<p>I'm about a month and a half (Week 3, February, 2016) into my first ever C-Verse save on TEW. Enjoying TCW very much so far. Andrews is currently feuding with Joshua Taylor, but will retain the title over the next three months, until Sammy Bach defeats him for it at Total Mayhem. After that, I'm kinda considering giving Andrews a run with the tag titles, alongside Wolf Hawkins... I dunno why, but I kinda see them as the C-Verse version of Rated RKO <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I also won the National Battles in January, so I'm hoping I can hold on to National a little longer after reading many scary stories of falling to Cult within the first few months.</p>

I am really struggling to keep my storylines up to acceptable levels so I don't take a penalty. It seems that every match and angle I book are not doing so well. I have some "rules" that I am playing by, thanks to somebody in the booking committee thread gave them to Dave_Scott. I had Rocky Golden v. Wolf Hawkins head line my main show and it only pulled a B-. Most of my angles (with the default) storylines are also pulling under the needed 77. Any help on how to book with TCW would be helpful.

Another trick if you have a good feeling a match or angle to start a feud will be a "hot angle" dont book a lesser angle or match involving those wrestlers, it will bring the total heat down. dont start too many new feuds the same week if you stagger them you can prevent that note since its another hot feud your crowd hasnt seen. I know this years games weighs the main event match not the last angle on the show as main event so i usually end the show on a Match instead of an Angle unless i know i have a great match .</p>

Angle cloning is an excellent way to maximize your booking. I save multiple angles as _doub ent, _trip ent, etc as they show up at the top of the list and modify them to my workers strength with menace, microphone, sexiness, anything. It's not cheap, it's just booking to your strengths!

No need to really do this anymore. Just freestyle it if that's what you're into.

Have you tried the Keep Strong notes?

I managed to drop TCW down to Cult a month into the game. Pretty bummed, and I'm considering abandoning the save while I try to figure out how to have better TV shows.

In '16, National Battles are no longer won by having the best show in a month. It's all about star power. You're going to lose unless you hire a big star (Marat) or get some of your own guys (more) over.

On the company screen there's a button titled "National Battle," which will show you where you stand compared to the other companies in your area.

Anybody have a solution for top stars being poached by USPW in the first few months? I'm in March of year 1 and USPW just offered Rocky Golden something like $89,000 per month with wage matching, creative, and veto.

I've got him some strong friendships through mettling with Vita, Joel Bryant, Joshua Taylor (who is leaving too). He's strongly considering my offer as well of about 65k per month with CC, veto, Icon, Never lower than main event for 7 years. Non-compete not included and +20% for events.

Anyone think I have a chance? Has anyone out negotiated USPW for Golden?

Eh, it's still a lot quicker to modify my custom default angles since I only have to make one or two quick changes at most. Smaller, two person angles aren't an issue, but when I have to do 4, 5+ performer angles it's kind of annoying to create a fresh freestyle angle.

I'm not so sure its possible. Prestige plays into the negotiations, and if USPW dropped to Cult, then you might have a shot. But USPW has so much resources behind them now. And honestly, if you do keep him, it might be financially crippling. It definitely would be if you managed to keep a few to guys by outbidding USPW, SWF, etc.

With a long term TCW game, you pretty much need to prepare to lose some of the top guys on the card. Be grooming the talented undercard and look for future stars with Star Quality and talent, then sign them to 10 year deals.

OK. Yea good point. Well, I'm going to have him job to Wolf at the pay per view and drop the TCW belt. Ashame as he just won it 1 month ago. Is the hot shotting going to damage the belt's prestige?

Sammy Bach's got a movie coming up. Joshua Taylor signed with USPW (not before getting Jay Chord up to a 70 pop though). I managed to get Ace Andrews up to 82 pop by jobbing in open matches to Rocky and beating RDJ. Times are hard in Hollywood.

Has anyone had any success moving Johnson and Chandler up the card? They're both so talented (albeit older) that I want to book them against The New Wave and a reformed High Concept as serious contenders for the Tag titles---but they are so drastically below those other teams in Overness that they're basically out of the other teams' league. Any advice for getting those guys over quickly? Has anyone hired Adrian Garcia for them?

Booking them in Open Match losses with the more over teams helps though. 3 months in even with Eddie Chandler's record being 1-15 he is just over 50 pop. So I'm sure if you gave him some wins he'd rise faster.</p>

<p>Also Ive found the Hire Local option very useful...at least to get the ball rolling.</p><p> </p><p>

Usually I just have a plan of you I want to put over hire local guys and set their roles to be opposite and just have who have I want to push squash them.</p>

my question is should i hold a King of Ring Style Tournament in the name of Tommy Cornell?

Its after Summer Showdown and i thought i king of the ring style tournament to help build someone up to the main event like Jay Chord or Josh Taylor might be a good thing. Since Marat is my champion give him someone new to beat down and possible lose the title to instead of Rocky Wolf or Andrews

That makes sense .. My next ppv is Destructive Energy but i think im going to put this Tournament as a an event in between it . Think it will give me another chance to put Sammy Bach over and get his pop into the 90's so he can take the title off of Marat.

Also thinking of turning new wave heel as they have faced all of my heel teams.. in a way to keep them fresh. Think i will put them against Rocky and Josh Taylor.

<p>I'm new to TEW and I'm booking TCW. Finding it very enjoyable but challenging at the moment. First month was tough, most of my shows were B and above but had one show at B-. PPV was only a B and was considered a disappointment and was losing the National Battle in the first month. Still raked in a healthy $427,459 profit.</p><p> </p><p>

Second month has been better, had one show at a B+ which had an ending segment which had my top two storylines cross over (I like to do that for ratings and a whole show feeling) and my PPV also got a B+ rating and was considered a success. Currently winning the National Battle and got a profit of $472,926; I don't know if these are good profit numbers by the way, it seems as though having to increase production values really eats your money away. Also even though I'm supposed to be gaining popularity I somehow am losing it in the states but gaining in Canada even though I've done no shows in Canada whatsoever. Doesn't make much sense to me...</p><p> </p><p>

Rocky is still my figurehead at the moment but Hawkins is clearly dwarfing him in popularity and in terms of important players. I'm doing a slow build for him to take the title at the next historic PPV in the summer. Right now I have him as the leader of the big stable in TCW Bulletproof (Hawkins, Vessey, Peak, Marat and soon to be Chord) and had him role over Taylor (who I'm going to build back up now), is gonna feud Bach before taking the title from Rocky. That's the big plan. I have some people in mind who I'm building for the future, the big one being Chord.</p><p> </p><p>

I also have a long term plan for the tag team division as I'm building The Behemoths as big heel monsters before having maybe either a face Canadian Animals or The New Wave take the titles. They are getting over well in the mid card. Also been building to a story for Devine Fortune to break up so I can push Darryl Devine as a single's wrestler with Dharma Gregg as his manager (they have money chemistry). So trying to build the mid card.</p><p> </p><p>

It's tough though and am worried about when the contracts come up for the wrestlers I really want to keep. Hawkins, Rocky, Bach and Chord are the big 4 money guys I'm looking to build the company around with some veterans like Vessey, RDJ and Peak also around. Taylor is gonna play quite a big role too so I don't really want to lose those guys. As long as I keep Hawkins and Chord though I should be good.</p><p> </p><p>

Debating quite a few things like how long to keep the titles on the Behemoths and on Speed (who is improving the title prestige but isn't really getting over too well I don't think).</p><p> </p><p>

One other thing that keeps bugging me is the damn announcers. The back up announcers keep complaining no matter how much I try and appease them beyond actually making them the show announcers (which I don't want to do because they aren't as good). Is there a way to appease them without doing that at all?</p>

<p>I can't figure out why TCW passed on hiring Seth Whitehead when he graduated their dojo. They've kept on Jeremie Courtney and hired Titan of all people. Whitehead fits their product better than either of those two, I think.</p><p> </p><p>

Oh well, he makes a good pickup for regional promotions, alongside Gidayu Katou.</p>
