Is it totally deflating the rating, or is it scaled out?

It'll grade according to the worker's popularity as described in the Player's Handbook... depending on if the workers particularly excel in whatever category they are being graded on (Menace, Microphone, Sex Appeal). If it is purely an Overness angle, then yeah, expect an angle grade of about E+ for workers with E+ popularity.

The difference is that, because you are a Local company, you won't need to score high ratings to benefit from angles because your company's popularity will already be so low. Ditto your match ratings.

Reading the description of Touring Companies, "you will generally schedule between two and five weekly untelevised shows, plus one or two larger annual events". Basically, is this a suggestion or a demand? Is there any actual penalty to airing every single weekly event on television and/or pay per view rather than have the touring highlights TV deal?

Ran into a problem with trying to get a television deal. For some reason networks still have no interest in me despite meeting their requirements, and even though I meet the minimum popularity requirements it's saying I fail that field. Anybody know what could be up?

Here's a couple screenshots of my game:

In my recent save my workers don't make any progress when I put them in "rated on entertainment"-angles together with skilled workers. In another save they develop skills from that quite well. Why is this difference occurring?

Its not likely the product. I was thinking that if you had previously used an entertainment based product and were now using something performance based. But I doubt that would matter regardless.

You can't know for sure if they have the potential to improve. But being young and having good Star Quality are a good starting point. Showing up on the Creative Meeting lists as a future star is also a strong indicator.

Two things... One, make sure you are showing as numbers and not grades. If you are looking at grades, they could have improved but just not enough to change grades. And second, look in the In-Game Editor. Skills actually have a fractions. So you might see a skill is 60, but in the IGE, you could see that its 60.2. And if they have gotten a bit better, it might be 60.4 - an improvement, but not enough to actually show.

I didn't really compare the skill ratings of the workers itself, but instead i only looked into the "worker improvements"-sheet after matches. Now I checked the entertainment skills of some wrestlers I used a lot recently and they improved their skills significantly compared to others I didn't use. I'm still wondering though, why I never see any notes in the "worker improvements" screen in my WWE save, but I get many in my CZW save. Anyways, thank you very much for your help!

I have guys improving every show but with no road agent note about it.

Wish it was phrased a little better-- the exact wording the game uses is "our product makes gimmicks irrelevant".

I used the guy as a transitional champ more so than I intended and a few weeks after he lost the title to an upcoming heel, he announced that he was starting MMA training in 4 weeks I think it was. The title got moved about six months earlier than I intended but I'll have some faces chase the heel for some time.

So on to my new question, I've got Christian Faith and Tommy Cornell lined up for a Once in a Life Time match in 2 months. I tried looking for other wrestlers at or above 75% of the way to the Hall of Fame, and there doesn't seem to be a search option in the Roster or Worker search. Does anyone know if there is a more natural way to find that instead of looking thru them manually?

So Jack Bruce, Rocky Golden, and Nicky Champion. I don't think anyone else even comes close.

I also remembered that I could export the database into an MDB file and did that this morning and found that Champaign Lover, Axxis Jr, Bruce the Giant, and Wolf Hawkins were at least above 50% of the way there too. So I have to figure out if any of them have had a singles match before and then start a program leading to that.

I'm not sure how many people play in Japan. I keep meaning to, but I can't remember even so much as starting a game there in the last couple of versions... So bear in mind that this may not be the most up to date of information!

Basically, run the schedule that you'll feel comfortable doing in terms of personal interest and roster depth. I don't much care for booking more than a show a week (PPV week aside) but booking more than that should see your roster get better and more popular quicker (calendar-wise, at least) at the cost of wearing out quicker.

If you can rotate your roster (and only the most egotistical of main eventers will want to work more than once every second show) than you can multiple shows a week without issue.

I think that when you have a TV deal as a touring company then it automatically runs as highlights, rather than you setting up a weekly TV show, but maybe it's possible. Bear in mind that this may cause issues if you have a minimum number of TV shows to run in the contract, as during off months your touring workers won't be available. You could end up short of episodes at the end of your deal (but may be able to re-schedule and run multiple episodes a week?)

Running multiple PPVs a month certainly used to drag down the buyrates. I don't know if that's still the case.

To clarify this a tad. You can have TV shows and touring highlights, either or is up to you. Originally TEW 2016 did not have touring highlights at all but pretty sure they were re-added after complaints/suggestions.

As for running multiple PPVs a month, the game says it'll drag down your revenue if you have them too frequently. I have 2 a month and make great bank on it, not quite sure if I'd make more if I reduced it.
