He caught out IER, and also Opulent, but that was after his obvious Cult recruitment (my bad #2), which made no one trust him. He actually asked for a replacement after n3 but I couldn’t find anyone, but I definitely think the whole Archer situation rattled him. His first two marks were the scum hitman, and then the cult recruiter, only target townies the next 3 nights, finally choosing Opulent on n6 only to get blocked (for the 2nd time). Then he wanted to push the button, only to switch to targeting the untargetable don, and die that night. Had he chosen to push the button, he would have gotten it off with his dying breath, only for the game to end, as it would end up 3-3, so its not necessarily a bad thing, but still I’m sure the role had to feel a little worse than it could have.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Eliphas</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Rayelek" data-cite="Rayelek" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46549" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong><span style="color:#0000FF;">You are the Crew Aligned Security Officer.</span></strong><p> </p><p> You’re in charge of keeping the peace. You may only communicate outside of the game through this private channel.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>You win when all threats to the crew have been eliminated.</strong></p><p> </p><p> A link to the private channel can be found here: [REDACTED]</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Poor Emark. He spend the first day phase alone, got blocked on his second recruitment, and then basically continued to be alone after The Two died, as Rev died super soon after. If I were running this again, he’d have had the choice of recruit on odd nights and kick on even nights, so it wouldn’t necessarily be an either/or, given how slow the recruiting actually was.</p>

This might have made a difference as there was a Self Protect to give out. Show’s role was a backup for Emark’s, and with Emark living to the end, he ended up just being a vanilla townie getting frustrated that he didn’t understand his role. Big apologies to you, Showtime. Next time, the role would start as part of the mason group, and simply take over as recruiter upon that guy’s death.</p>

Had any of them been recruited by the Mutineers, they would have been able to take over as recruiter after bak died. The plan was for at least 1 Crewman for each 8 players, but I ended up with more than that, and the Mutineers still didn’t recruit any, which is okay. I don't blame anyone for how the game ended; I thought most played well and were active. It was just a matter of disagreeing about who the last few scum were, and a misplaced vote. Things happen, we learn and move on.</p>

If he became the Paranoid Technician, he’d probably be hunting Mutineers, but it’s hard to say. There’d obviously be some scum on the list too.</p>

The roles that were cut seem really interesting. It's a shame you didn't get to use them, Ray. This game was a lot of fun.

And Emark summed it up best from a town perspective:

From a scum perspective, it also rings true. As the game got into mid/late-game we got too tangled up and almost lost the game ourselves. Some definite positives for future scum teams to incorporate but also some elements that can clearly be improved on and done better.

But overall... man this game was a crazy battle. Both sides had momentum at times and even until the end this game could've went in any direction. Which, ultimately, is the best type of mafia games in my mind. This one was fun.

Thanks Ray and Derek B! And thanks everyone for playing and being great people to interact and play with.

Not getting any red scum in the end (while town all agreed on some names)...also means a good scum play. Reading the team play in discord, ... well played.

Oh man, hind sight and all ... I'd have played this role completely different. You played it to the uber-townie to the point nobody believed it (I think). But you played it....like I said, for some reason the Belgian and the UK-guys have a bad reading on eachother from the go. Even pre-Brexit 10 years ago! :D

This game also made a bit of a mockery what us -old timers- were claiming at the graveyard a few game ago....if "I" would have played, "he" would have been lynched long ago...I think the latter part of the game was basically Rev and DJ (possibly myself) heading out like "naa, one of these has to be scum"....

I enjoyed the game....good setup Ray.

Do people want a phase by phase who did what/what the write ups meant? I could still do that if people are interested, but after the roles I wasn't sure its necessary.</p>

A game is not done after the game-over, it's done after everyone can whine about the decision of others. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
