PSW Weekly starts with Sting having an elite group of wrestlers in the ring. National champion Chris Jericho is there with his three challengers at Lethal – Adam Copeland, Jeff Jarrett and Lance Storm. Sting says after last week's chaos, tonight there will be a four way tag team main event where the four of you will choose a partner each and face each other. Sting, like last week, says he expects it to be “interesting”. 75

The Colons v Life of Brians

Eddie Colon makes his PSW debut. In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Colons defeated Life of Brians in 6:50 when Eddie Colon defeated Johnson Brian by pinfall with an Outward Rolling Cutter. 46

Eddie Colon debuted his Second Generation gimmick, rated 56.

Carly Colon was really off his game.

The Colons don't work well as a team, their timing is all over the place.

Carly Colon is improving in technical skills.

Life of Brians have lost their last five matches.

Adam Copeland is backstage, saying he has found his partner and formed the Canadian dream team. With him stands Chris Benoit. 68

GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION

Austin Aries (1-0-2) v Yoshihiro Tajiri (2-0-1)

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Yoshihiro Tajiri defeated Austin Aries in 8:57 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. 55

The two didn't click which led to an awkward bout.

Lance Storm is backstage. He is as stoic as ever, though he recalls the days of ECW and says he has found a partner who was the star of ECW and Mr Monday Night… the one and only Rob Van Dam. RVD is all smiles as he does his trademark thumb pointing and waving motion at his head. 53

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/GenericTV01_zps79d95516.jpg

PSW TV TITLE

Matt Sydal (champion) v Amazing Red

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Matt Sydal defeated Amazing Red in 8:38 by pinfall. Matt Sydal makes defence number 2 of his PSW TV Title title. 65

The two have great chemistry and it showed in their performances.

This was Amazing Red's fifth straight loss.

Jeff Jarrett is backstage. He says that country music and punk do not normally go together, but tonight they will form a great team. CM Punk looks at Jarrett wondering what the hell he is on about and asks if Jarrett has been on the whisky. 67

GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION

Colt Cabana (3-0-0) v Rocky Romero

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Colt Cabana defeated Rocky Romero in 10:33 by pinfall with a Colt 45. 63

Rocky Romero was off his game tonight.

Colt Cabana has won his sixth straight match.

Chris Jericho is backstage with AJ Styles. Jericho and AJ have a lot of respect for each and the champion says it is time for Y2AJ to roll again. 74

Jericho looked good.

Chris Jericho (National champion) & AJ Styles v Adam Copeland & Chris Benoit v Jeff Jarrett & CM Punk v Lance Storm & Rob Van Dam

This was chaos from the word go with referee Wes Adams having no control from as soon as he rang the bell. That prompted Sting to appear. He said he was happy with this, this is “interesting”. The main event is now no disqualification.

This led the match to basically be an eight man brawl. The teams worked well together with the match effectively becoming tornado tag. The end came in 19:14 when Jericho beat Lance Storm with a Lion Tamer. 87 – match of the night

Adam Copeland is improving in technical skills.

Before PSW Weekly go off the air, we see Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith in the desert. Both are clearly struggling and suffering. The show ends with a different off road vehicle seen from last week approaching the pair, who manage a feeble wave to ask for help. 61

Show rating: B 78

PSW increased popularity in six regions

Attendance: 6,920 (sell out)

TV rating: 0.51 (up 0.03)

Profit: $56,080

Broadcast on psw.com

Announces: Potter & Dusty Rhodes

WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND

Linda Miles v Rebecca Knox

Lethal starts with PSW's first ever women's match on a main show. Stuart Ball must be pleased, wherever he is right now. Linda Miles seriously underperformed in this contest but the two time former WWE Women's champion still came out with the win in 7:31 by pinfall. 46

Linda Miles debuted her Equality Fighter gimmick, rated 74.

Rebecca Knox debuted her Diva gimmick, rathed 51.

Lance Storm speaks from backstage, stoic as ever. In his monotone he says he will become a two time National champion tonight. 49

LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 1

AJ Styles & CM Punk v Roderick Strong & Kevin Steen (Youth champion)[/b]

The first of five randomly drawn tag team matches to determine who competes in the Lethal battle royal later tonight. This first match features three quarters of the former stable New Wave, the only three members of the former group in Lethal. Even with their chequered history, Styles and Punk proved too strong than their opponents and showed better team work, qualifying in 11:18 when CM Punk defeated Roderick Strong by submission with an Arm Triangle Choke. 82

Roderick Strong is improving in rumble skills.

It is Jeff Jarrett's turn to speak from the backstage interview area. He says he has been a champion everywhere he has been and it is time he was champion in PSW. 69

LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 2

Chris Benoit & Brian Kendrick v Colt Cabana & Low Ki

The second qualifying match brought about a couple of unlikely pairings. The match was tight but in the end it was the class of Chris Benoit that shone through with him picking up the win in 10:57, defeating Low Ki by pinfall with a Dragon Suplex. 67

Low Ki has switched to a Warrior gimmick, rated 77.

Adam Copeland now speaks from backstage. He says he will kick ass tonight and nobody will stop him from winning the title. He then poses for five seconds with an imaginary championship belt. 72

LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 3

Eiji Ezaki & Matt Sydal (TV champion) v Caprice Coleman & Keiji Sakoda

Former tag team champions were drawn together though the split between Ezaki and Sydal was bitter when Ezaki kidnapped Sydal. That was either forgotten or cast aside as they teamed well, a complete contrast to Coleman and Sakoda who were terrible as a team. A comfortable win came in 10:20 when Eiji Ezaki defeated Keiji Sakoda by pinfall with a Phoenix Splash. 64

Chris Jericho is backstage. He says he is the greatest in the world and Lance Storm, Jeff Jarrett and Adam Copeland may as well go home now, as all they will be leaving with later is pain and sorrow. 82

Chris Jericho improvised well.

LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 4

Daniel Lyon & Chris Hero v Davey Richards & Iven Michaud

Perhaps the biggest mismatch as Richards was drawn with the young Michaud against two seasoned pros. The victors were expected and the match ended in 7:23 when Chris Hero defeated Davey Richards by pinfall with a Heros Welcome. 57

Iven Michaud is improving in rumble skills.

LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 5

Rocky Romero & Rob Van Dam v Christopher Daniels & Randy Orton

The final qualifying match saw Rob Van Dam drawn against Randy Orton, meaning at least one big name was being eliminated. This turned out to be Rob Van Dam in 11:38 when Randy Orton defeated Rocky Romero by pinfall with an O-Zone. 70

GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

Aaron Stevens (1-0-2) v Carly Colon (0-0-3)

Carly Colon is struggling of late. He hasn't looked happy in the ring and even a tag team outing with brother Eddie failed to gather much interest from him. Aaron Stevens made the most of Colon's mental state by chalking up a second win of the season in 13:02 by pinfall. 67

Carly Colon has lost his last seven matches.

LETHAL BATTLE ROYAL

AJ Styles, CM Punk, Chris Benoit, Brian Kendrick, Eiji Ezaki, Matt Sydal (TV champion), Daniel Lyon, Chris Hero, Christopher Daniels and Randy Orton

Ten men enter with one prize – a National Championship match at PSW's annual birthday celebration Anniversary Show.

Brian Kendrick was an early elimination as Daniel Lyon drop kicked him off the top rope.

Surprisingly AJ Styles was next to go as CM Punk hauled him over the top rope, only an hour or so after qualifying with him for this match. AJ wasn't happy.

Third out was Christopher Daniels, eliminated by a stiff Chris Benoit headbutt that propelled him over the top rope.

Next was Matt Sydal, Eiji Ezaki getting rid of his former partner by backdropping him over the top as Sydal charged at him.

Daniel Lyon followed him to the shows when Randy Orton hit an O Zone, then threw him out.

Sixth to go was Chris Hero. Ezaki got rid of him too, with help from CM Punk by out powering him up and out of the ring.

This left Chris Benoit, CM Punk, Eiji Ezaki and Randy Orton. Punk went next, eliminated by Chris Benoit followed quickly by Randy Orton who was thrown out by Ezaki.

Benoit and Ezaki grappled for a couple of minutes. Benoit was getting on top and had Ezaki literally on the ropes. The veteran then made a rookie mistake, charging at Ezaki who eliminated him in a carbon copy of how he got rid of Sydal earlier. Eiji Ezaki wins the Lethal Battle Royal in 15:08 and will face the National champion at Anniversary Show VIII. 79

Randy Orton is improving in flying skills.

PSW NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Chris Jericho (champion) v Adam Copeland v Jeff Jarrett v Lance Storm

Some great action and a good crowd that saw a typical style of four way match. Lots of near falls, some which were broken up and periods when one or two wrestlers were laid out on the arena floor.

Copeland, Jarrett and Lance all came within a whisker of winning the National Championship but it was the champion who managed to retain in 33:23 when Chris Jericho defeated Lance Storm by submission with a Lion Tamer.
