Modern Warriors 3 (Real World Mod)

So my minor graphics update ended up with me updating the fight histories up through this weekend and making other tweaks. I called it Modern Warriors for old times sake, but this is an update of the work Macgowan and others did recently.

 

The only major changes are that I cut a bunch of promotions for balance reasons. All of the minor promotions with zero fighters signed are gone, and I closed to Golden Boy as they'll never consistently promote MMA (if they ever do another show at all). I also removed all of the celebrity fighters and Mayweather, as they'r never fighting MMA and the game can't really handle celebrities that large. (In my watchers, Mayweather winds up fighting on the undercard of a UFC on ESPN+ for like 100,000 bucks, which is lol)

 

I also added tons of new free pictures, including a lot Macgowan added in in Dynamo.

One more small suggestion for future modding:</p><p>

The base is too big, the easiest way to limit the number of characters is: remove the retired low (and mid) level regional fighters without the fights history + no significant(in MMA) personalities "not a fighter" like Trump...</p>

Many thanks for the update. Will try it out. To me the DB size isn't a problem and I wouldn't mind guys like Mayweather and celebrities being kept. But I can always add them myself. Many thanks for all the work.

Are you fighter pictures still all different backgrounds though?

 

Tag has said before (and I totally agree with him) that he prefers them all to be uniform and it looks FAR better with the cut pictures on the grey background that has been used for years.

 

Sure, some of the pics could do with updating but it's better that than all the pictures being on different backgrounds, settings, etc - to me anyway.

 

One thing that's always made me love Tag's mods are the fact they're realistic in the sense they don't have any un-needed Orgs or celebrity characters that aren't actually in MMA. Just a realistic replication the real world MMA without all the fantasy stuff that can be kept for seperate mods.

I've done cuts before and put them on to Tag's template and it can be time consuming for sure, but I think it looks good.

 

To be honest, I'd use almost any pic pack if it had the same type of image for everyone, which is which I currently use Tag's, I just like everything to be uniform - but like you say, it's personal preference.

The vast majority of the first UFC on ESPN+ card is impossible to book with the current popularity settings (and I have matchmaking skill at 10). Just a heads up.

I want to address that there is not Russia 2 TV anymore. Instead all the MMA is shown in Match Boyets /Матч Боёц/ where a lots of content is shown.
