<p>I'm confuffled with Storyline heat if anyone can help. </p><p> </p><p>

I am running CGC in the 97' mod and I'm having DeColt go against Barry Bowen. (i know, the obvious choice to start off with) and I'm running Angles that are in the mid to low 70's. But i keep getting the "segment brought down by low storyline heat" dirty sheet remark. Or something like that. At the end of three shows, they're storyline heat is 69 (C+)</p><p> </p><p>

But I'm curious what is generating this? The company is regional level and i only need to have a heat of 41 to keep the fans happy. The other storyline of the DeColts vs the School of Tradition is pulling mid to upper 50's, sometimes lower 60's and it never gets the remark. </p><p> </p><p>

So what gives? How is it that I have two great workers that are producing great content for the size of fed i am, but the game dings the ratings because of "low heat" when its the highest rated segments on the shows.</p>

The storyline heat only affects the rating of a segment if there is significant deviation between the storyline heat and the segment rating (Not sure where it falls in terms of modifier order). So your 69 storyline heat brings down the rating of an angle that would have been in the 70s because 69 is lower than low-mid 70s, but the segment should increase the overall storyline heat.

I'm not sure about the overall strategy here, but I suspect the idea is to lead off the storyline with the types of segments your workers do well (angels vs matches) and use the high heat that generates to bring up the other type of segment. This seems particularly effective if you have great entertainers who can generate a lot of heat from angles prior to their blowoff match.

Before I actually try one, I'd like to be sure of the following about Talent Trades.

Does the number of appearances apply to workers I'm giving up as well as the worker I'm receiving and in what way? For example, if I am ROH and I make a talent trade with PCW in which I give up wrestler X for 6 appearances of wrestler Y, it seems obvious that wrestler Y goes back to PCW after he makes 6 appearances in ROH. But when do I get wrestler X back?

It seems like these are the possibilities:

  1. Wrestler X comes back to ROH after he makes 6 appearances in PCW
  2. Wrestler X comes back to ROH after wrestler Y makes 6 appearances in ROH
  3. Wrestler X's contract is straight up owned by PCW now

Hello everyone, question about momentum and win-loss records. So in my current save I've hired a lot of talented young guys and I can't push them all at once. I also have some veterans I like for various reasons and I don't want them to be forever damaged by lots of losses.

Is there a point of no return with losses and bad momentum where you can't ever push the worker properly again? Does this have something to do with their current push i.e. keeping them as enhancement talent or opener prevents them from being permanently scarred by lots of losses? I just don't want to permanently ruin someone who doesn't deserve it because of a bad losing streak.

Thanks for any help.

You just have to book it right. I had a jobber tag team lose for a year and decided to start giving them a push as my next top babyface team. So I had them get tag wins over enhancement talents until their momentum got to positive, then I had them start winning against slightly more over teams. Then I put them in 20 minute losses to established teams which gave them more pop.

After a year and a half of build they were both main Eventers and their tag team rating is 99. A year later and they are still a tag team dominating everyone.

You can have a guy lose 100 matches and then start his climb like mentioned and have no problems.

I've got an International size company and have been hiring guys who are over in other countries but not America, so I have to build guys up like they used to be jobbers. I give them wins against enhancement talents just to get them to positive momentum, then I have them lose long open matches against main Eventers. I do this til they become a Midcard, then I let them won against other Midcards til they become an Upper.

Also, a good gimmick change resets any negative momentum to neutral so good Creativity skill can do wonders for this.

Thanks for your answer Lloyd. I'll try to keep that in mind. Tis just frustrating. I started off the feud with a menace angle that got rated 74. And of course it gets the initial cap and started off as something in the sixties. Oh well, I'll keep it in mind.

As for your talent trades question. I do not believe you are actually trading away to get someone in return lime you do in other sports. Instead, if you trade wrestler A for Wrestler B, bothbwrestler a and b will show on both promotions roster until the appearance or time thing is up.

The only issue I would see is if your both doing a show that night, I'm not sure which promotion they would wrestle for or has priority.

As long as your shows and the other promotion's shows don't conflict, there's no reason why they can't be booked on both shows in the same week/month/whatever.</p>

<p>I've tried to use the search feature but my phone isn't allowing me to use the links for some reason so apologies as this will definitely have been asked before.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyways, I'm looking to hire a worker who was involved in a race scandal 6 months ago in game, I'm being warned of the drawbacks so have yet to offer him a deal, he's ridiculously over though so I'm trying to weigh up the consequences. </p><p> </p><p>

So my questions are,</p><p> </p><p>

How big a consequence would there be for hiring him, and also how long does it take for him to no longer be considered as toxic? </p><p> </p><p>

Thanks for any help</p>

This is more of an opinion question. Currently playing as TCW with data from the 2013 game imported into TEW 2016. I'm really liking the way TCW is progressing so far. An issue has come up involving Rocky Golden - his contract is expiring and the owner Tommy Cornell won't even let me come close to the offers other promotions are making to him. There is a huge bidding war for him going on and I'm not even in the running. Frankly the offers seem ludicrous despite the fact that he has 93 popularity in the US.

My only option is to go with it and let him leave or cheat and try to edit data to make him stay. I'll probably just let him go but I was curious - do you think someone like Golden is worth 66,000 a month + 10% bonus per event in a promotion that emphasizes wrestling over popularity? It seems outlandish but at the same time I'm on a roll right now and hate the idea of losing someone so popular.

Also, have you guys discovered any good ways to stop guys from jumping ship so easily? I lost Eddie Peak earlier in the year and the offers were equally ridiculous, but he was a negative influence and not as popular so I just went with it. Thanks for any advice.

Honestly, 2013 Golden is worth much more to SWF and USPW than TCW. Golden is probably one of your top National Battle assets though (unless you've stacked your roster with a bunch of A-list talent), so that's bad news. Also, I wouldn't say 66,000 a month plus the 10% bonus is necessarily "easily". I mean, that's a pretty sweet deal, and difficult to pass up out of loyalty alone.

I have a question I'd like to ask, but didn't want to make a post about it. Basically to you what makes a good manager? I have different types of managers, and while it's easy to get the best out of them, I tend to hire a fair few female managers with high sex appeal, rather than the good talkers (Mainly because there aren't that many good talking managers out there) I was just wondering what everyone else does? <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I see questions pop up about the effects of unmasking a worker, but what about the other way around? Does anything change when you put a mask on a worker? I'm thinking of the idea of a worker going away, then coming back under a mask. If it's done well, it could/should be like a reset button for their momentum (and popularity I guess), but I guess that's not how it works?

As long all the people, pics, gimmicks, and move sets are all there, then the contracts are set up just the same.</p>

<p>What, if any, benefit is there to having a high match intensity/high match danger?</p><p> </p><p>

I mean, I want my workers to be safe and not have injuries right? Is there a benefit to having high risk matches? Will I sell more tickets or get higher show ratings? IRL I'd like WWE guys to work a safer style. (I literally never want to see another suicide dive ever again.) but do they add to matches?</p>
