And it’s the stars that they’ve singed to fill out the roster that I want to use. I can only use the stars I’ve signed and sent there.

The backstory is that my 1999 WWF roster lacks good females and I want to relaunch the women’s division. Small the good workers are in Japan

So I was playing last night and I was trying to Meddle in a positive way 2 wrestlers in my locker room. In doing so, I realized that I've never intentionally tried to make a negative relationship. So my question is does anyone here try to make negative relationships between people on your roster and if so, what is the benefit or is it just for role playing? I can't see the benefit of intentionally making Wrestler A and B dislike each other when I pay them to entertain the audience.

Reasons I can think of to do this.

1) Potentially split up a clique (I don't know if this actually works)

2) Goad two workers you don't like into fighting each other so you have an excuse to fire one of them.

3) Given how infrequently that command works, do it in hopes you mess up and they become friends (i also don't know if this actually works)

Depends of the worker and the situation. You can't always disagree with them, but you can't always say yes to everything. When I see that a wrestler (ME level) will drag down my segments by improvising and still wants to do it every time, I tend to isolate them until I can remove their creative control and overrun them. If they don't have CC I will do what's best for the segments. Even though sometimes I will agree with their requests to manage their satisfaction levels. Like I said, case by case basis.

If a worker is loyal to a company (not in Japan), will they always put that company first when considering their bookings? I want to bring in a worker emplyed by a larger company but who has a pre-set loyalty to my company. Will they work my shows over those of their other employer because they're loyal to my company?

No, I don't think so. I think it's just people in a position of power who can override the natural order of the biggest promotions picking first.

From experience: Loyalty has nothing to do with show availability.

I'm pretty sure the bigger company has priority.

Has anyone gotten a good match rating in SWF (pop over perf) using the ref bump booker note?

I want to use it to extend a feud with 2 ME of a title but every time I've used it before the match rating was a lower quality than if I just used a tainted victory or something similar. On the other hand, I've never used it for the ME, only mid and lower mid-carders.

Has anyone tried and gotten good ratings with it? And if so, did you do anything to set that up like other booking notes or calming of the crowd, etc.

OK, guys, maybe I am slow on the uptake but my question is this.

So storylines are pretty important right? (in pop over perf)

I hadn't had an A* match all year, I walk into my biggest show and my headline has an A* rated story and boom, it gets an A* match rating. I must admit I hadn't been paying much attention to what the heat rating was before now, I hadn't twigged it was that big a deal.

Is that right?

Yes, storylines are pretty important in pop > perf. Even in perf = pop or perf > pop. So long as you have momentum on and such.

Are you using any other road agent notes for the match? You could test this yourself by booking the event with the match, running the show, then exiting to the main menu after you've seen the grade for the match.

It's something that pops up now and then as a flavour thing with certain kinds of negative personalities (usually very manipulative ones).

Doesn't have an effect that I'm aware of.

I have seen some cases where the members of said clique will begin giving emails along the lines of "this guy is worth time!", and I've seen situations where if I make one job and he didn't want to and becomes annoyed, his buddies will also become annoyed. If you fire one, the others quit. I've never seen anything positive... like, if you give one a belt, the others don't become happy for it.

If you hire one, then you begin to slowly hire others, each one you've already hired will become more happy.

Why isn't there a hard cap on how often wrestlers can ask for raises or beg to be brought up from development?

It feels like the desire to "stop cheaters" is prioritized to a point where irritating the player is acceptable.

I dislike "annoy the player because someone might cheat" model. So what if someone cheats! There, I said it! I don't give a flippity flop if someone decides to edit all their contracts to 0, and signs a few overqualified guys as Dev Trainers. It just seems like the Anti-Cheating thing is infringing on normal players. Ugh.

I like to run as few of them as possible. I guess I've become a bit paranoid about the penalty. I also usually throw in some random off-hand upper midcarder either to take the fall or join the winning team to get some heat up.

Anybody try taking a national company off of Monthly PPV events and instead going the subscription service route or even running the events only on commercial television?

Is there a significant financial penalty? Is it sustainable at that level (or even at mid-Cult level)?

Funnily enough, the workers mentioning they want a callup mechanic was added because people didn't like it when you called up a worker who had been stewing silently about being in development and had enormous morale penalties.

Can't please everyone with this one, I guess. :p

Personally I like the mechanic - however I do feel anyone with less than say 2 years pro career should never complain too much especially if under 20 years old. (unless successful in MMA/movies etc)
