World of Mixed Martial Arts 5 FAQ

Based on the responses it seems like its going to be a make-or-break feature. It doesn't have to be a damage-transformation system that is superdetailed. Perhaps just lowering some stats in case the fighter took a beating? If they took too much damage they can always forfeit. Its just nice to host tournaments that take a day to complete and not years.

Like I could have Nick Diaz with 90 recovery, 87 chin strength, and by the time he loses one fight and gets rocked like 4 times his chin strength is down to like 74.

Their native resolution would be more than sufficient to play the game. Then you can adjust the resolution down to 1366x768 so that the game doesn't look too small on the screen. Or if you don't have an HDMI port, you could buy a VGA to HDMI adapter and then hook it up to an HDTV.

If you don't have an HDTV or one near enough to the computer for this to be a feasible option then I can't think of another solution at this time.

Wow I got a birthday email from Grey Dog and figured i'd check out the site and I am welcome to hear about a new WMMA game. This is awesome I am super excited and hope to see it flourish.

Heres to hoping strikers stop trying to grapple with grapplers. Strikers stop trying to tackle grapplers and superior grapplers don't dominate 99% of the time. I'd love for the focus honestly to be on the fight engine and presentation of the game...that and the possibility of letting some of the fighter contract stuff be completely automated.

I prefer being the fight setup guy and then seeing the outcomes. Contract management not so much hehe.

Your monitor must be able to handle that size in order to play the game.

Thats still pretty small.
My most wanted features

-Bring back one night tourneys

-Bare knuckles rules allowed in early days/unregulated areas

-Easier contract management. Renewing contracts with a large roster feels is such a chore and easily the worst part of the game

-Multiple broadcasters for different parts of show. Like fightpass prelims, fx prelims, and a ppv main card. And headlining prelims with a good broadcaster should hold some prestige. Like headlining the fx prelims is usually more prestigious than being bottom of main card.

-rebalanced financials or a difficulty setting. Ive never had a game where I dont end up with huge amounts of money in no time

-personality focused stat block. New sliders for things like how much money they want relative to popularity, how good they are at self promoting on social media, how picky they are with opponents relative to popularity, etc...

-setting how much promotional attention each fight or fighter gets. I think wmma2 had something like this.

-more attributes in the editor. These work really well and imo are criminally underused by the current mods

-Fast advance should stop when a fighter on your shortlist comes available for contract. I miss too many opportunities to sign guys on my shortlist because I fast advamce right by them.

-fighters making come backs after retirement randomly.

-the retirement age setting for latest should be pushed back a few years. People pretty much always retire in their early 40s even on the lowest setting, but irl some fighters push close to 50.

-add fighter death to custom events so that we can set hard dates for certain fighters to die.

Things I would kill for but I dont expect to happen

-Pure striking and bjj rules

-Co-promotion events where you can get access to the roster of another organization for a card and split revenue/costs...but they can veto fights you try to make.

-online or at least lan play. Take turns are same time. Day advances when both players click advance.

Most modern games have scalable resolutions up to 4k. I play on a 4k monitor and the window is tiny. Even worse, it autocenters when advancing so I cant even just put it in a corner and watch a video next to it.
