This was an absolute scorcher of a brawl with no time for grandstanding or technical moves.

Dawnguard displayed good chemistry throughout, but the sheer power of Funakoshi & BIC proved to be too much here, as back to back Black Iron Lariats did in Okamoto and Miura.

Roku and Yokokawa begin the match encircling one another like an amateur wrestling bout. They eventually wade in to the fray and start trading holds with some chain wrestling. Both men are testing one another with holds with neither able to cinch in their dangerous submission finishers.

Neither man is able to gain the grappling advantage and stand up as Yokokawa starts firing way with leg kicks to Sotomura's left leg. A leg sweep from Yokokawa takes Roku off his feet as Nobuharu looks to apply his stump puller. Sotomura reverses it and ends up cradling Yokokawa for a close 2 count.

The two stand up as Yokokawa goes to work on Roku again with leg kicks, when Sotomura catches the third try, rolls through, and ends up with Yokokawa's leg caught behind him. Sotomura finishes the roll through and ties Yokokawa up in the Twisted Bow And Arrow where Yokokawa has to tap.

Sotomura jumps out to a 1-0 fall lead.

The two stand up again, but Roku is limping a bit on that left leg. The first fall only stiffens Yokokawa's resolve as he fires away again on the left leg with a quick 1-2 kick, then feints a 3rd that Roku bites on. Yokokawa uses the opening and hits a big double leg takedown that drives Roku to the mat. Yokokawa unleashes a series of elbows from above as Roku tries to protect his face. Yokokawa transitions to North-South position, stands up and locks in the Stump Puller on Roku's left leg as Sotomura taps while screaming in agony.

We are tied at 1 fall a piece!

Whoever wins the next fall will be the 1st BCG Heritage Series Champion!

The crowd comes alive as Yokokawa circles Sotomura, who can only turn on his one good leg at this point. Yokokawa comes in low with a chop block that knocks Roku off his feet again as the two men scramble for position. Yokokawa ends up with a leg lock on Roku's left leg that has Sotomura in bad shape. Sotomura tries to drag both men to the rope for a break, but Yokokawa stands up and drags Sotomura back to the center where he reapplies the hold. The hold is in deep this time and Roku has nowhere to go. He writhes in agony as he brings his hand down....

...Before his hand hits the mat though, Roku balls it into a fist and starts unleashing some heel kicks on Yokokawa and fights to a sitting position. With both men sitting up on the mat they trade vicious chops, elbows, and punches and eventually separate.

The crowd are standing now as Sotomura slaps his left leg a few times to try and get feeling back in it. Still clearly in a lot of pain he motions for Yokokawa to engage. Nobuharu goes for another chop block, but Roku side-steps it and brings down a huge knee drop with his good right leg on the back of Yokokawa's neck! Roku rains down elbow strikes from above that force Yokokawa to cover up. Seeing the opening, Roku hooks Yokokawa's leg and transitions to the Twisted Bow And Arrow again in the middle of the ring!

Yokokawa fight valiantly, but the hold is in too deep. After an agonizing 20 seconds that must of felt like 10 minutes to Yokokawa, Nobuharu taps before he slips out of consciousness.

Result

Roku Sotomura defeated Nobuharu Yokokawa in 11:47 by two falls to one, with the final fall happening by submission with a Twisted Bow And Arrow

Yoshinaka and Findlay start the match, with Findlay posing in his corner and trying to intimidate the younger Taku. Toshinobu cheers his son on from the corner and the younger Taku charges forward. He unloads on the big man with strikes, backing Findlay into the corner where Smith quickly tags himself in. Smith tries the same tactic but ends up in the same position as Findlay in the corner. Smith bear hugs Yoshinaka as he gets close as Findlay tags himself in and unloads on Yosh with kidney punches.

Findlay hits a couple power moves that take Taku off his feet as he rag dolls the smaller Taku around the ring. He goes for another slam, but Yoshinaka smoothly reverses it into a DDT to get some separation.

Toshinobu is stomping on the ring apron to get the crowd to help his son to his feet. Both men crawl to their corners and make the tag!

Toshinobu comes out swinging, clearly fired up by the beatdown AmDem have put on his son to this point. The two men trade strikes as Toshinobu actually gains the upper hand on the larger Smith in the exchange! A kick to the midsection bends the massive Smith over as Toshinobu looks to apply his Gutwrench Tombstone! Smith is too powerful though and anchors himself to the mat not allowing Taku to complete the move. With Taku's focus on Smith, Findlay flies out of the corner and hits a huge lariat on Toshinobu that flattens him.

Findlay retreats to the corner with Smith now firmly in control of the match. Smith stomps on the fallen Taku as he stares at Yoshinaka in the corner. Yoshinaka motions for Smith to let him in the ring, but Smith wags a finger at Yosh and tells Taku he's going to make him watch as he tortures his dad.

The beatdown continues on Toshinobu until Smith goes to pull him up by the scruff of his neck. With fire in his eyes, Toshinobu rocks Smith with a massive headbutt that sends Smith reeling.

The opening is what the elder Taku needed as he scrambles to his corner for the tag to Yoshinaka. Smith is still in the ring as he and Yosh unload on each other in one of those great Puro striking exchanges, with both men ending up leaning on each other in the middle of the ring exhausted. Summoning strength from some extra reserve tank, Yoshinaka separates and hits a beautiful dropkick that takes Smith off his feet. He follows it up with another to the apron on Findlay.

Taku scrambles to his corner and tags in his dad, as the father-son lift up the massive Smith from the ground. With the help of his son, Toshinobu spins the massive Smith up for his finisher, a Gutwrench Tombstone!

The younger Taku is looking on as his dad steadies himself for the move, when Yoshinaka is taken off his feet with a huge Atomic Spinebuster from Findlay who had slipped back in the ring!

Toshinobu's look of horror on his face is all the pause Smith needs, as he counters the Tombstone into one of his own, as Findlay helps him drop the elder Taku on his head with a Spike Tombstone!

American Demolition don't even attempt a traditional cover, as they stand with one foot each on Team Taku for the 3 count.

Maeda Announces Challengers Series Competition For February

Yoshifusa Maeda is back in the ring to announce the Challengers Series competition for February. He mentions that they will be changing their annual schedule up slightly this year and that the BCG Generations Tour 2016 will be held in February of this year. TagMania will be pushed to later in the year and will still hold a tag team tournament.

However, in honor of the Generations Tour being moved up, Maeda felt it was only appropriate to make the BCG Generations Series pay homage to it's namesake and be something that embodies the past and future of Black Canvas. Maeda announces that the BCG Generations Series will be a tag tournament pairing a veteran wrestler with a Young Lion! He sees this as an opportunity to have the "generations" of BCG work together and help both new and veteran wrestlers grow.

The winning team's veteran will face the BCG Challengers Series Champion in April!

Competitors and tournament brackets will be announced at the opening night of the BCG Generations Tour 2016!

The two men circle each other at the beginning slowly, sizing up their opponent. Each man feints a takedown attempt that is aborted when they see their opponent loaded up to attack.

Toshusai eventually comes in first, fighting for wrist control in a quick exchange with Gauge. It's back and forth action as the two men trade dominant positions, neither able to hang on to their advantage for long.

A back elbow by Gauge creates some space as Tanyu responds with some slicing knees to Gauge's right rib-cage. Toshusai follows it up with kicks to Gauge's side as well as he looks to be trying to take Gauge's power away for the Proton Lock Gauge's father, Sam Keith, made famous.

After the 3rd round of kicks, Gauge catches one and uncorks a wicked dragon screw on the champion!

With a bit of space again, both men collect themselves. Neither have been able to solve the riddle that is their opponent to this point, but Toshusai's frustration is starting to show through a little bit.

Gauge is the first to wade in this time as he swings wildly with his right hand. Toshusai captures Gauge's wrist and again goes after the ribs. Toshusai finishes the sequence by tying Gauge up in the ropes and unleashing some stomps to the ribs again.

Tanyu is not going to allow any air to breathe this time though as he follows it up. He lifts Gauge off the ground and tries for his Dangerous Brainbuster finisher! He hoists Gauge into the air, but Gauge connects with a knee to Tanyu's face on the way up!

Gauge slips behind Tanyu and tries to get him up for the Neutron Plex, another finisher made famous by his father that Gauge has never shown before! Gauge's body gives out and he can't find the strength to lift Tanyu!

Tanyu again tries for the Dangerous Brainbuster and gets him up! Gauge throws his heels over on the lift though and lands on his feet on the other side! Stunned, Toshusai fires a wild right hand of his own, that Gauge catches in a flying armbar!

Tanyu defends with all his might as Gauge tries to wrench the arm free, but Gauge can't pop his hips to extend the hold due to the rib damage he's suffered so far. Tanyu eventually grapples Gauge's shoulders to the mat for a quick two-count from the referee.

The two men reset as we hit the closing stretch with a flurry of punches from Gauge replied by Tanyu's elbows and kicks. Tanyu again hooks Gauge for his Dangerous Brainbuster but Gauge hits a double leg takedown on Tanyu that leaves him dizzy. Gauge locks in a Sharpshooter on Tanyu, throws his shoulders back and cinches in the world famous Proton Lock.

Tanyu has no choice but to tap!!!

Torii made mention in the Dawnguard interview a week ago that he doesn't intend for this to be a technical wrestling clinic, and he backs that statement up by flying forward and Yanagimoto to start the match! Yanagimoto avoids his initial charge and then does his best Bruce Lee impression as every strike Torii fires finds nothing but air as Tsuneyo bobs and weaves.

It continues like this until Yanagimoto puts an exclamation point on it as a huge swing of Torii's right hand comes up empty again after another slick move from Yanagimoto. It's three minutes into the match and neither man has touched each other, through no lack of trying by Torii.

Tsuneyo asks Torii what the problem is. Why can't Torii hit him? He's right here in front of him after-all... as Yanagimoto looks around and smiles at the crowd.

That momentary hesitation was all the opening Torii needed as he finally touches Yanagimoto after driving a knee into his stomach. "Machine Gun" Torii finally starts living up to his nickname and fires off forearms into Yanagimoto as he backs him to the ropes. Yanagimoto feels the ropes at his back and hits a quick dropkick while hanging on to the ropes that creates some separation. In one quick move, Yanagimoto switches his grip on the ropes and hits an Asai Moonsault that sends both men crashing to the iconic black mat.

Sensing an opportunity, Yanagimoto begins to chain wrestle with Torii as the two men exchange holds with Yanagimoto always ending up in a dominant position. The final exchange sees Yanagimoto end up on Torii's back with an Octopus Stretch locked in. Torii is able to fight through it and get to his feet with the smaller Yanagimoto on his back, then fall backwards into a corner to create some space.

The two struggle to their knees and fire off strikes that knock each man back. They make it to their feet and continue the strike barrage! Torii rebounds off the rope and goes for his patented Spinning Forearm Smash finisher, but Yanagimoto ducks it and hits a big release Mikado Bomb that sends Torii across the ring!

One.....Two.....

Kickout from Torii!

Not to be deterred, Yanagimoto leaps to his feet and sprints towards the ropes. He launches himself to the top rope for another Asai Moonsault on the fallen Torii!

As Yanagimoto's feet hit the top rope, Torii springs to life, spins and greets the challengers moonsault with a Spinning Forearm Smash to his face while Yanagimoto is still upside down on his moonsault revolution! Yanagimoto crashes to the mat as Torii hooks the far leg while the ref counts

Three!

Torii celebrates with the title raised aloft as the show fades out.

Oh wow, it's like I've booked BCG before <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Honestly though, I tend to lose a lot of talent to AI raids right out the gates. You've kept a lot of those people, brought in new faces and introduced a junior division so I expect this to get harder for me to predict as the months roll on.

"Machine Gun" Bunrakuken Torii is a rising star in Japan, one of the first break-out stars that Black Canvas Grappling unearthed. An athletic 240lber, Torii gained his nickname because of his rapid fire forearm attacks, used especially when he's backed an opponent into a corner and can really unleash hell; the forearm is actually the basis of a large percentage of his moves, including a sweet flying forearm from the top rope and his finisher, the spinning forearm smash. Known for his warrior spirit, Torii took a big step toward greatness when he won the Yoshifusa Maeda Grand Prix in 2014, then followed that up by winning the BCG World title in 2015 - that victory made him the first person to win the BCG Quadruple Crown.

A rising star in Japan, Razan Okamoto was discovered by Black Canvas Grappling and has been wrestling for them since their first show. A quick, athletic wrestler, Okamoto's big strength is actually on defence - his selling is extraordinary, he simply has the natural ability to suck people into caring about him. That, plus his cheeky charisma, makes him a natural babyface and one of the big prospects for BCG's future. He shocked everyone by making it to the final of the Yoshifusa Maeda Grand Prix tournament in 2013; although he lost to Funakoshi, the tournament firmly established him as a future star. He repeated the feat in 2014, losing to Bunrakuken Torii, before finally coming good and winning the entire tournament in 2015.

Noritoshi Miura is best known as a tag team worker, being the regular partner of Inejiro Yoshizawa. They first came to fame as The Apocalypse Riders, a team that was created for a one-shot appearance in WLW that saw them wearing colourful face paint and spiked armour - Miura was called Spirit Of The Shark. They retained that gimmick for several years on the independent circuit, right up until they joined Black Canvas Grappling's initial roster. Realising that their gimmicky look would not go over well with the BCG audience they appeared under their real names and adopted patriotic Japanese outfits to get themselves noticed. They have become a fine, championship-winning tandem in BCG.

<div style="text-align:left;">After 16 hard-fought shows, the BCG Heritage Tour 2016 came to a close last night at Settsu City Gymnasium! It's been a busy month for Black Canvas, so let's take a look at the tour that just wrapped up!

News was made from Yoshifusa Maeda before the first gong of the tour even sounded, when he decided to kick off the new year with an <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2338534&postcount=6" rel="external nofollow">electric press conference</a> that <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2338398&postcount=1" rel="external nofollow">declared "war" on the entirety of the Modern Japan "Movement"</a>!

BCG Heritage Tour 2016 - Opening Night</div>

The tour itself kicked off with the <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2342888&postcount=19" rel="external nofollow">Opening Night of the BCG Heritage Tour 2016</a> from Kaizu Civic Center which featured a bevy of special announcements from Maeda himself. The owner of Black Canvas announced that:

- A new crop of young Lions had been signed and would make their debut throughout the tour

- BCG will be starting a Junior division, with a tournament to crown the new champion in February

- Each month there will be a tournament with the winner qualifying for the Maeda GP and gaining an automatic Challengers Series title opportunity. The Heritage Series will be 2/3 falls with the winner facing the BCG Challengers Series Champion in February.

American Demolition prevailed in six-man tag action over Team Taku and challenged them to a match for the BCG World Tag Team Championships at BCG Heritage 2016.

The match and moment of the night however belonged to the main event, with Bunrakuken Torii & Razan Okamoto facing off against Funakoshi & Sojuro Sen in tag team action. Sen, in what proved to be his penultimate match with the company, ate a Spinning Forearm Smash from Bunrakuken Torii that put him away.

Sen's teammate, the legendary Funakoshi, was jumped by Torii & Razan post-match, but was saved by a debuting Tsuneyo Yanagimoto!

Yanagimoto & Funakoshi fought off the attackers and the night ended with Tsuneyo challenging Torii for the BCG World Championship at the tour finale, which Torii accepted!

After the show, the <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2343569&postcount=24" rel="external nofollow">new class of BCG regulars and the BCG Heritage Series bracket was revealed</a> on the BGC website.

BCG also announced <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2343716&postcount=27" rel="external nofollow">9 more freelancers who would be coming in to work the tour and a special six-man tag for BCG Legacy</a>. The six-man would feature American Demolition and the mysterious "X" vs. Team Taku and Tanyu Toshusai.

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2343720&postcount=28" rel="external nofollow">Night 2</a> of the tour featured Motoyuki Miyake making his BCG debut and Yoshisada Matsuzawa beating Kadonamaro Kamisaka in a BCG Heritage Series First Round Match.

We also got an official name for the new team of Torii & Okamoto (Dawnguard) and Sojuro Sen's final match in BCG. Funakoshi sent Sen out on his back with a Butterfly Backbreaker.

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2343869&postcount=31" rel="external nofollow">Night 3</a> featured another BCG debut, this time by Azumamaro Shimizu, and Roku Sotomura notching a victory in the a BCG Heritage Series First Round Match over Sharaku Okimasa. Tsuneyo Yanagimoto also picked up his first victory in BCG, pinning Kiyotaka in six-man action during the night's main event.

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2344062&postcount=32" rel="external nofollow">Night 4</a> saw Gidayu "The Lariat" Katou debut and the newly minted Dawnguard pick up the win in the main event over Blast Ikoma & Nobuharu Yokokawa.

The <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2344236&postcount=35" rel="external nofollow">5th night</a> of the tour saw Shimizu get his first chance to headline a show, teaming with Roku Sotomura against Funakoshi and Yanagimoto. Funakoshi prevailed as Shimizu fell victim to the Butterfly Backbreaker, but Shimizu showed well in the opportunity. Danjuro Kikuchi also made his BCG debut.

BCG Legacy: Pistol Pete Hall Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony</div>

The time had come for <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2345716&postcount=51" rel="external nofollow">BCG Legacy: Pistol Pete Hall's Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony</a> at Kashihara Civic Center. <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2344986&postcount=46" rel="external nofollow">Naizen Uboshita made his debut at the color commentary desk</a> and Azumamaro Kita made his anticipated BCG debut with a win over Noritoshi Miura.

Kita was confronted by Miura & Yoshizawa post-match, but Fujio Narahashi came to his aid and it was made known that Black Iron Corps will be a mainstay in BCG.

Elsewhere on the card, Nobuharu Yokokawa defeated Dynamite Narahashi in a BCG Heritage Series First Round Match and Pistol Pete Hall had a very nice Hall Of Fame induction segment, with the crowd showering the legend with support.

American Demolition revealed that "X" in their special six-man tag match would be none other than Greg Gauge! Gauge made an immediate impact in BCG picking up the direct win over Tanyu Toshusai in the special six-man tag match.

In the main event, Tsuneyo Yanagimoto picked up the direct pinfall win over Bunrakuken Torii with a Mikado Bomb. Funakoshi closed the show by inviting Pistol Pete back out to help him announce his opponent for his 10th anniversary show, BCG Lionheart. Funakoshi's announced that he would face Yoshinaka Taku in the match and wanted to use his anniversary show to test the future of BCG.

Roku Sotomura picked up a tag match win in a Heritage Series seminal preview, and the team of American Demolition & Greg Gauge prevailed in the main event.

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2347308&postcount=68" rel="external nofollow">Night 7</a> featured the final first round match in the BCG Heritage Series, with Rokuemon Matsushita knocking off Animal Harker. Black Iron Corps notched their first win as a team in BCG and Stealth Z made his BCG debut.

BCG RISE Vol. 1</div>

The <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2347341&postcount=69" rel="external nofollow">match card was announced for BCG RISE Vol. 1</a>, an event that showcases the Young Lions in BCG and gives the fans a chance to see them in some high profile matches.

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2347564&postcount=72" rel="external nofollow">The event</a> itself was headlined by Funakoshi & Azumamaro Kita defeating Razan Okamoto & Azumamaro Shimizu in tag team action.

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2347659&postcount=73" rel="external nofollow">Night 8</a> of the tour saw American Demolition and Gauge again take home a victory in the main event. Yoshisada Matsuzawa and Nobuharu Yokokawa got into a scuffle after their six-man tag match in advance of their BCG Heritage Series semifnal showdown at BCG Lionheart.

BCG Lionheart: Funakoshi 10th Anniversary Show</div>

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2348337&postcount=85" rel="external nofollow">BCG Lionheart</a> was next, and it proved to be an eventful show. Black Iron Corps got into it with Miura & Yoshizawa after their 6-man match, but were cautioned not to engage when Dawnguard showed up to have Miura & Yoshizawa's back.

Nobuharu Yokokawa and Roku Sotomura both won BCG Heritage Series Semifinal Matches that booked their spots at the tour finale.

Dawnguard won a special tag match over Yanagimoto and Bulldozer, and also debuted their new tag finisher "Dawnbreaker", a tandem Spinning Forearm Smash (Torii) and running V-Trigger/Blackout knee to the opponents lower back (Razan).

Gauge & Findlay beat Tanyu Toshusai & the elder Taku in a special tag match, which Gauge followed up by challenging Tanyu for the BCG Challengers Series Championship at the tour finale.

Yoshinaka Taku gave Funakoshi all he could handle in the main event for Funakoshi's 10th Anniversary match, but the decade anniversary man won out with a Butterfly Backbreaker.

Funakoshi thanked Taku for a good match and brought out Tsuneyo Yanagimoto, wishing him luck in his title challenge versus Torii. Dawnguard came out and brought Miura & Yoshizawa with them, the four men all now sporting the red and yellow colors of Dawnguard! Things looked in dire straits for Fuankoshi & Tsuneyo until Black Iron Corps evened the odds and allowed Funakoshi to stand tall at the end of his anniversary show.

A <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2348469&postcount=92" rel="external nofollow">six-man tag was added to the tour finale</a> after the melee, with Funakoshi & Black Iron Corps set to take on Razan, Miura & Yoshizawa.

<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2348737&postcount=95" rel="external nofollow">Night 9</a> of the tour was all about a big eight-man tag between Dawnguard and Funakoshi, Tsuneyo & Black Iron Corps. Yoshifusa Maeda noted that he is excited to bring in some of the elite talent from these two promotions and also sees an opportunity for Black Canvas talent to work their shows as well in the future.

Dawnguard ended up dropping both of the matches on the night. Extended post-match stare downs almost brought the participants to blows, but they were separated before it went too far.

It was also announced that Mercury had graduated from Young Lion status with BCG.

Huge news were announced on the eve of BCG Heritage 2016 when Yoshifusa Maeda went public with a <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2352059&postcount=121" rel="external nofollow">TV agreement with J-Network East 3</a> to show their big events live and highlights of the touring shows on the JNE3 network.

Then, it was finally time for <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2352483&postcount=129" rel="external nofollow">BCG Heritage 2016</a>!

Yoshifusa Maeda made a couple of huge announcements on the show:

- The 16 participants and brackets were revealed for the BCG World Junior Heavyweight Championship tournament in February

- The Generations Tour 2016 will be the next tour up on BCG's schedule, highlighted by a BCG Generations Series tournament that will pair a veteran member of the roster with a Young Lion. The winning veteran will face the BCG Challengers Series Champion in April.

Funakoshi & Black Iron Corps used their power advantage to dismiss the Dawnguard team of Razan Okamoto, Miura & Yoshizawa in a special six-man tag.

Roku Sotomura took home the first BCG Heritage Series tournament with a two falls to one win over Nobuharu Yokokawa.

American Demolition defeated Team Taku in a back and forth match for the BCG World Tag Team Championships and became the 8th BCG World Tag Team Champions.

The gaijin's kept rolling as Greg Gauge's Proton Lock did in Tanyu Toshusai for the BCG Challengers Series Championship, with Gauge becoming the 9th BCG Challengers Series Champion.

In the main event, Torii held on for dear life to his BCG World Championship over Tsuneyo Yanagimoto in one of the best matches in BCG to date. With the win, Torii made his fourth defense of the BCG World Championship.

All-in-all, The BCG Heritage Series 2016 was a success for BCG and injected a lot of new blood into the promotion.

Overview:

Tobei Sugimura is a lightweight wrestler from Japan. When he first broke into the business (via the PGHW dojo) he was extremely skinny, sported bright blue hair, and most of the time was used as little more than an enhancement talent. Eventually realising that he was getting nowhere in a hurry, Sugimura went on hiatus throughout 2010 in order to regroup - when he returned he had increased his muscle mass substantially, shaved off his ridiculous hair, and had swapped his gaudy yellow trunks for black martial arts pants and painted-on symbols on his face and body. The new look worked, as he found work with EXODUS 2010 almost immediately. In 2015 he added SAISHO to his list of employers, showing how in demand he is.

Overview:

Totoya Munakata is a mat-based wrestler with distinctive dyed red hair which has given rise to the nickname "The Blood Fighter". Despite being physically quite small, tipping the scales at just 208lbs, he is a natural athlete with surprising strength. A rising star in Japan, Razan Okamoto was discovered by Black Canvas Grappling and has been wrestling for them since their first show. A quick, athletic wrestler, Okamoto's big strength is actually on defence - his selling is extraordinary, he simply has the natural ability to suck people into caring about him. That, plus his cheeky charisma, makes him a natural babyface and one of the big prospects for BCG's future. He shocked everyone by making it to the final of the Yoshifusa Maeda Grand Prix tournament in 2013; although he lost to Funakoshi, the tournament firmly established him as a future star. Hirokichi "Stone" Yoshikawa is a Japanese worker who smartly moved to Canada very early in his career to learn wrestling under the guidance of the famous Stone family in NOTBPW; he now uses "Stone" as his first name as a sign of respect to the family. Yoshikawa returned to Japan in 2006 after a four year stint in Canada, much improved as a wrestler, and was swiftly signed up to a development contract by PGHW; perhaps a mark of their admiration for the Stone family. Working for Pro Wrestling SAISHO, he quickly established himself as a star and regular champion before moving up to PGHW in 2010. Azumamaro Shimizu

<div style="text-align:left;">Black Canvas Grappling announced today that Azumamaro Shimizu will be undergoing a Seven Match Trial Series on the upcoming BCG Generations Tour 2016.

This is a chance for Shimizu to test himself against the veterans on the BCG roster and if he proves his worth in the bouts, graduate from Young Lion status.

His seven matches have been added to BCG's Generations Tour 2016 schedule

<div style="text-align:left;">Masayuki Shiga today spoke on a local radio show about his 33-year career in wrestling and his upcoming retirement show, BCG Last Warrior.

The "Last Warrior" was in rare form talking about how he loved the new direction BCG was going in and opened up about his plans for the future. He mentioned how he's made a lot of friends in the business over the years and is both sad and excited to move on to the next stage of his life.

Shiga plans to announce his opponents for his retirement match at the opening night of BCG Generations Tour 2016 and promised that the match itself will be one that the fans will not forget.

Fans can see Shiga in action one last time at BCG Last Warrior: Masyuki Shiga Retirement Show at Wakayama Industrial Hall in Kinki. The show will also be shown live on J-Network East 3.

Funakoshi, Yoshinaka Taku & Nobuharu Yokokawa vs. Dawnguard (Bunrakuken Torii, Inejiro Yoshizawa & Noritoshi Miura)

This was a hard-hitting match between a lot of top tier talent in BCG. Funakoshi, Taku, and Nobuharu brought the fight to Dawnguard, but the chemistry of the 3 Dawnguard members was too much for the opposition to overcome.

A Storm Rider (Death Valley Driver) from Miura downed Yokokawa, who then rose just in time to meet a Spinning Forearm Smash from the champ to give Dawnguard the victory.

Result

Bunrakuken Torii defeated Nobuharu Yokokawa in 16:22 by pinfall with a Spinning Forearm Smash

Roku Sotomura & Black Iron Corps (Azumamaro Kita & Fujio Narahashi) vs. Greg Gauge & American Demolition (Big Bruiser Findlay & Bulldozer Brandon Smith)

Sotomura & Gauge are slated to face-off for the Challengers Series Championship later in the tour, and their encounters did not disappoint here. Both men brought a phenomenal technical wrestling style throughout.

Black Iron Corps and American Demolition brought heavy strikes and power to the affair.

The closing stretch saw BIC go for their patented Black Iron Lariat on Gauge, who ducked at the last moment as Fujio hit Kita instead.

American Demolition dumped Sotomura off the apron and hit a Spike Tombstone on Narahashi.

Gauge capitalized and locked in the Proton Lock for the W.

Result

Greg Gauge defeated Fujio Narahashi in 19:39 by submission with a Proton Lock

Gauge is celebrating his victory with the BCG Challengers Series Championship raised aloft. Gauge is staring down at Sotomura who is leaned up against the guardrail at ringside. Gauge starts running his mouth saying he knows Roku has a title opportunity but he will tie him up in knots just like he did his teammate here tonight.

Roku stands up, walks toward the ring, and says one word,

"Nagoya"

Roku stars backing up the ramp as Gauge smiles and we see Gauge nod to the back.

Roku is stuck between a rock and a hard place as all 6 men work their way towards Sotomura. Just as they arrive to Roku, Black Iron Corps come to in the ring and come flying out to try and help Roku.

They fight valiantly, but 6 on 3 is just too much to overcome. The brawl ends with Roku & Black Iron Corps being put through those hard Japanese tables at ringside by 2 men each.

The 6 men make their way back to the ring, as Gauge and American Demolition look at each other and lift the Challengers and Tag Championships over their heads. Gauge has a wry smile on his face while Findaly & Smith stare a hole through the audience.

Brody & Harker grab a flag from underneath the ring and hold it up as well as all 6 men pose for the crowd as the show fades out.

The flag has a logo on it that reads...
