Gungner
I've noticed the Total Mayhem match... it's it "supposed" to be used on the Total Mayhem PPV?
BrokenCycle
I haven’t done a TCW game since TEW10 but I’ve been going over this company and this thread thinking about taking on the task of bringing TCW back from the brink. From what I have seen so far the loss of some of your big name workhorses and the aging of others has handicapped the rosters ability to compete star quality and match grade wise. Without completely tearing this company apart, what is the difficulty of bringing TCW up to speed with the SWF and USPW in 16? I think people get WAY too into the strategies of each promotion. TCW is a lot more balanced, and there's pieces that need to be replaced. Same for every single major promotion in the game because the game world is so stagnant (in good and bad ways). There's nothing really to know about it before playing, because the formula is always the same: Play, get into a groove, win.
DatIsraeliGuy
I gotta say, with all the discussion about Marat Khoklov, you really don’t hear much about Eddie Peak, whilst not as menacing, he’s MUCH better in ring performer, and on top of that can cut a promo very well. Unless he starts on time decline, I strap a rocket to his behind and put him in a program with Golden and Andrews to spice it up, adding Danny Fonzarelly as Darkness and form a ministry-like stable. I even got an A- in a match with him, Golden and Andrews

codey_v2
<p>So, question:</p><p> </p><p> What is it about Danny Fonzarelli? I mean, every TCW game I've ever started I've received the note that I've got to get Danny up to 77 pop when I see him as nothing more than an upper card jobber. I checked to see if maybe Kyle Rhodes had a style preference for him, but Rhodes likes "wrestling as a sport" and Fonzarelli's only relationship is with his old partner sitting down on the indies. What does the game like so much about this guy that they're forcing me to push?</p>

Teh_Showtime
<p>Yeah speaking of Eddie Peak he's always amazing for me as well. His psych usually shoots up and his menace angles can keep him over for years. I've found teaming him with the New Wave recently works a bunch in my (almost) stable/unit based TCW run. He's older and not as over so I don't really push him hard, but he is my current go to utility guy on the roster. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="sewMDCY.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sewMDCY.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
Jaysin
Is there a canon-reason why Seth Whitehead wasn't signed by TCW when he graduated from their school? He's not pinged for a negative personality, he has no relationships, and starts out as a pretty okay worker given his experience level. Bigpapa42
I was actually talking about when all these threads are full of "Okay hire this guy because of such and such, then do this, then you're going to have to do this, then this will happen, so do this, then this, this, this, and this..." Fair enough. I like to take a bit of a structured approach with regard to hirings, too. Not as much, but I find it helps as well, given my particular play style. I have a strong tendency to over-hire. I usually run national or large cult sized companies, which usually have some money. So I will open up a developmental company at the smallest possible size (sometimes two, or even three) and stock it up. If I'm not selective, I can find reasons to hire dozens of workers. More. I'm good at finding a "possible use" for almost anyone. A lot of "maybe they will develop" hires. Playing in the Cverse or Tverse, there are so many possible hirings. I'm not much different if I'm playing WMMA, minus the developmental company openings. I don't plan massively when it comes to who to sign. But I like to set some boundaries and guidelines. Go in with some ideas of who I want to sign and who I want to simply watch to see if they develop. I find that helps avoid a bit of the bloat I will otherwise end up with. I can't count the number of games where I did just that for the sake of filling up the indie scene with better workers. Heck, I do it to SNP out of Scotland just because they can afford to blow through their cash like that.</p>

I’ll hire a massive amount of not great indy workers that I don’t expect to want to use myself to one year development contracts just so I can pump them up and send them out into the world. When they’re contracts up I’ll usually send them out into the world but every now and then a guy will surprise me by developing stellar stats in an area I could really make use of or they formed a tag team that I can call up to use as a jobber team on b shows.</p>
Gungner
I've decided to start my TCW save again. I'm one month in, and it's the day after Malice in Wonderland, which looked like this: https://puu.sh/zkQVZ/44c5d658f3.jpg My long term plan is to bring back the All-Action title and create a Women's division. I've created my development company and the roster looks very good. There's a lot to build on, on the main roster. Should be noted, this is my first attempt ever at a C-Verse save. Matt_Black
My long term plan is to bring back the All-Action title and create a Women's division. If I may offer some suggestions regarding the latter... 1) Shortlist Tracy Brendon. While she doesn't have as high a pop as Sara Marie York or the other names you'll probably look at first, she's an excellent talent who's good in a variety of roles. Furthermore, she's married to Joshua Taylor so, provided they don't get a divorce, will provide a boost to the backstage morale (which, for whatever reason, I find remarkably difficult; I have an easier time with SWF, and that's got negative influences out the wazoo!). Plus, you can hire her sister Michelle as a secondary (or tertiary) road agent. Also a very positive influence, she's a locker room leader to boot. 2) Keep an eye out. USPW will likely cut one of their top female wrestlers in the first year, possibly even the first 6 months. The most likely candidates (at least the ones I usually see get cut) are Raven Nightfall, Gorgon, or Alicia Strong. All three are excellent. Raven might be in Time Decline, and Gorgon possibly as well, but both will take on younger female talent as proteges. And Alicia is just phenomenal. 3) Cut a Working Agreement with NOTBPW. They're open to that, and then, if you have a B show, take a loan of their women wrestlers and get them some U.S. exposure. That way, when NOTBPW cuts them, they'll already have a leg up if you decide to sign them. Unfortunately, who NOTBPW cuts is a bit less predictable than USPW. 4) Similarly, you can cut a deal with 5SSW. They have some great talent, but not all are available to be hired in the U.S. right out of the gate. That's where the talent trades come in. The best choice is probably HEART Saitoh. A lot of the other talent is either very green, likely to retire soon, or a negative influence. (In some cases maybe 2 of those 3). Yu Hashimoto is good too, as she's one of the few women wrestlers who start off classified as a Good Brawler. EDIT: And since I brought it up- here is a list of female talent I've seen take on proteges- Raven, Gorgon, Melody, Suzanne Brazzle, Joanne Rodriguez, Steffi Chee, Demelza Wade (very rare though), Katherine Goodlooks (admittedly this was at least 2 years into a game), Raku Makuda, and DEVIL Karube. Gungner
I don't know yet... I like them as the tag team that runs rampant until someone finally stops them. They'll have a match or two more against Devine Fortune. I've hired Marat Khoklov, who debuted at Malice in Wonderland by attacking Rocky Golden, so they're feuding now. He's currently acting as Andrews' bodyguard. Though they're heels, I like the idea of them as tag champs, or Andrews and Hawkins. Would mean, I'd need a face team as transitional champs, or have a multi man tag match.
