at the October show, but do it via manager interference or something(salt in the eyes) to keep him strong(or just straight job him. It's your game), then have Yoko and Hogan do their thing while Slaughter moves on to face DDP without the title.

Or, have Slaughter/Yoko end in a DQ or other non-finish, have Yoko lead a Japanese, or "Japanese" team, against a Hogan team at Survivor Series, have Yoko not only win, but "injure" Hogan for the winter, then comes back at the Rumble swearing vengeance For America to set up a Mania match. This one might be too far outside of your current plans, but I'm just throwing stuff out there.
