Plus, by the time I'm burnt out on EA UFC, WMMA5 will be patched out with some nice RW mods and it'll be game on. Win-Win in my book!

I’m just going to use the time to create and fine tune some fighters. Probably just go ahead and create my company and sign guys so I can just jump in when the full game lands.

If anything, I'd get UFC3 next month as that will most likely be way less stable and in need of patching (if the beta was any indication). But then again you can do the same for WMMA5. There will be patches regardless and the price ain't going down for a long time, so you might as well purchase if you liked the demo.

I'll get both anyway but UFC only releases the 2th of february in the store I used to go to, back when I bought physical games. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> (unless I end up getting it digital anyhow - probably <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)

Not to knock WMMA as I love the series but i'm amazed the UFC games have never tried to come out with a mode similar to what WMMA is. I guess the UFC may not like that but I think with the added feature of actually being able to see and do the fights it would be really cool.

Saying that i'm super hyped for the new fight engine. I might actually read each bit of the fight instead of just jumping to the big bolded moments. Boxers might try and break out of grapples and not try to grapple a wrestler lol.

UFC game will never have anything similar to what WMMA 5 offers because there simply isn't a fan base to play a game like WMMA 5 with a typical MMA fan. And now a metaphor. I see a large portion of UFC gaming fans like those who typically go to a UFC event. They want the ooohs and ahhhhs. The quick knockout, the blood, the violence they don't care about a 5 minute technical fight. Then there is us who enjoy WMMA, we are the "technical" fans. The fans who can appreciate a technical fight and have the patience to watch it play out. Get it? Adam can I get a free copy for this?

I think there is a market for both styles of play if you comprise the people who would play those games and EA is just missing out wasting their time pissing off fans with booty microtransactions. Don't let the loud minority casual fans make you think that's the majority of us, the rest of us just enjoy watching people beat each other to unconsciousness in an 8 sided cage no matter what flavor that comes in. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Speaking of technical fights and fighters: Nurmogamedov > McGregor

Ultimate Team and online fighting when there is a massive world that can be created for single or multiplayer and that is what WMMA provides.

Well the dollars don't lie and they realize that people are too stupid to figure out that they got a better deal when they paid a larger monthly price than when they purchase a zillion microtransactions so now they are throwing it in literally everything they own. Indie games and indie studies are the way to go nowadays in the games industry for gamers looking for really great experiences and I fold GDS into that same lump with their WMMA series.
