Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Can't you do that but leave the guy off-screen? I'm fairly certain that'd be plausible, or at least if that isn't the case it should be.

Also, if you need help with that particular issue, that's not even gamey, you can throw in your interviewer if you use one, or just an announcer, into the storyline and have the interview the guy, giving a promo about the guy. It'll boost the storyline, and prevent the problem. It'd also make sense as that's usually the case too in wrestling in the real world.

I can't seem to use them, even in a "rant against opponent" role, but the interviewer note is interesting. Thanks for the tip.

To unlock motivational speeches, what do you have to do?

As Fatherly Approach is out of the game (or so it seems), does it basically come down to... doing nothing? That's not having a "velvet glove". That's just having a glove up your ass and not giving a crap. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

So far the only thing I'm comfortable on doing nothing is when they're being a dick and get beaten up as a result. That'll teach them better than any speech. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I had 2 of my guys get year long injuries from being loaned to BHOTWG for a night as champions.

I never noticed making extra money from my people being alliance champ. Or extra pop. So really no reason other than it counts in their title history if you want your people to be in the hall of immortals.

I don't know of a way you can turn off the penalty. But you could always change their risk levels in the in-game editor. (options> edit data).

Question myself that got lost a bit earlier or perhaps nobody knows- If you are on your own subscription network, what is the difference between a TV Show and a weekly event? I know product wise they could use different match/angle ratios and other differences like that. But in terms of financial and popularity gains is there one that is inherently better than the other? I would assume TV is somehow better, but if an event is shown to the exact same audience on the same network to the same attendance then I'm not sure how.

Actually I think TV might be worse since TV popularity gains (and losses) are only 25% of what they would be on events (the big shows). The only question is if a weekly event would still be considered that way, which I assume it is. Also can you still do post show speeches after weekly events too? That's a potentially free 12 morale boosts per month compared to tv.

I'm quite close to going National. My points total vs the WWF is not a huge amount below. Right now my shows always score in the mid to high 80s.

I'm unsure whether to cap myself until I'm winning the points battle or to just go National and see what happens.

How vital is the points battle? Will I drain popularity until I go above the WWF?

The industry is also terrible at the moment.

Thanks for any help.

It's 8 areas of 65 pop so try get to 70+ in 8 areas first. losing national battles easily gets you to drop straight back to cult if you go straight to National. If you give yourself that little bit of leeway, even with losing the national battles it would take a while if you're still putting on good shows to drop back. The more likely scenario is you avoid dropping completely if you can keep up the high 80s show every week

I've completed a search and have been unable to find help. I recently downloaded a real world mod and tried to play as the NWA using the new Alliance feature. This has worked absolutely fine in the past but this time after months and months of in-game time no Alliance title has been defended even in the wrestlers home promotion where they're regularly wrestling as a top guy.

I've seen suggestions in my searches that say raising the money that Alliance promotions have will help but this hasn't helped my situation nor has raising their popularity.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to fix this? Perhaps raising prestige of the promotion/title? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I chose often for my alliance titles and this increased the number of defenses significantly.

Once again, I find myself back in this thread lol

Question, is Angle Writer useless to get into? As far as creating a really detailed angle? In my case, I love having a whole segment written out because it adds to the immersion for me. I'm not fond of the whole "A talks crap about B to Interviewer." I like to write the whole promo out and all of that jazz.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no way for me go back to past shows and read all of what I wrote for that particular scene.

Should I just stick to basic angles and write them out in a separate program like Microsoft Word? Or is there actually a place where I can read them again?

For instance if you have a Japanese worker who only speaks Japanese in a locker room where everyone speaks English and No One else. speaks Japanese.

To solve either you can try to meddle to get them a friend or go out and sign a friend/person who speaks their language. If it's language you can also wait for the worker to pick up the language in your home region.

They may be ready in a month or it may take a year or longer. Some guys seem perfectly happy to work in development forever.
