New Years Eve, 2015

BCG Offices - Osaka, Japan

ercVAgD.jpgXlTE1IT.jpg

Yoshifusa Maeda | Kazu Yoshizawa

"Enough!" yelled Yoshifusa Maeda, the head of Black Canvas Grappling [bCG], as he slammed his fist down on the desk in his office.

Kazu Yoshizawa, his Head Booker, is seated across from him as they review the last month of shows from around Japan.

Kazu, “so we are sitting behind WLW, GCG, and 5SSW at the moment. With a little lead on Exodus, Warrior Engine, and Saisho.”

Maeda continues, "Enough of this! You and I were great adversaries, Kazu. My ultimate rival. What made us great is that we never settled to be anything but the best.

The 'Modern Japan Movement' [MJM] that Kajahara created is a black mark on our entire industry. Golden Canvas Grappling [GCG] may have brought us into this war by moving away from our traditions and going to a western schedule, but I will be damned if I will let them take down 55 years of Japanese tradition just to make some yen.

We will not sit idly by any longer. All of these sheep taking the easy road, unknowingly being lambs led to the slaughter of our ideals and traditions.

We have been at war with GCG for 5 years now, and haven't made any headway in showing the Japanese public the error of their ways. And how could we? Every promotion in Japan save for us & PGHW have moved to this ridiculous schedule. Even Burning Hammer!"

Kazu, "...so, what are we going to do about it?"

Maeda responds, "GCG is not enough. We need to take down the real problem here, Kazu. The Modern Japan Movement.

I no longer consider ourselves just at war with GCG. As of tomorrow morning, we will be declaring war against EVERYONE in this 'movement'.

We will bring them all down."

Maeda has a sick smile on his weathered face.

Kazu has seen that smile before. It’s the same smile Maeda wore when discussing bringing Black Canvas Grappling into existence in December 2011. It may have convinced him then, but Kazu is a bit worried his friend is off his rocker. Maybe it was those sake-bombs from earlier in the night...

Kazu, slowly, responds "You can't be serious Maeda-san. We are struggling to fight ONE promotion, and you want to take them ALL on?

Besides, these other promotions also have Juniors, Deathmatch, and Joshi workers. They aren't our competition.

GCG is the real problem here and what brought us together to create Black Canvas in the first place. To restore the glory of the 'Roaring Lion' tradition. We will not survive if we take them all on at once"

Maeda, "Our promotion is slowly dying here, Kazu. And you or I are not getting any younger. This atrocity of westernizing Puroresu needs to be stopped once and for all. If we want to restore the glory of the ‘Roaring Lion’, we have to take a final stand and end this madness.

Sure we could keep this going in our current state, but for how long? It’s only a matter of time before Burning Hammer joins the MJM. If they do, this will all have been in vain.

If we don’t end this now, before they join, there will be no Roaring Lion left to defend."

Maeda finishes with "Dead lions, Kazu, do not roar"

OOC: So, this is something I have been marinating on for a long, long time. I know we have Dark_Raider's excellent BCG diary on here (and I reached out to him before creating this one to make sure he is cool with it), but BCG is far and away my favorite CVerse promotion. It was the one that originally "hooked" me on TEW back in 2013 and I've always wanted to give it a proper "dynasty" run.

I am not sure how often or steady I will be updating, with WIRE and Real World Chronicles also in my to-do list, but as I work my way through with BCG I will be sharing it here. I will be starting with shows next week likely.

Special thanks to willr0ck for his great renders and shared love of BCG, the rest of the WIRE crew for their support and banter, Dark_Raider, and anyone so brave as to read my puro ramblings.

Enjoy!

Noritoshi Miura is best known as a tag team worker, being the regular partner of Inejiro Yoshizawa. They first came to fame as The Apocalypse Riders, a team that was created for a one-shot appearance in WLW that saw them wearing colourful face paint and spiked armour - Miura was called Spirit Of The Shark. They retained that gimmick for several years on the independent circuit, right up until they joined Black Canvas Grappling's initial roster. Realising that their gimmicky look would not go over well with the BCG audience they appeared under their real names and adopted patriotic Japanese outfits to get themselves noticed. They have become a fine, championship-winning tandem in BCG.</p><p> </p><p>

Greg Gauge is the son of the legendary Sam Keith and identical twin brother of Matthew (Gauge is the real family surname, "Keith" is a stage name - Greg has stated that he prefers to use his real name purely because the alliteration sounds better, and that his dad had no problem with that). Trained exclusively by their father, even at an early age both boys showed signs of his famously lightning fast, fluid technical wrestling. Greg got his first taste of fame in 2009 when he headed to Japan to work for GCG, where he fit in perfectly. In 2014 he debuted for his dad's MAW, appropriately debuting at the Sam Keith Classic, and now has a busy schedule working for both companies.</p><p> </p><p>

Brody was under a development deal with SWF between 2009 and 2012 but was eventually released and told to go and gain experience working the independent scene. In terms of in-ring skill, it is too early to tell how good he can become, but he is definitely an exciting talent to watch. He popped up in EX2010 in early 2013, although there was some confusion over his status within the company as his appearances were very sporadic to say the least. By the summer of 2014 it was confirmed that he was no longer on the roster - to this day, nobody is sure what really happened.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

"Stone Cold Killer" Konrad Mäkinen is a young Swedish wrestler who turned pro in late 2011 and was picked up by UEW just a year later after impressing on the independent scene. A hyper-athletic 230lber, Mäkinen is an incredible bumper but is perhaps slightly too melodramatic in his selling. With a good look, a natural coolness, and a strong work ethic, Mäkinen could be a big name one day and has certainly become one of UEW's fastest rising young stars.</p><p> </p><p>

Tobei Sugimura is a lightweight wrestler from Japan. When he first broke into the business (via the PGHW dojo) he was extremely skinny, sported bright blue hair, and most of the time was used as little more than an enhancement talent. Eventually realising that he was getting nowhere in a hurry, Sugimura went on hiatus throughout 2010 in order to regroup - when he returned he had increased his muscle mass substantially, shaved off his ridiculous hair, and had swapped his gaudy yellow trunks for black martial arts pants and painted-on symbols on his face and body. The new look worked, as he found work with EXODUS 2010 almost immediately. In 2015 he added SAISHO to his list of employers, showing how in demand he is.</p><p> </p><p>

A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep

- George R. R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

New Years Day - January 2016

BCG Offices - Osaka, Japan

Yoshifusa Maeda | Kazu Yoshizawa

Yoshizawa, "Well, that was...eventful"

Maeda, "What? I told you exactly what I planned on saying at the press conference"

Yoshizawa, "Yes, you did Maeda-san. Maybe I was hoping the sake from last night would wear off... You definitely didn't have to stretch that poor reporter though for asking a question."

Maeda, "Let me be completely clear. I was 100% serious when I said that the 'Modern Japan' movement is an affront to our existence and way of life. And that reporter, a little ice and rest and he’ll be fine"

Kazu, "I understand Yoshi, but to be so forward at a press conference... It's just not our way"

Maeda's phone is ringing on his desk.

Maeda, "Forget 'our way', Kazu. We have reacted for far too long. Our mere forming of this company was a reaction to what GCG did when they switched to a western schedule. It's time to make these sheep react to us.

To that end, here, take a look at this list"

Kazu, parsing the list, "OK, so this is a list of most of the current champions in the Modern Japan companies. What exactly is this?"

Maeda, "Our signing list"

Kazu, "Our WHAT?!?!"

Maeda, "You heard me correctly, Kazu. These are the people that we endeavor to sign"

Maeda's phone rings again.

Kazu, "Yoshi, I'm with you, you know that. But this isn't a wish list. It's madness. It would make Kikkawa’s iNSPIRE walkout look like a fun night in Rappongi.

This won't start a war we can win, it's a suicide mission"

Maeda, "What you call a suicide mission, I call our next move in bringing this monstrosity of Modern Japan down."

Kazu, "Literally every current SAISHO champion is on this list, Yoshi"

Maeda, "And... so what? These sheep have stole workers from us for the last 5 years. I hear they already have eyes on Razan, Tanyu, and some others. I'm tired of reacting. Let's ACT first for once."

A stream of texts starts vibrating Maeda's phone on the table, making it dance in a way that would make a geisha blush.

Kazu, "Ok, even if we wanted all of them, HOW?"

Maeda, "You'd be surprised. It's not like the old days today. Workers go where there is money to be had"

Kazu, "If we have any left..."

Maeda, "Let me worry about the finances Kazu, we have a tour to plan"

Kazu, "Alright Yoshi, just give me the names like always and we'll put a tour together"

Maeda's phone rings again, and drops to the floor. The name on the his phone reads "Mito Miwa".

Kazu, "Are you going to answer that?"

Maeda, "Answer what, Kazu? A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep."

<p>This level of aggression in a BCG game is very foreign to me, especially given I usually play a GCG that has the best players of BCG against a JCW run by Kudo. Dark Raider's strategy of recruiting rookies always seemed like the most sensible tactic, so I'm very curious to see how you'll do here. </p><p> </p><p>

Especially interested to see how you brand your tours and shows, as I don't think enough dynasties do anniversary, celebration and memorial themes for their big monthly events like it happens in Japan. Even I only use Generations, Heritage and Legacy as my three touring shows.</p>

I'm currently looking to start a Japanese diary of my own, so will definitely be following along, not only for tricks and tips, but also because that aggressive opening has me hooked! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I am very excited to see how this develops! I love the aggressive start.

Thanks for following!

I agree completely on the anniversary/special shows. This dynasty is kind of my open love letter to puro and will hopefully give you some nostalgic NOAH/AJPW vibes. You'll see anniversary, memorial, produce shows, heavy tournament play, 7 match trial series, etc...

I also have some more tricks up my sleeve going forward :)

RE: Aggressive start

Since there seems to be some interest into the "how" I'll give a little breakdown below as to what I'm trying to do.

Remember my goal here is to grab a TV deal before the whole industry goes in the tank with the tsunami looming in May, to set us up for afterwards.

Opening Moves

War

- Declare on 5SSW, EX2010, SAISHO, WLW & WEXXV on Day 1

- Allows you to steal talent immediately from above (they can work the day you sign as opposed to 7 day wait)

- Hurts the other companies title prestige if you take champions as they have to vacate titles (lowering title prestige and thus show ratings in the future)

- You can make Young Lions you steal loyal to you upon joining your company

Renegotiate all contracts on day 1 (Negotiating skill = 7)

- Roughly $2,500 in savings total from starting roster

- 6 month / 1 year contracts (so you can use that negotiating skill again come renewal time before workers ask for raises)

- In ring only

- No house shows

- Push control where applicable

- No travel covered

- Offer touring to Razan, Tanyu Toshusai & Yoshinaka Taku so AI can’t steal (and make Razan/Yosh loyal)

Loyalty

- Gain loyalty for any Japanese worker, 24 years and under, in which you offer a new contract and are not already loyal to another company

- Can be done resigning people in your current company (Razan, Naozane Goto, and Yoshinaka Taku are candidates to gain loyalty by resigning in BCG)

- Can gain loyalty by stealing loyalty candidates from other companies (if they are not already loyal)

- If not Japanese, no loyalty can be gained

- If not 24 or under and Japanese, resigning does not gain loyalty

Production

- Broadcast – Upgrade x2 – Fixed cost of 7.5k per month as opposed to per show (you are running a lot of shows)

- Music – Upgrade x2 – Fixed cost of 1k per month as opposed to per show (you are running a lot of shows)

- Distribution – Internet – gives 0.2 pop in each region per show (you are running a lot of shows)

Schedule

- Every region 2x in month for 0.8 pop gain in each region (weekly shows = reduced attendance)

- Big shows in Chubu/Kinki to max out revenue from big events (setup as monthly/annual events for larger attendance)

- You need to gain 3 pop (to reach 30) in each of your lower starting areas to gain your first TV deal, so...

+ 0.8 pop gain in each region (2 shows @ 0.4 per show) X 2 months worth of shows = 1.6 pop gain

+ internet distribution for rest of shows you run = ~1.6 pop gain (slight variance on what you get per show)

- anything you lose in regional battles = ~1-3 pop loss per month per region (slight variance on what you lose per regional battle loss)

... should have us arrive at a TV deal in late February if we perform well, or late April/early May if GCG or EX2010 pull out some great shows and knock us back a bit due to regional battles

Money

- We'll likely lose 10-15k per touring show in the beginning and make back 5-10k per monthly/annual event we run.

- You are going to eat into that starting $1M bankroll a bit in the first couple months, but the benefit of a TV deal combined with 3 months off during the year and the Grand Prix in April (where you can host larger shows) allows you to gain it back quickly without having to worry about going completely in the red.

- I expect us to lose 100-150k in each of the first 2 months, recover about 50k as we are off in March, then make about 50-100k with the Maeda GP in April.

Hope that helps!

<p>Pretty sure I also told you to hit me up when this materialized, but here regardless, if a bit late to the party. Thanks for your kind words and super hyped to follow this. The strategy breakdown was awesome too, helps crack the tough riddle that is running BCG.</p><p> </p><p>

So, will you be posting tour shows too or just the big ones?</p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Yokokawa is by far the best wrestler in this match and thus gets the submission victory here.</p><p>

Got lot's of "improving" notes in the match for Rokuemon/Naozane, which is great as they have potential but are no where close in the ring yet.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rokuemon Matsushita | Naozane Goto</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Kadonomara Kamisaka & Kiyotaka vs. Giant Brody & Yoriie Ippitsusai</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Result</strong></p><p>

Kadonomara Kamisaka defeated Yoriie Ippitsusai in 9:50 by submission with a Triangle Choke</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Ippitsusai is old, bad, and in time decline so he eats the pin here in a throw everyone together tag.</p><p>

Brody is one for the future, but lacks some basic skills now before a big push as a monster gaijin.</p><p>

Was hoping to catch some tag chemistry on Kamisaka/Kiyotaka to give me something to sink into with them, but no dice.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Blast Ikoma, Naonobu Murakami & Roku Sotomura vs. Dynamite Narahashi, Inejiro Yoshizawa & Noritoshi Miura</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Result</strong></p><p>

Roku Sotomura defeated Dynamite Narahashi in 15:09 by submission with a Twisted Bow And Arrow</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Murkami is 9 years in time decline, so he's used here to pass some skills to Blast while Roku carried the match.</p><p>

Dynamite eats the pin to protect the Storm Riders, as we don't need them to eat a pin just yet.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="ercVAgD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ercVAgD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>Yoshifusa Maeda</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Thank you to all who came out to support us here tonight.</p><p>

As I mentioned New Year's Day, this is the dawn of a new day for Black Canvas.</p><p>

We are no longer going to sit idly by as these other companies steal from our wrestling heritage to line their pockets.</p><p> </p><p>

I won't waste your time with flowery words; here is what you will see from us going forward.</p><p> </p><p>

Number 1, <strong>a renewed commitment to building from within.</strong></p><p>

We will have a whole new group of young lions debuting throughout the month in order to secure the future of BCG.</p><p>

We will also use our newly minted "RISE" show to pair these rookies up with some of our veterans and see what they can do!</p><p> </p><p>

Number 2, <strong>we will be starting a junior division.</strong></p><p>

If we want to take the fight to the rest of the companies in Japan, we need a place where wrestlers who share our ideals but may not be heavyweights are able to compete.</p><p>

We will be introducing members of the division throughout the month and holding a 8-man tournament in February to crown our inaugural Junior Heavyweight champion. </p><p> </p><p>

And finally, number 3, <strong>the Challenger Series Championship will start living up to it's name</strong>.</p><p>

Each month, we will hold a tournament with the winner gaining a Challenger Series championship opportunity the following month.</p><p>

The tournament winner will also automatically qualify for the Yoshifusa Maeda Grand Prix in April.</p><p>

Each month's tournament will have a theme, and with this being the Heritage Tour, all matches in this month's tournament will be decided the old way we used to do things in Japan, 2 out of 3 falls.</p><p> </p><p>

The Heritage Series will begin this week, with matches to be announced on BCG's website.</p><p> </p><p>

Chubu, we hope to see you again when we return for Lionheart: Funakoshi 10th Anniversary Show later in the month.</p><p> </p><p>

Thank you for joining us on this journey.</p><p> </p><p>

Modern Japan will be stopped, and we will be the ones to do it.</p><p> </p><p>

Now, on to our final two matches!"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Well... It's all out there now.</p><p>

Let's see how Modern Japan feels about that!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tanyu Toshusai & Team Taku (Toshinobu Taku & Yoshinaka Taku) vs. American Demolition (Big Bruiser Findlay & Bulldozer Brandon Smith) & Animal Harker</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Result</strong></p><p>

Big Bruiser Findlay defeated Toshinobu Taku in 19:37 by pinfall with an Atomic Spinebuster</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Team Taku & Tanyu vs American Demolition and another gaijin.</p><p>

Our Challenger and Tag Champs are both on the same side here, so you think the outcome would sway that way.</p><p>

However, I want to establish American Demolition as a credible threat, so Finlay picks up the win over the elder Taku to set up...</p><p> </p><p>

</div></p><p>

<div style="padding: 10px; border: 5px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #FFFFFF; max-width:85%;box-shadow: 0 4px 8px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2), 0 6px 20px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.19); background-image:url(<a href="https://i.imgur.com/AjdP60g.png" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/AjdP60g.png</a>);background-repeat:repeat-y;background-size:contain;background-position:center;"></p><p>

<strong>Big Bruiser Findlay | Bulldozer Brandon Smith | Toshinobu Taku | Yoshinaka Taku</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Post-Match, American Demolition celebrate in the ring.</p><p>

They start pointing at Team Taku and making a motion like they are putting a title belt on.</p><p>

The elder Taku, Toshinobu, puts the actual championship on his son Yoshinaka and then holds up his own belt toward Findlay and Smith.</p><p>

Looks like our first championship match for BCG Heritage 2016 has been set!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> This is the natural place to start with our tag belts.</p><p>

Father-Son team of the Taku's vs the evil menacing foreigners (who also happen to be some of our best workers).</p><p>

The build to Heritage 2016 has begun!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bunrakuken Torii & Razan Okamoto vs. Funakoshi & Sojuro Sen</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Result</strong></p><p>

Bunrakuken Torii defeated Sojuro Sen in 25:59 by pinfall with a Spinning Forearm Smash</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Yoshizawa's Note:</strong> Sen is leaving us shortly for GCG, so I wanted to give him a final send-off before joining the enemy.</p><p>

Our champ, Torii, gets the pin as Sen eats the pinfall.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Post Main Event</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

Sojuro Sen bows to all 4 sides of the ring as this is the last time he will be with BCG in Chubu. Sen then exits backstage.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi picks up the house mic and thanks the fans for coming out tonight and congratulates Torii & Razan on their hard-earned victory.</p><p> </p><p>

Torii & Razan join Funakoshi in the middle of the ring to celebrate.</p><p> </p><p>

As Funakoshi goes to raise both men's arms in triumph, Torii & Razan attack!</p><p>

They drive Funakoshi into the ring post and tee off on him with kicks and elbows.</p><p> </p><p>

Suddenly, unfamiliar music plays over the arena loudspeaker as Torii & Razan pause to see who it is...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tsuneyo Yanagimoto</strong></p><p> </p><p>

It's Tsuneyo Yanagimoto!!! The current EX2010 World Junior Heavyweight Champion!!!</p><p> </p><p>

Yanagimoto flies to the ring and cleans house with Funakoshi on Razan & Torii.</p><p> </p><p>

The two men scramble up the ramp, stunned, as Yanagimoto grabs the house mic from BCG's iconic black mat.</p><p> </p><p>

"Torii, I've come here to BCG for one reason.</p><p>

I've proven my worth as a Junior Heavyweight, and it's time to test myself at a new level.</p><p>

My conditions I gave to Meada-san upon joining Black Canvas were simple, I want a shot at the Heavyweight title to prove I'm worthy of the step-up in competition.</p><p> </p><p>

What do you say, 'Machine Gun', you and me at Heritage for the BCG World Championship?" </p><p> </p><p>

Torii, still stunned to see Yanagimoto here, pauses, smiles, and nods his acceptance.</p><p> </p><p>

Funakoshi raises Yanagimoto's hand as the two celebrate with the crowd as the show fades out.</p><p> </p><p>

Silver lining is that it allowed me time to coalesce my thoughts a bit so shows should come more frequently now.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>> Starting a Junior Division.</p><p> </p><p>

I could have accepted an Openweight Division, or a Light Heavyweight Division. But a Junior Division? What has come to our Land of Giants? </p><p> </p><p>

That said, 2/3 falls as a facet of BCG booking is something I've tinkered with on occasion and I'm happy to see someone else try it out. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm also loving the use of angles on the show. It's more than what I do on any one tour, so I'm curious to see how they play out in the long term. Definitely interesting considering these are online-broadcast shows, so I'm thinking of something like WRESTLE-1 where they're posting a clip show on Youtube with a one-camera set up and a backstage interview area.</p>

Heck Misawa, KENTA, Marafuji, etc... all started as Juniors before making the jump to the heavy's.</p><p> </p><p> More importantly, it gives us another "midcard-y" belt to elevate some guys before the elite ones make the jump to heavyweight. It also gives us an excuse to bring in some guys with flash/selling which are the two areas the starting roster severely lacks in. I always felt similarly, but after some consideration it was too good of an opportunity to pass up AND allows us to outright steal some more guys from MJM and have them fit in with the product.</p><p> </p><p> Glad you like the 2/3 falls as well. Each month the tournament will have a different theme so we can throw some different guys into Challengers Series contention and turn it into a bit of a workhorse belt.</p><p> </p><p> And you pegged it perfectly when it comes to presentation. Going for a W-1/AJPW/NOAH style presentation when it comes to shows, so the backstage interview/face-off angles dovetail nicely there.</p>

It's a bit like sumo in that regard, which in Japan doesn't have any weight divisions and is just a free-for-all that quietly supports building mass to accentuate your skills in order to out-power your opponents. </p><p> </p><p> That's not to say that you can't have lighter wrestlers in the company, it's just that they'll be the workhorses and fall-guys in singles and tag team competition. The way I book it, the lightest wrestler (if by a wide margin) will always lose, even if there's a heavier veteran on the downgrade who could eat the pin instead. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46391" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Glad you like the 2/3 falls as well. It preserves wrestlers from losing by pinfall or submission and is a fun little throwback. <p> </p><p> And you pegged it perfectly when it comes to presentation. Going for a W-1/AJPW/NOAH style presentation when it comes to shows, so the backstage interview/face-off angles dovetail nicely there.</p>

Workers will be debuting at shows throughout the Heritage Tour and will all participate at BCG RISE, Vol. 1 as well.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Azumamaro Kita</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> is the current SAISHO Destiny Champion who is known for his aggressive, strike-based attacks, often using Muay Thai inspired kicks and elbows to slug away at his opponent.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Kita is the only one of the workers above who join BCG as a veteran, while the rest join as Young Lions.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">----------</div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Azumamaro Shimizu</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> is a technical oriented worker who joins BCG from rival Golden Canvas Grappling. He has a great amateur wrestling base.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Danjuro Kikuchi</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> also joins BCG from rival GCG and is unashamedly an old fashioned fighter, from his methodical working of a body part right through to his plain black trunks and wrestling boots.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Gidayu "The Lariat" Katou</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> is a powerful competitor who, as his nickname suggests, possesses a fearsome lariat in his arsenal. A good natural athlete, he is quick and fluid in the ring.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Isoroku Arakaki</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> stands 6'10 and weighs 330lbs. He is particularly agile for a big man, but it is his devastating power and viciousness that are his trademarks, hurling opponents around the ring with abandon. He is particularly noted for his two biggest moves; one is his brutal Lariat, the other is the inverted piledriver that he calls the Arakaki Spike.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Motoyuki Miyake</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> is a tough-as-nails competitor who is noted for his permanently stern and serious expression. He is very much a no-frills fighter; he comes down to the ring in his usual blue trunks and shoot fighting gloves and boots, hits hard, fast and often, and then heads back to the locker room. His arsenal of moves is heavily influenced by MMA, with a lot of extremely stiff knees and kicks featuring heavily, and some painful armbar submissions too.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Stealth Z</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> is a young high flyer, although nobody is really sure who the man behind the mask really is. The character of "Stealth Z" is actually taken from a popular Manga animation where he is a mysterious samurai from the future; the wrestling version takes a similar approach, using many martial arts moves that the animated version uses too. In terms of in-ring skill, it is too early to tell how good he can become, but he is definitely an exciting talent to watch.</div></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
