In a shocking blow <strong>Brooks</strong> proceeds to obliterate <strong>Deonna Purrazzo</strong>. <strong>Purrazzo</strong> is scheduled to face <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong> at the <em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rager at Sea</span></em> but after this match and subsequent post-match beatdown there was speculation by the announcers that <strong>Purrazzo</strong> wouldn't be able to compete, but <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong> came out and immediately told <strong>Purrazzo</strong> that regardless of any injuries she may have just suffered, she will have to compete at the pay-per-view. Brandi is learning to play the chicken heel well, and Purrazzo mailed in a match last week, so I think this was a good way to build them both. </p><p> </p><p> In a Sea of Honor qualifier, <strong>Chris Sabi</strong>n defeated <strong>Hangman Page</strong>, the match disappointed, but <strong>Sabin and Shelley</strong> celebrated together post-match and the MCMG looked to be positioned for another big opportunity.</p><p> </p><p> In the second Sea of Honor qualifier of the evening, <strong>Kenny King</strong> defeated <strong>Dalton Castle</strong>. <strong>Castle</strong>, as has become commonplace, started to throw a post-match tantrum, but with The Boys off preparing for the cruise Castle had no one to take it out on and suddenly he began doing some deep-breathing and appeared to be able to calm himself down... so naturally <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> came out to the ring and taunted <strong>Castle</strong> calling him a loser and unfit for a world class cruise...</p><p> </p><p> In our shows main match, <strong>The Briscoe Brothers</strong> defended Tag Titles in a shockingly phenomenal match against <strong>The Dawgs</strong>. <strong>Jay and Mark</strong> are truly putting on unbelievable performances week-in and week-out as a team, but don't be surprised if they have success as singles competitors down the road.</p><p> </p><p> As the match ended and the ring cleared the fans started to file out, but <strong>Cody</strong>'s music interrupted the exodus. <strong>Cody</strong> came out and demanded that whoever it was who interrupted him last week, and his has his suspicions, needs to come out right now... <em>Judas by Fozzy</em> plays as <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> makes his shocking debut in <span style="color:#FF0000;">Ring of Honor</span>. He tells <strong>Cody</strong> that the <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>Rager at Sea</em></span> won't just be the greatest cruise in the world, it'll be the place where <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> becomes the <em>Ring of Honor World Champion</em> and next week, they'll sign the contract making it official.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV, July Week 4</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="NTuShQI.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NTuShQI.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> Pre-show in a ROHWrestling.com exclusive, <strong>The Young Bucks and TV Champion, Marty Scurll</strong> defeated<strong> Shane Mercer, Myron Reed and Trey Miguel</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> In the television opener we had a Fatal-Four-Way featuring four of our qualifiers for the Sea of Honor tournament held on the Norwegian Jade cruise ship, live on Pay-Per-View for <em>Chris Jericho's Rager at Sea</em>. <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> defeated <strong>Kenny King, Will Ospreay and Beretta</strong> when he pinned <strong>Kenny King</strong> after a Lethal Injection.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> came out to the ring and demanded that <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> come out and explain why they were making fun of a vulnerable man. He said that he didn't have his <strong>Boys</strong>. But at the <em>Rager at Sea</em>, <strong>The Boys</strong> will be back, oh and <strong>Dalton</strong> has been doing some Yoga recently to find his mojo again, so he's challenging <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> to a 6-man Tag Title bout at Rager at Sea. <strong>Daniels, Kazarian and Romero</strong> appear and happily accept the challenge, they say they'll be partying with the Rockstars on the cruise, but they will absolutely make time to see <strong>Castle</strong> cry again when he loses once again... <strong>Dalton</strong> laughs and says: Oh... he has one final surprise, he's gotten the boards approval for a <strong>Special Referee</strong>.......</p><p> </p><p> IT'S <strong>D</strong>...........<strong>D</strong>..........<strong>P</strong>...........</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BANG!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Low-Ki</strong> defeated <strong>Vinny Marseglia</strong> in a relatively quick match. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> post-match was greeted by his first-round opponent, <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong>. <strong>Martinez</strong> towers over <strong>Low-Ki</strong> but <strong>Low-Ki</strong> doesn't back down. This one will be a brawl.</p><p> </p><p> In the television main event <strong>War Machine</strong> defeated <strong>Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor</strong>. Post-Match <strong>Sabin and Shelley</strong> both appeared and <strong>Sabin</strong> said that he'll certainly have his partner in his corner at Sea of Honor and he expects <strong>Rowe</strong> to do the same for <strong>Hanson</strong>, but he says that in the end it'll be the best man who stands tall and that'll be <strong>Chris Sabin</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> We return back from break for the big contract signing involving <strong>Cody and Chris Jericho. Cary Silkin</strong> proudly tells both men that this Main Event will be one of the best Main Event's in Ring of Honor history. <strong>Jericho</strong> stops <strong>Silkin</strong> and tells him to zip-it. This is his cruise, this is his contract. He tells <strong>Cody</strong> that <em>Jericho's Rager at Sea</em> will absolutely be a raging party, and it'll be a raging party that ends with <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> becoming the first man ever to win a <em>World Championship</em> on a cruise ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean...and that will be AHHHHMAAAYYYYZING. <strong>Jericho</strong> scribbles his name on the contract and tosses it at <strong>Cody</strong>. <strong>Cody</strong>, who has sat silently for the first few minutes, stands up and gets in <strong>Jericho</strong>'s face. He tells him that he's the greatest Ring of Honor champion ever at even if it is <strong>Jericho</strong>'s cruise, all the Jericholics will be lost at sea when The Greatest Second-Generation Professional Wrestler ever stands above the prone body of their fallen idol. <strong>Jericho</strong> suddenly strikes <strong>Cody</strong> and immediately hits the Codebreaker leaving <strong>Cody</strong> out on the ground. <strong>Jericho</strong> stands tall above <strong>Cody</strong> with the ROH title held high as we go off the air.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Ring of Honor and Chris Jericho Present: The Rager at Sea Pay-Per-View Preview</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Last Summer, <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> and <strong>Ring of Honor</strong> announced an unprecedented partnership to produce the Sea of Honor tournament during Chris Jericho's first annual Rager at Sea, the ultimate blend of Comedy, Live Podcasts, Concerts and the World's Best Wrestling. As the pay-per-view inched closer <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> announced that as part of the contract with Ring of Honor he was challenging for the Ring of Honor World Championship at the Rager at Sea. Things came to a head in the final week of ROH TV before the pay-per-view when <strong>Jericho and Cody</strong> went nose-to-nose resulting in <strong>Cody</strong> being left prone on the mat.</p><p> </p><p> The Rager at Sea will also feature the <em>Sea of Honor tournament</em> to determine the #1 Contender for the Ring of Honor World Title. Over the last month there have been multiple qualifying bouts and now with the 8-men determined the tournament bracket can be fully revealed:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ZVqC5bl.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZVqC5bl.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> As you can see there will be some great bouts in the first round, but in order to win the tournament the winner will have to win three bouts in one night. I'm using the Podcasts as a way to build future shows or build things during the PPV. I'd thought about doing some other things with some of the legends, but ultimately I think the tournament and podcasts concept just works better. DDP as a special guest referee is the exception, but I think it fits.</p>

Not the biggest Ospreay fan, but a win here could really solidify him. Also wanted to go with Castle and The Boys since Castle could use the win; plus, having DDP as the ref means SoCal's cheating should be negated. I dont think Castle willhold it for long, but a brief glimmer of hope might be more effective than continual losing.

Very curious to see what happens with Sabin. Been a big fan of his since his his TNA run.

It would be cool to see Y2J as ROH champ, but I think that's not happening. Plus Cody would benefit greatly from the win, and the rating should be good too. I actually think it's the right time to break the streak of Dalton...

They also jointly laughed at the fact that <strong>Heath Slater</strong> was the current US Champion and lamented that <strong>Rusev</strong> lost the World Heavyweight title to <strong>Dolph Ziggler</strong> in late April saying that <strong>Rusev</strong> had built the momentum necessary to sustain a great run only to have it pried from his hands. They mentioned that the new ownership has now been fully in-charge for nearly a year and the results are a product that people are enjoying. <strong>Callis</strong> went as far as saying he felt like it was challenging <em>New Japan</em> as the second-most popular company in the world. They mentioned that the companies decision to push <strong>James Storm</strong> as the Global Heavyweight champion has paid dividends and said that his current feud with <strong>Eddie Edwards</strong> was making for compelling TV. They also took time to highlight the tag champions, The Saints of the Damned, <strong>Johnny Impact and Sonjay Dutt</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> As for <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">New Japan</span></strong> they said they loved the company and continual focus on the in-ring aspects, but <strong>Storm and Callis</strong> both did question the decision to push <strong>Hiroshi Tanahashi</strong> as the figurehead saying they felt that <strong>Okada and Naito</strong> both were better "faces" of the company than <strong>Tanahashi,</strong> though not willing to take anything away from Tana. In fact <strong>Naito</strong> won the IWGP World title at Wrestle Kingdom from <strong>Okada</strong>. <strong>Okada</strong> proceeded to end the year-long IWGP Intercontinental title reign of <strong>Tanahashi</strong> last month only to see <strong>Tanahashi</strong> win it back earlier this month. They were both excited for the upcoming G1 Climax, which will take place next month, and speculated that with the <strong>Ring of Honor, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, Revolution Pro Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling</strong>'s upcoming War of the Worlds tour coming up that ROH might send a big-name to participate in the <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">G1!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> The final company they highlighted is the number one Lucha Libre brand in the world and the Mexican partner of Ring of Honor, <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre</span></strong> (CMLL). Knowing that CMLL will be participating in the three show War of the World's tour next month Callis and Storm highlighted some of the names having big success down there. <strong>Titan</strong>, a young high-flier who participated with Ring of Honor last year, has continued to have a strong year, winning the CMLL World Middleweight title in July. The former Sin Cara in WWE, now known as <strong>Caristico</strong> was also highlighted. They also took time to highlight the young, raging bull, <strong>Gran Guerrero</strong>, and speculated that he might make an appearance next month. They also mentioned that <strong>Matt Taven and Odinson</strong> spent the month of July in Mexico and brought some destructive force to CMLL.</p><p> </p><p> They were then joined by <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> who spent the beginning of his segment reliving the glory days with <strong>Lance Storm</strong> when they teamed as the Thrill Seekers. <strong>Jericho</strong> then got serious and said that <strong>Cody</strong>'s time as Ring of Honor champion would soon be over. The fans went nuts, and <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> came out to a huge applause. The applause only got louder when the Guest Referee: <strong>Diamond Dallas Page</strong> made his entrance.</p><p> </p><p> The bout itself was a solid one, <strong>The Boys</strong> are by no means on the same level but the sell extremely well and actually provided some offense. When the going got rough, <strong>Dalton</strong> suddenly began channeling some of his new found yoga and this resulted in a brief comedy bit with <strong>DDP and Dalton</strong> doing some <strong>DDP Yoga</strong> moves in the ring. <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> wanted nothing to do with this and <strong>Daniels</strong> knocked <strong>Castle</strong> out of his downward dog position and began laying into him. <strong>DDP</strong> then scolded <strong>Daniels</strong> and warned him that he'd feel the bang if he continued to toy with a man's inner-zen. <strong>Castle</strong>, some expecting a melt-down, seemed motivated to impress <strong>DDP</strong> and took matters into his own hands. Suddenly he was throwing moves left and right, including an impressive Deadlift Suplex. <strong>Rocky Romero</strong>, sensing a potential defeat grabbed his title and slid into the ring while <strong>DDP</strong> was busy with <strong>Kazarian</strong> in the corner and clocked <strong>Brent Tate</strong>, AKA Boy #1. Thankfully for <strong>Brent</strong>, his identical twin brother <strong>Brandon</strong>, rolled him out of the ring... sensing something was amiss <strong>DDP</strong> turned around and went to ringside to talk with <strong>The Boys</strong>. This again allowed <strong>Romero</strong> to take advantage, clocking <strong>Castle</strong> with the belt and preventing further damage to <strong>Daniels</strong>. As <strong>DDP</strong> got the story from <strong>The Boys, Romero, Daniels and Kazarian</strong> worked over <strong>Castle</strong>. Hanson and Low-Ki were both injured in their first round matches... yay tournaments. Neither will miss much time but in severely impacted their second round matches. Jericho underperformed in the ring and in his three appearances with me. I'm curious if it there was some drinking issue there, or simply old age, but that was definitely disappointing.</p><p> </p><p> I seriously debated making Dalton Castle use his CHIKARA Ashley Remington character (Boat Captain) for this show and moving forward, but opted against it. I like the direction and I think this will open up some things for everyone.</p><p> </p><p> Definitely disappointed with the show ratings as a whole. The Podcast segments really boosted us up though. Foley and The Briscoes (B+) for example. Konnan and The Young Bucks/Scurll (B-).</p><p> </p><p> Glad people seemed to agree it was a good time for Dalton to get a win... I'm hoping he and The Boys will keep improving in-ring as champs.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>TheLariat</strong>: I'm a pretty big Sabin fan too, but I struggle a bit with a character for him. He and Shelley might have some tension, so let's see where that goes ;-).</p><p> </p><p> I'm with you <strong>TFC</strong>, the WrestleKingdom match really made me remember why I used to love (and love to hate) Jericho. I even went back and pulled up some of his early WCW and SMW stuff (it is gold if anyone with the network needs something to watch). Unfortunately he just didn't perform well here. Which sucked. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>BHK1978</strong>: I actually really did debate making it a Low-Ki vs. Lethal final, but knowing I'd get dinged for repeat match (again) opted against it. And then I got "lucky" that Low-Ki got hurt.</p><p> </p><p> With August around the corner I have only one TV show before we hit the next batch of the War of the Worlds (without distribution in the UK I'm thinking I'll host it in America/Canada as I would draw maybe 300 people otherwise... but that's still up in the air mentally). This segment of the War of the Worlds will feature NJPW, RPW and CMLL superstars and will be two televised shows and one PPV. The build-up for it will begin in the next posts. This one is smaller that the May set and the October set, but it's always fun to bring some fresh names in. Tentatively I'm planning to bring in three RPW guys, four/five NJPW and two/three CMLL guys. </p><p> </p><p> I will say that this tour will bring some of the Lower Midcard/Midcard guys into the story better than the May tour did (in my opinion).</p><p> </p><p> I hope the Killing The Town Podcast Segment helped shine some light into what's going on in the big three/four companies around the world... Been relatively boring around the world so far.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Feel free to suggest some names if there is anyone your interested in seeing.</span></strong></p>

<p>That Killing The Town recap about the various company seemed like a literary acid trip. Rusev's promising World Title run getting cut short by Dolph Ziggler in 2018, whatta time to be alive.</p><p> </p><p>

Seeing Dalton bring back the Ashley Remington gimmick just for one night would've been really cool, but at least he's seemingly back on track. Seems like I've been picking him every time to win during his losing streak, so it's nice for that to finally pay off <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Excellent use of the legends, excellent use of the mid-card, younger guys and excellent cruise show. Keep it up!</p>

Great write up for a fun show. Boat captain idea is great, but I don't know how you could pull it off for one night in the game? I hoped Y2J would really help you gain some popularity with that potentially sweet ME rating, but oh well. Natalya and Naomi coming over would be huge for your division, let's see where it goes.

With this tour they are sending three guys, including one American, who will be making their televised Ring of Honor debuts.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="bCNbTka.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bCNbTka.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="VWCYo9X.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VWCYo9X.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The 26-year olds, <strong>Brookes and Lykos</strong> burst onto the scene in late 2016 as a tag team specialists the Calamari Catch Kings. Together they've held tag titles all over Europe, and even with Combat Zone Wrestling, so these guys will be a familiar face to diehards in the Tristate area. <strong>Brookes</strong> even has experience teaming with Ring of Honor's <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in Germany's WXW.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Matt Riddle</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="FVtMGBd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FVtMGBd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The Super King of Bros, <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> burst onto the scene in 2008 on The Ultimate Fighter 7, after leaving the UFC, <strong>Riddle</strong> turned his attention to professional wrestling. Over the last few years <strong>Riddle</strong> has been named Wrestling Observer's Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Wrestler. Now the Indy Darling joins Ring of Honor for the War of the Worlds tour.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre</span></strong> </p><p> The dominant force in Lucha Libre and a strong partner with Ring of Honor for a number of years. This year he's bringing one of CMLL's best with him...</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Rush</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="ZT7zw0m.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZT7zw0m.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> One of the most hated men in recent CMLL history, <strong>Rush</strong> brings his scalp-taking and rule-breaking tour to Ring of Honor. 2014 saw <strong>Rush</strong> launch a stable that is now a worldwide phenomenon, <em>Los Ingobernables</em>. Shockingly, <strong>Rush</strong> hasn't made much of a mark in America, making only sporadic appearances for small companies in Atlanta and Nashville. With this tour, all of America will see what the rest of the world already knows, <strong>Rush</strong> is one of the worlds best and most ruthless talents.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">New Japan Pro Wrestling</span></strong></p><p> Our strongest partner, NJPW once again sends us three of its best talents. This time with a unique tie-in to one of our other competitors. <em>Los Ingobernables de Japon</em>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Tetsuya Naito</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="EpaJlLo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EpaJlLo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is joining us for another tour of duty. <strong>Naito</strong> has continued his dominance this summer, including a potential match of the year against Kojima at Best of the Super Juniors. After a big non-title victory over <strong>Cody</strong> in May, <strong>Naito</strong> is back, does he have his eyes on the ROH title? Or other plans?</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">EVIL and SANADA</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="HgRgJK9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HgRgJK9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xPZldyT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xPZldyT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Everything is <strong>EVIL</strong>. A veteran of Ring of Honor dating back to his excursions in 2014-2015, <strong>EVIL</strong> and partner <strong>SANADA</strong> held the IWGP Tag Titles until last week when they were upset by Roppongi 3K. Out for revenge, we expect the coming weeks to be messy for whomever crosses the path of the <strong>"Cold Skull" SANADA and EVIL</strong>. Despite the disappointment of losing the tag titles, <strong>SANADA</strong> has had some individual success recently, finishing as the runner-up in the G1 Climax earlier this month.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

With only one week of television before the next session of War of the Worlds, we looked to build some storylines during this show. Once again we were hampered by the CEO's new request to make sure there is a Technical Masterclass bout on each show... seriously Cary.</p><p> </p><p> We took to the air with the winner of the Sea of Honor tournament <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> coming to the ring. He mentioned his successful month and his conquest of <strong>Low-Ki</strong> the month prior. He said he wasn't waiting to cash in his prize, he wants <strong>Cody</strong> at War of the Worlds later this month. <strong>Cody</strong> comes out and cuts a promo about how <strong>Lethal</strong> has climbed the mountain, but he'll fall right back down it. In three weeks time, they'll do battle.</p><p> </p><p> Our first televised bout of August saw <strong>Odinson and Matt Taven</strong>, fresh off a month with CMLL, annihilate <strong>Good Burger</strong> (Cheeseburger and Josh "The Goods" Woods). <strong>Odinson and Woods</strong> had a brief power exchange, but outside of that this one was one-sided.</p><p> </p><p> Post-match <strong>Taven</strong> tells the audience how he and <strong>Odinson</strong> dominated Mexico for the entire month of July, and that CMLL would be afraid to send any true challengers over to face them, but that the Mexican promotion should be afraid because <em>"The End"</em> is near.</p><p> </p><p> We then swung it to an 10-man tag that saw <strong>The Dawgs, TK O'Ryan + Shane Taylor and Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> defeat <strong>Jay White, Coast 2 Coast and the Motor City Machine Guns</strong>. The finish came when <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> tagged in <strong>Shaheem Ali</strong> instead of <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> and <strong>Ali</strong> ultimately was beaten down by <strong>Martinez</strong>. Post-match <strong>Shelley and Sabin</strong> argued a bit, but seemed to have everything resolved as they left.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> was out next, he faced <em>Local Talent</em> <strong>Raphael King</strong>, and made him tap out in under two minutes. </p><p> </p><p> We were shown a hype video hyping <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> and his recent performances. The announcers put him over as a big threat to the roster.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong>, flanked by <strong>Rocky Romero and Frankie Kazarian</strong>, defeated <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in a match that really fell flat. Post-match, <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> antagonized <strong>Gresham</strong>, but ultimately didn't beat him down, saying he was a loser with no real friends.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> defended his Television Title against <strong>Silas Young</strong>. <strong>Young</strong> has been languishing in the lower mid card for last few months and a poor performance here likely won't help him.</p><p> </p><p> Next week the War of the Worlds (CMLL, NJPW, RPW) tour begins!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------</p><p> With the next set of a War of the Worlds tour upon us, I'll post the cards for the two televised shows in the upcoming post. If your curious who is participating check-out the post above this one. </p><p> </p><p> We just suffered a big injury to one of our workers while he was working for another promotion and that is forcing me to rethink some bouts, but that's a big perk of this game!</p>

There are obviously some storylines tied into these matches and other angles that will play into the PPV. So this is a solid build-up in my mind. With the War of the Worlds Tours there is an effort to build-up both our product and our partners, keep that in mind when predicting.</p><p> </p><p> These ten matches will make up the second predictions for the third session. This "session" will end with our September PPV; Death Before Dishonor.</p>

While Doctors haven't confirmed the severity of the injury it is suspected that Mark will miss 6-8 weeks while recovering. The Briscoes were last seen on ROH programming proclaiming they were the best in the world and would go anywhere in the world for a fight, unfortunately it appears the fight took one out. Speaking for his brother,<strong> Jay Briscoe</strong> issued a statement saying that, this is only a minor set-back on the path to destiny. Everything remains the same, it is still Sandy Fork vs. Everybody and the Briscoes have no intention of just handing the titles over. In fact Jay promised that the brothers impact will still be felt this tour. What that means, we will just have to wait and see.</p><p> </p><p> We will see what Ring of Honor officials have to say, but we do know that they are currently scrambling to determine the best scenario for moving forward with the tag titles. Tune in to ROH TV and see what transpires next!</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> Small update here, definitely disappointing injury, but it actually will work out in the end as it gives us a new path for Death Before Dishonor. Had to make some modifications to the PPV card, but all things considered wasn't that bad. Should be posting the tv shows in the next day. I actually really like when the AI ruins plans, keeps you on your toes.</p>

<p>ROH TV Week 2 and Week 3, August 2018</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV August Week 2, 2018</span></span></strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="y7M8K2F.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y7M8K2F.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> Pre-show in a ROHWrestling.com exclusive, <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> introduced his friends, the <em>Calamari Catch Kings</em>, <strong>Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos</strong>. They teamed together to defeat <strong>Kenny King and The Dawgs</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Still on the pre-show and streaming live via ROHWrestling.com; <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> came out and mocked <strong>Gresham</strong>, saying that between the 5'3" guy (<strong>Gresham</strong>), the 6'4" 170 pound guy (<strong>Brookes</strong>), and the deranged dog (<strong>Lykos</strong>), <em>CCK</em> has the semblance of a normal team... And at the Pay-Per-View <em>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</em> gets back on track by bullying these school-children... But Until then, tune in...</p><p> </p><p> We went live on television with <strong>Daniels and Kazarian</strong> already in the ring. Their opponents were <strong>Rush and Tetsuya Naito</strong>. This bout was one of the best televised bouts we've seen and in the end <strong>Naito and Rush</strong> took home a victory, setting <strong>The Addiction</strong> back slightly.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> come out and challenge <strong>Tetsuya Naito and Rush</strong> to an 8-man tag main event for next week. It'll be the <strong>Young Bucks, Marty Scurll and Hangman Page vs. Tetsuya Naito, Rush, SANADA and EVIL</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> choked out <em>Enhancement Talent</em>, <strong>Rob Killjoy</strong> in one minute and thirty-eight seconds. While he was celebrating, <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> made an appearance and immediately told <strong>Lawlor</strong> he was a washed-up has been and the <em>King of Bros</em> was the biggest thing on the market... He then told <strong>Lawlor</strong> he guarenteed he could beat <strong>Killjoy</strong> in even less time. The bell rang and <strong>Riddle</strong> immediately locked in the Bromission. <strong>Killjoy</strong> tapped out within 15 seconds and <strong>Riddle</strong> clearly won the challenge. <strong>Riddle and Lawlor</strong> had a brief staredown as Riddle said he'd take down <strong>Lawlor</strong> at the War of the Worlds Pay-Per-View, and next week they'll sign the contract.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we get a weird promo with <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys</strong>. They see <strong>Kid Lykos</strong> in the locker-room and immediately begin discussing how wonderful his mask is and how they love "Dogs and Things"... It's a strange promo, very Dalton Castle-Esque, and in the end he says next week he'd like to defend his titles for the first time against this Dog-Boy and his friends. So next week it'll be <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys vs. Kid Lykos, Chris Brookes and Jonathan Gresham</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> In a lucha-libre style flip-fest, <strong>Titan</strong> defeated <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> in a bout that was fun and high-paced but otherwise uneventful. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> makes his way out to the ring and joins the commentary table for our main event. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>EVIL and SANADA</strong> take on <strong>Marty Scurll and Cody</strong> in the main event. The main event was a solid bout, though it wasn't quite on the same level as the opening bout today. <strong>EVIL and SANADA</strong> came out on top when <strong>Cody</strong> left the apron and got into a heated argument with <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> down at the announce table. While this happened <strong>Scurll</strong> was defeated by <strong>SANADA</strong> who forced him to tap to the Skull-End. Post-match the announcers speculated that <strong>SANADA</strong> would now have a legitimate shot at challenging <strong>Scurll</strong> for the Television title.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV August Week 3, 2018</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="3ynA4kD.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3ynA4kD.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> Pre-show, on the ROHWrestling.com War of the Worlds live stream, <strong>Jay and Mark Briscoe</strong> discuss <strong>Mark</strong>'s injury and the tag titles. They say ROH's executive office has told them they will need to defend the titles this month or they must vacate the title. <strong>Jay</strong> highlighted <em>Sandy Fork vs Everyone</em> never sleeps and that by any means necessary they will retain the titles.</p><p> </p><p> In the opening bout, <strong>War Machine</strong> defeated the <strong>Motor City Machine Guns</strong> in a very solid bout. Post-match, <strong>Chris Sabin</strong>'s frustrations boiled over as he shoved <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> squarely in the chest and screamed he had bigger things to do and walked out. <strong>Shelley</strong> looked confused, and the announcers speculated that we may have seen the last of the <strong>Motor City Machine Guns</strong>. We shall see. Meanwhile, <strong>War Machine</strong> seems to have positioned themselves as the top contender to the <strong>Briscoes</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Low-Ki</strong> comes down to the ring with a brace on his arm and says that at the <em>Rager at Sea</em> he proved that he was a better wrestler than <strong>Damien Martinez</strong>, but that <strong>Martinez</strong> cheap-shot post-match hyperextended his elbow. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> made it very clear that he doesn't take this post-match assault lightly and his doctor hasn't cleared him, but he doesn't care. At War of the Worlds he wants to face <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong>, and teach him what Punishment truly is.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Titan</strong> carried <strong>Vinny Marseglia</strong> to a solid high-paced bout. With the victory <strong>Titan</strong> went to 2-0 on the War of the Worlds tour and looked to be primed for bigger things... that bigger thing appeared to be <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> as <strong>Briscoe</strong> made his way down and beat-down <strong>Titan</strong>. <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> grabbed the microphone and said he knew that <strong>Titan</strong> was hot-stuff down in Mexico but Ring of Honor officials have backed <strong>The Briscoes</strong> into a corner, and <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> doesn't get backed into a corner. He told <strong>Titan</strong> that at War of the Worlds, <strong>Titan</strong> needed to find a partner, because <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> would be defending the Tag Titles 2 on 1... It's Sandy Fork vs. Everyone and that will never change. Jay Briscoe refuses to let ROH Officials force he and his brother into vacating the tag titles. And when he defends it in a handicapped match he'll prove he's still the best in Ring of Honor.</p><p> </p><p> In a very below average match, <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys</strong> defeated <strong>Kid Lykos, Chris Brookes and Jonathan Gresham</strong>. Castle and The Boys defended their titles for the first time and Gresham and friends looked disappointed. <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> made their way down again and once again made fun of <strong>Gresham</strong> and company, at War of the Worlds it'll be <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0 taking on Gresham, Lykos and Brookes</strong>. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> defeated <strong>"Tough" Tim Hughes</strong> in three minutes, tapping him out with the Bromission. <strong>Hughes</strong> gave it his all but stood no real chance against <strong>Riddle</strong>. Post-match, <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> came down to the ring and we had a good-old-fashioned UFC pose-down in the ring as <strong>Lawlor and Riddle</strong> signed a formal contract to face each other at War of the Worlds.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event: <strong>Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, EVIL and Rush</strong> defeated <strong>The Hung Bucks and Marty Scurll</strong>. This bout was a very very solid match which saw all eight men shine. The ending of the bout saw <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> hit the Meltzer Driver on <strong>EVIL</strong>, but <strong>Rush</strong> came in and hit an Exploder Suplex on <strong>Nick Jackson</strong>, followed by a release-German on <strong>Matt Jackson</strong>. <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong> hit Destino on <strong>Scurll</strong> and <strong>SANADA</strong> locked in the Skull-End on <strong>Hangman Page</strong> forcing him to tap as<strong> Los Ingobernables</strong> stood tall over the fallen <strong>Bullet Club</strong>.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Prediction Contest (Session Three, After Three of Five Events)</span></strong></p><p> Blodyxe: 9/10 + 8/10</p><p> TheFinalCountdown: 9/10 + 10/10 (Perfect Score)</p><p> DGenerationMC: 9/10 + 8/10</p><p> The Lariat: 7/10</p><p> BHK1978: 6/10 + 8/10</p><p> Kijar: 4/10 + 7/10</p><p> Powerbrock100: 7/10</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Comments:</strong></p><p> TFC with the perfect score, nicely done.</p><p> I have some plans for the guys you mentioned BHK1978 (Sabin and Gordon) and I think they'll begin to become clear at this PPV.</p><p> </p><p> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------</p>

<p>ROH, CMLL, NJPW and RPW Present: War of the Worlds August 2018 Preview</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;">ROH, CMLL, RPW and NJPW Present: War of the Worlds, August Week 3, 2018 CARD PREVIEW</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The Ring of Honor title will be defended as the winner of the Sea of Honor tournament, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> will challenge <strong>Cody</strong> for the ROH World title. <strong>Cody</strong> has been the reigning and defending ROH champion for all but two months in the last fourteen months. <strong>Lethal</strong> reigned supreme for 14 months from 2015 through 2016 but has struggled to reach that mountain-top again since losing the title. This bout is sure to be a barn-burner.</p><p> </p><p> Facing the risk of vacating the Ring of Honor Tag Titles due to <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong>'s ankle injury, brother <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> got creative and will be defending the titles solo as he challenged <strong>Titan</strong> and a mystery partner from CMLL. We can confirm now, exclusively that <strong>Titan</strong> has brought in 24-year old sensation, <strong>El Soberano Jr.</strong>, and this opportunity will be a phenomenal chance for the Lucha Libre sensations to take down the one-man army <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Ring of Honor Television champion <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> has had a rough few weeks during the tour, and now he'll face perhaps his toughest challenge yet. G1 Climax runner-up <strong>SANADA</strong>. <strong>SANADA</strong> has had a ton of success in Japan as a tag specialist, but his recent singles run has been propelling him to new heights. At War of the Worlds, he's got a chance to secure the ROH Television title.</p><p> </p><p> Following his first round victory at Sea of Honor against <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong>, <strong>Low-Ki </strong>was attacked by <strong>Martinez</strong> post-match, hyperextending his elbow. Though not cleared by Doctors, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> has challenged <strong>Martinez</strong> and will put his health on the line here at War of the Worlds.</p><p> </p><p> What happens when two former UFC stars transition to the wrestling ring? Well you get a feud that transcends sport. <strong>Matt Riddle and Tom Lawlor</strong> never met in the UFC, but tonight at War of the Worlds, the <strong>"King of Bros" Matt Riddle</strong> will take on <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> in what is sure to be a brawl.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Los Ingobernables de Japón</strong> may be well known among Indy Wrestling fans, but did you know that the stable was originally founded in CMLL by <strong>Rush</strong>. At War of the Worlds, <strong>Rush, Tetsuya Naito and EVIL</strong> will be taking on <strong>The Hung Bucks</strong>. <strong>Los Ingobernables</strong> have secured some major wins over the past few tours with Ring of Honor, including Naito pinning ROH Champion Cody, and this one will have a chance to continue to put them over the top. For <strong>The Hung Bucks</strong>, this is an opportunity to get back on track as a trio. <strong>Matt and Nick</strong> have had some good success this year as a tag-team but there have been some issues as a trio of late. With <strong>Hangman Page</strong> looking better than ever, is this the match they get back on track.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of trios, former ROH 6-Man Tag champions <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> have been taunting <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> for the last month. Gresham's friends, <strong>Kid Lykos and Chris Brookes</strong> have joined Ring of Honor from our partner Revolution Pro Wrestling. With this bout <strong>Gresham, Lykos and Brookes</strong> can score a major victory over ROH Legends. On the otherside, a win for <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> will certainly put them back on track to challenge <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Finally, we can exclusively announce that Ring of Honor officials have announced a five-team tag turmoil bout to name the new #1 Contenders for the tag titles. The bout will start with <span style="text-decoration:underline;">four-teams</span> in the ring in an elimination contest. Once that bout has been decided the winning team will get face the team that ROH Officials have given an advantage too, <strong>War Machine</strong>. The first four teams will be <strong>The Dawgs</strong> (<em>Will Ferrara and Rhett Titus</em>), <strong>Good Burger</strong> (<em>Josh Woods and Cheeseburger</em>), <strong>The Pastors of Pain</strong> (<em>Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor</em>) and the team of <strong>Matt Taven and Odinson</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH War of the Worlds Card</span></strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>ROH World: Cody {C} vs. Jay Lethal<br /></li><li>ROH Tag Titles, Handicapped: Jay Briscoe {C} vs. Titan and El Soberano Jr.<br /></li><li>ROH Television: Marty Scurll {C} vs. SANADA<br /></li><li>#1 Contendership Tag Turmoil: Caprice Coleman/Shane Taylor vs. Good Burger (Josh "The Goods" Woods and Cheeseburger) vs. Matt Taven/Odinson vs. The Dawgs<br /></li><li>#1 Contendership Tag Turmoil: War Machine vs. Winners of Tag Turmoil Four-Way <br /></li><li>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor vs. "The King of Bros" Matt Riddle<br /></li><li>Grudge Match: Damien "Punishment" Martinez vs. Low-Ki<br /></li><li>CCK (Jonathan Gresham, Kid Lykos and Chris Brookes) vs. SoCal Uncensored 2.0<br /></li><li>6-Man Tag Action: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Rush and EVIL) vs. The Hung Bucks<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

Even though this is a handicap match I still have to give Jay the nod.</p><p> </p><p>

You seem very high on Odinson and Matt Taven so I think they will probably win here. Though I would not mind Caprice and Shane getting the win here and I would not be shocked if they did.</p><p> </p><p>

#1 Contendership Tag Turmoil: <strong>War Machine</strong> vs. Winners of Tag Turmoil Four-Way</p><p> </p><p>

War Machine will wipe the floor with Taven and Odinson.</p><p>

</p><p><strong>

"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> vs. "The King of Bros" Matt Riddle</p><p> </p><p>

Two former MMA guys, this should be interesting. I am guessing that Matt is only here for the tour and so it makes sense for the permanent member of the roster to pick up the win here.</p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match: Damien "Punishment" Martinez vs. <strong>Low-Ki</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I keep on picking Ki to win and he keeps on losing. Therefore, this will probably be yet another loss for him.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>
