CZCW: A Second First Dynasty

Recommended Posts

This will be a continuation of the dynasty I started earlier this year. I had to put it on hold as my Mom bravely faced off against cancer, in a battle that she was sadly unable to win.

I could just revive the old thread, but I figure it will be easier to follow for any potential new readers, and easier to get back into for the old ones, if I just start fresh. What I'll be doing is reposting one show per day from the old thread until I catch up to where I left off, then just going from there.

I don't have a fancy story to tell as a setup for the dynasty, I just love CZCW and wanted to share my game with others. Also, this dynasty doesn't start at the beginning of the saved game. It starts at the point where I moved up to Cult, a little over three years into the save. This will allow for more cohesive storytelling, since I won't have to worry about losing top workers out of the blue.

Reposted from the original thread:

Note: After buying out MAW and NYCW, CZCW resigned from the Confederation of the Territories in November 2018. As a result a 2nd Main Event Level title, the CZCW American Championship, was added to "replace" the COTT World Title since I used the latter so extensively.

Champions:

CZCW Champion: "Mighty Fine" Darryl Devine

CZCW American Champion: Ernest Youngman

CZCW Tag Team Champions: Double Feature(Roderick Remus & Spencer Spade)

CZCW Pacific Champion: American Elemental II

CZCW Xtreme Champion: Jack Avatar

CZCW Tri-State Champion: Dean Waldorf

CZCW Television Champion: Ant Man

Events List:

January - Revolution

February - The Sam Keith Classic - Features Tag Team Tournament where winners get shot at tag titles, usually at the next PPV.

March - Surf Slam

April - Spring Break Bash

May- Welcome To The Coastal Zone - Wrestlemania equivalent

June - The Rip Chord Invitational - Features tournament where winner gets CZCW Championship match, usually at the next PPV.

July - Battle On The Beach

August - Wave Of Fury: The Coastal Rumble - Features Royal Rumble clone where winner gets CZCW Championship Ladder Match at the Reach For The Sky event the next month.

September - Reach For The Sky - Features CZCW Championship Ladder match and the "Golden Ticket" Ladder Match, a six-man Ladder Match where the winner gets a shot at the championship of his choosing within the next year.

October - Hardcore Halloween

November - Showdown At Sundown

December - Christmas Cage Chaos

TV Shows:

"A" Show - CZCW Coast To Coast

"B" Show - CZCW Uprising - I probably won't be doing a whole lot with this for the diary, but it will be used a few times.

Final Note: CZCW doesn't have a Face/Heel divide but wrestlers will still be booked as if it did.

Instead, he spent several minutes playing himself up to the crowd. He then climbed to the top rope to set up for a moonsault, taunting the crowd even more on the way up, completely oblivious to the fact that Caballero was coming to. Just as Ant Man's feet left the top turnbuckle, Caballero quickly rolled across the ring and back to his feet, just in time to get an up close view of Ant Man crashing spectacularly to the canvas. The constant barrage kept Avatar off balance and out of sync for much of the match, but sometimes a little luck is all you need. While Avatar was recovering outside the ring, Kamikaze missed his Reverse 450 Splash Finisher on Hurakan who then climbed to the top only to also miss his Senton Bomb finisher on Kamikaze. Avatar re-entered the ring just as Kamikaze was rising to his feet and hit him with his All American Slam Finisher (Olympic Slam) to pick up the win and retain his championship.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Jack Avatar</strong></p><p><strong> Match Rating: 82</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="BYsrha6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BYsrha6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">The Coastal Rumble</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Setup:</span></strong> A 30-man, timed entrance, over the top rope battle royal. As were Marv Statler and the young, but very talented American Elemental II, who himself had put in a respectable 20 minutes as entrant # 20. After a brief 3-way faceoff, Gauge and Smith begin to double-team Colossus. He isn't having any of it though, as he flings them away with relative ease. They get back to their feet and charge but he floors both men once more with a vicious double clothesline. Colossus then brings Gauge to his feet, lifts him over his head in a military press and starts towards the ropes. Gauge wiggles free though, and hits a beautiful standing dropkick that staggers Colossus toward the ropes. A second dropkick puts him against the ropes and Gauge charges in for a clothesline, only to be met with a big boot to the chest. However, Smith is back to his feet by this point and he hits a powerful clothesline that sends both himself and Colossus over the top rope, with Colossus being eliminated and Smith landing on the Apron. Next, Mitico hit his own finisher, the Northern Lights Suplex, but Devine kicked out of that as well. Mitico then sets up to use Devine's own finisher against him again, but Devine reverses it into a backdrop. Luckily for Mitico he's able to land on his feet. Unluckily for Mitico however, it was a short-lived moment of triumph as he turns around only to be met with a swift kick to the gut and a match-ending Devine Dream Drop. Your winner in 23:19 and still CZCW Champion, "Mighty Fine" Darryl Devine!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Darryl Devine</strong></p><p><strong> Match Rating: 99</strong></p></div></blockquote>

Malloy's at a distinct size disadvantage, but he shows no fear in going right after Colossus. It was a mistake on his part though, because Colossus tossed him around like a ragdoll for several minutes before Malloy could escape and make a tag to American Eagle II. American Eagle II would run into the same wall though and Colossus could have ended the match whenever he wanted. Instead, he tossed American Eagle II back into his own corner and dared Malloy to tag back in. Malloy does, but unlike last time, he's able to use his quickness and ring awareness to actually get in some offense. After a brief flurry of strikes, Malloy quickly ascended to the top turnbuckle, leapt off and nailed a textbook missle dropkick that finally took Colossus off his feet. Malloy went for the cover but it was broken up by Scythe. American Eagle II came in to go after Sycthe but he was floored with a towering Chokeslam. Malloy tried to avenge his partner but Scythe leveled him with a big boot for his trouble. Colossus is back to his feet by this point, but he's shockingly throttled by Scythe who delivers a ring-shaking Chokeslam to his partner! Scythe then briefly surveys the carnage before exiting the ring and heading to the locker room. A still dazed, and definitely confused, Marvel Malloy then crawls over and drapes an arm across Colossus for the 3 count!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: American Eagle II & Marvel Malloy</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 76</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YFYc5OT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YFYc5OT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45557" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="SYpJQeo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SYpJQeo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Akima Brave is in the ring after the commercial break with a microphone in hand, a very unusual site for the Samoan. People say he's over the hill and he thinks they are absolutely full of it! He finishes by saying that not only does he respect Akima and know that he's still a very capable competitor, he's also willing to help him prove it at Reach For The Sky. One on one, man to man, no BS! After Remus kicked out of Brown's finisher, The Star Treatment, Fire Fly wanted to tag in but Brown refused to make the tag insisting, "I've got this." Makutsi was on the receiving end of most of their offense but he managed to weather the storm long enough to make the tag to Gauge. Gauge fared much better than Makutsi and it looked like he might even win the match for his team when he locked in his patented Proton Lock (Sharpshooter) on Mitico. However, Mitico was able to pull himself close enough to his corner for Devine to tag himself in. Devine then broke up the hold and he and Gauge began to brawl. Devine won the exchange this time and managed to hit the Devine Dream Drop (Pedigree) on Gauge. Luckily for Gauge he was able to get a foot on the bottom rope, stopping the ref's count at nearly the last instant. Devine brought him back to his feet, but Gauge fought out and was able to make a tag to Makutsi, who still couldn't get the job done as he fell to a Devine Dream Drop just moments after re-entering the match. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winners: Darryl Devine & El Mitico Jr.</strong></p><p><strong> Match Grade: 92</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

YFYc5OT.jpg

Colossus will finally get the chance to get his hands on Scythe, and Ernest Youngman and Frantic Ali will get another shot at each other, as Youngman & Colossus team up to take on Ali & Scythe in a match that could certainly get out of hand in a hurry!

In their first match since being attacked by The Ring Generals, Double Feature will take on the team of Amazing Fire Fly & Kamikaze in non-title, tag team action.

The CZCW Pacific, Xtreme and Television Champions, American Elemental II, Jack Avatar and Felipe Caballero will team up in a 6-man tag team contest against their challengers for Reach For The Sky, Masked Stranger, California Love Machine and El Jaguar.

CZCW newcomer Fro Sure will make his Coast To Coast debut as he takes on the talented, young high-flyer Hurakan.

We'll also see some 8-man tag team action, as Marvel Malloy, Masked Cougar, American Eagle II and Masked Patriot go up against the team of Air Attack Weasel, Lenny Brown and the up and coming, young tag team The Pryce Is Wright(Prince Pryce & Robbie Wright.)

Finally, in the main event we'll see CZCW Champion Darryl Devine go 1 on 1 with powerhouse veteran Bulldozer Brandon Smith. CZCW: Coast To Coast

YFYc5OT.jpg

When: Monday, Week 1, September 2019

Where: Fresno, California

Attendance: 11,000

FFWO079.jpgVS.sBjbTEb.jpg

Spencer Spade vs. Dean Waldorf

Surprisingly, neither man's partner was present at ringside for this one. Unsurprisingly, only one team tried to take advantage of that fact, as a great match was interrupted by an interfering Marv Statler before it could reach it's proper conclusion. A vicious chair shot to the spine gave Spencer Spade the win by DQ at 15:44.

Winner: Spencer Spade by DQ

Match Grade: 86

As the referee called for the bell, Waldorf exited the ring and brought another chair into the mix. They placed the second chair under Spade's head and it looked like they were about to make a sandwich with the chairs, using Spade's head as the meat. Fortunately, Roderick Remus, who was noticeably limping, came to the rescue with steel chair in hand.

rKqJHUR.jpg

After The Ring Generals fled from the ring Remus asked for a mic. He explained his absence for the match by recounting how his knee was taken out from behind with a lead pipe by an "unknown" assailant backstage. He continued by saying even if it wasn't then, it's now painfully obvious that Statler was responsible the attack. He then told them that if it's a street fight they're looking for, then Double Feature would be happy to accommodate them, just 2 days from now at Reach For The Sky!

Next, we go to a video package that reveals the 6 men who will compete in the first ever Golden Ticket Ladder Match at Reach For The Sky, where the winner can challenge for the title of his choosing anytime and anywhere within 1 year. The competitors are Amazing Fire Fly, American Eagle II, Marvel Malloy, Hurakan, Kamikaze and Masked Cougar.

After the video, Mitch Naess announces that 2 of the men who will competing for the championship opportunity in the Golden Ticket Ladder Match at Reach For The Sky will face off next as Amazing Fire Fly takes on American Eagle II!

Amazing Fire Fly vs. American Eagle II

Lots of fast-paced action in this one as both men seemed determined to prove they deserved the opportunity at the Golden Ticket. Every time it seemed like Eagle had the upper hand and was about to put it away, the scrappy Fire Fly would fight back and hit a spectacular move or reversal to stem the tide. After an entertaining 12 minute battle, Eagle suddenly jumped out of the ring and started towards the locker room for seemingly no reason. Unfortunately for Fire Fly, that reason quickly became apparent as he turned to find himself face to waist with a fuming Colossus.

TmhzhK5.jpg

The staredown didn't last long as Colossus grabbed Fire Fly by the throat and lifted him high above the ring before tossing him over the top rope to the arena floor.

Winner: Amazing Fire Fly by DQ

Match Grade: 77

Colossus grabbed a mic, a rare and unexpected sight to say the least. He only spoke, well screamed, 7 words. "Scythe! Me, you, Reach For The Sky!

Suddenly the arena went dark. Seconds later the lights came back on and Scythe was in the ring with Colossus, who immediately charged the hooded figure.

kjFGbpZ.jpg

The arena went dark once more though, and when the lights came back on seconds later Scythe had vanished just as fast as he had appeared. As a confused Colossus circled the ring, Scythe's voice echoed throughout the arena, "Challenge accepted."

The Pryce Is Wright vs. Lassana Makutsi & Marvel Malloy

El Mitico is ringside to scout his Reach For The Sky opponent Lassana Makutsi. Makutsi looked better in this one than he had in recent weeks, but he still couldn't get anything consistent going due to constant dirty tactics from The Pryce Is Wright. They pulled hair, poked eyes, double-teamed while the ref wasn't looking and at one point even hit a low-blow on Malloy. El Mitico tried to alert the ref to what was going on, but that just led to more opportunities for Pryce and Wright to cheat. Finally, Mitico had seen enough and he thwarted yet another attempt to cheat by Wright, which distracted him long enough to be rolled up from behind and pinned by Makutsi while Pryce was pulled off the apron by Mitico.

Winners: Lassana Makutsi & Marvel Malloy

Match Grade: 84

Author's Note: Malloy and Makutsi had great chemistry so they will be teaming up more in the future.

Back from commercial break and the camera went quickly to the back where a full scale brawl had broken out between Frantic Ali and Ernest Youngman. Before they could be broken up both men were bleeding, Youngman from his arm and Ali from his head. Security, wrestlers and other backstage personnel who had seperated the 2 men could be heard discussing how it was Ali who had started it all when he blindsided Youngman with a kendo stick as he was leaving the building for the night.

Darryl Devine & Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs. Greg Gauge & Akima Brave

Another PPV worthy main event this week! All 4 men showed why they're some of the best in the business and there were a handful of close calls and near falls. Devine hit the Devine Dream Drop (Pedigree) on Brave, but he got his foot on the ropes. Gauge had the Proton Lock (Sharpshooter) cinched in on Bulldozer, but he was saved by Devine. Bulldozer hit his Tombstone Piledriver on Gauge, but Gauge kicked out. Brave hit his Samoan Suplex (Sleeper Suplex) on Devine, but the champ got a shoulder up at the last second. This match could have easily ended a number of times in the ring, but it would meet it's, well underwhelming, end outside the ring instead, as a brawling Brave and Smith were both counted ending the match in a draw.

Winners: Double Count Out/Draw

Match Grade: 90

After the match Brave and Smith brawled on the outside, and eventually out of sight to the backstage area, while Gauge and Devine came face to face on the inside. The 2 went nose to nose and just as it appeared they were about to come to blows, Gauge surprisingly stepped back and put his right hand forward looking for a shake. Devine was taken aback but eventually gave in and the 2 men shook hands as the show went off the air.
