Saturday, Week 4 November, 2017</strong></p><p><strong>

Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A cloaked man is dragging his feet around in some kind of dark temple setting. The figure produces the Piledriver title from inside the cloak and ceremoniously lays it on top of the altar, before its face is revealed as Scythe. The reigning Piledriver champion cuts a promo on the sacrifices needed to earn the title, hyping up the belt, himself and his main event match for tonight's show.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Cip Conduit vs "The West Coast Streetfighter" Carlos Barrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Conduit's return brings with it a much more muscular frame, making Piledriver Wrestling's resident wild brawler look almost on par with Logan Diaz. This change is also reflected in his in-ring style, now relying somewhat more on power moves and straightforward wrestling. Of course, that's not what made Barrera famous and the West Coast import brings the fight hard with both weapons and reckless aerial moves, pushing Cip to the limit until he gets caught in the middle of a suicide dive that Conduit turns into a piledriver onto the ringside floor thanks to his newfound power. From that point on it's all Conduit and Barrera never really recovers to get any offense going, after a while walking straight into a running big boot that takes him down for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Cip Conduit, by pinfall</strong></p><p>

<img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

"Red Hot" Laura Flame cuts a promo on her psychopath opponent tonight, the country strong "Farmer's Daughter" Ellie May Walton. Flame talks about how seriously she takes her scary opponent, but vows to defeat her and eventually reclaim the Piledriver Womens title from Quinzel.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

"Red Hot" Laura Flame vs "The Farmer's Daughter" Ellie May Walton</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Walton's mad hillbilly antics don't get the loudest of responses from the fans, but her intimidating presence and massive size do as she pummels Laura Flame to the mat. In a renewed attempt at gaining herself some heel heat, Walton leaves the ring to bully some fans for enjoying their free shrimp and calls out loud to the waiter for some "finger lickin' good" Kentucky Fried Chicken, a moment that allows Flame to recover and resume the fight. Once again, Walton throws her around like a rag doll and at least that seems to garner some sympathy for Flame, who is able to hit a Flame Fire Kick out of nowhere and steal the win in a surprise underdog moment.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Red Hot" Laura Flame, by pinfall</strong></p><p>

<img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Riley McManus cuts a promo on Xavi Ferrera next, saying they're both former Piledriver champions so he respects the hell out of him for his skill, but not his ethic and recent behavior. Tonight is not about him getting revenge, it's about teaching "The Athlete" a lesson in humility.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Riley McManus vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

An athletic competition between two highly skilled opponents, this one is only held back a bit by Ferrera's antics and disrespect towards McManus, highlighting both their characters and the clash between their philosophies. For all his grappling skill, Ferrera can't quite compete with McManus on that level and that gives Riley the advantage early on until Ferrera is able to take to the skies. In one of those moments, Ferrera looks like he's about to hit the High Impact Frog Splash off the top turnbuckle, but McManus recovers fast and picks him up as if to set a vertical suplex or peraps his own Slingshot Suplex finisher even. In the tangle-up though, Ferrera senses what's coming and sneakily rakes the eyes of McManus, who clumsily drops him to the mat. Settling for a quick running second rope moonsault, Ferrera covers up his opponent and gets the win, with McManus getting a shoulder up just a fraction of a second too late.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall after using underhanded tactics</strong></p><p>

<img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Despite his shady victory, Ferrera insists that his hand is raised and even gets on the mic to brag about himself, saying no one is on his level and he is willing to face all those who'd try to prove otherwise.</p><p>

Piledriver Womens title match</strong></p><p><strong>

Olivia "Rough"" Diamond vs "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel © (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Diamond is all fire in this match, but the valet-turned-manager-turned-wrestler just isn't on the same level as the champion, who has her way with her for the better part of the match, much to the delight of Sawyer who adds his insult to the injury Quinzel dishes out. It's not a squash match per se, but Diamond's offense is sporadic and ineffective, as opposed to the defending champion's vicious moves and excruciating submissions targeting the challenger's back to set up the Spinal Trauma finisher with which Quinzel is able to retain the title.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Mistress of the Backbreaker" Talia Quinzel, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Before leaving the ring, Quinzel gets on the mic to say she's beaten everyone there is to beat for her here, inlcuding Flame who spoke about her earlier tonight; either management brings in a new challenger for her or she's out.</p><p>

Piledriver title match</strong></p><p><strong>

Scythe © vs "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Despite minimal build up to the main event, long time Piledriver fans are pretty hot about it since Winchester has been kept just out of the title picture so long feuding with and sending off various people to establish himself as a credible competitor to challenge the former RIPW star. The wrestling itself isn't bad either, but for two physical brawlers like these, it could be a lot better too; Winchester's rough southern rumble approach seems a bit out of synch with Scythe's gimmickry, dramatic delivery and big power moves. It ends up being a contest as to which man will force the other to wrestle the style that suits them, with Winchester having a hard time to deliver his Neckbreaker finisher on the big man. More than once he goes for it without success, as opposed to the champion who only needs to hit a Chokeslam once to score the pin.</p><p>

He took his craft seriously and the foundation for it all was a solid training regime, one so intense even the stretching caused him to break a sweat. Avoiding injury alone was worth it, but given his particular style of shoot wrestling, he needed every limb and joint to be as nimble as possible. Outside the Piledriver School of Wrestling, the sun had already set for good a couple of hours ago already, though with all the Christmas lights on, the night was anything but dark.</p><p> </p><p> "Still here, huh?" he heard a female voice from the sidelines, followed by the unmistakable metal clinging of keys.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="ffi3NAo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ffi3NAo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> "I gotta say, you're pretty hard working for a guy who flew in from overseas for a one-night deal just so he could make the local guy look good" she added with a nod that implied genuine appreciation of his work ethic instead of mockery. At least that's what he thought. He never was good with people, let alone women. He trained alone, stayed alone, travelled alone. Now here she was, late at night in a wrestling ring, way past the borders of what he considered his personal space. Talia Quinzel. The Mistress of the Backbreaker. The AAA Cat's Lair graduate prospect. Reigning Piledriver Womens champion. The polar opposite of what his career had been so far. He'd moved to Germany in 2013 so he coud work with UEW but only lasted three years before they released him to wander the wasteland that is the indy circuit in Europe.</p><p> </p><p> "I take my job seriously" he almost snapped at her. "Plus I got some relatives back in Canada" he added immediately, almost in apology. "Figured it's a chance to fly there after the show and spend the holidays with them. Anyway, what are you doing here?" Talia smiled, spinning the keys around her index finger. She rarely had a chance to smile these days, being the promotion's main female heel champion. "Lee left me the keys to lock up the school. Raymond's back for the holidays, so he and Logan invited him to catch up over a few beers. I'm all done with my stuff, think you'll be long with yours?"</p><p> </p><p> Irwin looked around him. "I was hoping I'd have the time to practice as much as I can. Been almost two years since I last wrestled for a name promotion. Gotta shake off the ring rust" he said, adding an awkward smile at the end. "Is that so?" Quinzel said playfully as she hopped onto the ring apron. "I might be able to help with that, but on one condition: if I win, you'll wrap it up and leave this place already." Never one to shun away from a challenge, Gutmann got in the ring and stood face to face with her. He was probably a little bit heavier than her, but only because he was a guy. For a male wrestler, he was pretty skinny. Quinzel was six feet tall and full of muscle, almost going into monster heel territory for a female competitor. "Alright," he said "but if I win, I get to stay here for as much as I want. How about that?" Talia smiled again, this time the smile of the wrestler that smells a good challenge. "Well you just came in from nowhere, you can't expect me to hand over the keys to you and leave."</p><p> </p><p> Gutmann returned the smile. "In that case, you'll just have to stick around 'till I'm done". In an instant, he shot for her legs and took her down to the mat. Tall opponents were the easiest to throw off balance and he knew it all too well. To his surprise, instead of fighting the hold, Quinzel pulled him in for a front choke. "Poor me" she giggled, before planting a kiss on his lips and tapping his back. "I yield."</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46150" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Social Media highlights</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="5d458wG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5d458wG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="N8t3r2d.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N8t3r2d.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Piledriver Wrestling Presents</strong></p><p><strong> Violent Night 2017</strong></p><p> Saturday, Week 4 December, 2017</p><p> Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <strong>Piledriver title match</strong></p><p> Scythe © vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Co-Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Xavi Ferrera Open Challenge</span></p><p> "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs Austin "Easy Money" Smooth</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tag Team match</strong></p><p> "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester & Riley McManus vs Cip Conduit & "Killer" Carl Bernard</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Womens Triple Threat match</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner becomes #1 contender for the Piledriver Womens title</span></p><p> "Red Hot" Laura Flame vs Marie Punnen vs Nicole Pyle</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Submisson match</strong></p><p> "The Sandman" Jules Knight vs "The Ice Man" Irwin Gutmann</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opener</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Champion's Demand Handicap match</span></p><p> Olivia "Rough" Diamond vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly, "AAA's Own" Selina Svelte & "Ice Cold" Claire Winters</p></div><p></p><p></p>

The show kicks off with Lee Wright and Logan Diaz. The head trainer of Piledriver School says he met with his long time tag team partner Raymond Diaz, who is visiting the U.S. for the holiday and as a Christmas gift, will be giving his nephew Logan a chance at the title. Logan then cuts a promo to hype up the match, saying he doesn't want favourable treatment but only a chance prove himself, at which points the lights go out. When they come back on, Scythe is standing in front of him and holding the Piledriver title up high. The two wrestlers have an intense staredown, before Wright gets in the middle to break it up and tell them to save it for the match.</p><p>

Olivia "Rough" Diamond vs "No Gimmick Needed" Tamara McFly, "AAA's Own" Selina Svelte & "Ice Cold" Claire Winters (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The opening match is essentially about Diamond being sacrificed to Sawyer Sports Services, just so that Quinzel will agree to face the winner of the triple threat booked for later, since Piledriver Wrestling was unable to bring in some newly recruited challenger for her. The 3 on 1 setup helps garner sympathy for Diamond, who defiantly does her best against the three heels but just can't top the overwhelming odds, eventually tapping out to an armlock from Winters.</p><p>

Submisson match</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Sandman" Jules Knight vs "The Ice Man" Irwin Gutmann</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Not seen in action for a while, Knight returns to the ring against the debuting Gutmann and the stipulation is a match that can only end via submission, as both men are well known for their technical skill. Despite Gutmann's evident lack of charisma, his expressionless gimmick turns that into an asset and fans embrace the new 'stone cold submission expert' against the promotion's resident crooked cop. The two men trade holds back and forth in a match that wouldn't be out of place in Japan or Gutmann's former UEW employers, with Knight eventually besting the somewhat rusty Canadian to get the tap out.</p><p>

Womens Triple Threat #1 contender match</strong></p><p><strong>

"Red Hot" Laura Flame vs Marie Punnen vs Nicole Pyle</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

All three women shake hands before the match in a display of respect and friendly competition, earning the applause of the fans. High flying Pyle is off to a rough start, with martial artists Flame and Punnen chopping her down using vicious kicks. Pyle is dropped to her knees, setting herself up for stereo spinning kicks to her chest and back, a combo that takes her out of action to provide space for the other two ladies to fight it out. Delving straight into strong style territory, Flame and Punnen hit each other with their best shots, until a recovered Pyle slingshots herself back into the ring, catching Punnen for a tornado DDT. Unfortunately for her, she herself catches a Flame Fire Kick as she's getting back up and Laura Flame lands on top of her for the cover, earning herself a new chance to reclaim the Womens Piledriver title.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Red Hot" Laura Flame, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Grabbing a mic as she's celebrating her victory, Flame cuts a promo to warn Quinzel that this time, she won't lose.</p><p>

<strong>"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester & Riley McManus vs Cip Conduit & "Killer" Carl Bernard</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Straight from the opening bell, it becomes apparent this match is about skill versus strength. Conduit and Bernard are the larger team, an advantage they use to try and isolate their legal opponent. Both Winchester and McManus though have the wits, experience and skill to fight back, keeping the match on pretty even grounds and constantly messing up the heels' plans. This back and forth begins to frustrate the heel team, with Bernard flying into random bouts of reckless aggression, so bad it gets him warnings to calm down from not just the ref but also his partner who wants to avoid a DQ. Not that Bernard seems to pay much attention, especially after he's able to score a cut on the forehead of McManus; the sight of blood seems to send him into a new fit of rage, assaulting McManus so bad the ref is forced to throw the match.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester & Riley McManus</strong></p><p>

<img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Bernard is barely contained, but that's not the end of it for the faces. Making his big return from injury, "The Monster" Annihilus marches to the ring and unleashes his penned up aggression on the two men, completely destroying them to mark his dominant return to action.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera hits the ring and repeats his open challenge, saying no one on the roster is good enough to beat him. The music of Austin "Easy Money" Smooth plays in response and the man himself comes out with a mic to say he accepts the challenge.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

<strong>"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs Austin "Easy Money" Smooth</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The match kicks off with Smooth shooting for his opponent's legs and Ferrera leapfrogging over him to avoid it, a nod to his background as a decorated hurdler. This sets the tone of the match, with Ferrera trying to hit a fast pace and chain some quick athletic moves together, while Smooth attempts to grapple the man to the mat and contain him there for a methodical wear and tear approach. The two young stars put up quite the performance, but Ferrera wraps it up in a messy way when he catches Smooth with a snapmare to reverse the Smooth Hold, rolling over him into a pinning position with a handful of tights to keep him down for the count.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall with a handful of tights</strong></p><p>

<img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

After the match, Ferrera is off to a cocky celebration as he hits all four ringposts to pose, despite fans booing him. Xavi then gets on the mic to attack them for not recognizing his brilliance, just like the powers that be in this place; his open challenge still stands and he'll be waiting to find out if anyone else dares face him in the ring.</p><p>

Piledriver title match</strong></p><p><strong>

Scythe © vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Diaz is probably the largest opponent Scythe has faced so far and even though he's still the bigger man, the champion isn't having such an easy time bullying his opponent around the ring. Diaz uses this situation to his advantage, taking the fight to the champion through a combination of stiff strikes, hard slams and some wear-and-tear grappling. Once the initial surprise is gone though, Scythe puts the breaks and makes his comeback, levelling the playing field as he his a big lariat to take his opponent over the top rope.Logan's ability allows him to land on his feet at the apron, but Scythe only keeps the offense coming when he chokeslams him from there to the outside. The fight spills out at ringside and Diaz can only survive the blows after the way he was slammed to the floor initially, but a rush of adrenaline allows him to tackle his opponent and drive him back first onto the ring steps. Both competitors collapse to the ground and just as the ref reaches the count of 8, Scythe is able to reach up and grab the bottom rope to pull himself back into the ring just before 10.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Scythe, by countout</strong></p><p><strong>

Scythe makes defence number 2 of his Piledriver title</strong></p><p><strong>

Guess "welcome on board" still applies, as I'm only now aware of your presence here.</p><p> </p><p> P.S. Hope the write-up of that opening handicap match clarifies things for you. Quinzel wanted a new challenger to be brought in. Since that didn't happen and her new challenger would be determined in a 3 way match between Flame, Punnen and Pyle, she said she'd face the winner but only if her 3 friends had their way with Diamond first</p>

"The Texas Patriot" Buck Winchester vs "<strong>The Traitorous Turncoat" Freedom Eagle</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

I think we will see some sort of interference from the Sheik to get Freedom Eagle the victory and maybe work a short program with Buck.</p><p> </p><p>

Co-Main Event</p><p>

Piledriver School Graduate Clash</p><p>

"Frat Boy" Jonah Pilgrim vs <strong>"The Sandman" Jules Knight</strong></p><p>

Jules needs a win to get him some momentum started and Jonah, who I assume is in from MAW, can safely do the job and return to MAW with out it hurting him.</p><p> </p><p>

Womens match</p><p>

<strong>"AAA's Own" Selina Svelte</strong> vs Marie Punnen</p><p> </p><p>

Let's get Carl some momentum going and build him towards being a big time graduate from PDW. 2018 is the year of Carl!</p><p> </p><p>

Opening tag match</p><p>

<strong>Scythe & "The Monster" Annihilus </strong>vs The Heartbreak Express</p><p>

War for Territory #1

Sunday, Week 2 January, 2018

Live from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, FL

The Hearbreak Express vs Scythe & "The Monster" Annihilus (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar)

Opening the first ever War for Territory show are Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta of MAW, up against the monster duo of Scythe and Annihilus. The good looking babyface team get a lour reaction from the sold-out audience of 300 fans, a stark contrast to the menacing duo they are set to face. Scythe starts the match full of confidence, almost looking to win it single-handedly, but the Hearbreak Express show that tag teams are more than the sum of their parts when they work together to isolate the big man and wear him down in a surprise twist of odds and expectations. Fans are fired up from the action, until Scythe is able to power out of a tight spot and hot tag Annihilus, who storms the ring to clean house and pin Needham after almost rendering him unconscious with the Choke Grip.

Winners: Scythe & "The Monster" Annihilus, by pinfall

As the Heartbreak Express stumble out of the ring and Sheik Ali Al-Avatar ushers the monster backstage, Scythe stands alone in the middle of the ring. Lights dim and the Piledriver champion cuts a promo about Logan Diaz, saying the two of them are not done yet.

"Killer" Carl Bernard vs "The Underdog" Robin Newman

At just 5'7" and 180lbs, 4C's Robin Newman is the perfect David to Bernard's Goliath. The Killer looks more menacing than ever and may have even gained a few pounds of muscle since the last time he was in action, the icing on the cake that is this squash of a match that sees Bernard finally pull off his Kill Switch finisher to win it.

Winner: "Killer" Carl Bernard, by pinfall

Marie Punnen makes her entrance for the match next, followed by Selina Svelte. Before Svelte can get in the ring, "Playboy" Jake Sawyer grabs a mic to cut a promo on the Piledriver Womens champion Talia Quinzel and her upcoming match with Laura Flame. Svelte even gets to add a few words of her own at the end, before Punnen attacks her to kick off the match early.

Marie Punnen vs "AAA's own" Selina Svelte (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

Thanks to her surprise start, Punnen spends the early part of the match in control as she hammers Svelte with a wide array of kicks. Things turn around though when Svelte is able to block one and use the opening to gain limb control. After pulling the rookie Punnen to the mat, Svelte begins to work on her leg in order to keep her down and take away her offense. During one of those submission attempts, a desperate Punnen manages to grab Svelte's arm and tries to use her own finisher against her. The Prawn Armlock is applied poorly though and it looks as though Svelte is in severe pain, perhaps suffering from a dislocated shoulder or worse. Referee Alvin Lavin jumps in to force the break and after checking up on Svelte, deems her unable to continue due to injury.

Winner: Marie Punnen, by stoppage due to injury

"Frat Boy" Jonah Pilgrim vs "The Sandman" Jules Knight

The main narrative of this match is about crooked cop Jules Knight looking to punish audacious frat boy Pilgrim for his antics, but there's also another thing of note in this setup: Pilgrim too is a 2010 graduate of Piledriver Wrestling School, making this match somewhat of a clash between graduates of different years. Despite his pudgy looks, Pilgrim turns out to be a solid brawler with deceptively good cardio, qualities that frustrate Knight bad enough to hit Pilgrim with a chair while the ref is recovering from an accidental shot that caught him. Thing is, Knight gets carried away and forgets to dispose of the chair; instead, it looks like he's considering a few more shots when Alvin Lavin returns to the match to disqualify him.

Winner: "Frat Boy" Jonah Pilgrim, by disqualification

ejbjbKm.jpg

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester enters the ring next, mic in hand as he calls out the man who dares to wear the star-spangled mask and still call himself Freedom Eagle despite having displayed the most un-American behavior in NYCW.

ejbjbKm.jpgGIRKb76.jpgYAqqjQm.jpg

"The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester vs "The Traitorous Turncoat" Freedom Eagle

Straight from the opening bell, Freedom Eagle taunts the Texan Patriot but meets his offense wiht either cowardly retreats or sneaky tactics like his recent signature "Eagle Claw" eye rake. This quickly establishes him as the dastardly heel he is, in return making fans cheer for Winchester. This includes a "U-S-A! U-S-A!" chant, which is pretty confusing given that both wrestlers are American, but the match itself is pretty entertaining, with Winchester eventually overcoming the odds like any true American hero would to lay out his opponent with his Neckbreaker finisher.

Winner: "The Texan Patriot" Buck Winchester, by pinfall

[backstage, moments before the start of War for Territory #1]

I peeked behind the curtain once more. This was unbelievable. We were barely managing to draw three digit crowds by the tail end of 2017, but after our announcement about joining the Confederation? Word had spread, ticket sales had taken off and just like that, we had sold out the Rainbow Bar & Grill. For our first ever "B" show, even.

"Told you 2018 would be off the charts" I heard Lee's voice behind me. He too was glad with the situation. It was his idea to introduce War for Territory. Hopefully the rapid-fire shows would grow our fanbase fast enough to take us into the positives and help pay off the debt. Hopefully.
