PSW SALVATON

Monday, week 3, December 2011

Broadcast on Tuesday, week 2, December 2011 on Spike TV

Island Grove Events Center, Greeley, Colorado (5,000 capacity)

http://greeleygov.com/images/default-source/cprd-images/parks-images/island-grove-events-center.tmb-medium.png

We see a podium set up in the entrance and pyro goes off around it to start the show. Out walks our General Manager Raven, dressed in his black ‘suit’ and boots. He then calls out the Feast or Fired briefcase winners from Christmas Feast last night and out walks Randy Orton, Stu Sanders, Ice and the ever laid back Rob Van Dam. Orton in particular appears keen to see what is in his briefcase.

Raven calls each wrestler to the podium in numerical order, so first to step up is Ice. A wrestler very much at the lower end of the pecking order, he is eager to see if he can virtually guarantee his first PSW title when he clicks open the briefcase…

ICE IS FIRED!

The relief on the other three is clear to see as Ice is wished well in his future endeavours by Raven as he leaves. The tension has been lifted from the entrance as Stu Sanders steps up next, a former TV champion who won that title thanks to Feast or Fired last year. Click…

STU SANDERS HAS A WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH.

Sanders is happy with that and it looks nailed on that Shock & Awe are going to be champions in the not too distant future. We have two former World champions left and Randy Orton is up next, eager to get on with it and confident he has a ticket back to holding the World Championship. The briefcase is laid down and the latches opened…

RANDY ORTON HAS A TV TITLE MATCH

Orton isn’t happy. He doesn’t have the World Championship match, a delighted Rob Van Dam does instead, who goes through the formality to show he does indeed have that case…

ROB VAN DAM HAS A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH.

A happy RVD leaves, followed by a fuming Orton. 36

Stu Sanders is improving in performance skills.

Londrick v Spanish Announce Team

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Londrick defeated Spanish Announce Team in 9:21 when Paul London defeated Joel Maximo by pinfall with a London Calling. 55

Paul London was off his game.

Joel Maximo is improving in performance skills.

Jose Maximo is improving in rumble skills.

http://i.imgur.com/yjx5RFn.jpg

Chris Jericho is in a trashed hotel room, with last night appearing on the bottom left corner of the screen as a caption. He is furious at Salvation – furious at John Cena, furious at T. J. Perkins, furious at Super Dragon, furious at “the new stinking pile of crap” Daniel Puder and mostly furious at our ‘General Manager’ Raven for denying him the World Championship earlier tonight and denying him his Salvation. Jericho said he was prepared to win the title back by any means necessary, but Raven clearly had other plans. He also questions what role Keiji Sakoda had, if any, in Raven’s plan. 74

PSW TV TITLE

Alex Wright (champion) v Stu Sanders

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Alex Wright defeated Stu Sanders in 11:06 by submission with a STF. Alex Wright makes defence number 5 of his PSW TV Title. 53

Alex Wright has won his last 6 matches.

http://i.imgur.com/tdjGkME.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/w6NFo49.jpg

In a lush restaurant near the arena, Adam Sandler is wining and dining his new fiancee Amazing Kong. Sandler tells Kong she can choose whatever she wants, so she does, choosing three starters, five mains and three desserts while Sandler chooses a soup and a salad. After a little while, some bubbly appears. Sandler fills his glass while Kong takes the rest of the bottle. They toast to their engagement before Sandler takes a sip from his glass while Kong downs the bottle and then lets out a loud burp. Sandler simply laughs and Salvation goes to a commerical for Dom Perignon. 72

Adam Sandler looked good.

Amazing Kong under performed.

GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION

Mike Quackenbush (1-0-0) v Rocky Romero (0-0-1)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Mike Quackenbush defeated Rocky Romero in 10:21 by pinfall with a Quackendriver. 47

Quackenbush and Romero don’t click and the match looked awkward.

In The Outlaws’ safehouse, a worried looking Eddie Guerrero is addressing his Outlaws. Amazing Red, Cade Thesz, Christopher Daniels and Roderick Strong are all attentive as Guerrero says he is becoming wary of the threat posed by Salvation. He says not only is Raven now the General Manager of PSW, he has also added Super Dragon and Daniel Puder to the group. Guerrero says they have to go back to basics, back to the old way of doing things, and maybe bolster their numbers too…

GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION

Caprice Coleman (1-0-0) v ‘The Outlaw’ Roderick Strong (0-0-1, with Eddie Guerrero)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Roderick Strong defeated Caprice Coleman in 10:51 by pinfall with a CX 02. 58

Roderick Strong is improving in rumble skills.

Roderick Strong’s losing streak ends at 6.

A black ‘suit’ cladded Raven strides to the ring, saying he has an announcement for PSW’s next big show, Battle for Survival. He says he has decided that Great Sasuke is going to challenge Keiji Sakoda for the World Championship, Havana Pitbulls will challenge Chicago’s Finest for the World Tag Team Championship, Beth Phoenix will challenge Joanie Laurer for the Women’s Championship and Jacob Crane will challenge Marty Scurll for the Youth Championship.

He also announces that the top eight ranked wrestlers will compete in the Ultimate Battle for Survival and the Women’s Ultimate Battle for Survival, where the survivors challenge for the title at Lethal while for the first time there will also be a Tag Team Ultimate Battle for Survival. The crowd like this.

We are in the basement of the building where we see Raven alone, dressed in his Raven style black ‘suit’. Randy Orton approaches Raven, carrying his Feast or Fired briefcase. Raven seems pleased to see him, and asks Orton if he is seeking his Salvation. Orton says not exactly, but he has this case and he sees no point in hanging on to it. Orton hands the case to Raven and tells him he wants his TV Title match at Battle for Survival. Raven says if that’s what Randy Orton wants to do with the case, it’s what he gets. Orton versus the TV champion is set for January’s pay per view. 46

In a pre recorded segment, we see Adam Sandler and Amazing Kong looking at cakes for their forthcoming wedding. Kong takes great delight in sampling every single one, and a big sample at that, while Sandler has just a tiny amount of each. The loved up couple plump for a four layer wedding cake design, something Kong seems only to pleased with. The sales lady warns Adam Sandler this is a very expensive cake, only for Sandler to retort “don’t you know who I am?”. The atmosphere between the seller and the engaged couple goes a little sour, though Sandler and Kong still buy the cake. 74

Adam Sandler looked good.

Amazing Kong performed poorly.

Amazing Kong needs something to freshen her character up.

Backstage and we see the World Tag Team champions Chicago Finest talk about their title defence at Battle for Survival 6 against Havana Pitbulls. They say the Pitbulls will be tough opponents but they will win and keep their titles. Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes interrupt CM Punk and Colt Cabana and agree that they are tough… but tell the champions they will take their belts in two weeks time. 45

In his ‘office’ in the basement of the Carlson Center we see PSW’s General Manager Raven flanked by his Salvation members. He warns Chris Jericho that taking on Salvation will be a huge mistake, and the only man in PSW that can offer people salvation is him… and Jericho turned him down.

’The Greatest Champion’ Chris Jericho v ‘The Follower’ Super Dragon (with Raven)

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Chris Jericho defeated Super Dragon in 11:51 by submission with a Lion Tamer. 68

Raven did good work at ringside.

Following commercial we have a table and two chairs set up in the ring, ready for a good old contract signing. Surprisingly, Adam Sandler walks out, saying that Raven has asked me to oversee proceedings as Raven is busy. He calls out the challenger at Battle for Survival 6, Great Sasuke and the PSW World champion Keiji Sakoda. Both oblige.

Sakoda lays down the World Championship belt across the middle of the table as both he and Sasuke take a seat. They both sign the contract for the championship match at the pay per view in two weeks time. There is no table flipping or chair tossing going on here, just a lot of respect between two men who have earned it. Sasuke makes a gesture to suggest the title is going to be his, which Sakoda doesn’t like so he quickly picks his belt up and holds it aloft right in front of Sasuke. Tensions are beginning to rise as we go to another commercial. 67

Adam Sandler was the real star of the segment.

Great Sasuke under performed.
