<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Shimizu, while still a Young Lion, has some decent pop to start and has started off with a few losses.</p><p>

This is a chance to regain some momentum and give him a submission victory over another Young Lion.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Blast picks up the win here in an undercard six-man with a Young Lion on each team.</p><p>

Miyake & Katou have both shown well in action so far, proving to be two good signings to develop for the future.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Kita, as the only veteran BCG full-time roster member coming in on this tour, picks up the win in his debut.</p><p>

Kita debuted a new finishing move we haven't seen before, an explosive Muay Thai Knee, that should prove to serve him well in BCG.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Post-Match Interview</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

Kita is giving a short backstage interview to the camera thanking fans for welcoming him with open arms to BCG. He promises to give his best and hopes one day to become a champion here, just like he was in SAISHO.</p><p> </p><p>

Inejiro Yoshizawa & Noritoshi Miura come into the frame and Miura knocks the microphone off the table in front of Kita. Kita stands up to confront them as the two men work their way around the table.</p><p> </p><p>

Fujio Narahashi rushes into the shot and spins Yoshizawa around, telling him and Miura to lay off.</p><p> </p><p>

The two men exit slowly, letting Fujio & Kita know that they are the best tag team in BCG.</p><p> </p><p>

Fujio & Kita shake hands, turn to the camera, and say "Black Iron Corps is here"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshifusa Maeda | Kazu Yoshizawa</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Yoshifusa Maeda and Kazu Yoshizawa make their way to the ring as flowers are prepared for Pistol Pete Hall's Hall Of Fame induction ceremony.</p><p> </p><p>

They are joined in the ring by all of BCG's current champions as well.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="dSSxCn0.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dSSxCn0.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Rgn13kF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rgn13kF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="pu6roDq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pu6roDq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ZaPm4Dl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZaPm4Dl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>Bunrakuken Torii | Tanyu Toshusai | Toshinobu Taku | Yoshinaka Taku</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Maeda welcomes everyone to the event, and starts running through a list of Pistol Pete's accomplishments, including being the original BCG World Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

Maeda then invites Pistol Pete out to the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="mUx8aUr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mUx8aUr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>Pistol Pete Hall</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Hall thanks Maeda and the fans for the honor of joining the BCG Hall Of Fame. He speaks at length about how he loved his time in BCG and was proud to be the promotions first champion.</p><p> </p><p>

He talks about how he had some great battles with the members of Black Canvas.</p><p> </p><p>

Right on queue, one of Pete's greatest opponents makes his way out...</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="t6uGEuZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/t6uGEuZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>Funakoshi</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi stomps into the ring and get's right in Hall's face. These two had some absolute wars back in the day and Funakoshi was the one who took the BCG World Championship off of Pete in his initial reign.</p><p> </p><p>

The two men stare down one another as the tension mounts.</p><p> </p><p>

Suddenly, both men break into a big smile, seperate, and then share a giant hug.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi grabs a microphone and asks his old friend/enemy for a little help later that evening. Funakoshi would be honored to have Hall and Maeda help him name his opponent for BCG Lionheart, his 10th Anniversary Show.</p><p> </p><p>

Hall agrees. Maeda then presents Hall with his Hall Of Fame ring and plaque, as well as a bouquet of flowers.</p><p> </p><p>

Hall bows to all 4 sides of the ring and exits as the other 7 men in the ring applaud him for his contributions to BCG. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Greg Gauge</strong></p><p> </p><p>

It's Greg Gauge!!!</p><p> </p><p>

Gauge is a former GCG World Heavyweight Tag Team champion, winner of the 2015 Rip Chord Invitational, and current MAW Mid Atlantic Champion!</p><p> </p><p>

The trio make their way down to ringside to prepare for tonight's semi-main event.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> The last big steal (for now) from Modern Japan makes his debut! Gauge is a natural fit with his technical mastery and is paired with American Demolition here for... reasons.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Team Taku (Toshinobu Taku & Yoshinaka Taku) & Tanyu Toshusai vs. American Demolition (Big Bruiser Findlay & Bulldozer Brandon Smith) & Greg Gauge</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Result</strong></p><p>

<img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Greg Gauge was revealed as "X" and scored the submission victory over the current BCG Challengers Series champion in his debut.</p><p>

Yoshinaka Taku especially fought valiantly but the addition of Gauge and the violent chemistry of American Demolition was too much to overcome for the champions squad.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Dawnguard (Bunrakuken Torii & Razan Okamoto) vs. Funakoshi & Tsuneyo Yanagimoto</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Result</strong></p><p>

Tsuneyo Yanagimoto defeated Bunrakuken Torii in 24:38 by pinfall with a Mikado Bomb</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Dawnguard looked great, but Funakoshi & Yanagimoto displayed a natural chemistry to match their opponents.</p><p>

The closing stretch saw Dawnguard looking to set up a double team move on Yanagimoto, but Funakoshi intervened pushing Yanagimoto out of the way at the last second.</p><p>

Torii & Razan collided as Funakoshi sent Razan out of the ring.</p><p>

Back-to-back finishers (Butterfly Backbreaker from Funakoshi followed by a Mikado Bomb from Tsuneyo) proved too much for the current BCG World Champion to handle.</p><p>

Yanagimoto picks up the direct pinfall win over Torii in advance of their BCG World Championship match at BCG Heritage 2016.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Post Main Event</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi & Yanagimoto celebrate with the BCG fans after their victory.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi picks up the house mic and says he guesses it's time he name his opponent for BCG Lionheart, his 10th Anniversary show. He asks Pistol Pete Hall and Yoshifusa Maeda to come out and help him introduce his opponent.</p><p> </p><p>

After the two BCG legends are in the ring, Funakoshi begins talking about how he has been really impressed by all of BCG's roster, especially since this tour has began.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi sees a bright future in BCG and wants to give this unique opportunity to see if one particular competitor is ready to take the next step in his career.</p><p> </p><p>

He mentions that one man in particular has stood out as someone who could carry the spirit of BCG forward.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshinaka Taku</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Yoshinaka comes out to the ring, stunned that Funakoshi picked him.</p><p> </p><p>

Hall and Maeda shake his hand as Taku makes his way to Funakoshi.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi asks him if he is in for the match, to which Taku agrees and the two shake hands.</p><p> </p><p>

Hall and Maeda raise the two competitors hands and play to the crowd as the show fades out.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> A fun use of Pete at his Hall Of Fame show and gives us a main event for Funakoshi's 10th anniversary.</p><p>

We want to try and elevate young guys as we can and this gives Yoshinaka Taku his first "big" singles match to see how he stacks up to BCG's top tier.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Greg Gauge makes perfect sense in hindsight. Not only as a ex-GCG guy, but also because he's got MAW connections via his dad, and both Findlay and Smith came up through MAW. </p><p> </p><p>

Yoshinaka Taka as the choice of opposition also makes sense. I see that people look at him as a potential star, and therefore an easy choice to feed to Funakoshi.</p>

<p>Genuinely excited to see Greg Gauge in the company, and just because I picked him to be American Demolition's partner. He seems like the kind of competitor Maeda could get behind in his aggressive booking. I'm also extremely impressed by the match ratings you've gotten thus far. I've never considered such an approach to BCG before and its definitely one I'll try before too long.</p><p> </p><p>

With your match ratings in mind, I kinda want to hear about the best matches that have happened in your save thus far else where in the world. Japan is the region I'm most interested in, but all are an option if your competitors have been a little underwhelming since you stole their employees.</p>

I don't see a women's division per-se on the horizon, but not very likely.</p><p> </p><p> Our "war" with 5SSW is more of our general posture towards the Modern Japan movement in general at this time.</p><p> </p><p> That said, we aren't above a Joshi "offer" match if it makes sense at some point in the future, but the furthest I could see us going is something like Hana/ASUKA in W-1 where we have a few and they wrestle at a big show in an opener or something. I would probably need to wait for one of the other Joshi companies to spawn to be able to get a requisite number of matches to give them another place to work as they won't be wrestling at 5SSW.</p><p> </p><p> So, I don't see anything like a FMW-style women's division (which was one of my favorite parts of FMW back in the day. The lucha silliness they brought in was great too. Megumi Kudo was/is one of my favorites), but I could see us stretching to a W-1 style couple of workers depending on the game world as it progresses.</p><p> </p><p> Definitely not imminent or anything, but something that is in the "maybe" list for the future (depending on how long this save lasts before 2020 comes out).</p>

Match Card Announced For BCG RISE Vol. 1

cao2TwY.jpg

BCG today released the match card for BCG RISE Vol. 1.

RISE is an event that showcases the Young Lions in BCG and gives the fans a chance to see them in some high profile matches.

Yoshifusa Maeda commented that events like this are an essential part in becoming a better all-around wrestler and Young Lions getting a chance to team directly with some of the top guys in BCG should help everyone improve.

The main event will see Funakoshi team with BCG newcomer Azumamaro Kita against Razan Okamoto & Azumamaro Shimizu in a tag team match. Funakoshi and Okamoto have been at odds since the start of the tour and Funakoshi mentioned this is a chance to hone his skills before his 10th Anniversary Show, BCG Lionheart.

The semi-main event will be a preview of the BCG World Championship match at BCG Heritage 2016 and will see Tsuneyo Yanagimoto team with Gidayu Katou to take on Bunrakuken Torii & Motoyuki Miyake. Both Torii and Yanagimoto will be looking to build momentum heading into their title match. Katou and Miyake also mentioned they are looking forward to the opportunity to compete on a big stage for the fans in Shikoku.

A Special Six-Man Tag Team Match was also announced as American Demolition (Big Bruiser Findlay & Bulldozer Brandon Smith) will team with Greg Gauge against Yoshinaka Taku, Tanyu Toshusai, and Kadonomara Kamisaka. American Demolition have a BCG World Tag Team Championship match against Team Taku at BCG Heritage 2016 and Gauge and Tanyu have had some electric encounters since Gauge debuted as "X" at BCG Legacy.

The rest of the card features tag team matches with a Young Lion teaming with a veteran and should prove for some exciting match-ups.

BCG RISE Vol. 1 takes place at Niihama Athletic Field tomorrow night in Shikoku.

Join us at 17:00 for building opening and 18:00 for the gong!

Maeda Talks War with Modern Japan

ercVAgD.jpg

Yoshifusa Maeda

Yoshifusa Maeda recently talked with a local paper in Osaka about BCG's war with Modern Japan and the progress of the BCG Heritage Tour so far.

Maeda mentioned that he is happy with the progress of the tour so far, especially now that all of the BCG newcomers have debuted. He mentioned that he is very excited about their new class of Young Lions and singled out Gidayu Katou and Motoyuki Miyake as ones that have performed well so far. He also spoke with a rare excitement about the title matches scheduled for BCG Heritage 2016 and mentioned that more matches will be announced at a later date.

Maeda also spoke on BCG's ongoing war with Modern Japan, noting how he's already seen the MJM companies adjust to BCG's aggressive stance. He mentioned how it hurt to lose a talent like Sojuro Sen to GCG and how he sees bringing in Azumamaro Kita as a move to counter this and build up BCG's roster. He also noted how he has already noticed a difference in GCG's production values since the war began and mentioned that raising up BCG's production to match will be an essential piece going forward to bring BCG to prominence.

<strong>Yoshisada Matsuzawa vs. Nobuharu Yokokawa</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Two BCG Heritage Series Semifinal matches are set for the event. The first semifinal sees Yoshisada Matsuzawa take on Nobuharu Yokokawa. The two men have teamed together and faced off in various tag matches throughout the tour, with Matsuzawa scoring the latest win over Yokokawa's team at Night 8 of the BCG Heritage Tour. Can Matsuzawa keep the momentum rolling and book himself a spot at the Heritage Series finals at Heritage 2016? Or will Yokokawa rebound from the loss at night 8 and stamp his own ticket to the finals?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roku Sotomura vs. Rokuemon Matsushita</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The second Heritage Series semifinal has Roku Sotomura squaring off against Rokuemon Matsushita. Both have had great success on the tour so far, with Sotomura using his technical style to ground larger opponents and Matsushita using his overwhelming power and size to his advantage. It's a classic power versus technique matchup with a spot in the BCG Heritage Series Finals on the line.</p><p> </p><p>

In the first of two special tag team matches set for the card, Dawnguard (Bunrakuken Torii and Razan Okamoto) take on Tsuneyo Yanagimoto and Bulldozer Brandon Smith. This is the last big test between Torii and Yanagimoto before they square off for the BCG World Championship at BCG Heritage. Smith has a title opportunity of his own (BCG World Tag Team) and will look to show he stacks up with three of BCG's elite performers.</p><p> </p><p>

The other special tag team match pits Greg Gauge and Big Bruiser Findlay against Tanyu Toshusai and Toshinobu Taku. Findlay and Taku are also in that BCG World Tag Team title match mentioned above. Gauge and Toshusai have clashed a couple of times already in multi-man tags after Gauge debuted as "X" at BCG Legacy as well. Both "special" tag matches then serve as previews for title matches slated for BCG Heritage 2016.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi noted Taku's improvement over the past year and wanted to take the opportunity to "test" someone he sees potential in for his anniversary match.</p><p> </p><p>

Black Iron Corps, Blast Ikoma, and the rest of the Black Canvas roster will compete as well.</p><p> </p><p>
