After reading up on Anderz diary, I was inspired to fire up a PGHW game and have been very pleased with the results. Such a great promotion!

What's everyone's thoughts on the Figurehead position? I don't have Yoshi or Koiso in Time Decline...but they are 40 and 39 respectively. With this product I don't expect they will stay off that list for much longer.

My top choices would be Kozue or Ugaki but neither one are very strong babyfaces. Luckily Yoshi is giving Ugaki some tips in my save, but that's still only brought him up to a "65" babyface.

I'm leaning toward have PRIDE win the Elite Series after his return and ultimately dethroning Yoshi for the title and crowning him as Figurehead but also wondering if I should wait a year or so and see if Ugaki or Kozue become stronger babyfaces...

<p>I'd say that off the bat Yoshimi and Kozue are best placed. I've not got a figurehead assigned so far though.</p><p> </p><p>

The only drawback with Yoshimi is his age really, he's not on my time decline list but it's only a matter a time before he is - I imagine he will be surpassed soon and that will make him a weaker figurehead.</p><p> </p><p>

But until that time, I don't think anyone else stands out as a certainty. As I said, Kozue has all the tools but I think Yoshimi is still too strong so overshadows him.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

That being said, I'm not sure you need to have a figurehead. That's where I settled anyway. No candidate was an absolute 100% best in all areas so I've not taken the plunge yet.</p>

I decided to pull the trigger on PRIDE for Figurehead. After winning the Elite Series he will go on to take the Glory Crown from Yoshi at Night of Fortitude to end the tour. Having never named or changed a figurehead before, I didn't realize that it takes a year to establish. Here's hoping the Koiso holds up, stays injury free and out of decline for a year plus.

<p>Never played as a Japanese company but I'm commenting here to say that in my American National company, I purchased a bankrupt Saisho, and within a few months I purchased a bankrupt PGHW. </p><p> </p><p>

I chose Jack Bruce and started ICE with a storyline reason. He wanted to turn heel and put over some younger stars, but Richard Eisen refused, so Bruce asked for his release or he'd sit out. Him leaving freed up a lot of cap room for SWF and allowed Bruce to start his own company which would go on to be the Number 1 company in the world within three years. His "real life" gimmick is making sure wrestling continues to have a place. So I've purchased MAW, Saisho, PGHW, CWWF (even though I don't have women's wrestling), GSW, and Pro Wrestling Max. Established each of them with weekly shows for 1:30. And all of them have boomed. I signed the ones that I wanted to Developmental contracts and the rest kept their jobs as is. Sent several of my veteran workers to these places as trainers and when someone graduates, I bring them to my own developmental company who are HUGE. After a little while there, I bring them to one of my brands.</p><p> </p><p>

As soon as the cool down for dropping to cult ends from back when I wasn't ready, I will rise straight to International and be able to hire all those wrestlers to development contracts. So my question for you guys is, in the beginning of 2019, who is worth bringing in to my main roster right off the jump? Cause I'm sure that most of them won't sign Dev deals.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm a risky sports entertainment international company with 90 pop in USA, Canada, and Mexico. 70 pop in UK and Europe, and 20 pop in Japan. Reverie just got Japan on to their coverage so I'm getting that exposure and need stars from Japan to appeal to that market. For now I have KC Glenn who spent some time over there. I'm pop=performance.</p>

Just fired up a PGHW 2005 game as I wanted to play the with the PGHW greats that I have read about, as well as make them internationally known. The problem I am having is that when I try to run a weekly event (I have a touring highlight deal) it only gives me the option to sign it to a PPV deal. How do I have an event that is not shown on my PPV deal?

It should automatically show on whatever broadcaster you signed with, so if you did a touring highlight deal with Japanese Sport Vision 2, it will automatically show your events as tors if you haven't chosen to have it seen as a ppv. So when you go the booking screen and the broadcasting box says pick a broadcaster, you don't pick one and it will automatically show on. I think that is how it works at the very least, maybe not....</p>

I was wondering how you guys book shows. For some reason I can never get B+ matches or events for that matter. Is there anything I should tweak product wise and is there any way I should book certain cards like longer main events or any other agent notes

For main eventer vs. main eventer you should be doing better than that with 20 min+ matches. B+ for a main eventer versus a midcarder is cool though. I feel like slow build note gets a better grade than not having one at all but they need ok psychology.

I don't like how the Cornellverse has its title histories. I understand why they do it, and that is to save time, but it is no realistic enough for me. The companies are around for 20-30 years and you end up with every single champion having at least a 4 month title reign, and probably 1 3 month title reign in the span of 20-30 years. That is not realistic at all. I understand that some companies will have long title reigns in the company but for 20-30 years and have it be guaranteed that each champion will win their first 4 title defenses is not realistic.

When I run a wrestling company the championships are beyond important. When someone wins a championship and holds it for a long time it is just as important as when a sports team wins a championship of their own. That is important I wish championships were in wrestling. My companies always have that.

So because I didn't like the Cornellverse PGHW title history I decided to create my own. I'm going to post it in this thread in case anyone wants to add it to their PGHW game.

These title reigns where based off of real life for realism. The length of reigns, the amount of title changes, the amount of guys to win the title etc were all based off of real life for the most realistic title history.

Few things to note:

1. Non-touring Months

1996-2001: February, August

2002-: February, June, October

2. TV deal for weekly show started on Wednesday and then later went to Thursday.

3. When the company is touring they run a "minor event" the 3rd to last Saturday of the month followed by another "minor event" the 2nd to last Saturday of the month followed by the main, big show the last Saturday of the month.

4. The only titles that ever existed were the PGHW Glory Crown, PGHW Glory Tag, PGHW Histoical Japan.

5. The only tournaments that ever existed were the PGHW Elite and PGHW Elite Tag.

6. The PGHW Elite Tag is also for the PGHW Glory Tag Crown, and the PGHW Elite is also for the PGHW Glory Crown.

7. Just like TEW there are no records for "vacant". If a title has to be vacant then you will see a gap in dates between when a champion loses a belt and when someone wins a belt. I would rather list the word vacant but TEW doesn't record it in their title history if you are to a vacant a title so I decided to not do it in mine.

8. There are a lot of times when a title becomes vacant. PGHW is known for its injury history more so then any other company especially between 2007-2009.

9. The alumni section for PGHW is severely lacking. It was impossible to create these title histories with the current alumni section as there was not enough people to hold the title. There are a few times when I added guys to the title history that didn't wrestler for PGHW at the time or guys that aren't in the Cornellverse. I didn't have a choice in order to do these title histories.

10. Sorry about the tab problems with the title histories. I copied and pasted them from MS Word and they got kind of mixed up.

I also don't like the end of the year awards lol I'm picky. I feel like there is too much parody in them and I don't feel they are realistic enough so I redid them too. This is especially true for the tag team of the year awards. I only did a few of the awards though and left the rest blank.

I wanted to make this a separate post so it didn't get lost in my last post. Every time I have a big match for PGHW the rating gets killed because the commentary wasn't good enough. I hired the best commentators in the game. Has anyone found a fix around this problem? I'm surprised this hasn't come up yet.

<p>Hey everyone, so I just started a new game with PGHW. I got the itch to play with them after watching wrestle kingdom 11. I must say this is probably the most fun I've had playing this years TEW. I just finished up the month of March with the Elite Series Tournament coming to an end. My final 4 were Mushashibo, Ugaki, Garner and Kawashima. I had Kozue go over Mushashibo in the finals to win the Elite Series but didn't have the Glory Crown title on the line. I will eventually have Mushashibo drop the title to Kozue but he's putting on such good main event matches I wasn't really ready to pull the trigger yet.</p><p> </p><p>

I had a 16 man tourney for the Elite Series. I had mainly PGHW roster guys in it but I brought in Duane Stone and Bryan Vessey due to my working agreement with NOTBPW and TCW. Right now I'm putting on better shows then BHOTWG consistently. I just wanted some input from you guys because I'm almost positive you are better at running PGHW then I am. I'm going to eventually put some stables together but I'm not positive when I'm going to start that. I was wondering if there is anyway I can sign people that have loyalty to another company. I assume not cause I've tried with no luck. BHOTWG have let some guys go recently but they are mostly the juicing burning division guys which doesn't really fit PGHWs style so I just let them go to WLW if they sign anywhere. </p><p> </p><p>

I was also wondering how you set up a tour highlight show. Do you basically just run events and that is the tour highlight or can I simply just run the Kings Road TV show and that will be a part of the highlight show. Any suggestions on signings I should make would be greatly appreciated. I've only signed a few guys from the US cause I mainly wanted workers from Japan in the promotion. Would love to see any ideas from you guys if you have any. Thanks</p>

Plus the American indies has ton of great workers that just need exposure in Japan to grab.</p><p> </p><p> The Tv Highlights system doesn't work like it did in Tew 2013 unfortunately, so TV shows are kinda similar to American style where they are not highlights, but a entire show shown on Tv, so I usually run 2 tour shows a week plus TV to have 3 shows to build up for the PPV, etc. </p><p> </p><p> I recommend Greg Gauge, Rhino Umaga/Samoan Machine, The Ring Generals, Nigel Svensson, Those are the ones I usually sign for every PGHW game as they become stars down the line.</p>

I just started a new PGHW save file and I was wondering what everyone does with PGHW when the Tsunami hits. I'm not sure if I should trim the roster down to the minimum or just keep doing what I'm doing. As of right now I have two TV shows with a brand split roster that isn't split in the game because I didn't want to have such a big roster. I don't run tours anymore I just run the two tv shows a week and a PPV at the end of the month because show costs are becoming too much.

Ride it out. That's all you can do.

<p>How do you run a profit in PGHW? </p><p> </p><p>

I have only played the first month and I am losing money hand over fist. I was running two touring shows a week plus the TV show but I quickly realized that was not going to work as my roster was getting too banged up. Therefore, after the PPV ran I stopped doing the weekly touring shows and just ran TV for two weeks. </p><p> </p><p>

I am only two wrestlers over the required limit, so cutting costs that way is probably not going to work (I lost a little over three hundred thousand in the first month). So I am at a loss as to what I can do to make this a profitable company.</p>

I have never had too much of an issue turning a profit. What helps is rotating who is in each of the touring shows, a lot of 3v3, 4v4, etc. Also to cut costs see who is on PPA or touring and use them minimal throughout the month. If I am not mistaken the starting PPV carrier is not the greatest and you can usually cancel that deal and get a better deal with a better provider. If memory serves me correct (I don't have the game in front of me) you can sign with the HUGE PPV provider, and I have never had any problems meeting their late night rating requirement.

Prior to TEW16 I only tired the Japanese scene a couple of times and then I would give up and go back to America. Therefore, I really have very little knowledge on how to play as a Japanese company (especially a touring company).</p>
