Maybe I'm the only one, but for how much I'm looking forward to the Rockverse, I think the AWO is silly as is the idea of them having a dojo. I don't think it's a viable promotion, and I don't think it's one anyone would seriously consider creating in real life. So to see it in a game just makes me kind of roll my eyes. And I'm all for colorful and comedic wrestling, but the AWO just doesn't even feel to me like it'd even have a remote chance of ever being an actual thing, and that just breaks my immersion with the game world being created.

Again, that's just my opinion. And it looks like I might be in the vast majority. I'm sure I can just delete the promotion entirely in my game and hopefully the workers are being put in the database as "Steve Jackson" or whatever with a character of "Zeus" so that I can at least reuse the workers without having a bunch of Greek gods floating around.

There is literally a real life promotion where people dress up in foam rubber and pretend to be giant monsters.

So people being mythical gods and legends is eye roll inducing and would never be a real promotion but Lucha Underground and Chikara are deeply rooted in reality? I'm not sure what makes you think you're in the vast majority since everyone seems to actually be in love with the promotion from what I've gathered. Anyway in a world with Chikara who has a swamp monster (among other things) wrestling for them and Lucha Underground who has a teleporting, demonic princess of some sorts. Even the Undertaker teleports and Bray Wyatt shoots lightning from his fingers but people pretending to be Greek Gods is somehow eye roll inducing when it comes to pro wrestling? Haha

Great suggestions, consider it done!

No worries, feel free to delete. This is a fictional mod so I wanted to create a few off the wall promotions, there are plenty of regular wrestling promotions in the game so by all means, roll with those. The workers are posted in the thread under their alter ego names as some of them will probably get more popular and scooped up by other companies they are listed under their real names so you can go in and delete the alter egos.

While I agree with you guys, I figured AWO wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea, but as mentioned, if someone has never watched a Chikara show then they have no idea about just how ridiculous wrestling can be. I remember when 2 ice cream cones were the tag team champions. Also, I'm pretty sure in DDT that both a chicken and a ladder have both held championships at one time or another.

Oh man, I was reading and replying to comments and completely forgot why I came here. Here is my piss poor attempt at title belts for AWO. I don't have a belt make anymore and personally I think I am terrible at making belts but these are a little better then some of my previous attempts. Thanks to Fullmetal for the straps.

The belts have been added to the original post on AWO as well.

Hustle, Chikara, Lucha and DDT are about the Rushmore of "unique" wrestling promotions but there are many others out there. WOW, GLOW, Wrestlelicious there are promotions where people dress up as Ninja Turtles. The list goes on.

As long as AWO trainee gimmicks are getting thrown out, I'm just going to note I'd find it hilarious if one guy doesn't get the theme and shows up as Ra or something.

It doesn't fit at all but he's so into the character nobody has the heart to correct him.

RIP Amasis

We live in a world where two of the best wrestlers in the world Omega & Okada are having magnificent matches but have also wrestled against a blow-up doll and where Omega lost a match to a pre-teen girl!

CHIKARA is well known to most hard core fans as is Lucha Underground and neither of them even pretends to be grounded in reality.

Sure a Greek God Promotion is a little one note but then again so is a heck of a lot of other wrestling.

As for the AWO how good would an invasion from the Norse Gods be ;) - it would leave the NWO angle in the shade :p

So I've been so bus with the downloading crap for the new laptop that I forgot to post a new Meet The Rockverse. That's right folks, it's that time again!

Meet The Rockverse Volume 6

The Willrock is sleepy and doesn't feel like putting stupid memes in the post edition!!! (Also can be titled - There are absolutely no Greek Mythological figures in this post edition)...

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r496/aaronredwulfstudioswillr0ck/Rock-verse/Petey%20Rampage.jpg

Petey Rampage

Straight out of the Bronx, "The Source of Pain" Petey Rampage, is a former amateur wrestling standout that switched to MMA after failing to make the American Olympic team. With a chip on his shoulder, he found tremendous success as a fighter and won several championships in the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. After several years fighting with a professional record of 18-2, he suffered a devastating back injury that ended his fighting career.

Prior to becoming a professional wrestler "The Source of Pain" would often denounce professional wrestling for being "fake" and illegitimate compared to amateur wrestling and MMA. So, his signing with NHEW was certainly a surprise when it initially happened. However, after a persuasive late-night conversation with Douglas Dastardly, Rampage was convinced of the potential benefits of the industry and the genuine athleticism that is required.

After initially entering the NHEW locker-room with tremendous heat, he won over his critics by taking to the profession so naturally and using his natural charisma to cut great promos. While he lacks ring psychology and is very green on that front, his technical ability and menace are tremendous which could see him go far despite entering the business slightly late.

Pros: Great in-ring worker with outstanding menace

Cons: Awful on the mic at this point, put him with a manager who is a great talker.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r496/aaronredwulfstudioswillr0ck/Rock-verse/Jimmy%20Munson.jpg

Jimmy Munson

Munson is a former journeyman worker that is based in the Tri-State area. On occasion he was featured on GEW and AACW television in quick squashes, but prior to NHEW he never achieved much in terms of success.

When Douglas Dastardly re-branded All Star Wrestling, he wanted to inject the company with fresh ideas. So, rather than looking for any of the obvious and more experienced wrestling bookers, he approached the humble Jimmy Munson based on his reputation within the area as a competent worker with a flair for hardcore work and a strong booking acumen. Dastardly gave Munson the ball to run with and soon after NHEW gathered momentum; becoming a cult favorite amongst other wrestling promotions in the local area.

This new found success inspired Munson to improve his own work; creating the psychopathic "Crazy" Munson character which has seen him win the World Extreme Championship on several occasions in extremely violent matches with Murder-1 and brawls with Petey Rampage, which are adored by the core NHEW audience. Although his ideas are niche, he is clearly a talented booker.

Pros: Huge fan favorite that can main event any show. Good talker and locker room leader.

Cons: Not a great in-ring worker, mainly suited for hardcore bouts.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r496/aaronredwulfstudioswillr0ck/Rock-verse/Chris%20Millenium.jpg

Chris Millenium

(Yes, I know Millenium is spelled wrong, that was intentional

“The Five Star Superstar” Chris Millenium is a well-traveled veteran who got his start wrestling across the far reaches of the globe. The result is a hybrid style that caught the eye of GEW brass, signing Millenium to a huge contract in 2004. Dubbed “The Five Star Superstar,” alluding to his penchant for five star matches, Millenium flourished as a crass, obnoxious heel with plenty of memorable catchphrases.

Aided by the Five Star Finish leaping cutter and Millenium Final crossface, he has held the Global title on five occasions. Millenium is a well-versed performer, excelling as both a heel and face throughout the years.

His most recent title win came through a heel turn due to interference from Mason Wilkins and Colton Riddle. The trio formed the mega-stable, Savage, Hardcore and Insane, Terror, otherwise known as S.H.I.T. The stable has been a huge success, and is one of GEW’s focal points. Millenium has used the group to protect his Global title at all costs.

Pros: Millenium is a fantastic performer on the mic and in the ring, truly one of the all time greats.

Cons: Millenium is getting older, and rumors have persisted for years that the Five Star Superstar’s physique is a result of chemical enhancement.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r496/aaronredwulfstudioswillr0ck/Rock-verse/Mason%20Wilkins.jpg

Mason Wilkins

A former amateur kickboxer, “The Natural Born Sinner” Mason Wilkins shook up the business when he debuted in GEW as “The Natural Born Sinner.” The edgy gimmick involved Wilkins encouraging the crowd to indulge in various vices just as he did.

His controversial segments came including one where Wilkins appeared to have smoked marijuana (later revealed to be basil) in the middle of the ring on national TV. This led to a suspension of Wilkins, and was the beginning of GEW’s transition from controversial content into hard-hitting action. When Wilkins returned, he toned down his behavior (for the camera only) and eventually joined Chris Millenium’s mega-stable, Savage, Hardcore and Insane, Terror, otherwise known as S.H.I.T.

The stable has been a huge success, and is one of the promotion’s focal points.

Pros: Wilkins is imposing, legitimately tough, and is a very good in-ring worker and promo.

Cons: Wilkins is a problem child backstage, his mean-spirited ribs and excessive partying.

http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r496/aaronredwulfstudioswillr0ck/Rock-verse/Colton%20Riddle.jpg

Colton Riddle

“Mr. Controversy” Colton Riddle came up as an old school heel through AACW. Then known as “Classic” Colton Riddle, he became a reliable hand (despite his portly frame) due to his great psychology, amazing selling, and hilarious in-ring banter. Yet Riddle was bitter over his lack of a push and low wages.

Riddle ended up walking out of the company before their biggest show, and debuted on GEW TV by cutting a scathing shoot promo on the wrestling business. Rebranding himself as “Mr. Controversy,” Riddle became the on-screen (and backstage) protégée of Chris Millenium.

This gave Riddle quite the rub and established him as an impact player. Riddle soon became a part of mega-stable, Savage, Hardcore and Insane, Terror, otherwise known as S.H.I.T. The stable has been a huge success, and is one of GEW’s focal points.

Pros: As mentioned, Riddle has great psychology, is great on the mic, and may be the best seller in the Rockverse.

Cons: Can be a bit egotistical at times, is not very flashy or athletic, and is prone to get out of shape.

It took some time for me to get the hang of it. Keep at it, practice makes perfect right? Once I kind of finally figured out the look I wanted it got incredibly easy for me. Still takes me way too long to make a belt though.

Beautiful!
