For Scurll it was aligning with the Bullet Club and taking his villainous persona to a new level. For King, he starred on The Bachelor as one of the suitors for one of The Bachelorette's, beyond that he captured the Television Title before losing it toward the end of 2017... As 2018 kicked off though King recaptured the Television Title and it's been lights out since then. In fact King suffered his first loss of 2018 when Marty Scurll tapped him out during the second night of the War of the Worlds tour. For Scurll 2018 got off to a rocky start with five losses in his first seven bouts of the year for Ring of Honor. Following a loss to rival Will Ospreay at Anniversary, Scurll packed his bags and headed for WXW in Germany to get back to his roots. Scurll returned a month later angry than ever and with an eye on the gold. He immediately challenged Kenny King last month and this will be his opportunity to cash in on the gold and get 2018 back on track.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles</span></span></strong></p><p><strong> SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C} vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii)</strong></p><p> <img alt="IiF2KXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IiF2KXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Cbw2583.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Cbw2583.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tpqum4A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tpqum4A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="KBGDwh2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KBGDwh2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ChBhb0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ChBhb0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="hG4O1TV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hG4O1TV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Like a ship without a rudder, Rocky Romero entered 2018 without a direction. After debuting Roppongi 3K in NJPW in early October, Romero finished his commitment to NJPW in early February and returned to ROH full-time shortly there after. Meanwhile in November 2017, Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels brought fellow SoCal native Scorpio Sky into the fold as SoCal Uncensored. After failing to win the 6-Man Tag Titles in multiple opportunities, The Addiction booted Scorpio Sky from the group and introduced another SoCal wrestling native, Rocky Romero as there new partner, the new, and improved SoCal Uncensored 2.0. At Anniversary in March of 2018 The SoCal 2.0 crew captured the 6-man tag titles. A new set of challengers arrived with the NJPW crew when Rocky Romero's former stablemates CHAOS showed up. Okada, Yano and Ishii have spent the last three weeks feuding with SoCal Uncensored and now have the opportunity to take the belts from them.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FFFF00;">ROH Tag Titles</span></span></strong></p><p> <strong><em>Ladder Warfare</em></strong></p><p> <strong>The Briscoe Brothers {C} vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. War Machine</strong></p><p> <img alt="QLxbVjg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QLxbVjg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="l8MTPbW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/l8MTPbW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="odACYrQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/odACYrQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xudhQ89.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xudhQ89.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="P5BbpIx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/P5BbpIx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="TPXMrhF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TPXMrhF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Envision if you will the tag titles hung 25' feet above the ring. The ring itself surrounded with ladders, tables, chairs and 50 feet of chains. Once that picture is in your head, then envision our combatants. Jay and Mark Briscoe, 9X Ring of Honor tag champions, and our current and reigning champs. On an anger-filled, rage-fueled binge that has seen them retire Bully Ray at Final Battle, capture the titles from Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley in a Fight Without Honor, and now reign supreme over Ring of Honor. But what happens when you put a team at a combined weight of 550 pounds, and tell them there are no rules and no limits... well that's War Machine. Raymond Rowe and Hanson are a brutish team with extreme strength and the ability do a lot more than your standard heavyweights. Oh, and then you have your third team, The Motor City Machine Guns. Much like The Briscoes, Shelley and Sabin have been a team for the last decade and together have achieved a ton, but losing the titles to The Briscoes seems to have flipped a new switch in the Guns. They haven't lost since losing the titles at Manhattan Mayhem and they are clearly the most athletic team in this bout. One thing is for certain... these six men will pull out all the stops... and ladder warfare will certainly leave carnage.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor World Title</span></strong></span></p><p> <strong>Cody {C} vs. Kenny Omega</strong></p><p> <img alt="rhWLJLc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rhWLJLc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="iZIiHhG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iZIiHhG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Since leaving the WWE two years ago, Cody has toured the world and taken on an even more arrogant persona than the one he was known for in the WWE. With his wife, Women of Honor champion, Brandi Rhodes by his side Cody has begun antagonizing his ROH Bullet Club partners for their inability to capture gold. In fact as he pointed out, only the Rhodes have gold currently. This prompted The Young Bucks to promise that the true leader of the Bullet Club would be here for War of the Worlds and sure enough Kenny Omega arrived and immediately challenged Cody for his title. Cody meanwhile may have his eye on Omega, but in the process he took a loss to IWGP Champion Tetsuya Naito during the final night of the televised tour. Certainly with Omega on his radar Cody has bigger things to worry about, but if he does get through Omega tonight, he better know that Naito certainly will loom at some point this year. Another storyline to follow with this bout is the fracture that is looming with the Bullet Club. Win or lose will Cody remain part of the club? We shall see.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Odinson vs. "The Time Bomb" Hiromu Takahashi</strong></p><p> <img alt="5wIQJMM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5wIQJMM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="QeiFM4n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QeiFM4n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Since winning the Top Prospect tournament in January of 2018, the 6'4" 285 pound Odinson has destroyed everything that has crossed his path. With promos proclaiming "The End" and a recent "connection" with Matt Taven, Odinson's 2018 promises to continue to be explosive. Hiromu Takahashi meanwhile has had put on very solid matches but hasn't quite bridged the gap to being the star that some have pegged him to be. Thankfully for Takahashi he doesn't seem phased, especially since he has his best friend, Daryl, to keep him company. This bout between two deranged and unhinged individuals will be a fun bout featuring two of the games brightest young "prospects".</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tetsuya Naito vs. Dalton Castle</strong></p><p> <img alt="EpaJlLo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EpaJlLo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="DJeshS8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DJeshS8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Since losing the ROH World Title in February, Dalton Castle has been on a rapid tailspin. He's failed to capture the Television title, despite multiple opportunities. Having not won in two months now, Castle is beginning to get more and more unhinged and now has laid out a challenge to the current IWGP World Champion, Tetsuya Naito. Naito came to the War of the World's tour with a clear mission. Beat the best that Ring of Honor has to offer and prove why he is one of the best in the world. Despite that he was defeated by Nick Jackson two weeks ago, before getting back on track and defeating the Ring of Honor champion Cody on the final night of the televised tour. Naito has earned an opportunity to challenge for the ROH World title but now he must focus on the previous ROH World champion, Dalton Castle. Win or lose, Castle must stayed focused just to have a chance in this one.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><em>Junior Heavyweight Showcase</em></strong></p><p> <strong>Will Ospreay vs. Kota Ibushi vs. Flip Gordon vs. Juice Robinson</strong></p><p> <img alt="OkoebUA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OkoebUA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="iwf4ME6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iwf4ME6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="VskZOFh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VskZOFh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="8a6q1C8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8a6q1C8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> CJ Parker was a failed NXT hippie... three years later he's found himself as NJPW's Juice Robinson. At only 23, Flip Gordon is one of then breakout stars that is working towards a huge future in the sport. Kota Ibushi has been one of the hottest freelancers in the world for the last half-decade and is continuing to prove himself as an elite athlete... but all three of them may not be on the same level as the Aerial Assassin, 24-year old, Will Ospreay. Ospreay is arguably the world's most athletic wrestler and will continue to be one of the shooting stars in this business. This match will allow all four men to showcase themselves, with the winner certainly gaining a great deal of respect and honor.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jay Lethal vs. Low-Ki vs. Ricochet</strong></p><p> <img alt="JNvytgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JNvytgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="tQ0mLbb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tQ0mLbb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="eXHsYwR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eXHsYwR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> When Ricochet was injured merely a week before making his Ring of Honor debut there was a great deal of disappointment among the ROH faithful. Ricochet promised to make a return to ROH a later date but after the original Ring of Honor champion, Low-Ki, made a shock return during the second night of the tour, Ricochet was motivated to make a surprise return to the ring. This was further exacerbated when Low-Ki began choking Jay Lethal out during their match. Ricochet ran down to make the save but ultimately was struck by Lethal, who was offended that Ricochet felt the need to "save" the greatest first-generation pro wrestler. Lethal and Low-Ki have always had a long-term hard-hitting feud and now Ricochet has stepped right into the middle of it. This one is guaranteed to be a brutal, hard-hitting, and high-flying bout, between three of the best wrestlers in the world.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Young Bucks vs. EVIL/SANADA</strong></p><p> <img alt="NEHdvLg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NEHdvLg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8378v4n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8378v4n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="HgRgJK9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HgRgJK9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xPZldyT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xPZldyT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Matt and Nick Jackson, known colloquially as The Young Bucks challenged the IWGP Tag champs, EVIL and SANADA to a bout to prove that they are still the best damn tag team in the world. Matt and Nick have both had a bit of singles luck in Japan, but since losing the 6-man tag titles in Ring of Honor they've had some struggles in tag action. Facing EVIL and SANADA, arguably the hottest tag team in Japan will be a battle of two of the best current teams on the market. EVIL and SANADA came to Ring of Honor with something to prove, and thus far have done exactly that winning all three matches they've had on the tour, including beating Omega and the Young Bucks in a 6-man tag match.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling Present: War of the Worlds</span></span></span></strong></p><p> <em>Quick Picks (Session Two, Round Four of Five)</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>ROH World Title: Cody {C} vs. Kenny Omega<br /></li><li>ROH Tag Titles, Ladder Warfare: Briscoe Brothers {C} vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. War Machine<br /></li><li>ROH 6-Man Tag Titles: CHAOS (Ishii, Okada, Yano) vs. SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C}<br /></li><li>ROH TV Title: Kenny King {C} vs. Marty Scurll<br /></li><li>Tag Bout: EVIL and SANADA vs. The Young Bucks<br /></li><li>Grudge Match: Hiromu Takahashi vs. Odinson<br /></li><li>Junior Heavyweight Showcase: Flip Gordon vs. Juice Robinson vs. Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay<br /></li><li>Triple Threat: Jay Lethal vs. Low-Ki vs. Ricochet<br /></li><li>Dalton Castle vs. Tetsuya Naito<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong>Comments:</strong> </p><p> </p><p> Wanted to put together a preview that summed up the matches for this Pay-Per-View. Being that it is the end of the tour for NJPW I thought it would be good to put this on paper and help the readers (as well as myself) better flesh out the matches and the next steps once we return to just being Ring of Honor stars. I hope you enjoy the preview, and consider this the last call for predictions for this PPV... For the couple of you who have predicted already, obviously your predictions will count, but feel free to edit them if this preview leads you to feel the need.</p>

<p>ROH World Title:<strong> Cody</strong> {C} vs. Kenny Omega</p><p>

On Omega: I thought he was a bit of a dork in his initial ROH run, 10 years ago or however long ago that was. He's STILL a dork...but when it's big match time I think there are very few in the world better than him. (And maybe just one, namely the guy who makes it rain money.)</p><p> </p><p>

Above the ring the Ring of Honor Tag Titles were already hung. Ladder Warfare was underway. The bout started as a standard tornado six man tag and immediately got violently with every exchanging punches. Ultimately we saw <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> bring in the first weapon, a steel chair, and set it up in the corner of the ring. As it was set <strong>Hanson</strong> whipped <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> toward the chair, but Jay wisely shoved his brother out of the way and went after <strong>Hanson</strong>. Ultimately the Briscoes managed to use the chair to their advantage and take Hanson down with a drop toe-hold into the chair. Ultimately, the first table was brought into play when <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> sent <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> flying over the top-rope and through one of the pre-set tables. This certainly neutralized Sabin for a bit. The first major spot came when <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> brought a ladder into the ring and beginning spinning like a madman, clearing the ring out and giving himself and opportunity to climb the ladder. As he made his way up <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> met him near the top and the two began exchanging blows. This led <strong>Hanson and Rowe</strong> to climb both sides as well... Our first true high spot came when <strong>Hanson</strong> threw <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> from the top of the ladder out of the ring, nearly 20' below and through a waiting table. As he did that the ladder lost it's balance and all three remaining men went toppling to the ground. <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong>, wasting no time, set-up his own ladder and immediately climbing, as he reached the top, the now revived <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> climbed the turnbuckles and drop-kicked the ladder, sending Mark to a similar demise as his brother, through a table, on the floor, roughly 20' away. The carnage was all over, two ladders were down in the ring, three tables broken at ringside, with two men still draped through them. Now, <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> regained his footing first and grabbed some of the length of chain and began wrapping it around <strong>Rowe</strong>, securing him to the turnbuckle. <strong>Shelley</strong> reset the ladder and he began climbing it, reaching the top just as <strong>Hanson</strong> came to. <strong>Hanson</strong> pushed the ladder just as <strong>Shelley</strong> reached for the belts, causing him to land squarely over the ropes... But before <strong>Hanson</strong> could do anything both <strong>Briscoe brothers</strong> miraculously were on their feet. Wielding two chain wrapped chairs, <strong>Mark and Jay</strong> struck <strong>Hanson</strong>, flooring him and <strong>Jay</strong> stood guard, warding off <strong>Sabin</strong> as <strong>Mark</strong> climbed the ladder and retrieved their belts. Our show opened with <strong>The Briscoes</strong> defending the gold, and medics tending to all three teams. In particular the medics tended to Rowe, who appeared to have a serious arm injury as a result of being strapped to the ropes with the chain...</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Briscoe Brothers defeated War Machine and Motor City Machine Guns in Ladder Warfare to defend their Ring of Honor Tag Championships</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>As the ring was cleared and set-up for our next bout we got a brief video highlighting the Scurll and King feud.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor Television Championship</span></span></strong><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Kenny King {C} vs. "The Villain" Marty Scurll</strong></p><p> <img alt="BLyFA4f.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BLyFA4f.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="NXdcx8x.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NXdcx8x.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Coming off a stellar opening bout this one was a bit of a disappointment. <strong>Kenny King</strong> has held the TV Title for four months now, losing only once in that span, last week in 6-man tag action to the man he is facing tonight, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong>. Scurll meanwhile took a brief sabbatical to find himself and unleash the true villain. This bout saw a bit of everything, including near-falls and heelish tactics from both men, but the finish was pure as <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> caught <strong>Kenny King</strong> coming off the ropes and locked in the Crossface Chicken Wing forcing King to tap-out and crowning Scurll as the new Ring of Honor Television Champion. King was never on his top-game tonight and that certainly cost him tonight.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner, and New Ring of Honor Television Champion: Marty Scurll</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles</span></span></strong></p><p><strong> SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C} vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii)</strong></p><p> <img alt="IiF2KXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IiF2KXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Cbw2583.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Cbw2583.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tpqum4A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tpqum4A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="KBGDwh2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KBGDwh2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ChBhb0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ChBhb0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="hG4O1TV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hG4O1TV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The underlying story in this one was certainly that <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> felt abandoned by <strong>CHAOS</strong> when he was let-go by NJPW in late January. This prompted him to "Find himself again" connecting with wrestling veterans and SoCal natives <strong>The Addiction</strong> to form <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> in early March. Since capturing the 6-man titles these guys have been on a run, but tonight they would need to bring their umbrellas to avoid the "Rain...maker"... Ok that was a bad line... but the moral of the story stands true. The key to this bout was the ability of <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> to isolate and altogether avoid <strong>Okada</strong>. Ultimately a lapse in judgement by <strong>Toru Yano</strong> allowed them to do just that. Yano, as he is prone to do, undid the turnbuckle pad, setting <strong>Frankie Kazarian</strong> up for a brutal irish whip into the corner, but little did Yano know Romero had tagged in and Romero struck from behind with a Running Foreign Devil (Double Knee Strike) into the back of Yano, forcing him chest-first into the exposed turnbuckle and allowing Romero to quickly roll him up and grab the win and title defense for his team.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">SoCal Uncensored 2.0 defeated CHAOS to retain the Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Post-match <strong>The Addiction</strong> and <strong>Romero</strong> held a mock "party" in the ring where <strong>Daniels and Kazarian</strong> tossed handfuls of coins into the air and Rocky screamed "I'm making it hail in here"... <strong>Okada, Yano and Ishii</strong> disgustingly stared the trio down as they left the ringside area.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Odinson vs. "The Time Bomb" Hiromu Takahashi</strong></p><p> <img alt="5wIQJMM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5wIQJMM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="QeiFM4n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QeiFM4n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Our next bout saw two of the best Top Prospects in wrestling do battle. <strong>Odinson</strong> towers over <strong>Takahashi</strong> and the size difference was the big story for the first half of the battle. Ultimately though the Time Bomb made a solid comeback and began taking <strong>Odinson</strong> down to size and keeping the big-man grounded. Unfortunately for <strong>Takahashi</strong>, <strong>Matt Taven</strong> decided to make an appearance, wandering down to ringside, joining the announce table and immediately threatening Takahashi's beloved stuffed animal, <em>Daryl</em>. <strong>Hiromu</strong> took his eyes off <strong>Odinson</strong> and came after <strong>Taven</strong>, who ran around the ring like a madman with <strong>Takahashi</strong> chasing him until <strong>Odinson</strong> came out of nowhere and hit a huge Pounce on <strong>Takahashi</strong> sending him through the barrier at ringside. <strong>Odinson</strong> dragged <strong>Takahashi</strong> back into the ring, hit The End and made the cover for the victory as <strong>Matt Taven</strong> joyously applauded on the ramp.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Odinson defeated Hiromu Takahashi</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Jay Lethal vs. Low-Ki vs. Ricochet</strong></p><p> <img alt="JNvytgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JNvytgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="tQ0mLbb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tQ0mLbb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="eXHsYwR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eXHsYwR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Up next we had the triple threat that some that featured <strong>Ricochet</strong>'s Ring of Honor debut and two Ring of Honor veterans renewing a rivalry long-since snuffed. This bout was electric from the start and speed was off the charts. <strong>Low-Ki and Lethal</strong> both put on phenomenal technical displays while <strong>Ricochet</strong> showed off some of the aerial skills that have made world renowned. Ultimately <strong>Low-Ki and Lethal</strong> got into a classic chop fest that left both mens chest cut-up and allowed <strong>Ricochet</strong> to take advantage, dropkicking both men out of the ring. <strong>Ricochet</strong> then went flying and hit a terrifying Tope Con Hilo on <strong>Lethal</strong>, but missed <strong>Low-Ki</strong> who had fallen further away from the scene. This allowed <strong>Low-Ki</strong> to recover and take the fight to <strong>Ricochet</strong>, forcing both men back into the ring. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> backed Ricochet into the corner but <strong>Ricochet</strong> countered and sent <strong>Low-Ki</strong> face first into the turnbuckle. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> fell into the middle of the ring and<strong> Ricochet</strong> went up top for a devastating maneuver, only to have <strong>Lethal</strong> sweep his feet out from under him and trap him in a tree of woe position. <strong>Lethal</strong> then went to climb the ropes but, showing his boyish athleticism, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> recovered, used the prone <strong>Ricochet</strong>'s body as a springboard and leapt off him, clocking <strong>Lethal</strong> square across the chest and sending him back to the floor. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> then bounced up the ropes and hit a huge Ghetto Stomp across the chest of <strong>Ricochet</strong> and made the cover for the win.</p><p> </p><p> As the match ended and medics tended to <strong>Ricochet</strong> and his knee, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> got back in the ring and got into the face of <strong>Low-Ki</strong>. This one was just about pride and in this battle both teams put it all on the line. Early on it looked like it was going to be the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> night, but <strong>EVIL and SANADA</strong> battled back and took control. Ultimately <strong>Nick</strong> reversed a Tiger Suplex attempt by <strong>SANADA</strong> and swung the momentum back into the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> favor, this time for good. To be honest this match wound up disappointing as all four men tried to do a little too much to make themselves known. The finish of the bout saw <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> hit a 450 Splash on <strong>Juice Robinson</strong> only to be pulled off by <strong>Ibushi</strong> who promptly hit a Kamigoye...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="tenor.gif" data-src="https://media.tenor.com/images/db5bb2dae60387ac837f582965da49a7/tenor.gif" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />...</p><p> </p><p> But before <strong>Ibushi</strong> could make a cover <strong>Ospreay</strong> struck him in the head with a flurry of lethal kicks, sending him from the ring... <strong>Ospreay</strong> then set <strong>Juice</strong> up and hit the aerobatic OsCutter....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="38.gif" data-src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ek8ZWAxVW8I/WBKlmBISwiI/AAAAAAAAVNY/UFypRKqcZ7YBTJbcyadyjO3X0tdjySJEACLcB/s200/38.gif" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> and secured the victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Will Ospreay defeated Juice Robinson, Kota Ibushi, and Flip Gordon</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Post-match, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> immediately called out his long-time rival and new Television Champ, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong>, telling Marty that in 2018 Ospreay would do to Scurll exactly what Scurll did to Ospreay in 2017, and that is take the Television title from his grasp.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor World Title</span></strong></span></p><p> <strong>Cody {C} vs. Kenny Omega</strong></p><p> <img alt="DPrqYXh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DPrqYXh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="iZIiHhG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iZIiHhG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With that we reached the main event. <strong>Cody and Brandi Rhodes</strong> made an elaborate entrance complete with fireworks and a light-show. <strong>Cody</strong> was wearing a hood, and when he pulled it off he revealed a new look, with bleached blonde hair, much like his father. <strong>Omega</strong> made a more standard "Cleaner" entrance. Both men wore <em>Bullet Club</em> shirts to the ring, but <strong>Cody</strong> tore his off revealing an <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>"American Nightmare"</strong></span> shirt underneath as <strong>Omega</strong> made his way to the ring. The bout itself was a classic Ring of Honor bout which told a story of two men, hungry for glory and power. The match had a slow build-up which both men masterfully handled. <strong>Brandi</strong> attempted to get involved in the match but was frequently rebuffed, both by Omega and the official. We are also six weeks away from Best In The World, our mid-point Pay-Per-View. The show opened with <strong>Low-Ki</strong>, fresh off signing a contract, coming down to the ring and challenging <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> to an <span style="text-decoration:underline;">"Honor Series"</span> a best-of-5 series to determine who truly is one of the best wrestlers in the world! Each match would have a specific stipulation, starting with a traditional singles bout, starting next week.</p><p> </p><p> With an explosive start we went to our first bout, <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> absolutely annihilated enhancement talent, <strong>Julian Starr</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> headed out to the ring, flanked by his lawyer, Lawlor immediately brought up that for the last month Ring of Honor has been focused on international expansion and the attention of the world. But in reality they should have been focused on the issues at hand. Like how <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong> is still employed. But Lawlor is willing to let bygones be bygones. He mentions that he never "Formally" signed the contract... rather just scribbled some letters. While it is a "valid" signature, he will never feel like a true member of Ring of Honor until he gets the respect he deserves. ... This prompts <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> to make an appearance and discuss how being a member of Ring of Honor means more to him than anything in the world. He challenges Lawlor to a bout next week.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> defeated <strong>Vinny Marseglia</strong> in a relatively quick bout, post-match <strong>Shelley</strong> called out <strong>Cody</strong> but got someone he wasn't expecting instead.... <em>"Warbeard"</em> <strong>Hanson</strong>. <strong>Hanson</strong> came out and said that <strong>Shelley</strong> may feel like he's earned a chance but for the last five years Hanson has also given his sweat and blood to this company... and last week his partner, <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> (Rowe tore his tricep at War of the Worlds and is now out for a bit) gave his arm to this company, almost literally... <strong>Hanson</strong> said that while Rowe is out, he'll carry on the War Machine name, but he'll also conquer the singles division.... </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Matt Taven</strong> defeated <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in a back and forth bout that saw <strong>Odinson</strong> interfere and help Taven get the victory. Post-match <strong>Taven and Odinson</strong> appeared to cement an alliance of sorts with a handshake on the ramp.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> defeated <strong>The Best Friends</strong>, the bout was easily the match of the night and both teams gave it their all. In the end it was the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> who seemed primed for a shot at the <strong>Briscoes</strong>.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV, May Week 4</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="eyGwXAh.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eyGwXAh.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> Prior to this weeks show, the in-crowd audience and ROHWrestling.com followers were treated to a <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> skit. The team said they knew they were the best in the world and knew no one could challenge them... Most of all they know they won't be fighting in front of THESE fans...</p><p> </p><p> The televised portion of the show kicked off with <strong>Cody</strong> coming down to the ring. He calls out both <strong>Hanson and Alex Shelley</strong> and said he admires their gall to challenge him. He said that they were both right, they deserved a shot at Best In The World next month... but... only one of them will get that shot. Soooo, next week it'll be <strong>Alex Shelley vs. Hanson</strong>; winner is the #1 Contender.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> wound up choking out <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> in our opener. Post-match, referee <strong>Brian Gorie</strong> raised Lawlor's hand, much to his pleasure. But his opportunity to gloat was interrupted by <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> who came out and said he was tired of sitting around doing nothing. He told <strong>Lawlor</strong> to shut up and take what has been given to him on a silver spoon, because guys like him (Taylor) don't get those opportunities... and if <strong>Lawlor</strong> doesn't want it, then you better bet that <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> is going to take it...</p><p> </p><p> In our next bout <strong>Odinson</strong>, accompanied to the ring by <strong>Matt Taven</strong>, shocked the Ring of Honor faithful and defeated <strong>Dalton Castle</strong>. Post-Match, <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> had another Jericho-esque 1990s fit and once again threw <strong>The Boys</strong> out of the ring as <strong>Taven and Odinson</strong> mocked him in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Will Ospreay</strong>, out to prove he is a force to be reckoned with, defeated <strong>Kenny King</strong> in our semi-main event. <strong>Ospreay</strong> post-match called out <strong>Scurll</strong> and got The Villain on the screen instead of in-person. <strong>The Villain</strong>, complete in Plague Doctor-esque gear, said that the time will come... but that time is not now...</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> defeated <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> in the first match of the "Honor Series" Best of Five challenge. This was a great back and forth bout with a ton of huge strikes, kicks, and even some aerial action but in the end Low-Ki hit the throwback Ki Krusher 99 for the victory and the lead in the series. With the victory <strong>Low-Ki</strong> got to name the stipulation for their next match-up and announced it would be a "Submissions" bout as we went off the air.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

Things are heated at the beginning, but <strong>Cody</strong> calls a truce and says that while it's been made clear to him their loyalty lies with <strong>Kenny Omega</strong>, he knows that in Ring of Honor, he is the champion and champions (while pointing to <strong>Scurll</strong> as well as himself and his wife, <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong>) require a certain protection. And when the Bucks win the Tag titles from the Briscoes, they'll need some assistance as well... And he knows that the Club is significantly stronger if they stick together... He holds up a One Sweet for the group but <strong>The Bucks and Page</strong> hesitate, <strong>Scurll</strong> calls them together and they break the huddle and quickly one-sweet <strong>Cody</strong>. It sure seems like they may be back on the same page, even if it is merely a relationship of convenience.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Briscoe Brothers</strong> defended their titles against <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> in the opening bout. <strong>Ali and St. Giovanni</strong> did a great job but are no match for the <strong>Briscoes</strong>. Post-match, <strong>Caprice Coleman</strong> comes down to ringside and offers <strong>Shaheem Ali</strong> his services saying he can take him to the next level. Ali thinks about it, but then says he's not leaving his "brother" and wraps his arm around <strong>Leon St. Giovanni</strong>. <strong>Coleman</strong> says he's making a mistake, but walks out.</p><p> </p><p> In another tag bout <strong>Flip Gordon and Will Ospreay</strong> defeated <strong>Hangman Page and the TV Champion, Marty Scurll</strong>. Neither man's partner were at ringside with <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> respecting the fact that <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> was out with a Tricep injury. <strong>Shelley</strong>, the underdog size-wise, defeated <strong>Hanson</strong> with the Sliced Bread #2 and post-match both men showed each-other the respect we'd expect from them. <strong>Sabin</strong> came down to the ring and he and <strong>Shelley</strong> celebrated together!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>ROH TV, June Week 2</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <img alt="9D6RlTt.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9D6RlTt.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This weeks show opened with <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> submitting <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> in the middle of the ring. Taylor's size was no match for Lawlor's technical skills. Post-match <strong>Lawlor</strong> celebrated the win and told the back to never question his skills.</p><p> </p><p> In our second bout <strong>Matt Taven</strong> and his associate, <strong>Odinson</strong> defeated <strong>The Boys</strong> in tag action. <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> did not come to the ring with <strong>The Boys</strong> and they looked lost without him.</p><p> </p><p> We got a promo from the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> telling the <strong>Briscoes</strong> that at <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Best In The World</span> they'd prove to them why they are widely known as "The Best In The World"...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> defeated <strong>Grizzly Redwood</strong> in a squash match. <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong>, on commentary, highlighted that guys like <strong>Grizzly Redwood</strong> used to be <em>"names"</em> here in Ring of Honor and that <strong>Damien</strong> was completing the <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Exorcism of Ring of Honor</span> one mortal at a time.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> was interviewed backstage, in the interview he mentioned that he had <strong>Marty Scurll</strong>'s number and that at Best In The World he's going to defeat him... 1-2-3, square in the middle of the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kenny King</strong> got back on the winning track defeating <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in our next bout. Post-match as King celebrate <strong>Caprice Coleman</strong> came down to the ring and offered him his services. King stares at him and says "Been there, done that" and walks out. <strong>Coleman</strong> has been turned down again.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> tied the Honor Series up, submitting <strong>Low-Ki</strong> in the middle of the ring with a Figure Four Leg Lock. This was another hard-hitting bout and Lethal fought through adversity to secure the victory. He grabbed a microphone and announced the third match in the series would be a challenge for <strong>Low-Ki</strong> because it would require him having friends in the back. The third bout will be a Tag Match, and this clearly favors <strong>Jay Lethal</strong>!</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p></div></blockquote><p></p>

ROH TV June 2018 Week 3 and Week 4 and BEST IN THE WORLD PPV Preview

ROH TV, June 2018 Week 3

TS0keVM.png

A mere two shows away from Best In The World, Ring of Honor TV was back on your local Sinclair Broadcast Group affiliate with a great card, including the third match in the best of five Honor Series, between Low-Ki and Jay Lethal.

The show kicked off with Best Friends, Beretta and Chuckie T defeating Tough Guy Inc.. Best Friends have been relatively stagnant thus far in Ring of Honor but the fans enjoy them.

Backstage, SoCal Uncensored 2.0 taunt Chris Sabin, saying his partner has abandoned him for bigger and better things and that he was destined to be left alone and out of opportunities. Suddenly, Daniels eyes widen as Hanson steps into the frame... He mentions that he's not a fan of three on one bullying... so at Best in the World, he's going to partner with Sabin and a third man to challenge SoCal Uncensored 2.0 for the 6-Man Tag Titles.

Shaheem Ali defeated Shane Taylor in a one-on-one bout. Post-match Caprice Coleman comes to the ring and tells Taylor that if he wants to have success like he did in 2016, he'll need the "The Pastor of Pain" and offers his hand. Taylor shakes it, Coleman tells Ali that at Best in the World, it'll be Coast 2 Coast vs. Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor.

Backstage we have a sit-down interview with Alex Shelley, talking about the title shot and how it is his destiny. Cody interrupts the promo and tells the cameraman that they should be focusing on him. Not the challenger, Cody has been the champion for half a year straight and minus a small stumble nearly a whole year yet he isn't getting the attention he deserves. At Best In The World, he'll prove that.

In the main event, our third bout in the Honor Series, Jay Lethal introduces his partner as NJPW regular, Jay White. Low-Ki introduces his partner as former ROH TV champ, Silas Young. The announce team reminds us that this is a standard tag match, but the winning team will get the win for Low-Ki or Lethal, meaning Low-Ki or Lethal doesn't even have to be pinned. Sure enough, Low-Ki takes advantage as he makes Jay White tap out to the Dragon Clutch to take a 2-1 overall lead. He announces post-match that next week, in the fourth bout, it'll be a Falls Count Anywhere match.

ROH TV, June 2018 Week 4

ROHWrestling.com Exclusive: Tom Lawlor tapped out Scorpio Sky

The show went on the air with SoCal Uncensored 2.0 in the ring demanding to know who the third member of Chris Sabin and Hanson's odd-fellow team would be. Sabin and Hanson make their entrances... and then War Machine's music hits again as Raymond Rowe, out for the last six weeks steps back onto the stage. The announcers say that Rowe had a tricep injury, but here he is, stepping up for his partner and giving War Machine + Chris Sabin, a legitimate shot at the title.

In the opening bout The Young Bucks defeated the tag division's punching bag, The Dawgs. Post bout the Briscoes ran down and started to swing on the Young Bucks but Matt and Nick got the upper-hand and ran them out of the ring. At Best In The World, The Young Bucks will face The Briscoes for the ROH Tag Titles.

Will Ospreay won his tune-up bout defeating Vinny Marseglia in a surprisingly solid bout. Ospreay will be facing Marty Scurll for his TV Title at Best In The World.

Backstage, Matt Taven, with Odinson, comes upon Dalton Castle. Castle appears to be getting ready for a match. Taven tells him he better not go out there, or he'll risk another melt-down... he better save it for Best In The World, because Odinson is going to END Dalton Castle there.

We move down the hallway and we see Cody and Brandi Rhodes in their dressing room, with their respective titles. Cody discusses the Best In The World main event, where he'll face Alex Shelley with his ROH World Championship on the line. He finishes that off with a statement that set-up another bout. As champion of Ring of Honor he can do virtually whatever he pleases, so tonight he's booking a match... At Best In The World, The Women of Honor will have a 10-woman over the top battle-royal to determine who will face his wife for her title at a later date.

In the main event, and fourth bout of the Honor Series, Jay Lethal defeated Low-Ki in a Falls Count Anywhere bout. The fight went all about the arena but finished square in the middle of the ring, with Jay Lethal hitting the Lethal Injection and getting the win to even the series. The fans were frustrated these two men have faced each other so many times in the last month, but the match itself was solid. Post-match, Jay Lethal said that at Best in the World the fifth and final bout in this Honor Series will be contested under rules near and dear to his heart. They will be contested, for the first time in twelve years, under rules that made names like Danielson, Joe, McGuinness and... Lethal famous. They will be contested under Pure Wrestling rules.

Ian Riccaboni then reminded the audience of the rules as we went off the air:

1) Each wrestler has three rope breaks to stop submission holds and pinfalls during the match. After a wrestler exhausts his rope breaks, submission and pin attempts under the ropes by the opponent are considered legal.

2) There are no closed-fist punches to the face allowed in a Pure match, only open-handed slaps or chops to the face are allowed. Punches to other parts of the body (save for low blows) are permitted. The first use of a closed fist would get a warning, and the second would cause the wrestler to be penalized a rope break. If he is already out of rope breaks, he would be disqualified.

3) A wrestler is subject to a twenty count by the referee if the wrestler goes to the floor.

Ring of Honor: Best In The World PPV Preview

Fresh off the War of the Worlds tour, Alex Shelley challenged Cody for the ROH World Title. Hanson took exception to Shelley's immediate challenge and this led to Cody setting up a #1 Contendership Bout which Alex Shelley won. By the end of the bout Shelley and Hanson had earned each-others respect.

That mutual respect became a story that came full circle when Hanson offered to team with Shelley's partner, Chris Sabin and challenge for the 6-Man Tag Titles, held by SoCal Uncensored 2.0. Their third partner will be Hanson's War Machine teammate, Ray Rowe, who missed the last 6 weeks with a tricep injury but will return to the ring at Best In The World.

The Briscoe Brothers and The Young Bucks are arguably the two most well-known "Independent" tag teams in the world. The two teams have even faced off a ton in Japan over the last six months, but at Best In The World these two teams will go at it for the first time under the new booking direction of Ring of Honor. Jay and Mark have shown a ruthless streak that has cut-down everyone in their way, and Nick and Matt better be prepared, or they will become just another victim in the Sandy Fork vs. Everyone saga.

"The Villain" Marty Scurll took a bit of time to soul-search in mid-March, but he returned determined to taste gold once again, at War of the Worlds he captured the TV Title from Kenny King, making him a two-time champion. After the victory though he was promptly challenged by his long-time rival, Will Ospreay. The same man whom Scurll defeated to become the television champion for the first time over a year ago. This time at Best In The World, it will be personal.

During the War of the Worlds tour, original Ring of Honor World Champion, Low-Ki made a shocking return to Ring of Honor. He was immediately thrust back into a feud with long-time rival Jay Lethal, that led to the first ever "Honor Series" a best of five series to determine the better man. After four back and forth bouts the two men are tied at two victories a piece. The fifth and final bout will be held under a set of rules that were around during Low-Ki's first run, and represent the first title Jay Lethal ever held in Ring of Honor. Pure Rules. Limited rope breaks, 20-counts, no closed fists, just Pure Wrestling. Something both men are stars at.

After weeks of rejection, the self-proclaimed "Pastor of Pain" Caprice Coleman finally found someone who would listen to him, Shane Taylor. Now that Coleman and Taylor are teamed up, Coleman has set out to take vengeance on those who wronged him, starting with Shaheem Ali, and his partner Leon St. Giovanni, Coast 2 Coast.

Over the last few months, former Ring of Honor World Champion, Dalton Castle has been taking each loss harder and harder, to the point that he is now acting like a small child who lost his favorite toy after each loss. Matt Taven seems to take great joy in this fact and has been poking the bear over the last few weeks. At Best In The World, Dalton Castle will face Matt Taven's new associate, 2018 Top Prospect Tournament winner, Odinson. Will Castle get a much needed win, or will Odinson send him plunging deeper into the black-hole of losses.

Last but not least, Brandi Rhodes is our first-ever Women of Honor champion. But for the last six months the division has been rather lifeless. Cody set out to change that and using his power as Ring of Honor World Champion set-up a Battle Royal, at Best In The World, Brandi will get to sit back and watch as 10-women will face-off in an over-the-top battle royal to determine who the #1 contender will be.

Quick Picks for Best In The World:

Quick comments:

This set of predictions will conclude the second session of picks. Post-PPV I will PM the winner his prize (hint: it will involve the upcoming Chris Jericho Rager at Sea Pay-Per-View), I will also update the overall standings for the end of the year cumulative prize.

The repetition penalty really sucked the life out of the main event in Week 4, I fear for what it will do to the bout on the PPV, but oh well.

Cary Silkin, the CEO, is tinkering with our product and forcing us to adjust some of the styles we book normally. It's a good challenge.

Trying hard to engage more of the lower card in the next few months. Some guys have been utter-flops, but I'm working on stories for them anyhow!

Thank you all for the support, nomination and votes in the Diary of the Month contest. Sincerely an honor to be even considered for it. There are some phenomenal diaries on this board and I'm glad to be a very small part of an awesome community. This is easily the most fun I've had with a brand.

Women of Honor 10-Woman Battle Royal: Maximum Mecca (Local Talent), Solo Darling, Mandy Leon, Scarlett Bourdeaux, Deonna Purrazzo, Priscilla Kelly, Kelly Klein, Faye Jackson, Jessie Brooks, Sumie Sakai.

I honestly have only heard of Scarlett and Mandy in real life and Mandy is mega hot so I shall go with her.

Dalton Castle w/ The Boys vs. Odinson w/ Matt Taven

You seem to be high on Odinson, while you do not seem all that interested in Dalton.

Tag Match: Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor vs. Coast 2 Coast

Honor Series, Fifth Match Series Tied 2-2, Pure Wrestling Rules: Jay Lethal vs Low-Ki

This is probably the toughest one to pick on the entire show. I could see either guy winning here but I am going to go with Ki just for the simple fact that he has only been back for a short time and he could use a big win in a feud.

ROH TV: Marty Scurll {C} vs. Will Ospreay

ROH 6-Man Tag: SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C} vs. War Machine and Chris Sabin

ROH Tag: Briscoe Brothers {C} vs. Young Bucks

ROH World: Alex Shelley vs. Cody {C}

Alex is more of a tag team guy, so I really cannot see him as the ROH Champion. Granted I said that about Jay Briscoe in real life and they gave him the title so what do I know.

The Exotic Goddess is one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen. Scarlett is right behind her in that regard. I think its them vs. the field here.

Love me some Shelley though. Tag team guy or not, Shelley and Sabin both can't avoid being at the top of the card in Indy games. They are just so damn talented. The kind of guys you want losing to your champion, they are perfect for it. :D

Dalton Castle w/ The Boys vs. Odinson w/ Matt Taven

Tag Match: Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor vs. Coast 2 Coast

Honor Series, Fifth Match Series Tied 2-2, Pure Wrestling Rules: Jay Lethal vs Low-Ki

ROH TV: Marty Scurll {C} vs. Will Ospreay

ROH 6-Man Tag: SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C} vs. War Machine and Chris Sabin

ROH Tag: Briscoe Brothers {C} vs. Young Bucks

ROH World: Alex Shelley vs. Cody {C}

I don't know anybody from that Battle Royal except Scarlett, so that's why I picked her. Castle tanking continues, I guess. Coleman and Taylor need a win to establish themselves, Jay picks up 5th match cause he's not a freelancer. Scurll didn't do much with the title yet, same could be said about SoCal Uncensored (although they've held the 6 man belts for a while now). Bucks lose with Cody retaining to revive that tension. Shame about the repetetive match penalty!

Ring of Honor: Best In The World Pay-Per-View

Ring of Honor Best In The World

Live on FITE.TV Pay-Per-View

Commentators: Ian Riccaboni and AJ Kirsch

In a ROHWrestling.com online pre-show exclusive Best Friends defeated The Dawgs.

The show kicks off with a hype video, highlighting the feuds and matches we will be seeing tonight. We kicked it backstage where Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are preparing in the locker room. Bobby Cruise, acting as the interviewer, asks them to discuss tonight. Before Shelley can start, Sabin jumps in and says that he and Alex have had a ton of success as a team, and they'll continue to have a ton of success as a team, but tonight is about achieving goals as wrestlers. Tonight, Chris Sabin will take out SoCal Uncensored 2.0 and of course, Alex Shelley will take out Cody. Shelley looks a little perplexed as to why Sabin cut him off, but begins to answer the question himself as well. He says tonight is about service time and service to a company. The Motor City Machine Guns have always been a strong tag-team and tonight they'll show they are just as strong when they aren't together.

Dalton Castle vs. Odinson

DJeshS8.jpgVS5wIQJMM.jpg

Our opening bout saw Odinson, accompanied to the ring by the annoying and whiny Matt Taven, take on Dalton Castle, accompanied by The Boys. The announcers highlighted both men and mentioned how Castle has been on such a down-turn of late and it's causing him to lash out at The Boys. This one went back and forth early with both men showing off their strength and getting a number of power moves on each-other. Ultimately though Dalton Castle fell to Odinson when Odinson hit a huge pounce and followed it with The End for the victory.

Odinson defeated Dalton Castle

Post-Match Odinson and Taven leave the ring, celebrating the victory while Dalton Castle begins to melt-down in the ring. There are tears forming in his eyes and he begins to pound the mat with anger. The Boys hesitantly jump into the ring and begin to fan Dalton. He jumps up and looks like he is going to throw The Boys out of the ring again but instead he asks for a microphone.

Dalton: "Boys....... I know that I have been hard on you recently. You see, these last few months have been hard on me too. And while tonight's loss is another set-back, I realized we all needed to step-back and smell the roses. So Boys... I bought you something." (He gestures to the ring girl and she pulls a piece of paper out of folder)... "Boys. You are going on a CRUISE. In order to be ready for this so-called, Rager at Sea, I got you both tickets to Miami so you can prepare my cabin and prepare for the best nights of your lives... See you next month."

With that Dalton Castle and The Boys left the ring, Castle still looking upset, but seemingly more upbeat.

The announcers state that ROHWrestling.com would be announcing all of the details for the Rager at Sea, exclusively online later this week.

Up next SoCal Uncensored 2.0 made their way down to the ring with the 6-man tag belts. The thrown together team of War Machine and Chris Sabin were out next.

As could be expected these guys knew each other well and the team of Sabin and War Machine demonstrated really solid chemistry throughout the early stages of the bout. They sent the boys from SoCal scrambling and things were looking golden for Sabin and War Machine. Hanson tagged Rowe in, they whipped Kazarian into the corner and both hit huge running sentons into his limp body. They set-up for Fallout and Hanson climbed to the top rope. As he climbed Chris Sabin tagged himself in. Hanson looked at Sabin confused but completed the move anyhow. Of course, rather than being able to get the pinfall, referee Todd Sinclair then escorted War Machine back into the corner and Sabin entered the ring and made the pinfall. 1-2---Kazarian kicked out. Sabin looks furious, but picks Kazarian up and goes for the Cradle Shock, Kazarian slides out, having fallen victim to the move many times in the past he had it well scouted. He forcefully shoves Sabin into his team's corner and tags out. Rocky Romero enters and immediately flies across the ring, knocking Rowe and Hanson to the ground. War Machine hop up, but rather than enter the ring just walk-out as SoCal Uncensored dominate Sabin and Daniels hits the BME for the 1-2-3 and title defense.

SoCal Uncensored 2.0 defeated War Machine and Chris Sabin to defend the ROH 6-Man Titles

Up on the ramp Hanson and Rowe shake their heads at Sabin, and look frustrated. The announcers replay the blind hot tag that Sabin made and how it likely cost his team the titles.

Pure Wrestling Rules

Honor Series

Series Tied 2-2

Jay Lethal vs. Low-Ki

JNvytgY.jpgVStQ0mLbb.jpg

The fifth and final installment in this feud would be contested under Ring of Honor's former "Pure" Wrestling rules. Ian Riccaboni ran down the rules as both men made their entrances:

Right off the bat Low-Ki strikes Jay Lethal in the face with a fist and is promptly warned. He doesn't seem remotely phased and Lethal almost immediately has some swelling above his eye. The two men clearly have no love-lost here and this one devolves rapidly into a chop-fest in the middle of the ring. Low-Ki ends the chopping with a swift kick to the knee, taking Lethal down to the ground. He quickly locks on a leg-lock and forces Lethal to the ropes where Lethal has to use a rope break to recoup. They tie up and again it turns into a chop-fest in the middle of the ring. Low-Ki goes for the kick but Lethal, sensing it was coming jumps in the air causing Low-Ki to swing and miss. Lethal took Low-Ki down and quickly locked in a similar leg-lock, forcing Low-Ki into a rope break. A mere three minutes into the match and both men are showing wounds and down to two rope-breaks. For the next few minutes both men exchange blows and maneuvers. Suddenly, Low-Ki punches Jay Lethal in the face with a closed fist again, costing him his second rope break. This seemed to infuriate Lethal who came flying back with vengeance and took Low-Ki down to the mat. He mounted him and immediately started open-fist slapping him across the face before closing his fist, and going to punch Low-Ki, but at the last second he opened his palm and caught him square again with the palm. Low-Ki rolled out of the ring and took his time to recover, allowing Paul Turner to get to 15 before returning. Low-Ki's break gave him a second wind and he took the fight back to Lethal, taking him down and hitting a Ki-Krusher near the ropes. Lethal managed to get a hand under the ropes and used his second rope break to break the count. Low-Ki immediately transitioned into the Final Four, elevated cloverleaf forcing Jay Lethal to the ropes again and costing him his final rope break. Low-Ki dragged Lethal back to the middle of the ring and began beating the living pulp out of him. He pushed Lethal's limp body to the ground, climbed the ropes and went for the Warriors Way (Double Foot Stomp). At the last second Lethal managed to roll out the ring. He hit the floor hard and Low-Ki merely climbed down from the turnbuckle as Paul Turner began the count.

Low-Ki bounces off Lethal a bit and Lethal's body recoils with the shock of the stomp. Lethal's foot is under the rope but with no rope break left that won't matter. Low-Ki, also exhausted, rolls back toward Lethal and makes the cover.

10-Woman Battle Royal

#1 Contendership for the Women of Honor title

After the highs of the Honor Series we cooled things down with the 10-woman battle royal. The Women of Honor needed a spark and champion Brandi Rhodes joins the commentary team for the over-the-top battle royal. The final four were Kelly Klein, "Bonesaw" Jesse Brooks, Scarlett Bourdeaux and Deonna Purrazzo. Klein and Brooks are both bigger physical girls and when they teamed up it looked like Purrazzo was toast. As she leaned against the ropes Klein and Brooks came charging but at the last second, Scarlett speared Purrazzo out of the way and Klein and Brooks flipped over the ropes leaving Deonna and Bourdeaux in the ring.

The Final Two

qtZgUKm.jpgLXJMyVT.jpg

Bourdeaux eliminated six of the first eight girls, but all that work appears to have taken a ton out of her as Deonna hits a drop toe-hold and then tosses her over the top rope giving Deonna the victory and #1 Contendership. But before she can celebrate Jesse Brooks re-entered the ring and hit a huge suplex on Purrazzo flipping her into the corner and leaving her limp in the ring.

Deonna Purrazzo won the Over-The-Top Woman of Honor battle royal to become the new #1 Contender

ROH Tag Titles

The Briscoes {C} vs. The Young Bucks

l8MTPbW.jpgQLxbVjg.jpgVS8378v4n.jpgNEHdvLg.jpg

These two teams are easily some of the best in the world and this match proved that. Right from the get-go it was clear this would be the best match Ring of Honor has seen in 2018. Back and forth it went with the standard Young Bucks hi-jinxs and Briscoes superior technical wrestling.

The Briscoes had an early advantage with Jay Briscoe hitting a big Sit-Out Neckbreaker,

But it wasn't enough to put away the Bucks who fought back:

SUPER KICK PARTY!

tenor.gif?itemid=5618023

But again the battle waged on, both teams beating each other left and right. The finishing sequence though was one for the ages. Nick Jackson went for a Superkick but Jay Briscoe blocked it, countered it into a Jay-Driller.

While Mark went up top and...

"The Pastor of Pain" Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor vs. Coast 2 Coast (Shaheem Ali and Leon St. Giovanni)

WEsjLkM.jpgz8LEixZ.jpgVSbakZQue.jpgIcE5XZh.jpg

Coming off the highs off that tag match the next match was bound to disappoint and boy did it ever. The newly formed team of Taylor and Coleman had some help in this one as "The Wild Horse" TK O'Ryan came down and dropped Shaheem Ali from the ring apron, allowing Taylor and Coleman to hit a devastating double-team that Ian Riccaboni called the 'Fall from Heaven', with Taylor hitting a press-slam and Coleman landing a huge Moonsault on LSG for the victory.

Post-Match, TK O'Ryan firmly cements his alliance with Taylor and Coleman as the three men beat down Coast 2 Coast

ROH Television Title

Marty Scurll {C} vs. Will Ospreay

NXdcx8x.jpgVSOkoebUA.jpg

These two men go back years and the rivalry has been heated for most it. Last year Marty Scurll defeated Will Ospreay mere days into his reign as TV Champion and this year Ospreay set out for some revenge. This one was an excellent bout for the get-go and both men showed why dirt sheets and bloggers have tabbed them both for big things. Ospreay's speed was countered by Scurll's moxie and both men knew everything that the other would send at him. Ospreay went for the OsCutter but Scurll caught him in mid-air and had a submission locked on but Ospreay managed to bridge out and kick Scurll square across the skull. Ospreay faked going for the OsCutter but instead hit a back heel kick square to the chest of Scurll, knocking him to a knee. But Scurll was back up quickly and the two exchanged some mat-work to the pleasure of the crowd... Scurll had the momentum and yelled "Chicken Wing" but Ospreay pushed him away, leading Scurll to go to history books and pull out a move we hadn't seen in a while, the Party's Over, backbreaker and then managed to lock in the Chicken Wing and defend his title.

Marty Scurll defeated Will Ospreay to defend the ROH TV Title

Post-Match: Scurll stood triumphantly over Ospreay with the title raised high above his head.

ROH World Title

Cody {C} vs. Alex Shelley

vHbt8iT.jpgVSxudhQ89.jpg

On almost any other day this match would have match-of-the-night, Cody and Alex Shelley had phenomenal chemistry and that was evident from the start of the bout. Brandi was at ringside to support her husband, and Chris Sabin was also at ringside, looking semi-disappointed but supporting Shelley nonetheless. Alex Shelley gave his all early and his recent lack of singles experience showed early as his stamina began waning. Cody took advantage and worked over Shelley's left side, softening him up for later in the bout. Back and forth we went with Shelley and Cody each getting big spots and the fans on the edge of the seats. As the match reached the climax Cody hit a Silver Spoon DDT but didn't cover Shelley, rather opting for the Nightmare Lock, but Shelley wiggled out and struck-back. He went for the Sliced Bread #2 but it was scouted and Cody pushed off sending Shelley to the floor. He landed hard on his already weakened left-side and immediately began favoring it. Back in the ring his early flurry that cost him so much energy came back to officially bite him as he was left exhausted and vulnerable and allowed Cody to pick him off move by move until forcing him to tap-out to the American Nightmare Lock.

Cody Defends the ROH World Title, defeating Alex Shelley

Brandi climbed into the ring and she and Cody celebrated another title defense as Alex Shelley was helped to his feet by Chris Sabin and the Machine Guns, both losers tonight, walked to the back, heads hung in disappointment.

Comments:

I felt the need to tell the Low-Ki/Lethal story out in greater detail than I might normal just because I think it was a unique series and though the ratings don't reflect it, I think that feud ending that way would be awesome and very on brand.

I'll be honest, I debated just firing all of the Women because they have no direction and with only an hour show I have a hard enough time fitting them into the show, they tend to be relegated to ROHWrestling.com (Pre-Show) exclusives, which I suppose is fairly accurate in reality. I also don't know most of the girls so I rely a lot on Youtube for some basic idea. I think the post-match beat-down will at least set-up a sort of storyline, though it'll be probably be primarily on the pre-show. Mandy Leon I knew but for the Battle Royal I honestly let the AI pick the results so I could develop some stories. Scarlett dominated, so that's positive. Deonna Purrazzo dates Marty Scurll IRL, so hey...

Coast 2 Coast, Leon St. Giovanni and Shaheem Ali are ROH DOJO grads who I thought were very vanilla watching them online but I saw them in person last month and was actually impressed with their athleticism. My original plan a few game months ago was for Ali to turn on LSG and go on a bit of a Heel run, but I need more faces so I kept them together.

Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor, well originally I was going to re-sign Coleman just to be a manager of Shaheem Ali, but then the owner blocked it because Coleman was too old.... then suddenly I got an email informing me the owner resigned Coleman and as a wrestler. So hey, I'll use him and give Shane Taylor and now TK O'Ryan something to do.

The Lariat: Welcome, I really could develop SoCal Uncensored 2.0 a bit better and frankly I don't love Trios titles, but I think they make it work.

Blodyxe: Castle's tanking continued indeed, but there is a pay-off coming. Plus The Boys got a vacation out of it.

Up-Next I'll post a mid-year review, and the details for the Chris Jericho Rager at Sea PPV coming up in the next month.

--------------------------------------

And now, as a bonus to our loyal Ring of Honor fans, we also wanted to highlight three names that were not listed on any list as potential breakouts in the second-half of 2018....

Ring of Honor Names To Watch For The Rest of 2018

2KV3jwq.jpgsIemKyp.jpgz8LEixZ.jpg

"Filthy" Tom Lawlor: Making his Ring of Honor debut at the Top Prospect Tournament, Tom Lawlor seemed destined to big things, but a surprise upset, followed by more controversy involving Senior Official Todd Sinclair left Lawlor looking for redemption. In March, following the return of Cary Silkin, Lawlor got his opportunity, and ultimately signed his Ring of Honor contract at the urging of his lawyer. Now as the calendar turns to July, Lawlor is bound for big things.

"The Octopus" Jonathan Gresham: The Octopus, the undersized Gresham has long been an indy-darling for his innovative, high-speed maneuvering and ability to lock a submission in at anytime. Believe it or not Gresham has secured more wins than losses in the last six months, though most have come during ROHWrestling.com exclusives. In the second half of 2018 we fully expect Gresham to break-out and achieve great things.

"The Pretty Boy Killer" Shane Taylor: The sleeper in this group is absolutely Shane Taylor. The 6'1" 350 pound Taylor seemed destined for big things in 2016 when he debuted with Keith Lee as the Pretty Boy Killers but after Lee's unexpected departure, Taylor languished for a bit. He aligned himself with Kenny King and Caprice Coleman in early 2017 at The Rebellion but again found himself without a unit when they were forced to disband a year ago. That all changed last month when "The Pastor of Pain" Caprice Coleman reconnected with Taylor and at Best In The World, Taylor picked up his first televised victory in months. Now the Pretty Boy Killer promises to destroy all who stand in his way.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before we went live <strong>Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong> and <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> defeated <strong>TK O'Ryan and Shane Taylor</strong>. Post-match <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> announced he and <strong>Woods</strong> were a team, <strong>Good Burger</strong>!</p><p> </p><p> As we went live, <strong>Cody and Brandi Rhodes</strong> made an immediate appearance. <strong>Cody</strong> discussed his successful title defense, and how he is the greatest Ring of Honor World Champion ever. He says that at the Sea of Honor he will put the title up again, but more importantly his smoking hot wife will defend her title against <strong>Deonna Purrazzo</strong>. Deonna comes out and interrupts, saying that <strong>Brandi</strong> should speak for herself and that at Sea of Honor there will be a new Women in Charge, and her name is <strong>Deonna Purrazzo</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Our first bout was a Sea of Honor Tournament qualifier. <strong>The Best Friends</strong> fought each other with <strong>Beretta</strong> defeating <strong>Chuckie T</strong> to earn the opportunity. The match was what you'd expect out of the partners, many hugs, pauses and high-fives, but ultimately they did fight a good clean bout. Post-match they hugged and celebrated as if they both won... It was a bit strange.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> is seen backstage, sipping martinis and getting ready for a match. When they see the cameraman they cut a promo saying that tonight <strong>Daniels</strong> will qualify for the Sea of Honor tournament by winning the Main Event, and next week <strong>Kazarian</strong> will get his spot as well.</p><p> </p><p> In another Sea of Honor qualifying bout <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> defeated <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>. Post-match, <strong>BJ Whitmer, Priscilla Kelly and Damien</strong> proclaimed that the Sea of Honor tournament will be theirs and <strong>Damien</strong> will cleanse the seas of everyone.</p><p> </p><p> We got a video recapping the Best In The World PPV, it highlighted the <strong>Briscoes vs. Young Bucks</strong> bout in particular and said it tore the roof off.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, and another Sea of Honor Qualifier, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> defeated <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong>. Daniels age is beginning to show a bit in singles contests, but Ospreay really shined and demonstrated why he is a future star.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>ROH TV, July Week 2</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="duArS7O.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/duArS7O.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> Pre-show in a Women of Honor bout: <strong>Deonna Purrazzo, Scarlett Bourdeaux and Mandy Leon</strong> defeated <strong>Brandi Rhodes, Kelly Klein and Jessie Brooks</strong>. Brandi refused to tag-in and this was basically a 3-on-2 handicap bout. <strong>Deonna</strong> seemed frustrated with being on the pre-show and phoned in her performance here.</p><p> </p><p> The show kicked off with the newly formed<strong> Good Burger</strong> team (Josh "The Goods" Woods and Cheeseburger) defeating <strong>Tough Guy Inc.</strong></p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> cuts a promo saying the last month and half he battled <strong>Low-Ki</strong> in the Honor Series and his victory in that series proves that he is not only ready, but capable of defeating anyone in the world. At Sea of Honor he'll defeat three men, and win the right to fight for the World Title.</p><p> </p><p> In a quick squash <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> made <em>Local Talent</em>, <strong>DeSean Pratt</strong> tap out immediately following the bell. </p><p> </p><p> Backstage <strong>The Hung Bucks</strong> are seen talking, they announce that <strong>Hangman Page</strong> will get the opportunity to qualify for the Sea of Honor tournament on their behalf next week!</p><p> </p><p> In a Sea of Honor qualifier that fell flat, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> defeated <strong>Frankie Kazarian</strong>. The <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> team has now gone 0-2 in their attempts to qualify for the tournament.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage the Tag Champion <strong>Briscoes</strong> determine that <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> will get the opportunity to qualify for the tournament.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <strong>Hanson</strong> defeated <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong>. This was a solid, though not spectacular, bout between two tag-team specialists. <strong>Hanson</strong> got the win and certainly will put War Machine back in the picture for a tag title shot in the future.</p><p> </p><p> The show ended with <strong>Cody</strong> coming out and saying that he was still waiting for a challenger for the main event of Sea of Honor. He was cut off by a cryptic video...</p><p> </p><p> <iframe width="280" height="130" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/S14HIjz7_dU?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/S14HIjz7_dU?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0"</a> frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------------------</p><p> Couple Notes: </p><p> </p><p> Our CEO Cary Silkin has requested we put one Technical Masterclass bout on per show and we are struggling to find the right place for these bouts.</p><p> </p><p> My top stars are primarily tag guys, and with this tournament being a one-off I didn't want it to just feature tag guys so I decided that with the exception of SoCal Uncensored having two shots at qualifying and The Best Friends facing each other to qualify, all my other primary teams (Briscoes, Hung Bucks, War Machine, MCMG) would determine one of the partners to attempt to qualify.</p><p> </p><p> The next post (likely in a couple days) will be Week 3 and 4 of TV, building to the Sea of Honor tournament. So far we know, Hanson, Low-Ki, Will Ospreay, Jay Lethal, Damien "Punishment" Martinez and Beretta are qualified.</p><p> </p><p> Two more qualifiers to go!</p><p> </p><p> Plus, I think the Main Event for Sea of Honor is clear now ;-)</p>
