I started a game as WWA (World Wrestling Association) in my Montreal Aftermath Mod, but I am confused on where the WWA logo came from. I downloaded most of the mods out there so I'm not sure which mod has the WWA:America, WWA:Mexico, WWA:etc... I hope to find out more about the logos because I would like to have more options for game. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Ugh so I made a really dumb mistake and want to fix it without restarting my save.

I signed a broadcast deal for what I intended to be a B show. I stupidly did not check the details of the show before I completed the deal. Turns out I ended up signing a contract for a second A show that is 2 hours. My intention was a B show that runs 1 hour.

I tried to edit the show details but no dice once the deal is complete. I ended up canceling the deal and the network charged me a fortune for breaking the contract. No biggie, I went into the editor and simply reimbursed myself the money as if it never happened. Cool, except for the fact that now I can't sign a deal for another B show for 3 months because of the cancellation. I really want a B show NOW <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Any ideas on how to reset the 3 month thing? As you can see I'm totally willing to "cheat" to fix this. Oh lret me also mention I simmed a full week before I noticed the mistake. DUH! Any help is appreciated.

I don't think the mSp pic pack comes with those. But there is a set of WWA logos with different locations that were done for the Cverse. Likely from that. So no real world background for those logos.

Is there any way to track your promotion's popularity? Probably a dumb question, but I can't see anything at the moment.

On your main company screen, click on Size. It lets you look at Importance or Popularity of your promotion, as well monthly progress (Track Progress button).

Does basically nothing that happens on a B show count at all? I've had huge upsets happen and it looks like no movement in popularity for either guy. Granted, I didn't go in the editor and see if there was .05 or whatever, just wondering so I don't get all obsessive.

The answer to the mods is yes. There's mod section here where you can find all the mods available (a list of all of them is available)

Regarding which one to get. I'd always say tew16, every new release of tew gets better and the changes although some may seem small, are big changes for the better.

I think there's an idiots guide somewhere, not sure where to find it.

So i am confused... In my book an "announcer" stands in the ring and annouces name, weight and origin of a wrestler.

A "colour commentator" in most cases sits behind the desk and comments the match.

But in most TEW databases people like Jim Ross are set as announcer but people like Lillian Gracia also. In the editor under companies it´s possible to set up to 3 "announcers" for one brand of a company. So my guess is they actually mean commentators? Because almost no company in the world has 3 ring announcers for 1 show...

So whats the difference between announcer and commenator in TEW logic?

An announcer is a synonym for a commentator. It's fairly standard US terminology.

Garcia et al would be a Ring Announcer, not an announcer, and are not covered in TEW.

I have a question regarding TV ratings.

I have dragged a promotion up from Local to Regional and I had a TV show being shown on a station that had the lowest coverage (Tiny). I was eventually pulling in 0.34's regularly for an episode.

I now have the show being shown on a station that has Small coverage. I am now only pulling in 0.06's again. It seems I've gone backwards.... My pop is rising every month, so what could cause this?

The ratings numbers correspond to number of people who watched your show. If your show is broadcast to LESS people, that would reduce the pool of viewers you would have access to. Thus, the numbers would be smaller even though the network is technically larger.

Hello everyone,

So I've had a resurgence in my interest in TEW and wrestling in general. I've gone through a year with a created promotion and I have three questions based on the year of gameplay.

First, I'm playing Derek B's great cverse 97 MOD. I created a local fed in the northwest region and I'm about to make the jump to small.

So the questions are,

1: Is there a cap on a workers popularity if they're working only a certain sized company in a region? I have Tom Gilmore, Chris Perkins and Taylor Morton putting on 35+ overall segments (matches and angles) on a consistent basis but no ones pop is over 20 and has been that way for three months or more.

2: It somewhat ties into my first question. My player character is managing The Punished and consistently putting on angles 25 or higher. But the player character is has stayed at a pop if 2 for the last nine months. (His star power is in the 50s). What do I need to do to get him over?

3: Troy Tornado's gimmick is just awful. I tried to change it, it's still awful. So I'm curious if I put a mask on him, will it be a whole new character? Or will the game have the crowd Just recognize that it's Troy Tornado and it not mean anything. If so, is there a way to have him portray a new character under a mask so the fans don't know it's him. (This will also be helpful when moving Taylor Morton to Acid.)

I thank you all for your time. I'll continue to search this thread for these answers when I get home from work and not on my phone.

Aside from a worker's (random) popularity cap, there is no cap associated with promotion size. It's possible to get a worker to 100 popularity (popularity cap allowing) and still be local/small/regional in promotion size. Also, you note 'three months or more' but don't mention how often you run shows or how many segments the workers are involved in. If you're running monthly shows and the workers are in three segments in three months, you're probably not going to see a whole lot of popularity growth. Unless you're checking the editor, you may not notice increases of 0.1, for example.

2. If your player character is simply 'managing' a worker (and not being actively involved in angles), they're not going to get any popularity. There is no 'popular by association' in TEW, at least not without specifically designing angles for that. Just because you walk him to the ring doesn't mean people are going to stand up and take notice. You have to be an active participant in angles to gain popularity as a manager. Not sure if interfering in matches counts (never tried that). As has been pointed out to me, Miss Elizabeth was basically mute for the majority of her career but in angles with Macho Man, in TEW terms, she would be rated on Sex Appeal (so she'd still be an active participant in the angle).

3. Putting a mask on a worker does not reset their gimmick. That would be a colossal loophole if it worked like that.

Thanks for the answers.

I am running one show a month, The main eventers I"m worried about are usually in 3 or 4 segments a show. I was just curious about thier being a cap only because it seems like Gilmore went from 8 to 20 on a pretty decent incline in over 7 months time and has Platued in the last three months despite the proverbial rocket to his back.

The way i thought pop worked that as long they hadn't reached there destiny cap, that they could gain pop for winning matches against someone with more pop, or if they were in matches or angles that were rated more then there pop. (i think there is supposed to be a threshold, but not not sure how much)

As for the manager, I have been putting him in Freestyle angles with Punisher. I knew it had to be active in a segment to get some sort of pop gains. It just seemed weird that he gained 2 Pop points in the first month, and then has been steadily at 2 since then despite the angles. Oh well, I'm hoping it will start to go up a bit soon.

I was curious about the mask because I usually hear stories about how wrestling promoters would put someone under a mask when they green and needed to get exposure but didn't want to bury someone. so you put them in a mask that no one knew about, and you let them get on the hands training without burying their name. So i was to do something like that with Troy for a few months until i could change around his gimmick.

I know this would be a loop hole if it didn't have drawbacks. For instance, if someone that wasn't a huge star went under a mask, not many except maybe those backstage would know who it was. So whatever pop the guy had would drop to zero and you would have to build him up all over again. Then unless you had a unmasking angle on a show, whatever gimmick bonuses and pop the guy had, would be lost except for when he had the mask on. Oh well, if there is a new game, maybe it's something that can be incorporated.

Thanks for the answers. They are much appreciated.

And sometimes, it wouldn't even be a rookie, it would be an established worker who the booker didn't want associated with that particular match so they'd work under a mask. But there are a lot of things TEW can't really accurately simulate. For example, Flair and Steamboat worked their "legendary match" over 200 times, sometimes 15 times in a single week. Work the match here, jump in the car, drive two hours and work the exact same match again, and so on. Unless you turn repetitive booking off, you can't do that in TEW. A lot of "ol'skool" things can't really be replicated in TEW.

I know this would be a loop hole if it didn't have drawbacks. Just appearing is enough for them to get boosted. So 'building him up again' may not be that big a deal, in an overall sense.
