You have a good grasp in terms of plot and characters. What I think could probably use some work in the future is description.

Let's take this line for example:

Liam's arrival is not well received because of Roderick and his Gang. Dean sees this resentment and plans to dissuade this resentment.

So, Liam's arrival is not working out. That is a major plot point in your movie. What I think could have been done is that there could be some scenes showing how Roderick and his gang treat Liam, and eventually see Dean's response. That would build up an obstacle that Liam and his team need to overcome.

Here's another example:

Joe was way tensed when the next match began.

So in this scene, Joe is very tense for the game because of their losing streak. This can be shown by showing an example on how he feels.

Observe: Joe sits down on the bench, hands on his head; thinking long and hard about the next game. He pays no attention to the other teammates who are busy working out and doing their final practices. In a soft, but clearly aggravated whisper, he says to himself "If we lose this game, I swear to God..." He sighs in frustration and gets up.

In conclusion: When you describe something, it helps us plant a picture in our mind and to understand what's happening.

The first thing I though after posting my movie was "Dang! I could have done more with Liam".

I will surely take note of that. A sample of what I did previous August.

"We are live from Birmingham,Birmingham F.C are in an incredible form, they are at their career best of 10th position in the league table. They say it is a team effort but I think one of the reason of their success is the return of the prodigal son "Dean Harthwick".He has been phenomenal in this season.I think he will get a call-up soon.He changed his role of Deep Lying Playmaker to Box to Box Midfielder in the last season and he has been fantastic from the get-go.Let's move towards the current match.Birmingham is down by one goal, they now require two goals for winning this match and they have less than 20 minutes to do that.London F.C's striker have the ball now and he is ferociously moving towards Birmingham's goal post and a swift tackle form Harthwick,he wins the ball from the opposition,he passes it down to their central defender and a pass back to Harthwick,Harthwick moves ahead with the ball he just left two London F.C Mid-fielders with his wonderful dribbling. He moves towards London F.C goal post he now have the attention of all the defernders of London F.C and the defenders close by and mostly trapping Harthwick ANNNNDD a beautiful pass from Harthwick to their Striker and he shoots.....GOOOOAAALL!!!.A wonderful pass from Harthwick created a chance for Birmingham to equalise.

We have down to the last three minutes and the ball is with Birmingham's left mid-fielder he is moving forward with the ball, he is now on the left side of the Goal post, the clock is ticking, last minute of the gameplay and a cross from the mid-fielder towards the goal post and Dean Harthwick jumps and does a flip to execute a bicycle-kick and the ball has found the back of the net. WOW! what an amazing goal and the referee whistles to mark the end of the match. What a performance by Dean.

Birmingham F.C players are shown celebrating.

Dean moves towards his car in the parking lot after celebrating the victory with his team mates suddenly his phone vibrates and he takes out his phone and checks that he has a new e-mail.Dean gets very excited and calls Sarah.

Dean:Sarah, you won't believe what just happened.

Sarah:Yup,I saw your match that bicycle kick was amazing.

Dean:No not that,I going to don the Three Lions jersey I have been selected for England.I just got an e-mail from Football Association of England that they will formally announce the squad tomorrow.

Sarah:That is great. It calls for celebration.

Dean:Yes,it does,Will see you at home.

Dean gets in his car and starts driving.

It's raining we see Sarah running madly towards a neighbor's house.Sarah reaches the door and knocks madly. The door is opened by the Jones.

Carl:What happened Sarah?

Sarah(Crying):I...I... just got a call.... from City hospital.Dean has been involved in an accident.I need you to drive me their.

Eve:Don't worry.I will get the car keys.I am sure it is a minor accident.

Carl:Calm down Sarah, nothing will happen to Dean. What country are you from? It looks like you don't know how MLS operates and were falling back more on a British model because that's what you know. Which is perfectly fine from the perspective of this being fiction but would likely hurt the word of mouth you'd get from more knowledgeable fans.

The only pro sports team here with a board that would operate like a British team is the NFL's Green Bay Packers. Who are the nation's only publicly traded sports team. It's just not done here otherwise and I'm not 100% sure it even could be legally.

Also what is this Major Series your reference? It sounds like you intend it to either represent the MLS Playoffs (which don't have a fancy name) or the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. But the way your fictional season flows, it would be the wrong time of year for an MLS team to be qualifying for that tournament. MLS teams enter that mix in June. Which would be midseason by American scheduling. The drama side of your story looks really good. But if you're doing a sports movie, it helps to understand the landscape of the sport you're using as the backdrop. Hope the dice are kind to you but I could see this issue holding things back.

I am from India.

I researched about MLS in August last year. From what I remember the teams are divided in two leagues, East and West. The league toppers then play a series. I was not planning to write the whole story last night I just wanted to start but ended up writing the complete thing or I would have researched it again. Will remember that in the future.

Hope you like the movie.

@Flamesnoopy You would be Okay if I introduce a bunch of actors and actress from Bollywood for my next movie?

STANDING BACK (STUDIO: HOT FREEZY STUDIO)

Standing Back is the debut film by Hot Freezy Studio, a sports drama about a man, Dean Hartwick (played by John Krasinski), who suffers a career ending injury and has to cope with the after effects. The situation is especially hard for him considering he was literally on the top of his game, but slowly gets back into it after studying to become an assistant manager. His old buddy Joe Healy (played by Vinnie Jones) offers him a chance at employment, which Dean naturally accepts.

Sports movies very often follow a strict formula and likewise does Standing Back. The formulaic genre means that everything has to up to stratch to stand out, yet this one falls by the wayside. While John Krasinski does well as the lead, as the director he is abysmal. The film had more jumpcuts than a French New Wave classic, though who knows how many of them were actually intended. Every scene with Judi Dench in particular looks off, the two clearly had horrid chemistry. Bad efforts riddle some of the other minor roles as well, overall the cast performance is a shambles.

The inexperience shines through from all aspects, from the choppy writing to the jumpy directing to the poor cast performances, there is so much to improve upon Standing Back. Hot Freezy Studio is going to have their hands full with their second effort.

TALENT NOTES:

› John Krasinski and Judi Dench have Awful chemistry.

› John Krasinski was good as a lead, but not so much behind the camera. His Ability (Directing) has gone from 0.5 to 0.1

› Matt Smith underperformed. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 0.5 to 0.3

› Ki Hong Lee dragged the movie down with his terrible performance. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 0.5 to 0.3

› Brandon Mychal Smith performed almost as bad as Ki Hong Lee. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 0.5 to 0.3

› Ryan Guzman was weak. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 0.5 to 0.4

http://i.cubeupload.com/1Fh1Hj.png

BARS (STUDIO: THE VIPER'S DEN)

The Viper's Den are back yet again, this time with a goofy comedy titled Bars. The Seth MacFarlane directed picture sees Herman Seeley (played by Adam Sandler) mistaken for a domestic terrorist. He is then locked up into a maximum security prison where he has to fit in with all the misfits he thought he never resembled. What follows is at times completely bizarre and unrealistic action, with some things in the movie happening for no apparent reason. The writing sort of creates a beast and every plot twist feeds it. The beast becomes too hard to control in the end, leading into a fabricated ending where all of the viewer's emotional investment is shattered (as with any dream/hallucination/'rewrite' ending or sequence).

Adam Sandler heads the cast with a horrible performance, he was completely unmotivated and overacted in pretty much every scene. The best part of his performance was being in an arm bar by Miranda Cosgrove, but that simply had nothing to do with Sandler! Jonathan Good did well, but the best performance was from Seth MacFarlane himself in a mere minor role. Unfortunately, Jonathan Good and Gordon Ramsay had chemistry problems, they were really awkward together.

Bars is not all bad. In fact, the beginning is pretty good, but the ending leaves one disappointed at a missed opportunity that The Viper's Den should perhaps have capitalized on more.

THE VIPER'S DEN made a profit of $2.4M, your total balance now stands at $20.6M.

TALENT NOTES:

› Jonathan Good and Gordon Ramsay have Awful chemistry.

› Adam Sandler was horrible. He still showed his drawing ability in the box office, he was the only reason the movie made money. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 4.0 to 3.8

› Apart from the chemistry note, Jonathan Good did well. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 0.5 to 0.7

› Miranda Cosgrove is back! Her Ability (Star Power) has gone from 1.5 to 1.7

› Dwayne Hill struggled with the role. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 0.5 to 0.3

› Seth MacFarlane did a great performance as an actor. His Ability (Star Power) has gone from 0.5 to 0.6

http://i.cubeupload.com/1Fh1Hj.png

HACKERS (STUDIO: TOMPKINS SQUARE STUDIOS)

Tompkins Square Studios have firmly established themselves as one of the premier rookie studios around. Hackers is their latest venture, a comedy about two guys who get free memberships to a posh golf club, yet do not fit in with the opulant atmosphere. They are constantly being yelled at by Bradford Tillinghouse (played by William Shatner), who is a veteran member of the same club. If there is one thing to rely on with Tompkins Square Studios is the writing, once again the studio does a great job, especially with the above mentioned Tillinghouse character. Certainly everyone (well not everyone!) was pulling for Billy Sullivan (played by Kevin James) after he landed Amy Tillinghouse (played by Selena Gomez) in what was a sizzling scene.

On the technical side, director Penny Marshall underperforms at critical moments. The only one worse than her is Chevy Chase as Webb Johnson, who somehow managed to take away from the movie even with his limited screen time. The rest of the cast is consistently decent. Going for established stars pays off, their overall ability shows in the quality of the film.

Our two protagonists survive a heated golf battle in the end to capture the happy ending. There is almost an element of 'let's get this over with' after so much time is spent on the battle. A 115 minute comedy might be stretching it a bit, the plot might have had more potency had it been slightly cut down. Even though some of the non-golf enthusiasts found the golf scenes a bit tedious, there was plenty of comedy to go around for everybody to get a laugh.

» Hackers is a blockbuster! The movie does better in the box office than the most far reaching optimist would have expected. TALENT NOTES:

› Penny Marshall didn't do well, but simply by having her name as a blockbuster director is enough to raise her Ability (Directing) from 0.9 to 2.0. Penny Marshall now has a Good relationship with Tompkins Square Studios.

› Kevin James' performance between scenes was inconsistent. For being a lead in a blockbuster, his Ability (Star Power) has gone from 2.0 to 3.0

› Ryan Reynolds was average. For being a lead in a blockbuster, his Ability (Star Power) has gone from 3.0 to 4.0

› William Shatner was average. For being in a major role in a blockbuster, his Ability (Star Power) has gone from 2.5 to 3.0

› Selena Gomez looked great. Her Ability (Star Power) has gone from 2.0 to 2.2

› Pure performance wise, Raquel Welch did best. Her Ability (Star Power) has gone from 1.0 to 1.1

Phew, glad that's over.

Well, at least; money was made. Which, good for our studio...

But still, I am very disappointed with the end result of the movie. This was the end result of me having a creator breakdown and it showed.

This project has made me realize that if I wish to stay afloat in this industry, I need to make some changes to my writing style. So I've decided to give myself two rules to better myself as a writer.

Rule 1. From now on, any movie I make will have a cap of 7000-10000 words. I feel that this is a decent size that will help explain the movie in length and put enough ease on me as a writer.

And Rule 2. Any ideas I make must have been thought through before making. If I make something, I have to actually know what I'm getting into before I dive into it. If I do not know what I am making, how will I know what to make?

We would also like to congratulate HRTV and his studio for the smash hit Hackers. Who would have ever thought that golfing would be so popular in theaters?

Now, (ahem) As we put Bars-Gate aside. We would like to make an announcement.

We are scrapping the movie idea Logos for the time being. Upon further thought, I realized that it was just not it's time.

But we do have another announcement, one that may forever change the direction of The Viper's Den if successful...

We would like to enter talks to create a sequel to the cult franchise The Crow. We feel that it is high time the franchise got a proper continuation from it's original movie and that now is the perfect time for such a movie.

Jack Ryder: Don't sweat it too much. My first film was a bomb thanks to some of the worst dice rolls imaginable. It stinks, but you can ABSOLUTELY bounce back. You may need to cut some corners at spots, but it's definitely doable.

Russel: Thanks again for the kind words. I'm hoping to have another proposal up in the next few days (MAYBE tomorrow, although that's unlikely). I've got some serious cash to play with, which could make things VERY interesting moving forward. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

All right, here it is. The moment that will either make us or break us. And yes, we're still awaiting talks from people for us to negotiate a deal to give us the rights to 'The Crow'.

› Title: The Crow: Resurrected

› Genre: Dark Fantasy/Drama/Action

› Brief Summary Of The Plot: Twenty years after the original Crow, rising musician Troy Larson is accidentally shot by Sparrow Wilson after a night out with his band. There, he is brought back to life to avenge his death and save his girlfriend from the same fate.

› Rating: R

› Production Cost:

› Marketing Cost:

› Director: Alex Proyas for his fantastic work in the original film, but it's not an absolute must. We are also looking into Michael W. Watkins of Law and Order fame and action film extraordinaire Peter Jackson.

› Lead Role: Troy Larson- Once a member of rising rock band ‘The Birds of Tomorrow’, Troy was accidentally shot by his friend since childhood Sparrow Wilson. Now under the guidance under the Crow, he is forced to seek vengeance for the sins of his former band, but also save his girlfriend from a similar fate.

Contact: We want someone who's young and is good with action. Logan Lerman, Adam Driver, Shia LaBeouf and Chris Hemsworth. The person who gets this role will also star in another movie of their choosing. They also get to fight every one of his former band members (Sparrow, Brett, Sammy and Diego)

Sparrow Wilson- Sparrow Wilson was the guitarist for The Birds of Tomorrow. He’s short tempered and sometimes acts without thinking, but he was a nice guy and a great friend of Troy’s. Ever since the shooting, Sparrow has been isolating himself from his friends and the world, unwilling to cope with the fact that he killed his best friend. So much to the point that he is nearing insanity.

Contact: Again, we need somebody who is relatively young and does action well. The role also calls for some real acting chops. Shia LaBeouf is being contacted for this and the role of Troy, Adam Lambert, Bryan Cranston and the legendary Leonardo DiCaprio. Takes part in a fight scene with Troy.

› Major Role:

‘Bones’ Brett Monroe- Brett Monroe was the drummist of the Birds of Tomorrow, soft spoken and humble; he does not take time to make jokes and play games. He will be happy to fight if given the chance, in recent years; he has been taking bookings for MMA fights, which have been going pretty well for him.

Contact: Charlie Day, Phil Brooks (formerly known as C.M Punk) and Trevor Noah. The person chosen gets a very important monologue calling out The Crow for his quest. He also gets a fight scene with Troy. Stunt double included.

Sgt. Albrecht- Twenty years have passed and here he still remains the Sergeant of the police force. He has seen the Crow before and has vivid memories of those days, nearing retirement; he looks for his final big case before moving on. He sees Troy as a sort of reflection to Eric Draven and forms a bond with him. But as the story progresses, he begins to question the motives of this new Crow.

Contact: Amongst the only people to return from the original, Ernie Hudson is entering the building as we speak.

Elizabeth Ravyn- The at one time girlfriend of Troy Larson. A beautiful girl in every sense of the word, once a model in England; she caught a show of The Birds of Tomorrow during their England Tour and loved it. She eventually got to meet the lead singer and the two started dating, she even moved to America to be with him. Since his death, she has returned to her old job as a model and keeps contact with the rest of the band.

Contact: Margot Robbie, Kaley Cuoco, Ariel Winter and Trish Stratus. We plan on doing some partial nudity, but we want to see what they think first. Nearly gets shot by Sparrow.

› Minor Role:

‘Streetwise’ Sammy Smith- The backup vocalist for the band and arguably the most successful. A smart, charismatic figure; when the band broke up, he ended up recording a solo album that got positive feedback from critics. He’s being rumored to be joining Rihanna on a world tour in the coming months, but not unless The Crow has anything to say say about it.

Contact: Ed Sheeran, (should he not get this role we do have another plan for him) Mike Myers and Jess Harnell. Gets a short fight scene with Troy. Stunt double offered.

Diego Cortez- The bass guitar of the Birds of Tomorrow, Diego is now working as a bartender at a local pub. It’s not really much of a job, but someone has to make a living somehow, right? Yeah, it's a pretty cup of coffee role.

Contact: Demian Bichir, Ryan Guzman, Prince Royce and Scotty McCreery. Fight scene with Troy/Crow. Congratulations, you’re the only one that technically doesn’t die from your fight. (But you don’t technically come away without scars)

Toriel Walden- Toriel is the orphanage carrier, and hence; watches over all the kids who have been orphaned. She is a very motherly, tending, loving person who cares for all the kids. Especially Wendy who she grows worried over her erratic behavior.

Contact: Julie Andrews, Angela Lansbury and (I’m so going to get trampled by this) former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein.

Wendy Parsons- One of the orphans in the orphanage, her parents passed away after a car crash; the crash she caused by her own curiosity. She’s stayed there ever since, feeling bitterness, hatred and anger at the world for her suffering. She eventually forms a special bond with Sparrow. (Who he eventually adopts)

Contact: Hayley Faith Negrin, Claire Corbett and Kristin Li. Big monologue for her.

We also would like to contact Blues Saraceno, Ed Sheeran and Adam Lambert to join forces and come up with the soundtrack for the movie.

We also need to hire a trained crow that accompanies Troy throughout his mission.

The Crow: Resurrected (Studio: The Viper's Den)

The list of demands to get the rights:

» 25% of all box office revenue to original comic book artist & The Crow creator, James O'Barr.

» 25% of all box office revenue to original film distribution company.

» You must invest at least $20M into the movie. The creator thinks the franchise has been devalued due to inferior sequels to what was a cult classic. He still believes in The Crow's draw potential and sees this movie as a new beginning.

Then I can see why you had issues on the sporting end. You would be observing MLS and American sports in general from a pretty significant distance. Good to see you tried to do your homework and your understanding isn't too bad. Just a mite incomplete. You are right on how the league is divided up. Two conferences as we call them, geographically divided by East and West. Then bracket style playoffs between the top teams in each conference which in classic soccer style and double leg home and homes. Then a single final game at MLS Cup. As for the Lamar Hunt tourney, visit TheCup.us and that site should tell you all you need to know there.

Story wise I liked Standing Back and was disappointed it got hit so hard. I knew the issues on the sporting side would hurt but I sure didn't expect them to wreak that much havoc. With the backdrop needing work, the dice did you some serious dirt.

But here's the great part for you after that disaster. I love your bounce-back potential. Being that you're from India, you have all of Bollywood to draw from. Seeing that the star ratings tend to be Hollywood focused, that means you could probably get some excellent talent without having to pay through the nose for it. Use that fact to your advantage. Play to what you know and enjoy. If you do, I'm confident you'll pull yourself out of the hole Standing Back dug.

FILM DETAILS

Title: The Inside

Genre: Sci-Fi Comedy

Brief Summery: One night… That’s all it takes to change the course of humanity. Ask Darren Clausen about the night Martians from The Outside tried to come Inside, and he’ll tell you he can’t remember any of it… Probably because he was piss drunk. But ask his brother Riley, and Riley will tell you a harrowing tale of friendship… Family… And Fortune Cookies.

Rating: PG-13

Production: TBD

Marketing: TBD

CASTING DETAILS

Director: Known for his breakout Directorial Effort in Repo-Man, coupled with his masterful work on Biopic Sid And Nancy, we’d like to approach Alex Cox.

LEAD ROLE(S)

Darren Clausen: Darren is your lovable loser type spending most of his time either drunk, stoned, or both. He’s not particularly attractive, but has had his fair share of female companionship. More often than not, he’s in a real tight spot but tends to fall ass backwards into a positive resolution leaving him far better off than when he started.

For this role, we’d like to approach Tyler Labine

MAJOR ROLE(S)

Riley Clausen: The younger of them Clausen boys, Riley is almost always following brother Darren into the fire as opposed to running the other way. Not nearly as reckless in terms of his social activities, Riley knows his limit, and plays within it. Riley is the looker of the family, but not as confident as his older brother.

For This Role, we’d like to approach Ryan Gosling, and Josh Hutcherson

MINOR ROLE(S)

Nancy “Nance” Roust: Nance is the love interest for both of the brothers Clausen with Riley wanting to be with her, worship her, follow her into the deepest of dark alleys… But of course, she chooses Darren.

For This Role, we’d like to approach Rosario Dawson, and Vanessa Hudgens

“Rolls”: A real large fella. Like stuck in a room, confined to a bed kinda big, “Rolls” is a drug-dealer whose drug of choice isn’t anything he sells, but the crunchy bite of Zells 15 Piece Bucket of Skins. Will require prosthetic make-up.

For This Role, we’d like to approach Ben Stiller in a cameo appearance

The Hon. Sleeping Panda Man: Pull out every stereotype imaginable when it comes to “asian” fast food practitioner Sleeping Panda Man. In actuality, Sleeping Panda Man’s real name is Gary, and his act is more than see through.

For This Role, we’d like to approach Rob Schneider in a cameo appearance

Putting Tyler Labine in a lead role makes me really excited for your movie. Good luck.

Awesome to see Andrew break into the upper-echelon of money out of all of us. Great work with the blockbuster. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

So what do you suggest? Should I go full Bollywood actors for my next movie or should I have mixture of both Hollywood and Bollywood?

Thanks will try to do that.

Sorry everyone for double posting. I am using this type of forum after many years. Got habituated to Xenforo type of forums.

But if you do a mix you'll want Hollywood folks with really low star ratings to keep the price down. The best advice I can give you is to make your movie based on things that grab you and don't be afraid to follow any source of inspiration. The relationship dynamics in my movie, Half Gainer, were born from things that happened while I was playing Sims 2. The Taste Maker was a serial killer with my general entertainment sensibilities. Just turned up and exaggerated to violent levels. Search For the Sun is based on a Chinese hero myth while Racing Hearts was based on the Greek story of Atalanta because I'm a sucker for mythology. Find what inspires you and make your films from that. Russel just showed us all what happens in this game if you try to make a movie you don't believe in.
