There's several disciplines available, but no MMA. It's tied to attributes and there's no attribute for "World Class MMA". :p

Hear me out here....Suppose a fight were booked between Demitrious Johnson and Floyd Mayweather . Wouldn't it be fair to consider this a fight between a "World Class Boxer" vs a "World Class MMA Fighter". My point is that Mighty Mouse is good enough in all disciplines that when he combines them he is "World Class MMA" rather than in wrestling jui jitsu etc.

It wouldn't make any sense to have an attribute for the very thing the game's stats simulate.

Some more stuff?

O.M.G. WMMA 5 is on the path to being awesome.

I guess the scope for the game is already set, but here are some things I was struggling with in WMMA 4 that I didn't see in the journal:

1. Gyms - would be nice to run one, hire coaches and stuff. Also, would be good to see the specialization of the gym without the need to go into the editor.

2. Ranking of fighters - probably the biggest thing. I personally don't agree with the game's rankings (especially when due to some hidden edits in modded data a newbie 0-0 fighter gets #10 in the world record). So I need to keep my own excel file with my own rankings and stuff - takes a lot of time. So probably, if the game cannot be more precise in the rankings, an ability to manually move fighters up and down the ranks in your own company would be handy? And if I could also add some sort of custom record (I know there are tags...but it's more like an addition to the roster table) where I could for example keep the fighter's score..

P.S. Just happened - as a result of last show, my fighter became #1 P4P. After next show, another of my fighters became #1 even though neither him, nor the previous #1 had any fights during this time - i.e. the shift happened for no reason whatsoever. So yeah - either need to fix the ranking system to better reflect results and quality of opposition or give players some freedom in determining that themselves.

3. Not sure if this actually was addressed, but currently the target availability of a fighter looks like "injured for 3 weeks". It would be way better if an actual date was displayed when the fighter would become available.

4. I wonder if it will be possible to sign up fighters who are still recovering for some future fights. It's a bit annoying when a guy has like a week left to recover and you can't sign him up for a fight that's in three months until the next week. TBA might partially take care of this issue, but still...

5. Child companies - is it possible to have full control over them? (i.e. determine their fight cards and such?). Would finally make sense to keep them instead of just closing.

6. Please add an ability to change the region for a show once fights have been assigned (but time hasn't passed yet). I hate to fill half of the card and then to cancel the show and do it all over again because I don't have enough popular talent in the region.

7. Love the ranking by popularity feature. Would be also great to see fighters by popularity in different regions - for example, I can have a fighter who is immensely popular in USA but not at all in Japan - will make more sense for me to put him in a show which takes place in US. But finding that out manually record by record is tedious.

Overall a great set of changes though. being able to host "small shows" without a huge impact on popularity is one of my personal favorites.

I'm happy TBA makes a return for this, even though it's not ideal.

The only way to determine fight cards is to be the active player so you'd have to enter a different player into the game playing your child company. Remember that you can still give booking instructions.

Why don't you see first whether a main event is viable? Remember that Adam announced the transfer of fights to a different cards so that problem has been fixed.

Sure, some guys are notorious for explicitly saying they won't think about fights right after one but many guys talk about new matchups immediately and have their next fight booked within days and if not weeks. I do agree with your solution though, an attribute to override this would be the most realistic fix. If not, an on/off switch as part of sandbox box mode would be an okay option. This was my biggest use of TBA in WMMA 3 so the return of that was big news for me too.

This one was disappointing to me. No announcement that it would be made easier for a single player to play multiple promotions. Perhaps the most important suggestion I feel I made and the biggest disappointment when nothing changed in that regard. Imo running multiple promotions is just far too slow and unviable in its current state. Oh well, can't improve everything at once..

Don't know if that is even possible though. I've never taken control of a company mid-game. Would you see the booked cards in the matchmaking screen? I should try that.

Or you could try what some players posted before and what I once attempted (for the female weights only, I'm not a madman) and just sign and control everyone of note in something like UFC². <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Automatically Retire Fighters

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I would like to be able to have the game automatically retire fighters that lose a specific number of fights. I don't know if that will be possible in WMMA5 or not.

Say you've got a 21-year-old with superstar potential but has a couple of bad fights. He should then be forced to retire after having, say, 4 fights and losing them? What would the 'logical', reasonable number be?

An alternative would be to have the option to manually retire fighters if you wished. But again, what would the point of it be? Just don't hire the ones you don't want. Alternatively, if they're in your company and on a losing streak, fire them.
