Well good news is I didn't quit and I'm running on no sleep at the moment from trying to get things rolling with TCW. I ended up creating a women's division and destroying the AAA roster. Alicia Strong and Gorgon weren't resigned by USPW so I snatched them up too. I've built my women up well and have my women's championship labelled as main event. Forgive me for wanting more women in the hall of immortals lol. Anyway my roster is starting to come together as I'm still competing with the other major promotions in the world. SMY and Charity Sweet just main evented TCW Threatening Behavior and pulled an 81. The feud was hot and I was hoping they could get more but this is a huge step forward for women for main eventing a ppv in a male dominated promotion and business.</p><p> </p><p> The Rock City Stars and The Ring Generals are being handled very carefully as I view them as the future of my tag division. I also brought in Doug Peak in order to team him up with Eddie. They are slotted for tag team gold very soon and New Wave will take a much needed break from the titles. The Southern Stars have also been doing well along with a makeshift team of Acid II and El Mitico who now goes by Messiah Negro. All in all everything is looking good and I was able to get a hot free agent in Atom Smasher after SWF didn't renew his contract. I'm gonna make them regret casting off valuable midcarders by turning these people into superstars. Atom Smasher is already being groomed for a run at the top. He just has to get through Ino & Arsenal within the next six month's before he gets a crack at BV.</p>

<p>You've got to work the relationship game. I was able to keep Wolf, Bach, and RDJ. I did so basically by losing Rocky Golden.</p><p> </p><p>

I got Wolf and Bach to have simmering tension with Golden after he signed with USPW to leave us via luck I guess.</p><p> </p><p>

Then Wolf and Bach became strong friends. Wolf also became strong friends with like 5 midcarders who would be easy to keep (Art Reed, Killer Shark, Bulldozer Brandon Smith, Cali Slick, Greg Gauge).</p><p> </p><p>

Then I just gave them the best contracts I possibly could. Even though USPW outbid me he wasn't interested in their offer. </p><p> </p><p>

By the way my contracts were absurd and I'm not sure they were worth it.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm talking Minimum push Main Event, Icon, 10% Bonus on ppv AND TV shows, cover travel, 6 years. That's how Wolf resigned for me.</p><p> </p><p>

Edit: FYI unless you only care about his SQ for the National Battles Sammy Bach is a waste of money. In 2 years He's done a 6 month movie shoot and now just went away on a 11 month movie shoot.</p>

<p>Anything I can do to keep Golden from complaining about losing to Andrews? I've tried using Protect, Keep Strong, and making it an Interference finish, but he still isn't happy. In my test I tried smoothing it over afterwards with something like $100k in bonuses and he still was angry.</p><p> </p><p>

I would just do it, but I drew the short straw on his contract renewal (six months) and I don't want to make it impossible to re-sign him. Of course, maybe that's a lost cause anyway.</p>

<p>I'm not sure how well it works in this game, but if I had a worker in TEW 2010 and they were a problem (I wanted Bruce the Giant to put Enygma over and he wouldn't usually) I would put them in a tag with a guy with less overness and have his team lose and his partner eat the pin. </p><p> </p><p>

It usually dropped the guy with high overness just enough that he's do the job on the PPV. </p><p> </p><p>

Or, you could try a screwjob finish, lol</p>

<p>TCW has always been my favorite company going back to hGC. Going to be starting a brand new TCW game tomorrow to actually kick me off with TEW 2016. I have not booked a show yet and just bought the game last night. I have been around since EWD2000 too.</p><p> </p><p>

I am hoping to take a lot of the advice in this threads previous 12 pages to stay up at the top and become the best promotion.</p>

<p>I'm starting to think that I just don't understand how to book TCW right. Like, after a full year in my current game, I have never been able to put on a show rated over 86. </p><p> </p><p>

Then, last night I started playing a new save of my slightly modified TCW game, to try some new story ideas. I ran a Rocky Golden v Tommy Cornell match - the 2 biggest stars in the company - "Once in a Lifetime" show note, at a major PPV. Rocky goes over via a clean fall, thanks to a distraction from a wrestler Cornell is feuding with in an 86 rated storyline. And I did it after a 'Calm the Crowd' match and 2 hype angles to build up hype again. Final match rating... 75. </p><p>

Meanwhile, Matthew Keith vs Marc Speed for the IC belt gets me an 82.</p><p> </p><p>

At this point, I'm genuinely starting to think that I'm missing something. I understand that in a performance > pop company, good wrestling is better than stars. But neither Keith nor Speed have skills as high as Golden. Even though I have people on my roster getting super over and getting more skilled, the shows as a whole never get hotter, and even the matches never really improve. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm running solidly rated storylines. I'm building new talent, and keeping old talent strong. Viewers & PPV buys go up. I just can't get show ratings up. I mean, I'm still enjoying my fantasy booking of Sammy Bach trashing dressing rooms, so maybe I should stop caring about #'s. But I like doing well.</p><p> </p><p>

Any help would be appreciated.</p>

If you run that same match with a 'regular' match aim it would do fine. Those 'Once In A Lifetime' and 'Epic' notes really are sink or swim. Either A* or not main event quality. It's a gamble to use that aim. Regular is the safe way to go.</p>

<p>When TEW16 first came out I couldn't get into TCW at all... without Tommy.. I just had no interest... however as time has gone on I have changed my mind somewhat. Enough to give them a proper shot now. </p><p> </p><p>

Looking at their roster ,it's not to bad at all... I prefer it to SWF's starting roster. </p><p> </p><p>

TCW has young stars at the ready with Wolf, Andrews and Golden. with Jay Chord waiting for that one big push. 4 guys within 8 months that will be your future for the next 6-10 years. </p><p> </p><p>

You also have Sammy Bach that is great for short term . </p><p> </p><p>

You also have 5 or 6 guys that are over like RDJ, Troy, Peak That can put over Chord and the signee's you bring in and want pushing towards the top.</p><p> </p><p>

You have enough room on the roster to really bring in your own guys without having to get rid of too many.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I'm looking to bring in a couple of guys to be shot straight up to Main event. a handful to fill up the midcard. Looking to bring in 4 or 5 more tag teams. Looking into making the International an Uppermidard title and bringing in either a cruiserweight or Junior Heavyweight division with a few signee's to bring that division along. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I don't see Andrews as being the guy to hold the strap for long. Wolf and Golden are my stars, however Andrews will be getting a new gimmick or stable that I can get behind and use to want to push </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Thinking of giving Sammy Bach a world title reign, he has the SQ and skills for it. Thinking of having him be defeated once or twice by the champion, but wins my version of a MITB match... cashes in and wins the title. He gets called out for not earning it properly and goes on a quest to be a fighting champion and earn the respect of his peers and be seen as a proper champion. fighting every week against any and all untill he finally gets the respect of the former champion. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Thinking of pushing Scout as a singles guy for a hile too. he done great when i had him at my cult CZCW putting on 80/90 individual performances. Got to think of the right angle/reason for him too tho.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Any tips on what to call a TCW MITB kinda thing.</p><p> </p><p>

All i have is the Golden Shot.</p><p> </p><p>

Or Tommy's Last Stand, The Cornell. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

If I can I want to help out CZCW too. signing their talent to PPA's so any overness they gain from me will help CZCW too. Untill any other big company comes in for any of them then i'll be locing their talent up</p>

Wolf and Rocky basically keep themselves over regardless of booking so Andrews and Chord are my two go-to youth projects (potentially Mighty Mo as well depending on destiny roll).</p><p> </p><p> Sammy is always a guy I try to push, because I see him as a mixture of Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles (Jeff more in terms of the gimmick, AJ in terms of the progression of ring style), which I find really cool. Plus, he's been with the company for ages and absolutely deserves a run with the belt in my eyes. </p><p> </p><p> I don't like the idea of a Money In The Bank briefcase for TCW though, since they're far more straight-laced than SWF and USPW, so I tend to go for something that resembles the G1. You get a similar end result but it's presented as a more legitimate sporting competition. My version of that was called the TCW Grand Prix, which is kind of a weird name but I was out of ideas at the time!</p>

<p>Yea I was thinking the same thing about a MITB style thing in TCW. It didn't quite fit the more legit style. </p><p> </p><p>

G1 climax I was considering, however, I want this thing with Sammy to look like a bit of a fluke and thus being looked down upon an then having to prove himself to earn the respect of a Rocky Golden. </p><p> </p><p>

G1 Climax, isn't the winner just like a Rumble where the winner gets a match the big show of the year.? It's a bit too tough to win for the winner to get classed as lucy. </p><p> </p><p>

I may just have to go with Triple Threat match either normal match or a Ladder match... Sammy Gets taken out in the first quarter of the match, is out cold for the middle half of the match then comes tooo towards the end and climbs the ladder for the title whilst the other two are down/ hits surprise finisher and gets the pin?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Andrews like I said.. I can't get into him at the moment, I i can find somthing I can sink my teeth into then i'll give me somthing to run with.</p><p> </p><p>

I do want 6 proper Main eventers. 3 heels/ 3 faces and up to 4 on the lower Main event end of things to be pushed last minuet and be used to face the champ at the secondary PPVs. At the moment Andrews would be in the Lower Main event role just waiting and treading water until I think of somthing.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Top Faces: </p><p>

Rocky,</p><p>

Bach,</p><p>

Jacob Jett (when he becomes available, love this guy, hopefully he doesn't get a bad roll)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Top Heels: </p><p>

Wolf Hawkins </p><p>

Greg Gauge , </p><p>

Jay Chord</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Secondary Faces: Frankie Perez, Fro Sure, Hiroyasu Gakusha </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Secondary Heels: Andrews , Scout, Toshiharu Hyobanshi.</p><p> </p><p>

There's some wriggle room in there, especially in the secondary main eventer spot depending on if anyone under performers, get inured or if another person puts on great matches. Guys like Mighty Mo, Kirk Jameson, Masked Cougar, El Mitico Jr, Brandon Smith could alway rise up to that level.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

What you could do, since TCW is still very much American pro wrestling, is maybe just have Bach get "help" in a few important tournament matches maybe by opponents rivals and potential (heel) allies as well, only for it to be revealed he actually didn't have anything to do with it and he can prove himself from there.

Maybe you follow Showtime's advice and throw in some heel friends helping him to win a couple of these matches, even though he doesn't want the help, so that when his big match comes along the whole thing is shrouded in doubt as to whether he can do it alone (having cast of these friends in the mean time)?</p><p> </p><p> The G1 is just a round robin tournament with two brackets. Just started my second save with TCW (second C-verse save ever), and hopefully it'll go well this time around. I'd actually also like an answer to the question above, 'cause I'd like to create a cruiserweight division down the line, and bring back either the All Action or Cruiserweight title... And if all goes well, perhaps a women's division in a few years.

And I'm just itching to give the tag titles to Andrews and Hawkins... They just scream Rated RKO to me <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Just finished the first month, and I must say, I did alright. Show ratings of 86, 86, 87, 88 and Malice in Wonderland scoring an 89 is quite alright for someone who's only tried the C-Verse 2 times, and never booked a TCW show before <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I finished up the main storylines at Malice, and now Andrews is feuding with Taylor, and Golden is feuding with Khoklov (who interfered in the main-event on Malice, helping Andrews retain).</p>

I haven't really gotten into TCW yet but planned a cruiserweight division when I did. Anyone done that?

Currently writing about doing exactly this in 2016. I actually modified my product for storyline purposes -- with hosses like Rocky in the main event, it probably isn't doing me too many favors.

Some quick notes: The Talent is definitely there, both on the TCW Roster and in smaller feds. Depending on your weight cap (I use Lightweight) you can move guys up and down a weight class so they can join. For example, young guns like Jermaine Courtney and Mighty Mo can move down to Middleweight and compete -- and older stars like Sammy Bach and Human Arsenal can move from Middleweight to Lightweight.

I'm not entirely sure how the weight mechanic works as it has been tweaked, but I've seen recently that many stars can lose weight without changing body type -- which can be helpful with "Toned" middleweights.

So far, I've been getting good mid card ratings from my cruiserweight guys (C or C+) even though they aren't very over. I've seen Frankie Dee get over quickly, Kill Switch too. Super Ninja is a name I usually sign -- he has prior history in the old TCW Cruiserweight division.

One thing I like to do: Have Aaron Andrews join the Cruiserweight division and hold both titles simultaneously. He starts at Middleweight, but can move to Lightweight (though may not want to). This immediately gives the division legitimacy while establishing that "smaller, athletic" stars are cruiserweights. In particular, it establishes the subsequent champion.

My favorite thing to do with TCW is to take advantage of their location.

Here's what I mean. Canonically, they're in California. I have their HQ right in mid-city LA, one of the most diverse urban areas in the US. Thus, I make some product changes. In order to appeal more to the Spanish-speaking element who might otherwise watch SotBPW, I go to medium (sometimes high) lucha libre and hire guys like Mr. Lucha III, El Mitico, Sunburst, Gino Montero, etc. I also up Hardcore to medium to grab the fans of IPW and GSW and get some of their biggest stars--if you can get him actual ring skill, Fro Sure is incredible. I go out of my way to push an ethnically diverse roster--after all, people are more likely to watch a wrestling show with a star who looks like them. While I keep risqué and comedy minimal (we're not trying to compete on equal footing with SWF and USPW--TCW is serious wrestling), I always raise Cult to at least medium, usually higher. I try to make my characters real people. While they may be "aligned" in game, virtually everyone is a tweener to some degree. Except Aaron Andrews. He's just bad. But I feel upping cult is appropriate because we're trying to appeal primarily to teens and adults. I always get a bigger TV and PPV deal and sign Marat, of course, because you have to, but long-term, the goal is to beat SWF and USPW with guys like Sayeed Ali, Frankie Perez (as Killswitch), Greg Gauge--nuanced, interesting characters who can go in the ring, are willing to bleed a little and would die before they break kayfabe.

Just my two cents on the greatest company in the C-Verse.

My favorite thing to do with TCW is to take advantage of their location.

Here's what I mean. Canonically, they're in California. I have their HQ right in mid-city LA, one of the most diverse urban areas in the US. Thus, I make some product changes. You just inspired my next run of TCW....I never thought to evolve them in that direction but it makes absolute sense.

I'd love to hear about it. What's everyone's view on TCW's financial standing in this game? I've played a few different CornellVerse games, and in most of them, TCW has gotten absolutely slaughtered due to financial issues. In an MAW game once, Brent Hill, Edd Stone, Darryl Devine, and Killer Shark all walked out, and in my current game with a custom workrate-based company, I've poached Eddie Peak, Aaron Andrews, Joshua Taylor, Stone, and Guide, while currently being in a bidding war for Elmo Benson! It seems like a real challenge from that perspective.
